    Cucumber Lemonade and Tuna Ceviche
    Ashley C.

We came here on our food tour to try out their popular tuna ceviche. I was expecting raw tuna since I'm used to ceviche having raw fish, but this one was cooked tuna, and had more of a roasted and smoky flavored sauce, rather than fresh citrus juices. It was definitely different than a typical ceviche so I can see why it's popular. They also provide three different chili oil sauces that you can add on top. It wasn't too spicy but definitely added some great flavor. I wish they gave chips instead of one tostada though because I ran out before I finished my ceviche. We finished off the spicy meal with some refreshing cucumber lemonade which definitely hit the spot! There aren't many seats here but luckily we came when it wasn't too busy so we were able to sit right at the bar while they prepared our food.

So fricken good! Please go and try it out! Limited seating and no restrooms but food is phenomenal. You will be dreaming about the meal long after you are gone. The starwars plates dont hurt and the artwork is trendy! They have lots of varieties of salsas machas to try as well!

Really interesting take on ceviche. We got the ceviche 240, and the swordfish; both were delicious. In a land of excellent seafood, 240 Grill does its best to stand out! Helpful, friendly staff, especially since we speak little Spanish. We will be back!

Really loved our meal here. The big difference is that a lot of the food is grilled, rather than battered, which I'm a big fan of. Also the tacos are massive, with lots of interesting variations to go with fish, shrimp and octopus.

Best place in Ensenada for tacos. We have been to Ensenada 5 times over a 6 Month period and tried many places. Tacos are Fresh seafood caught that day and healthy. Outdoor seating with nice ambience. Great service. Excellent English.

Ensenada 8/17/17 Very good food super fresh nice young chef with creative style We had the octopus quesadilla and tuna ceviche

The "GOBER" taco (Gobernador Taco) is legit the most delicious sea food taco I've had in my life! Mouthwatering full of flavor with the right amount of everything that's in it!

Listen to the cooks and get what they recommend. We had 3 different tacos marlin, bbq shrimp, and one I can't remember. The ceviche is fresh smoky and like none I've had. Gracias 240!!!

I rode my motorcycle 6 hours round trip across Baja to eat lunch at 240 and it was worth it. I'm staying in San Felípe and found 240 on Yelp so set my gps and couldn't be happier! If you're a foodie making a stop in Ensenada put this on your "must eat" list. There are a few other good restaurants in this building so it's a great stop and there's a parking lot. The cucumber agua Fresca was the best I've had and the 240 ceviche rates top 5 small plates of all time. Go!

Freaking awesome. Gourmet tacos! Sea snail! Off the charts. Octopus, off the charts. Make sure you try the chef's special chili sauce!

Muy Bueno! Tons of flavor! Very creative food! Not your everyday taco shop! Must try everything!

I ate a late lunch here on a Sunday afternoon with two companions. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. We got ceviche as a starter, grilled dorado tacos, octopus pastor, and dorado burritos. The dishes were served with lots of fresh red onion, red and green bell pepper, and pineapple. All the dishes were fresh and delicious, served hot off the grill. We especially enjoyed the house made salsa. It was fun to see the cooks prepare the food across the bar. The grill is open to the street, and was crowded with customers. The price was reasonable, a full meal with beer for 3 people for about 30 US dollars. Quick service and the staff spoke English, which was helpful for us.

Best Seafood Taco Shop in town!!

Best Seafood Tacos. Shrimp pastor was off the hook. Ceviche and their salsas are to die for. Not only the best food but a great service. Thank you Fernando and Jr. for making sure we had the best food and a good time. A must go if you are in Ensenada.

The last time my friends attempted to eat here, the restaurant was full and it will take at least a 30 minute wait to get seated. Today, the 21st of November was our lucky day as we were craving the freshest ceviche Ensenada has to offer and experiencce the five star rating Muelle 3 was known for. Our party of 4 chose to sit outside to eat lunch on this cool, cloudy Friday afternoon and be exposed to the sights and sounds of this busy commercial and fishing port. Within minutes of getting settled, our free appetizer - Tortilla Espanola and a plate full of lemon & lime slices with an oyster shell-full of sea salt and chili powder occupied the center of our table. Then came the Ceviche de la casa. A winner in my book of ceviches! Plus a coaster-sized, fresh off the pan tortilla chips gave it a unique serving style. We had to order another bowl of tortillas because eating ceviche without it just won't be the same. The Calamar frito were perefectly breaded, without excess flour and grease in every bite. Another winner! Last but not the least is the Pasta de Mar with the clams of different sizes and pre-cut scallops in the their shell. Muy Delicioso! More hungry patrons started arriving and we still got prompt service. I will make it a point to grab a satisfying seafood dish or two here the next time I visit Ensenada whether by car or by cruise ship.

This time, I wasn't taking any chances. I called exactly 10 days out (their max window) to lock in a reservation. We arrived early and were seated right away. Our server was super friendly and honest, too. When he saw us ordering the mixed sashimi and the ceviche, he gently suggested we get a half order instead, since we had a lot of other dishes coming. We agreed... and were shocked by how big the half portion was! Our son said, "I've never seen a restaurant talk us out of ordering more food." Respect. Honest people, great vibes. As for the food: * Mixed sashimi (yellowtail & octopus): 3/5 * Ceviche: 5/5 * Fried calamari: 4/5 * Prawns with pasta: 5/5 * Three fish risotto: 6/5 (still dreaming about it) Drinks included a michelada, margarita, and a couple beers. All that for under $120. Total win. Amazing meal at a chill spot with people who treat you right. Highly recommend and it will be a must stop for our future visit.

My fellowship, a cluster of mere mortals with taste far keener than foresight, insisted we seek a place foretold in gustatory prophecy: La Cocedora de Langosta. I assented, though the sea had begun to speak again. A cruel trick of salt and memory. We arrived. The lobster was not served--it presented itself. Shell split like prophecy fulfilled, meat steaming with tales older than Atlantis. The ceviche? Lime and fire in perfect alchemy. It hissed in my mouth like the last words of a betrayed siren. A whole fish, fried until its soul ascended, left bones so clean they could be used in ritual. Angels wept; I salted accordingly. The risotto arrived next, not on a plate but in a chalice. Each bite stirred marrow and memory, comfort and command. My sea legs stood straighter. My resolve thickened. Libations flowed--freely, fervently, faultlessly. The chalice refilled itself (or perhaps the staff were trained in illusion and replenishment). Laughter, clinking glass, and something close to joy dared to rise. Staff were keen-eyed adepts, operating with the grace of trained familiars. The atmosphere carried hints of volcanic enchantment and citrus optimism. Barry the Brave Muffin Baker--my misguided nemesis-ally--might have found peace here. Or at least, a decent aioli. Verdict: A rare convergence of flesh, flavor, and fate. Five stars scorched upon the firmament by my hand. I may never return. But that's only because the enchantment forbade it.

The original location was where the modern fish taco was born supposedly. It all started when Mesoamericans nixtamalized maize, which became flatbreads. Eventually it led to corn tortillas, which were used to hold various fillings like seafood. The Spanish Colonial period introduced new ingredients and cooking techniques. Japanese fishermen in Baja California during the early 20th century helped popularize tempura-style frying. Seafood vendors brought batter fish to the mercado in the 50s/60s, which became a hit. Then a San Diego State University student opened the first Rubio's a couple decades later, and now fish tacos are enjoyed by everyone today. I didn't spend much time here because I had to make it back onto the cruise ship. But as someone who appreciates food and history, it was nice to walk around. The original mercado shuttered in 1967 and the vendors relocated to the waterfront, and eventually moved into the building you see now. Lots of stalls selling all different types of seafood. There's also restaurants nearby where you can order ceviche, cocteles, oysters, and other regional specialties. They also brought complimentary chips, salsas, lime, and cabbage, plus ketchup and mayo on the side (we didn't end up using those). The tacos were simple but very well done. The fish and shrimp were fried fresh, light and crispy without being greasy. The shrimp was my favorite. The pico de gallo was fresh and flavorful, and the lime and cabbage added a good balance and crunch. I honestly wish I would've ordered their whole fried fish because it looked incredible, but there's no way two people could've finished it in one sitting. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff were extremely attentive. The service felt high-class in the sense that they were very respectful and treated the experience with care, almost like a fine dining environment, while still being approachable.
