TERRIBLE SERVICE - Overcharged and Injured I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. During my manicure, the nail technician cut three of my fingers, and they were bleeding. That alone is unacceptable, but it got worse when I went to pay. I was charged $129 for natural nails and a gel pedicure with NO design. They claimed it was discounted 10% due to the bad service, meaning the original total was $143, which makes no sense for basic services. After leaving, I reviewed the receipt and realized they charged me for a service I didn't even get. When I called, the employee admitted he charged me for the wrong service, but instead of refunding me, the manager tried to offer a discount for my next appointment. Why would I come back after being injured and overcharged? I told them I don't want a discount, I want my money back. Between being cut, overcharged, and then offered a future discount instead of fixing the mistake, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had. I will not be returning.

My first time here and they truly impressed me. I went in requesting a champagne color for cat eye nails. Although they couldn't find the exact color Kevin helped me pick what turns out to be better than the shade I originally wanted! I also got the Midtown Pedicure-10/10 if you're looking for a simple upgrade from the basic pedi. Turned out amazing!

I've come here a few times before and have had good experiences, however I had an appointment for tonight at this location. Upon entering I was asked if it was booked at the midtown location (it wasn't). Said they could take me anyways even though I confirmed the appointment was at this location via Vagaro. Service was more rushed than usual, they close at 6 and clearly wanted everyone out before then. My dip nails were wrapped up at 5:50pm and my pedicure was still drying (I checked). At 5:53pm a nail tech, different from my own, came up and started grabbing my shoes to put them on me and I explained that my nails were still wet and to please stop. She stopped, and persisted to put the flimsy rubber shoes on me anyways (without my permission or asking to) and motioned for me to get up which ruined my big toe polish (pictures) My nails were still wet too!! So I could barely grab my things. Simultaneously, the owner continued to rush everyone out. I yet again explained my nails were still wet. This is all not to mention I am 39.5 weeks pregnant (and very visibly so) and do not feel comfortable rushing out of anywhere- especially not without my sandals on and was clearly struggling to carry my shoes, water bottle and purse. However, it wasn't worth it to argue with someone who very clearly did not care about the well being or customer experience for anyone there, so after tipping my nail tech (who was not at fault here), I walked out and let my nails dry by rhino market at one of their tables. Not to mention while this account is of my experience, they were acting this way towards everyone. Inexcusable service for all customers. Don't take appointments or walks ins if you want to close your doors before you actually close. And you should always allow time for nails to dry. Will never ever return here.

This is my first visit to Mimosa Nail Bar. I see why this place has such good reviews. It is clean and welcoming. I was seen right away. I was offered a mimosa and of course that was a YES!!. This salon is very clean, including the bathroom. There are many bowls to do pedicures and stations to do nails. It's ideally located near NoDa. I will definitely return.

First I would like to start with the customer service! When I entered I was instantly greeted asking what service I wanted and I was sat right away on a Friday. Now this place doesn't do acrylic which I'm used to so I wanted something similar like SNS but instead the young lady gave me gel X, nothing against her because she was so nice but that's not what I wanted. The manager Vee could tell I wasn't pleased and instantly came over with solutions. She had someone who specializes in acrylic/sns come over and fix my nails and also continued to check on me throughout my remaining service because of that I will return. Other nail salons would not have cared and you would pay for something you don't like! Ty ended up doing my nails and he did great. They also serve complimentary wine, mimosas and other soft drinks.

I always review a place when I am from out of town and get something so valuable and important to me as my nails. This place came with great reviews. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The floors are concrete with the middle of the salon having many pedicure chairs. My chair was ripped, torn, and slightly broken. The nail tech had to operate my chair as it was not functioning properly for me. The place did not seem clean. The floors were dirty, the pedicure bowls were lined with plastic, but when they finished with it, someone came by sprayed it once, took one towel to wipe out the bowl and moved on to the next. That is not the way to clean a bowl. The chairs were never wiped down. The bathrooms were used as an overstock area and had all kinds of product in there. I was offered a drink. Since this was my first, and last time there, I asked if there was a charge. She said no. I asked for the sparkling water. She brought me a can of sparkling water and it was warm. I went with a friend. She got the basic $38 pedicure and I went with the step up. I only did so because the bald male nail tech who was doing my friends pedicure told me I had calluses. So I thought oh I'll get those taken off. I did not get my calluses taken off. I did get a paraffin wax on my feet for six minutes, but that is it. It is not worth the extra money to go with the more expensive pedicure. The massage was weak. I saw another lady getting a pedicure and the nail tech who was a male was beating with cupping technique the bottom of her feet. That is the way a massage should be done. I was extremely disappointed. The nail tech nicked my wet polish and just painted over it. She should have redone the toe. I probably should have insisted but was irritated by this time. My friend had a pedicure that lasted all of 25 minutes. What a joke. My pedicure was 50 minutes long. But most of that time was spent soaking my feet. The same nail did my pedicure.also did my dip. After having my nails done, I was extremely disappointed. They were not filed to the square style that I like. They were also rough underneath and should have been filed more. neither me nor my friend had our cuticles taken care of. I always get those cut with my dip. My friend had a horrible experience. She dipped her nails and asked for coffin shape. Hers are long and square. They look ridiculous. The nail tech kept cutting her with the drill. He then wanted to charge her five dollars more for the length. She said these are my natural nail. You should not charge me extra. He did take that charge of five dollars off but she did pay five dollars more for a coffin shape that she did not get. I spent $102 on my pedicure and dip. I charged it. They do not give you the option to tip on your card. So I gave her a $20 bill. She took it and walked away never offering me change. I figured at this point I would just leave. My friend Venmo her tip to her. Please think before you go here. I don't know who the nail techs are that are giving the great service but I know that if you go, you do not want to go to Ann or the bald man.

Vy the Manager is fantastic! I hosted a company Galentines outing here at it was amazing! I made a reservation in advance, it was a weekday so it was easier to reserve a section for us all to sit together. We had wine and other refreshments and got to be pampered. All of the nail artists are great! Q is great at design and customer service.

Decided to go in and get my toes done since the warm weather is upon us. Cute shop in the NoDa area. From the outside, it didn't grab my attention. It's attached to several other businesses in a busy area and can easily be missed if not actively looking for it. Inside was very nice. There are greeters at the counter to get your selection, get polish, and walk you to your chair. They offer beverages, but if you want wine or mimosas you have to bring your own glass. Bummer, I was really looking forward to some wine. Settled for a bottle of water. The place is large and spacious. They have 26 massaging pedicure chairs. These were some of the best massaging chairs I've ever experienced. I felt like I got a deep tissue massage. The young lady doing my pedicure was nice, but quiet. Answered questions as I needed. I was allowed to stay in the chair to enjoy another rotation of the massage chair 30 min) while my toes dried. There prices are extremely reasonable. Basic Pedi for $35. If I wanted a mani it would have only been $20. Good to know if you're ever visiting Charlotte.

I honestly am shocked at myself for writing this review because it isn't common for me. However, the amount of disrespect I received from the manager Vee has caused me to deviate from my norm. Quick background I've worked in retail as well as a server/bartender to put myself through college. I am the person who tips a minimum of 20% and more for great service. The nail tech Lillie, whom I have been seeing on a consistent basis, can attest to this. My most recent visit to this establishment today 1/09/2025 will be my last. I come to this establishment to always get a manicure with a buff shine. I prefer buff shine over nail polish or gel manicures because I like the natural shine that lasts versus polish that chips or grows out. I enjoy buff shine so much that I've purchased my own materials from Amazon to do it myself whenever an establishment is out of the necessary materials which was the case today. I've been a frequent customer here to the point that the manager Vee knows me by name. She also knows my preferred nail tech Lillie. However, when I walked in today I was greeted by Vee and decided to switch it up by getting a pedicure, which is rare for me. During the service, Lillie asked if I wanted my usual buff shine, and I replied yes; only to find out at the very end of my service that they were out of the materials to perform a buff shine. I was completely appalled that they allowed me to go through both services without notifying me beforehand. This was very disheartening, but I assumed it might have been an oversight. The manager Vee had left for the day but Adam, the employee cashing me out, offered to text her and let her know what was going on. Vee then called Adam's phone, and what happened next was where I felt completely disrespected. To sum up the approximately 15-minute call: * Vee addressed me by name, demonstrating how familiar she is with me. * She acknowledged that she knew I always get a buff shine after my manicure. * She admitted she was aware her supply truck hadn't arrived today, prior to my services. * She offered a 10% discount on a $65 service, despite the fact that all I received were my nails and cuticles cut. * When I told her this wasn't acceptable, she accused me of "trying to negotiate price," even though I never mentioned specific numbers. * Finally, she made the remark: "If you couldn't pay for the services, just say that." This is where I draw the line. I will not tolerate disrespect from anyone. After her comment, I firmly let her know that the services would be paid in full, including a tip, and she no longer needed to worry about me as a customer. Luckily, another employee stepped in after seeing me standing at the payment center for an extended period of time. For full transparency, I did not cause a scene, did not raise my voice, and tried my best to handle things diplomatically. However, after Vee's disrespectful remark I ended the conversation once I confirmed the bill would be squared. Lou, the employee who stepped in, found a buff shine utensil and even offered to apply a base coat to my nails as that's her personal preference over a buff shine. She also helped me resolve an issue where I accidentally sent Lillie the full amount for the service plus the tip via cash app. Lou documented proof of this via photo and allowed me to take a photo to ensure there was evidence that my tab was paid in full. So that the photo makes sense, MLH is Lou whom I tipped just for going out her way and Tinh is Lillie, whom I paid for the entire service (by accident) + tip. I would never tell anyone what to do or where to go because that's none of my business. This is my honest account of what happened, and I'm sharing it for full transparency. No one should ever have to experience this level of disrespect.

The GEL lifted not even 30 mins after appointment !

Easily the worst manicure job I've received. Polish wasn't smooth, didn't cover the whole nail bed, could see the old gel line from previous manicure, etc. Was offered a 6$ discount. Very underwhelming service. 10/10 wouldn't recommend.

I've been going to Mimosas for about six months now & seriously can't say enough positives about them! What started as a situationship sparked by my usual nail tech going on maternity leave--oh the struggle!!!--has turned into a serious, monogamous, long-term relationship. #IDo Great NoDa location where you can grab a beer right next door from Free Range or a snack/meal from Rhino before or after your service. Beautiful surroundings with all the women's empowerment & enjoy the lighter side of life-related quotes that one could want. Hands down one of the prettiest bathrooms--yes, I said bathrooms lol--that I've seen in a public place. And a Midtown Pedicure (all the regular stuff plus mask, wax, & scrub) that is well-priced at $47 + tip & makes my soul smile every two weeks. All this plus a complimentary water (flat or sparkling--gotta love options), soda, beer, or...wait for it...MIMOSA (or just bubbles if you're anything like me)?!!!!! Yes, sign me up many times over! Pro Tip: In alignment with all efforts to remain as COVID/flu/RSV/GERM-free as possible, please remember to bring a travel cup for your mimosa. If you forget, you can always grab one from Rhino or Free Range. But, there's nothing like self-preparation! Cheers & enjoy!
