I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I've been having my nails done here for a couple of years now and have never had a bad experience. YES, sometimes the techs speak to each other in Vietnamese, but I've never had the sense they were talking about me ... and in fact, they will sometimes explain to me what they're talking about (usually family, or teasing each other, etc). My dip nails always look great when I leave and they always do exactly what I want. as re: length, shape, etc. Once had a small chip in one that developed a couple of days later, went back & the repair was $0. The shop is clean and welcoming. I would recommend this place without reservation. read more

I went to Magnolia on Good Friday, because I needed a mani/pedi for a wedding over the weekend and it is conveniently located down the street from my house! While I was impressed with my pedicure, my dip manicure did was not the best. The technician was super knowledgeable about the dip nail, seeing as I had not had that service done before. I'm not 100% sure but, two days later I had a crack down a nail and today they all popped off like acrylics! Is two weeks normal for a dip manicure? Also, I did find it a little unsanitary that he dipped my nail is the actual powder container. Who knows? I probably won't go back. read more

In the process of looking for a nail salon for my daughters and I I came across this business. I was immediately greeted by someone when I walked in which was great,however when I went to sit down the tech that was to take care of my full set seemed like she did not want to be there. As she was sitting to begin serving me she looked at my nails and the looked at another tech and said something in their language and the 2 of them began laughing (never acknowledged me) . I couldn't imagine what was said but this is a known issue with these nail salons. I then decided to leave and spend my money where it was appreciated. I will not be returning. read more

Honestly, this place is clean, staff was attentive. I asked for a basic manicure and both my daughter and I got basic pedicures. Nothing special, except we asked for gel polish. All said and done, and 170.00 later ($5 tip each X 3) I was shocked at the pricing. Coming from the land of high dollar everything, not even in California do we pay that much!! After 3 days the polish peeled off. Usually, it takes a jack hammer to remove gel. Oh well, maybe that's why the place was empty. We won't be returning. read more

I have been here twice and each time they have surprised me. There work is absolutely stunning. There prices are a bit high but for the outcome it's very understandable. They haven't hurt me once and they don't rush once so ever. I will most definitely be going back more often read more

Magnolia Spa and Nails opened roughly a week ago in a newly built building at the corner of Jefferson Hwy and Floynell Dr. The atmosphere is bright, airy, and clean. The chairs and staff are comfortable and friendly. I opted to have my nails refreshed by removing the tips and dip then applying new dip. I selected a great spring / Easter hue #079. My technician had a great demeanor and we conversed for a few moments before we settled into the task at hand. There was no major issues with how she processed my nails however I can say that she seemed to try a new process or wasn't fully confident while working on my nails. She stated that she worked on nails before which nixed that thought. It could possibly be the new location and set up that had her shook. The process was different but the outcome was as professional as I've had experienced at other shops. I am hopeful the process becomes "polished" over time as this little shop has all the makings of a great nail business. read more

The environment is great, nice clean and the have the latest and greatest of everything you want or need from rhinestones, dip, polish and they are a full blown spa. The people are amazing at what they do and very pleasant by making you feel like you're the ONLY customer in the Spa. Everyone is an expert. I'm grateful to discover a full service spa to care for my facial waxing, hand and feet needs. You won't be disappointed and the prices will blow your mind for all that you with the Pedicure. The hand MASSAGES and chair massages are totally amazing. I can't say enough good about MY spa. I'd recommend to everyone. Total LUXURY and pristine. Everything comes out perfect. Dont waste your time or money. On Friday I went in for an eyebrow and lip wax. After waiting in the wax chair for at least 15 mins and dozing off the girl comes in and starts to wax me with out saying a single word. The wax lasted all of about 2 mins TOPS. I proceeded to let her know that she missed spots every where and she wasnt happy about that. Litterally starts jabbing tweezers on other areas on my face then starts clicking the tweezers on the chair impatiently while giving me a death stare. Also mind you she left wax all over my face and yanked out some of the hair from my scalp. Dont make the mistake ladies. I made it for you. 20 wasted dollars. read more

It was my first time at this nail salon and I can tell you that it made me excited, lol. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and immediately asked about the services I would like, placed in the spa chair quickly but it's also a Tuesday and early morning. I chose to get the regular pedicure and chose green tea dox got both scrub and creme after I got a hot rock massage and hot towel. The feeling is amazing and this is how I love my pedicures and this was a REGULAR PEDICURE! I also got a full set acrylic with gel polish. At this nail salon they don't do your nails while you're getting your feet done, which is not a problem because the pedicure makes relaxes you to where you want to fall asleep. I really wanted to get a specific design put it was my first time at this salon so I did a test trial. I love my nails and the color. They have many to choose from, it's a nice relaxing atmosphere. This place is a total ripoff !!! I was in town from Texas visiting for the holidays and needed a nail refresher. Usually I always get it done before traveling but was pushed for time. Place was clean and staff appeared very friendly, no complaints in that area. I decided to get the detox pedicure for $40 and just get my nails polished with shellac, no manicure because I'm always nervous of being cut when my normal nail tech is not performing the work. So the pedicure was pretty good. Nail tech Polishing my nails did not care that I was unsatisfied and uncomfortable with the way he had my hand and arm positioned. He was sitting in the pedicure chair beside me preforming the work. He was stretching and pulling my arm over to the side he was on which was uncomfortable for me. Then when it was time to pay he had the audacity to tell me that he was charging me 20 dollars just to paint my nails !!!! I have never heard of that in all of my years of getting my nails done. All I can say is they got me this time but I will NEVER leave TX. without getting myself taken care of properly. read more

This place is a hidden but not so hidden gem! Every single employee is friendly and very welcoming. Not to mention the entire place is spotless and gives off a relaxing vibe. This has to be THE BEST nail spa I have visited while living here in Baton Rouge. Tina, does awesome work when it comes to eyebrow waxing and I am extremely picky about my brow. But aren't we all ?!
