Mahi Mahi is the best spot for Ensenada's Marsico's, pasta, and steaks in town. Great service, fresh sea food, and tasty drinks that give you a nice served dinner. There is private and public parking in the back. Entering the restaurant with or without a reservation is hassle free even when its heavy rush hour. The area is huge and fancy with light chandeliers and well decorated chairs/tables. Guest are able to choose where they sit, and many choose near the coastline. The views from the restaurant was one side showing downtown Ensenada and the view of the coastline. You can see people dancing in downtown Ensenada while on the coastline viewing the sky and sunset hitting the water beautifully. Another fun fact was viewing chefs through the windows preparing your order as fresh as possible. If the staff missed or messed up an order, they would apologize and give you the choice of a 20% discount or the dish itself free. The staff were polite, clean, and professionally handled our orders well in a timely manner. The time for seating was right away and are well during rush hour. The time frames between the food was 10 min which was well, and I didn't mind. We were seated near the bar which had such a nice aroma of wine and pasta which is amazing. They also offer sit downs near the bar for small parties or guest for a quick lunch/dinner break. For starters, each person can start off with or soup or salad and the clam chowder is the rich and decadent of them all. After, you are served chips and salsa or shrimp tostitos which are fried white jalapeños stuffed which cream cheese shrimp. The prices are reasonable, and you can fill yourself up for under $8. Seafood can be expensive but here at Mahi Mahi my family ate well for under $100. I loved the different varieties of food and drinks and the staff accompanied your questions of the orders. I ordered a Clamato preparado, clam chowder, and the provincial sea shrimp/scallop entree. There a good varity of pasta and steak which are well paired together. For dessert I had the Tamarindo Margarita which is the best margarita I have ever tasted, it consists of tamarindo ice cream or shaved ice with a margarita wrapped in chile candy and served in a margarita glass. By far it is the best Marsico's restaurant in town and I would go again when I return to Ensenada. We celebrated my brother's birthday, and the staff organized a nice birthday song and delicious chocolate cake/ice cream dessert that is to die for. The entertainment is outstanding! They have tvs, karaoke stage, mariachi, singers, or performers which are open on weekends and on weekdays its classical music singers or dancers. At the bar area there is 62 different alcoholic drinks to try and 104 different wines from around the world. Near the ending they package your meal to go if you would like and each person is served 1 free scoop of ice cream or slice of flan. Overall, I give Mahi 5 stars I enjoyed this so much and I hope others do to hopefully I can return soon! Gracias Isaac, for recommendation from San Nicolas Hotel! read more
