She checked in to ask how short I liked my nails, shape preferences and ticklish spots. She also checked in to ask if there was sensitivity around the big toe nail so that she was aware if I had any ingrown nails. I really appreciated her insightful questions. She was good to either let me goof around on my phone or later on we chatted a little bit. She respected whatever I was feeling like at the time. I'm so excited to have a spa pedicure salon so close to home! It cost about $5 more than a pedicure at a cheap place but I felt it was absolutely worth it for the superior service and easy communication with my technician. The offer all the typical mail services: acrylic, gel, solar pink/white, SNS dip, waxing services, as well as 2 different tanning beds. They accept all major credit cards and cash. The environment was clean, quiet and personable. Everyone was still wearing a mask as well. There was a tech Sammy that seems to be popular and kept the laughs coming with the regular customers. She repeatedly reassured me that I would be seen right away and even encouraged me to upgrade to the deluxe pedicure for a better experience, while continuing to promise that I would still be done within the hour. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. I sat in the chair for almost 50 minutes without anyone starting my service. I went back to the front desk and explained that I needed to leave within the next 20 minutes, which was already later than I originally planned. Again, I was reassured that someone was coming immediately. At that point, they suggested I downgrade to the classic pedicure so it could be completed within my timeframe. A woman named Wendy finally came over, started setting up the station, then told me she needed to come back. After another 10 minutes passed and I again expressed frustration to the front desk, she finally returned. Even then, instead of beginning the pedicure, she spent time on the phone while the water was running. The actual pedicure itself was rushed and poor quality. My feet were barely scrubbed, and the French tip was done so poorly that another employee had to step in and finish it. What frustrates me most is that I ended up leaving two full hours after I originally arrived, paid $60, and still did not receive a quality service. I have frequented this salon before for pedicures, and this is the first time I have had such a negative experience. The biggest issue was the lack of honesty and communication from the front desk at the beginning. If I had simply been told that the salon was extremely busy and there was no guarantee I could be seen quickly, I would have left, handled what I needed to do, and come back another time. Instead, I was repeatedly reassured just to sit there waiting for two hours. Sadly, after this experience, they will not be receiving my business again.
