DON'T GO TO THIS SHOP FOR EYEBROW WAX UNLESS YOU WANT THEM MESSED UP and RUDE SERVICE So I go into the nail shop this evening to get my nails and eyebrows done. We decide on eyebrows first. The lady tech put 2 strips between my eyes and guess what she took too much off on my inner left eyebrow. She should have did one at a time so she can properly place the other which is fine any other time, from my perspective. Being a nice person, I said ma'am you went in too much on my left eyebrow and not I'm going to have to fill my eyebrow in until it grow back. This lady goes into the trash to TRY to show me I didn't have any eyebrows. I said "ma'am here is picture of me Monday with eyebrows. I'm not sure what you got but I have proof (I showed her date and made her aware my hair is the same). Remind you I'm still calm because at this point there is nothing I or she can do because the hair is gone. So her RUDE self says "don't pay for eyebrows and I'm not doing your nails". I said "I'm sorry did you say you're not doing my nails. She said yes because I said she messed my eyebrows up. But ma'am you did!!!! So I politely said "ok and walked out". I have been going to this shop for almost 2 years. So I left but my heart wouldn't let me let it go. I created the BEFORE and AFTER that you see in my review pics, then went back to show her the different side by side. She was like "you didn't like my eyebrows so I don't do your nails". I said "be that you can deny any services, the way you went about it was very rude and unacceptable when you messed MY eyebrows up". I came in for a walk in pedicure. There was a 15 min wait. No problem. 3 people working, 3 clients being served. They saw me in 10 mins and I selected from a menu for my pedi. I really wanted to enjoy a relaxing pedicure, but the man that gave me the pedicure was attempting to remove a hang nail (I guess he was, I didn't even think I had one) when it started to hurt, I told him. He stopped for a minute but went right back to it. I had to tell him multiple times that he was hurting me throughout the first 10 minutes. I left before the pedicure finished. It made me bleed! Unfortunately I can not give over 2 stars for this establishment. While my pedicure was up to par, for $25 I didn't receive the complimentary massage. The woman seemed a bit rushed, but she was great at cutting ingrown toe nails. As for my dipped powder... wow- the man who originally attempted to do my powder began with the metal machine and completely dug into my nails. I was so upset, this made my nail beds have serious grooves and will take forever to grow out from the damage he caused. On top of that he tried to go back over and do it AGAIN when I said my cuticles need to be cut. He switched me out and a different lady finished the powder. She was alright but nothing can take back my ruined nail beds! I am outraged and will never be going back. The worst manicure I have ever gotten. I went in for an SNS manicure and the girl refused to soak my nails in acetone. Instead, she took an acrylic nail and used it to pry off the SNS. This was incredibly painful and resulted in her breaking several of my natural nails. After breaking my nails, she agreed to use acetone, which burned terribly on the fingers where she had broken my nails. The quality is poor. Tips were not put on straight. She painted over the cuticle. Just awful. read more

I just had my nails done here and they are not good! So upset that I paid so much for an extremely RUSHED job... Skin not cleaned up where the over filing that was done left edges rough and skin loose. SO UNNECCESSARY to file and hurt me as much as he did (my nails didn't need it!) I had to clean up what he left hanging under my nails from all the drilling and filing!!! Final product: The acrylic starts so far away from my cuticles that it looks as though I had them done over 2 weeks ago and need a fill-in. Badly! HUGE Bubbles ALL OVER my nails! HAIR and DIRT!!! SMH : / Zoom in! You will also see in the picture with the solo nail that the polish is 5 millimeters shy of the edge of the acrylic (took so you could see up close how bad my nails are). I was very dissatisfied with my experience at VH Nails. I went for a soak off and acrylic overlay and pedicure. The nail tech suggested that I wait for the holidays to get my nails soaked off even though that was the service I requested. The nail tech did NOT put a base coat on my nails before applying gel polish. I must admit that I was multi-tasking and did not think of it until after l got home. I went back the following day because my thumbs were peeling. I informed the nail tech that assisted me that the previous nail tech did NOT apply a base coat to my other nails. She seemed surprised but did not offer to redo nails. She fixed my thumbs and told me she was sorry. I had no issue with the gentleman that did my pedicure. Pieces of my previous nail color flew into my fresh polish and instead of redoing the nail as I asked she filed it down and tried to paint over the red piece. The tech also left spots on my nail where the clear polish is uneven. When mentioning this to her she did nothing. I decided to try this location as it's closest to my home. On my 1st visit a mother asked to have her daughter receive a pedicure after her manicure. The employee (female) told her no she would only do a polish change on her . The mother stated that she did not care about the coast or any other factors but that this was the little girls fiat experience and she wanted to have a spa pedicure the employee continued to tell her no. The child and mother both begin to cry and the mother decided to stop her services pay and leave (this was exactly 3 weeks from today). After the mother and child left one of the men employees said to the female employee be quiet and work in front of the remaining customers. This entire situation was troubling to say the least. Today I enter VH nails at 5:45pm, and asked what service I would like and I stated pedicure, the employee (man) said you will have to come back tomorrow? Not a hello , how may I help you or any customer service basic skills. They don't close u til 7pm. What a joke this location is. I don't normally have manicures, but Anh did such a thorough and meticulous job on my pedicure i decided to give a manicure a try. She did an excellent job, and paid close attention to every little detail. She was also very friendly and gentle. I did t feel rushed even though I was in there just prior to closing time. I have now visited this salon at least 5 times. It is right next to my neighborhood, so I really wanted to frequent it! I have now had two bad (and painful!!!) experiences. On the first instance, my cuticles were shredded during my manicure. I did not realize when I was there, but a day later my cuticles started to be sore, and the next day a few of them were bleeding. It was very painful. My next bad visit was about 3 months after this experience, and was last week. I got both a pedi and mani. My pedicure was good until she went to correct my toe painting with the brush and I must've been cut while trimming my toes because it was the most intense burning feeling ever! She cut way too deep. My hands were done terribly- I had to have to fix one nail before I even left- and the nail polish was on really thick. The next day it was already peeling- and once again my cuticles are sore and shredded. I won't be going here again. With two experiences with hurting cuticles, it has to be a combination of technique and equipment. I don't understand how this could happen twice, with two different nail techs. I know the place isn't expensive, but I should not be in pain from visiting. read more

I love the attention to detail and our personal relationships so I knew I would have to give up something to get what I needed. Although my previous experience was a good one, today was not. I came in and signed in as normal. I was not greeted or asked about my service. Since it was crowded, I expected to wait . About ten minutes later a young white couple came in and the owner immediately jumped up to greet them and told them it was a 15 min wait. He still had not acknowledged me. They left and said they would be back. By the time they returned, the pedicure chairs had opened up and all 3 of us were assigned seats. The attendant said to me, I know you were first so i will do your service first. The owner tells the attendant that the couple signed in earlier and just got back so they should be first? What? I told them I signed in before they did and got there way before they did.- check the sign in sheet. The couple clearly knew that I was there before hand and said NOTHING, and the owner looked to them for validation rather than checking the sign in sheet. By this time, I am ticked. The attendant quickly completed my service, I am still furious. The owner is a racist , has poor customer service and I will never return nor recommend them. read more

If your favorite part of a pedicure is the massage this is the place for you. $25 for a pedicure and the massage lasted forever it was awesome. This is the BEST nail salon HANDS DOWN!! If there were 10 stars to give it, I would. Armando, his wife and staff are very personable, knowledgable and professional. The place is spotless and they clean the equipment and the pedicure tubs while you watch. The massage chairs are amazing and clean. Make sure to make an appointment during the week though, because it can get crazy busy at times with long waits, which people are willing to do, by the way, and I'm no exception on Saturdays which is when they do walk ins only. I go twice a week for gel manicures and once every 3 weeks for my pedicures. I was there yesterday (Friday), and I'm taking my sis in law there tomorrow for a mani and pedi. I have had nothing but awesome experiences from the first day I stepped into the place. I had just relocated from VA and needed to get my nails and feet done. The rest is history. I HIGHLY recommend this nail salon. The prices are right, the place is spotless and the staff is very pleasant. I have been going to this salon for years. I went the other day for the first time since the new owners and was pleasantly surprised by the layout and atmosphere. I was also SHOCKED by the prices.. $15 for a manicure? That seemed too good to be true, and sure enough, it was. My manicure didn't even last a day! She rushed the entire thing and filed my nails horribly. I had to go home and refile them myself. They started chipping that same night and then the next day, the whole nail just peeled off. The quality of work is unmatched in Charlotte. I usually get a pedicure and gel french manicure. My nails last over two weeks and normally grow out before beginning to chip. They did Great job on my nails but the customer service at the end was horrible there was a problem with their credit card machine and it would not read any of my cards as it turns out it ended up charging my account, I showed them on my phone and she insisted that it never went through, when she had the proof right in front of her that it did.... they wanted me to get cash and leave my phone with them as collateral, ridiculous! as it turns out I called the bank and they explained that it did go through as all this was happening another lady was checking out and her card wouldn't go through either . This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to! I wanted to like this salon because it was so close to my house but their lackluster service and staff has left we disappointed. Their polish selection is limited (very little perfect match gel to regular polish) and looks old. My initial visit was about 2 months ago. I came in for a acrylic fill in with gel polish and a pedicure. My pedicure was rushed and the work mediocre at best. My fingernails were not shaped as requested (coffin from stiletto), were bulky, and looked sloppy! I decided I'd give them a 2nd try today and went in for a mani/pedi. My pedicure was again rushed, despite being done by another technician. When the pedi was done, I had to ask her to smooth the heels of my feet because they were still rough. The tech cut into the sides of my toenail causing bleeding and pain. She was going to continue to cut into my nails until I told her she was hurting me. I have never had issues with ingrown toenails. It's only been a few hours since this pedicure and the skin beside my toenail is swollen, hot, and red. I fear it may be infected. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! read more
