I wanted to do something simple bc I paid $50 for a fill in at another shop that didn't work out. Saw the website said that their fill-in's start at $33...cool. I asked for a basic fill in and was even willing to forego colored acrylic that I already have on my nail bc I wanted to see their work first. Well he switched it up and said fill-ins start at $45 for gel. I don't have gel on my nails for starters. The icing on the cake was the upcharge for my nails being "grown out too much" and lifting. I've never heard of an upcharge for lifting. They want any excuse to charge extra. The pic attached is a pic of my nails when I went in. There was no reason for two up charges. Just say the minimum you want is $50 so I don't waste my time. I ended up leaving.

They didn't remove the tools from packaging and they placed them back dirty. I'm not sure if that is just a certain nail salon thing but it gives me reassurance that they are using clean nail clippers, sanders, etc. I will definitely be back. They have SO many colors.

Jenny took care of me. She was really nice, although she didn't understand me that much- which is fine. When i initially sat down she was on FaceTime and she moved her phone like 6 times (into different positions around the table) so whoever she was talking too could see her i guess? At first i thought she was trying to record content which is ok with me but then she was showing the screen to her coworkers, im assuming so they can say hi. I couldn't understand the language. So while she was cutting and drilling my nails, she was watching her phone and ended up breaking the edge of my thumb nail after she cut them down. She didn't apologize or say anything she just put nail glue over it and continued. At this point I'm irritated because i see she's not removing my dead skin/cuticles and i tried communicating that but there was lack of understanding. I could've been more aggressive and gotten other people involved but i didn't. At this point i wanted to just finish up and leave. When she started painting i immediately regretted walking in. The paint job was pad. Lumpy, not on the edges of my nail. The simple nail art she agreed to know how to do, she did not. She had to wipe and redo several times. I stayed quiet and let her finish so i could just lay and leave. Overall the nails were $55 and i life $5 tip. I will never return here. I don't want Jenny to get in trouble, but if someone had reviewed this place, it would've helped me choose to not go. So I'm hoping to help someone else out. Avoid spending your time and money here. My primary concern at these establishments are the cleanliness and sterilization of equipment. I assure you that they are clean and go as far as using a medical grade sterilization system and machine. I've never had fungus or an infection and don't plan to. If you live in the area you know that anything and everything is hard to find but this place is a diamond in the area. They did an excellent job. They were friendly and the work was neat and I only waited about 10 mins. They're polish selection is A1 and they don't have old settled polishes like their competition next to HARRIS TEETER. The only thing that kept me from rating 5 stars is that they don't offer a middle of the road pedicure option it's either 25$ for a basic (which is what I got) and 40$ for a deluxe which includes vegan, organic, therapeutic, spa additive.
