Overpriced and underwhelmed
Misty W.

We ordered fried green tomatoes (terrible, sent back), lemon pepper wings (best item), crab and brie soup (okay), crab cake (burnt), ribeye and loaded baked potato (both average). The food and the service were lacking. You can hear the conversations coming from the kitchen about a waitress in the bathroom. They then proceeded to yell about someone having the table with 2 wheelchairs, extremely disrespectful. I never received my drink, no knife for the steak. We asked if the ribeye was served with any sides and was told no so we ordered a side. It arrived plated with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Tried to get bread or crackers for the soup, never received. Someone's steak came out and was paraded to every table asking if it was theirs. Our appetizers made their way around the restaurant before making it to our table. It was an overall bad experience, do not recommend!

Delta Fried Catfish w pecans

This is a good restaurant for the price. I had the fried oysters which were tasty. Husband had a salad as an app as seafood does not agree with him so he took one for the team for me coming here. Enough choices for him which was important when choosing this place. Service was good as the waitress and staff were friendly. Always checking we had drinks and enjoyed our choices. A little choppy on the layout but gave options for large parties so that was good. I had the Delta Fried catfish which was seasoned well. The pecan butter was there as well as the pecans but not much flavor with that so barely noticed. Came with thin cut potatoes. We also ordered the creamed spinach which was a little thin but still good with a crunchy topping. Husband had the ribeye which was cooked to his liking. You also get biscuits which were warm. Cheesecake was a great end to the meal. Creamy with a thick graham cracker crust, one of the best I've tasted.

Inside Harrah's hotel and casino, in Biloxi Mississippi is this five star restaurant. With very "special occasion" decor, the ambience is only outdone by the service, food and Southern hospitality. The menu has changed a little from last time... No more salmon. But, plenty of delicious choices, for those with a spicy palate or those more mellow. My husband chose the catfish, loved the flavor and texture. I chose the Blackened red snapper lake Pontchartrain. That is a creamy sauce with lump crab and shrimp. It was accompanied by green beans but I could substitute any side I wished. You have got to know I went for the baked sweet potato with molasses butter. So good! We could not leave without dessert. As luck would have it we chose the cream Brulé with beignets. The Brulé came flaming, to the table... This dish was absolutely luscious, like nothing I've ever seen. The restaurant is divided into rooms... We safely sat distanced from others.

Our server Alan did a Great Job! We started with the wedge salad with the Maytag Bleu Cheese Dressing honestly one of the best wedge salads we have had. For our entrees we had the Pan seared chicken over fettuccine mushroom and a 14 oz. New York Strip medium rare and a side dish of garlic smashed potato's. The steak was cooked perfectly and tasted good. The garlic smashed were good. The chicken over cooked very difficult to cut and the fettuccine was very bland. Ambiance was neutral. Basically after the meal we looked at each other and said the only thing that stood out was the wedge salad. The entrees were basically steak ok and chicken disappointing. More flavor needed. We would not frequent again because no wow factor. I guess you would have try the restaurant yourself to better understand.

Great service this evening from a staff that was all wearing their masks. Good food and good drinks, we had a pleasant meal. Arriving at 630pm, it was nice to be reminded that the happy hour runs until 700. Because a $2 Tito's Cosmo is such a fantastic deal that I had a second one. There's a decent bar menu but it's changed recently and some of the really super deals are no longer available. I had a steak quesadilla that was still pretty good (maybe influenced by the Cosmo?) and served properly with salsa and sour cream. Nicely stuffed and grilled, a full portion. If you're in Harrah's and looking for something good, this is a good choice. [Review 14116 overall, 1438 of 2020, number 24 in Mississippi.]

Ribeye Steak... Loaded baked potato

I am a die hard Ruth Chris lover! Plus I rate places for Yelp constantly. For starters; I didn't like that I was seated isolated from the rest of the folks because it was call and as an African American down South; I felt seated in an isolated bit cold spot! Maybe this was why the bread was not hot nor warm. I had to request fresh bread! My food came; it was warm but not hot! I had to send the steak back twice to get it cooked to my perfection. Anyhow; I probably wouldn't come back! The price isn't worth it. Thanks anyhow! My server was very good tho...

Came here tonight for dinner with my parents. Our server Latoya was truly a joy. She was so sweet and catered to our every need. She made her recommendations and came around very often to check on us and refill our water cups. The ambiance is romantic and warm. Appetizers/salads tried: -house salad - comes with a honey balsamic dressing, cucumbers and tomato, I really liked the dressing, it was a little sweet and fruity -wedge salad- comes with olives, croutons, tomatoes and an egg dressing- OMG I loved the dressing that came with this!! You definitely would either love it or hate it, it kind of reminded me of deviled eggs -fried crab claws- these were decent, very meaty and tasted fresh -crab & Brie soup- hands down the best app- plenty of crab in there. Tasted like lobster bisque but with crab to me. It was really stellar. Entrees: Ravioli- I was hesitant to order this but decided to anyways. It was filled with goat cheese and served with zucchini and mushrooms. I didn't see or taste any mushrooms sadly. This dish for me was overall okay. The tomato sauce tasted pretty basic and seemed to get lost with the overwhelming almost of goat cheese. It didn't blow me away but I didn't hate it. It definitely didn't meet the $30 price point. Gulf snapper - 10/10 dish. The ponchatrain sauce was divine! It's creamy and buttery. The snapper was cooked perfectly and topped With crawfish. It tasted fresh and light. It also came with green beans. I didn't try the green beans so I can't attest to those.

Located inside Harrah's Gulf Coast, Magnolia House is a steakhouse that adds a southern flare to your typical steakhouse menu.. I've been here several times to dine and this review is long overdue! First off - the atmosphere is very relaxed and chill, I feel like if I wanted to show up in a dress or jeans I'll belong either way... enough about dinner outfits. I've dined here recently with the hubby with an overall experience of 4 stars. Server was great and the atmosphere was great - Appetizer must haves: - Fried green tomatoes (yes, you HAVE to) - Crab cakes - Spinach and fried oyster salad (my FAVORITE) Entrees: - Filet 12 oz (if you order this dish make sure to ask for the Oscar option this will have crab on top of your steak and is laid in a bed of the most amazing mashed potatoes you've ever tasted, I still think about it lol) one thing I did do on mine was put the hollandaise sauce on the side , I don't like "sauce" on my steak - Bone in ribeye try if you dare and most likely you'll have leftovers to bring home, rib eye lost though no left overs here Desert: - Buttercake must try! Yes please - Cream brûlée was such a fun presentation when we placed on the table I'd definitely come here again. Prior to this visit we celebrated with a group of 7 for birthdays and I really loved how they put us in the wine cellar area that was very lovely! The reason why I didn't give the full 5 was due to my steak having to be sent back i requested a medium but received a med well, when I brought this up it was taken care of ASAP and I had my new steak in less than 10 minutes with more crab! Thanks MH we'll be back!

Pan Seared Sea Scallops

7:30 pm, only one other table (4 people) seated. That should've been my first clue. My server was just amazing. Food presentation, awesome!! Quality of the food....... HORRIBLE! I like my scallops white all the way through. I don't like them "translucent ". So I ordered them well done. Totally raw in the middle!!! Sent it back. Took another 25 minutes!!! And they came out undercooked, again! $48.00 for 5 scallops? I want them the way I requested.

Red snapper buried in sauce ( and for the money we taste not sauces

If you're staying at Harrah's you'll probably end up trying to eat here sometime. Here's my three up and three down: convenient to the casino, attractive and small, very pleasant staff. The three down: limited menu, desperate wine list, comparatively expensive . If you want to blow a lot of money eat here you'll get fed it'll be fine. For my money, go off campus either to halfshell oyster House or Mary Maloney's I ordered the pork chop w the blueberry a lis- keep the sauce on the side. Pick up yummy warm roll, apply butter, dip it in the blueberry goodness. Keep that stuff off the pork chop. Expensive poor value.

Very flavorful and I appreciated it wasn't full of filling. They also gave us chicken salad on a spoon. I believe it was chicken salad. He said to start the palate. I ordered the lamb, my husband ordered the steak and lobster. He wasn't aware it was a small fried lobster, but he enjoyed it. It was a big piece of steak, 14oz, so he had to take the rest home. It came with a sauce that he really enjoyed. The lamb was melt in your mouth, tasty and savory. Seasoned just right! We also had the Brussel Sprouts which were really delicious. I asked for a mocktail, but it wasn't really something that wowed me because I look for creativity and it was just plain. Taste good, but plain, especially the presentation. I was given dessert for my birthday, creme brulee, which Jessica torched right at the table and I must say, it was also delish. The menus were impressive also. Wait! The bread basket was grand with the different types of bread, fried cheese and garlic bulb. I really enjoyed the pretzel bread the best.
