I almost always schedule my appointments ahead of time just so I can get serviced a bit quicker than waiting as a walk in. I'm pretty basic girl. I don't get fancy designs just plain color so I don't see anyone specific but Kaitlyn and Ben do pretty good work if I were to see the same nail tech one of them would be my top choices. I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Venice Nail Spa. I arrived at 5:30 PM and informed the young girl at the front desk that I only had an hour and needed a pedicure. She repeatedly reassured me that I would be seen right away and even encouraged me to upgrade to the deluxe pedicure for a better experience, while continuing to promise that I would still be done within the hour. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. I sat in the chair for almost 50 minutes without anyone starting my service. I went back to the front desk and explained that I needed to leave within the next 20 minutes, which was already later than I originally planned. Again, I was reassured that someone was coming immediately. At that point, they suggested I downgrade to the classic pedicure so it could be completed within my timeframe. A woman named Wendy finally came over, started setting up the station, then told me she needed to come back. After another 10 minutes passed and I again expressed frustration to the front desk, she finally returned. Even then, instead of beginning the pedicure, she spent time on the phone while the water was running. The actual pedicure itself was rushed and poor quality. My feet were barely scrubbed, and the French tip was done so poorly that another employee had to step in and finish it. What frustrates me most is that I ended up leaving two full hours after I originally arrived, paid $60, and still did not receive a quality service. I have frequented this salon before for pedicures, and this is the first time I have had such a negative experience. The biggest issue was the lack of honesty and communication from the front desk at the beginning. If I had simply been told that the salon was extremely busy and there was no guarantee I could be seen quickly, I would have left, handled what I needed to do, and come back another time. Instead, I was repeatedly reassured just to sit there waiting for two hours. Sadly, after this experience, they will not be receiving my business again. read more

Could be so much better. Beautiful place, not usually a long wait. The massage chairs are on their last legs. Started in one chair, the controller has exposed wires with black electrical tape hanging off it. The functions don't work, just a slow roll. The lady next to me sated hers was doing the same. The technician did take me to another chair, but unfortunately the same result. Controller broken and the kneading function not working. Just a slow roll. It seems minor, but the massage is part of the experience and me getting to relax for a little bit. With the $85 pedicures, that money should be reinvested into their chairs. read more

I have been a loyal customer of this salon for a while. I've referred my family, coworkers, and several other people because I've always trusted the quality of their work. Unfortunately, today's experience completely changed my opinion. I went in for a manicure, pedicure, lip wax, and eyebrow wax. Before the wax even started, I clearly told the technician that I have spent years growing my eyebrows out and that I wanted to keep them thick. I specifically asked her to only clean them up. Instead, she waxed off way more than I asked for. My eyebrows are now extremely thin and look nothing like what I requested. Years of growing them out were ruined in just a few minutes because my instructions were ignored. I spoke with the receptionist, expecting someone to acknowledge what happened and make it right. The only thing I was told was, "We're sorry, and we won't charge you for the eyebrows." That was the extent of their response. There was no real effort to address how upsetting this was, despite the fact that I was still paying for my other services after leaving with eyebrows I never asked for. As someone who has been a loyal customer and has sent this salon so many referrals over time I expected much better customer service. Loyalty should matter, and customers deserve to be listened to--especially when they clearly explain what they want. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I hope this encourages the salon to take customer concerns more seriously. If you're very particular about your eyebrows, make sure your technician truly understands what you want before allowing them to wax. read more

Why did I have 3 different people do my regular polish, deluxe pedicure? The third was a younger guy who you could tell was clearly not comfortable giving a pedicure and I now have some toes that halfway have polish not to the edge or all the way back so it looks like my nails have grown out when I just had them done and some toes that have clear coat shoved in my cuticles. I complained to him and the second woman that assisted with my pedicure when she came back to clean up the plastic liner. There were no tools used when polish was being applied to actually clean the edges of the skin so I can now feel my toes bonded to the skin from clear coat. No action was taken by him or the second woman and he just defended how he was painting my toes when really my little brother could have done better and that's what this experience felt like. I imagine he is family because he did not get this job based off skills. Very disappointing to pay $50 for a pedicure that I will have to remove and repaint myself when I get home. read more

I moved to Harrisburg just as things were closing so my first time here was in the midst of COVID. What I really liked is that the space is large enough to social distance. There were three people ahead of me checking in and we were all able to comfortably wait while social distancing. They are not seating customers next to each other at the nail stations. Every nail station has plexi glass shields up. Staff and customers wear masks. There's enough seating for pedicures to enforce social distancing as well. The spa is clean with calming colors and comfortable chairs for waiting as well as being serviced. There is a container separating sanitized pens versus I sanitizer pens at the receptionist desk, unfortunately there's no monitoring of people placing used pens in the correct bin so I would recommend bringing your own pen. Contactless payments are used. The tech working with my daughter was super kind and professional. He made sure her nails were mama approved throughout the process. It was difficult to get an appointment though. The shop didn't open at the posted hours and we called from outside for 30 minutes before someone answered. I've religiously gone here for years. I use to have the most amazing tech, Emma- but for reasons unknown it seems they've had a workstaff turnover and Emma's (and others) gone with no explanation to her regular customers. Since the location is super convenient, I've tried different techs for the last 6 months. Prices have gone steadily up while quality has steadily declined. The salon space itself is very nice. Clean, nicely decorated and the staff offers complimentary beverages (water, soda, wine). Services: SNS (powder dip) 'refill' & pedicure runs me $110 - before tip- so not what I'd consider a drop in the bucket. The finished product turned out decent but Takes about 2.5 HOURS, there seems to be no more cuticle trimming with nail services. They also consistently leave the old SNS that's soaked off, caked on your fingertips and even though I asked for slimmed down, pointy tips always seem to get these old lady rounded shapes. It's also worth to note that there is absolutely no one there who can do true nail art anymore. Overall, I'd say completely overpriced and sadly I'm gonna have to look for a new nail spot. read more

Updating my review to add that I came here during Covid and was SO impressed! They have clean and used pens separated. There is a questionnaire about Covid you have to fill out. You have to wash your hands and get your temp taken before you sit down or touch anything. Everyone was wearing masks and gloves. You could really tell they are taking extra precautions to keep everyone safe! I felt so safe and comfortable. Thank you!! I love this place! The decor is so pretty and inviting.
