The lobster is delicious. You have to try their cocktail de camaron. Good vibes you have to visit !!!

Great food even better service beers are freezing cold and they got buckets of beer! We had the campenchana which has all kinds of different types of fish and is piled high, it was enough to feed about 8 hungry adults. Price was very reasonable and fair.

Very delicious food. Are server suggest the desmadre de mariscos a mix of shrimp, calamar and more. Server Hector was very attentive. We also order Salmon very good as well. We will definitely be back again .

Spacious full service mariscos spot in a low key section of Ensenada. Tostada especial is glorious. Aguachiles are super fresh and the shrimp are like butter. Filete relleno de mariscos wasn't the best ever but it was tasty. My 3 person team went to town and ordered 4 main dishes, 3 Marlin quesadillas (really just melted cheese tacos), around 6 or 7 beers all for a whopping $60 US. This place rocks. Definitely recommended for large parties and groups.

Great venue, live banda, open space seating good for large partys. My ceviche an michelada didnt make it to picture time as I could not hold off that long! Highly recommended when in ensenada beach area. Very clean and attentive service!

I was brought to this restaurant as a birthday gift. I love seafood! This huge place is it! . We came late about closing however.( they still allowed us to enter. The waiter was a very nice man; he took our orders and brought them back sporadically. There were five of us. Four of us were served, however the last person served was approximately 15-20 minutes later. I ordered the "shrimp, scallop and octopus". This had red onions, chiles and cucumbers for $345 pesos. My man ordered the "El Primo Nava Shrimp" stuffed shrimp rolled with bechamel sauce. It comes with salad and rice for $185.00 pesos. We all shared our dishes so, I have the ability to comment on all of the plates. Next our friend ordered the Marlin plate for $23.00 pesos. Then, someone else ordered the shrimp and clam dish ordered from the "Estofados" section at $145.00 pesos. We all shared chips and salsa. I enjoyed all of the food. Most of the restaurant was clean however; someone had to use the bathroom and then came back to eat. After sitting down she claimed she might vomit because the bathroom was so nasty. The chips were just ok as well as the salsa. I felt guilty tasting the Marlin but... OMG IT WAS DELICIOUS! If you have never tasted Marlin but enjoy tuna in a steak form you have got to try this dish! The clam with shrimp was very small but delicious. The shrimp stuffed and wrapped in bacon was just ok for me, not a big deal. My dish of shrimp, scallops and octopus was delicious, but they had so many chile seeds that it was too spicy and drowned out the flavors of the dish. I also think that there were too may red onions. After eating I took a few pictures of the decor. There was a huge whale jaw bone that was really trippy. I would eat here again. The prices are great! However, I would custom order each dish. I would also like to come back when the oyster bar is open. If you are ever in town and enjoy seafood this is a place to come. Make sure to convert your dollars to pesos at an exchange center first. You will dave money! Thre service was amszinh! h you.

This was a good experience and great tostadas de camarón! Amazing!!!!! Tostadas are the BEST! I wish I had the picture but we wolfed it down lol... the camarones al ajo and shrimp cocktail won't disappoint. You have to come and experience this for yourselves. Big location and clean bathrooms. Family friendly as well. El desmadre de mariscos wasn't the best and not my cup of tea. Overrated by a local who recommended the dish. Worth trying!

Great service a loved every bite of my food! I ordered the lobster plate, aguachiles, and a prepared clam! With a michelada on the side. Everything was greatly cooked and super fresh come by if you're in Ensenada!

Love love this place !! Food was amazingly delicious and tasty ... Seafood was fresh.

The BEST Mexican style seafood FOOD !! First time in Ensenada and we will back here again. Food had great flavors, they made it with Love..... We will be back!

Everything was delicious and fresh. I had the lobster burrito and unlike other places that fill their burritos with rice and beans this one was ALL lobster, my husband had the fried fish. The service was very good ever though the place was close to being packed.

I liked that they have colorful flags outdoors, which lent to the open and casual feel of this restaurant while also incorporating the Mexican culture. The waiter spoke English and was able to explain the menu. For drinks, I chose the Berry Sangria. This came in a huge glass! Loved the layering of this drink. I also ordered the Tamarind Margarita, which was darker than anticipated. Definitely had a tamarind forward flavor. I also had the oysters , which was nice and meaty but it wasn't as cold as I would like. I also tried the Ceviche De La Casa which had tuna, clams, octopus and tuna. This came accompanied with a bag of tostadas and four types of sauces. I loved the fact that you can adjust the flavoring of your ceviches with the available salsas including bottled ones that are brought to the table! I've never had this type of ceviche before and I was pleasantly surprised with different types of seafood that tasted fresh and vibrant. Definitely a great place to visit that wasn't overly crowded. I'd definitely visit again!

I was so excited to come here because I was on the hunt for a restaurant that served Aguachile! Options for the Aguachiles included Negro, Rojo, or Verde. I opted for the Aguachile Verde. The entire dish was so refreshingly light and palatable. I was obsessed with the taste of the fresh shrimp, cucumber, and red onion, all soaked in the tasty verde sauce and Tajín. It paired so well with the tostadas. It was also priced reasonably at MX$325, equivalent to about $19. The portion and abundance of the Aguachile were plentiful, as I was full when I finished. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautifully inviting and vibrant. I loved the presentation of the colorful, decorative papel picado flags, which added to the celebration of Mexican culture. The atmosphere was amazingly festive as a whole. The customer service was welcoming and friendly. Overall, La Cevichería Oyster Bar did not disappoint with the incredible Aguachile. I highly recommend coming here for that or any seafood dish that you're craving.

My fellowship, a cluster of mere mortals with taste far keener than foresight, insisted we seek a place foretold in gustatory prophecy: La Cocedora de Langosta. I assented, though the sea had begun to speak again. A cruel trick of salt and memory. We arrived. The lobster was not served--it presented itself. Shell split like prophecy fulfilled, meat steaming with tales older than Atlantis. The ceviche? Lime and fire in perfect alchemy. It hissed in my mouth like the last words of a betrayed siren. A whole fish, fried until its soul ascended, left bones so clean they could be used in ritual. Angels wept; I salted accordingly. The risotto arrived next, not on a plate but in a chalice. Each bite stirred marrow and memory, comfort and command. My sea legs stood straighter. My resolve thickened. Libations flowed--freely, fervently, faultlessly. The chalice refilled itself (or perhaps the staff were trained in illusion and replenishment). Laughter, clinking glass, and something close to joy dared to rise. Staff were keen-eyed adepts, operating with the grace of trained familiars. The atmosphere carried hints of volcanic enchantment and citrus optimism. Barry the Brave Muffin Baker--my misguided nemesis-ally--might have found peace here. Or at least, a decent aioli. Verdict: A rare convergence of flesh, flavor, and fate. Five stars scorched upon the firmament by my hand. I may never return. But that's only because the enchantment forbade it.

The last time my friends attempted to eat here, the restaurant was full and it will take at least a 30 minute wait to get seated. Today, the 21st of November was our lucky day as we were craving the freshest ceviche Ensenada has to offer and experiencce the five star rating Muelle 3 was known for. Our party of 4 chose to sit outside to eat lunch on this cool, cloudy Friday afternoon and be exposed to the sights and sounds of this busy commercial and fishing port. Within minutes of getting settled, our free appetizer - Tortilla Espanola and a plate full of lemon & lime slices with an oyster shell-full of sea salt and chili powder occupied the center of our table. Then came the Ceviche de la casa. A winner in my book of ceviches! Plus a coaster-sized, fresh off the pan tortilla chips gave it a unique serving style. We had to order another bowl of tortillas because eating ceviche without it just won't be the same. The Calamar frito were perefectly breaded, without excess flour and grease in every bite. Another winner! Last but not the least is the Pasta de Mar with the clams of different sizes and pre-cut scallops in the their shell. Muy Delicioso! More hungry patrons started arriving and we still got prompt service. I will make it a point to grab a satisfying seafood dish or two here the next time I visit Ensenada whether by car or by cruise ship.

But figured I needed a better way to eat it while visiting Ensenada again with my wife. So this time, went to the nearby sister restaurant, Sabina. It's named for the owner of the original food stand, and there are a lot of pictures of her with other celebrities who appreciated her talent in creating seafood combinations. The Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant is within walking distance from the cruise port, and is located in an area with a lot of other restaurants and shops. We came there soon after it opened around 10 am, and had the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We showed that we were coming from California, by choosing indoor seating. We were given colorful menus and suggestions. We also got complementary chips and salsa, with 4 different varieties of her famous salsas being served. I tried all four of them, and two of them were way too hot, even in moderation. I did really like the green salsa, which tasted more like a simple guacamole. It also came with thinly slices of lime...each small slice producing so much more juice than any lime we get in California. My wife doesn't like raw seafood, so chose garlic shrimp (Caramones al Mojo de Ajo for Mex$405). There were plenty of jumbo headless, shell-on white shrimp, with the butter sauce being very light and not too garlicky. It came with a very good rice pilaf and sauteed vegetables (mostly squash which neither of us are a fan of). I went with 3 choices from the 5 selection 'Champion' list: 1. Erizo con Almeja (Sea Urchin with Clam for Mex$230) - winner of LA Street Food Fest 2011 for Best Original Showmanship 2. Caracol con Lajas de Caracol (Mixed Ceviche with Sea Snail for Mex$209) - winner of LA Street Food Fest 2012 for Best in Show 3. Singapur (Mex$209) - winner of LA Street Food Fest 2013 for unknown category). All three were piled high with fresh seafood, embellished with perfectly ripe avocado slices. None of them needed additional salsa, but adding a squeeze of lime enhanced. My favorite was the Singapore and would try the other two tostadas on the winners list the next time. The best way would be to order all the tostadas and split amongst a group of 4 or 5 friends (there are 6 other special tostadas and you can also create your own with the fresh seafood ingredients). Got two bottles of water (Mex$75 each...not cheap) and a local beer (Vera Niega Mexican Ale, a bottle being Mex$110) that was excellent. Service was attentive and friendly throughout, with multiple servers (Horacio and Antonio) attending to us, all trying to make sure we had a good time. Credit cards are accepted, using a modern tableside POS, and I was happy to pay a gratuity over what is customary. Bathrooms are modern, with individual stalls (most of them gender neutral) all sharing a nice common set of sinks. My wife and I left in fine spirits and it was beginning to fill up more as we left (all dining al fresco, of course). Dining at the nearby original food cart is worth the initial experience, but there is something to having food this good in a sit-down restaurant. Sabina is that place.

Overall an okay experience…read more Aside from being seated, service was really good. I thought it was strange that it would take 15-20 min for food, especially since most of it was ceviche (is it not already prepared?) Pricing is definitely tourist pricing. We spent $185 for 6 people, about 8 tostadas (which were way bigger than we expected), 3 fish tacos, and 3 drinks. The seafood is definitely fresh and some of the flavors are unique. We ordered about 6 different tostadas and we all ended up liking the fish taco the best. Good for sit down but definitely plan to wait, not ideal for big parties.

Thus we made a point to stop by for food during our second cruise stop in Ensenada, 4 days later. We discovered the large crowds were not in line waiting, but were instead enjoying their ceviche and other cold seafood while standing up. It made for a festive atmosphere, definitely ramping up the enjoyment of really great tasting seafood. The food stall is located facing the main road of Ensenada (walking distance from the cruise port) and is separated into two parts: the front serving seafood tostadas and the back serving cocktails and aquachiles. Each had different lines, with a common guy accepting payment after delivery. They have been doing this for a while (1981?) and things are efficient. I wanted one thing, which was the mixed cocktail with all the seafood available (campechano, a word I've come to love since moving to the LA area). They have 4 sizes from chico ($105) to jumbo ($360). The seafood mix is diced together ahead of time to save on time, and are mostly diced pretty fine. The mix is prepared fresh though, and was ready in about a minute. It was excellent, refreshing and just the right amount for me. I had wanted to try the seafood cocktail again from La Guerrerense (another nearby famous seafood stand), so that was our first stop during our second visit to Ensenada in 5 days. We then visited other sites in the area, saving El Guero for the end before we headed back to the ship. As expected the cocktail from Guerrerense was very good, but this version from El Guero was even better....better selection of seafood, and more finely mixed to give a better representation of the different textures of the freshness. That would make it the best seafood cocktail I've ever enjoyed.
