Picked up my dog even earlier than expected! I found out the lady grooming my dog is Ellen :-) which I definitely will be back for Ellen. Let her know what your concerns are like me. Which I let her know that my main concerns are that she's an old dog who has very reactive tendency and is sensitive. I don't really care about how she looks as much but her face only. I also told her that my previous groomer kept missing the dew nail (like 3 times). When I went to go pick her up, she let me know about her being very sensitive on the leg area which I forgot to let her know was because of her back due to a back surgery a long time ago. But she noticed the sensitivity and went with scissors! I really care about Soleil being comfortable more than it looking nice because she is an old dog that has been through a lot of issues, and Ellen nailed it!! Thank you Ellen!

My chocolate British Shorthair, Theo, just had a bath from Jennifer, and she was absolutely amazing! Her love for the job and excitement really put me at ease, and I could tell she genuinely cared for Theo. As a $$$$ cat, Theo means the world to me, so it's incredibly reassuring to know he's in such good hands. Also Joelle is so lovely to work with and really helped get him in last minute. Thanks so much!

This review is for Valerie: She is so amazing, professional and sweet, every-time I take my little Yorkie to her I feel so comfortable because my dog loves her and I sense how relaxed she is. The haircut is all the time so beautiful and exactly what I ask. Also, she always surprises me with the cute bandannas around my baby's neck. Thanks Valerie!

They seem to be very friendly and honest. I felt very comfortable speaking with them.

Short story. They mixed up my dog with another dog. Went in for trim and they gave back my beautiful white poodle shaved off completely. She had no mats and no other hair issues. Long story. When I walked in I told the front the options they have for hair cut is too short so she went to the back and brought the clippers and I picked the longest hair option which was 1 inch (that means 1 inch hair will be left on her body). I gave my specific shampoo and left. Two hours later I called to see why it's been so long. I should add that this is our usual grooming but today a different male groomer took my dog. When I called I was told they tried to reach me to tell me they mixed my dog with some other dog and instead they shaved off my dog completely. ( I have no miscalls or texts about them reaching me). My dog is extremely anxious about her hair. She goes into a depression/ anxiety mood when her hair is too short. She will not move from her curled position for days. Just gets up a quick second to pee in our backyard and runs inside. Barely eats or drinks. Do they not have a system to not get dog mixed up? Dogs look the same if you're not the owner. If they mix up dogs so easily then what else could be happening there.

I booked an appointment at Magic Pet Spa about a week in advance for my miniature schnauzer, Miley. I spoke with Ben at the front desk, who was really nice and walked me through everything. I requested a standard schnauzer cut and was quoted $85 from him. When I dropped Miley off, we quickly went over the cut with the groomer. Right before taking her back the person at the front to mention that the cut might be considered specialized, and would cost me another $45.This caught me off guard since we had already agreed on the schnauzer cut, but since we waited a week for the appointment, and Miley really needed a groom, we went ahead with it. I also think the person at the front who checked us in, was Ben, but not 100% sure. When I came back to pick her up, the process felt a little off. Before paying, I asked about a the first time discount I saw on Yelp, and they applied it. Then I was given the total before even seeing Miley, which seemed odd. I usually like to check the groom first to make sure everything looks good. I paid with my card since I saw it was an option, but I didn't tip yet because I hadn't seen the final result. Finally, they brought Miley out and she looked great! I thanked the groomer Steven and asked for his name, planning to ask for his Zelle to send the tip since their Yelp page mentioned "cash Zelle only", but before I could, he quickly walked away, and seconds later, I overheard the female staff member at the front, ask Steven if I had tipped him, and Steven replied "no, but he asked for my name", and they both laughed. That moment just left a bad taste of my mouth. Miley's groom was really well done. Steven did a great job! Overall experience?? It all felt awkward and uncomfortable. Because of that, I don't think I'll be back.

We just moved from nyc to Irvine and struggled to find a groomer in OC we can trust. Jen and Jasmine here are super professional and absolutely some of the best groomers Birdie ever had. Some reviews say the receptionist sounded confused -- he is actually really kind and tries his best to be helpful; we should have more compassion for those with special needs or don't speak English as a first language. Highly recommend.

We brought him in at 13 weeks to the EveryPup Program, where he is in a clean and disinfected facility with other safe and healthy pups and he gets training every day by Dave. Almost from day 1 we started noticing huge changes, and he matured so rapidly it's like we have a different dog! He is very calm, polite and attentive, and has been able to self-regulate so well. Dave is always available for our questions and follow ups, and he sends over progress notes and photos every day from training sessions. We also would ask him about problem behavior such as counter surfing or jumping up on people to greet, and Dave would target those specific behaviors as well. We also appreciated how fast and quickly they acted on our puppy swallowing something he shouldn't have, and immediately gave him some hydrogen peroxide to get him to throw it up, which saved us from extremely expensive and likely traumatic vet visits and possible surgery. Very grateful! Every day we pick up our puppy he is so happy from a day of playing and getting love from all the staff, and is tired and ready for some cuddles and naps when he gets home. The staff here are so caring and really love each dog, I trust them to take care of our puppy. Highly recommend!

Most of the time, our dog's cut is incredibly cute though once in a while there is a slight miss. They will usually try to get you the look you want and make adjustments as requested. The only note is that pricing jumped near 10% at least two years in a row. With tip, it can cost nearly $150 or more for a small dog cut, which does seem pricier. Would love to see price increases calm down so we don't get priced out of affording their services. With that said, we still keep going because it's hard to find the level of service and good to great grooming technique used by the Spaw. We have not used other services here so will not comment on that. Plenty of parking and decent availability, but I would call at least a couple of weeks in advance for scheduling. That changed this last time the owners sold the company and the new owners took over, as things have definitely gone downhill, which brings me to this review specifically. This past Thursday, July 2nd, I swung by Paw Sweet Paw on my way home to pick up my dog, since my wife dropped her off for a half day. I told the young lady at the front I was here to pick up Boba, and she said, "I'll be right back with Boba."I waited for 15 minutes for her to return, and when she did, she did not have my dog with her, and she stated something like, "they are in the process of moving the dogs". Some more time goes by, and a manager walks by, and I am livid by this point, and I said, "Where is my flippin dog, although I didn't use flippin. She said, " Please hold on for one minute and she walked away and went upstairs. By this point, it had been a half hour, and not to mention there was another gentleman there to drop off his dog, and he had been waiting 15 minutes. Some more time goes by, and I told the lady at the front that I was walking to the back to get my dog, and you can call whoever you want, but this is BS. When I opened up the gate and was proceeding to walk back, the manager came walking down the steps, and again, I said Where the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ HELL is my dog, to which she replied, I don't know how to tell you this, but WE GAVE YOUR DOG TO THE WRONG PERSON. Needless to say, I lost it, and I said, how the hell is that even POSSIBLE on your end, let alone the person that took my dog home. Who the hell picks up their dog and realizes that this is not my dog and takes it home?????? The Manager said that somehow either she lost her paper collar or someone neglected to read the name on the collar and handed her off to another staff member, and they are the ones that gave her to the wrong owner.....When the new owners of Paw Sweet Paw took over, they implemented this paper tag collar policy, and when you check your dog in, they take the regular collars off of the dog and put a paper collar on the dog. I think it is absolutely ridiculous, but somehow, they believe it's to protect the dogs in case they get in a fight or something, to which I still don't understand. By this point, I cannot even see straight, and I am basically yelling at the Manager as to where my dog is and who the hell is going to get her. She said, "I just spoke to the owner, and I am driving to her house right now to get Boba." The lady that took my dog had two dogs, so as the manager was leaving, I said You might want to go back and get her dog..... She said it would take her about 15 minutes to get to the lady's house and 15 minutes back. Finally, after well over an hour, I got my dog back!!!!!!.. Needless to say, she was extremely anxious and was panting very heavily all the way home, and her heart was racing as well. She finally settled down later that night.....I am not sure what dogs think, but I believe Boba might've been thinking she was being abandoned because she has never been anywhere except Paw Sweet Paw. All in all, I think it was about a 1.5-hour ordeal (nightmare). The Manager said she started 3 weeks ago, apologized profusely, and said she is going to rectify the problem so that it never happens again. She also said that the District Manager would be calling my wife, because by this time, my wife had come down as well. They did call later on that night from a blocked number and left a message with no number to call back. We're still waiting for her to call back. It really sucks because this is the only place we have ever taken Boba, and she actually likes it there cause she is not locked up all day and can play with other dogs. My dog is already anxious, so the idea of finding a new boarding place is less than desirable, but I might have no choice.
