My first disappearing OPI manicure, less than 48 hours old.Peeling, chipping before 24 hours. Have had regular manicures in the past, none like this. Upon contacting the store they did offer to redo-fix. I will update post. Prior manicures at this salon were 4 stars. read more

Magic Nails - Basic manicure after less than 48 hours. Is this really OPI? Never had a a disappearing manicure before. - Nail Salons Near Me - Willowbrook, Illinois

Update- I went back into the salon yesterday and they did redo my nails. Unfortunately, most of them ripped off with the snagging, and lifting of the previous gel. So- there was not as much nail to fix and the cuticle on several of my nails were ripped and bled as well. The technician that re-did my nails was very sweet and took her time. read more

Good salon but avoid Nicole to do your nails, she was very rude and did not good job with my nails , I asked for someone else to finish my nails and I got amazing Jennifer to finish my nails and they looked very good , but Nicole doesn't know how to do deep powder plus she was very rude. read more

Clean, organized and beautiful nail salon. Very professional, welcoming and friendly staff every time I walked in. I'd been going there for ver 12 years and they're the best nail technician I've ever had. They care and take time to make sure you're getting what you came for. I would highly recommend anyone coming here. I would like to note that if I could give more than 5 stars on this review I would. read more

The people were definitely very nice, however my nails are not. My acrylics look unfinished and they are rough and bumpy to the touch. There are bubbles and even small hairs? in them. So weird. It is super overpriced for the quality of nails that I received. My friend tried to get dip french tips, however they cut her nails so short she had to revert to just a plain baby pink. Not worth the time or money. read more

I always love coming to this place but this time for holiday season it was the best! I had an older gentlemen do my nails and he took care of me to the fullest! (So sorry I can't remember his name). He made sure I liked the colors I picked out so he tested them first and he even repaired a chipped nail I had with a little trick he knew! Truly a great experience! read more

The first time I went was around Christmas time && I got a no chip manicure and pedicure. I couldn't even enjoy it because one person was doing my feet and the other was doing my toes while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I was out of there in 40 minutes and $120 later. Fast forward to yesterday I went in for a full set manicure with no chip and OUCH. I asked for a design, and the guy said he was able to do. NOPEE. It was horrible. On top of that my cuticles were horrible while drilling me he got pretty much ALLL of my cuticles to the point they were bleeding. Do not go back if you wanna be rushed. Oh and it cost me $85 dollars. read more

Scarlet was very professional and patient with me! She took her time with my pedi and was super welcoming

I gave this place a try a few weeks ago and was really disappointed. The reviews led me to believe that the quality would exceed my expectations but it was opposite. The man who did my nails was rude and condescending. He did my nails so fast that they were thick, lumpy and overall not what I had asked for but he continued to correct me on what I was asking for (instead of helping to understand what I wanted). At the tail end I asked for a matte finish and there was no mention of an extra charge nor was there a mention that the length of my nails was an extra charge. I have had the same length at every salon I've ever been too and have literally never been charged for the length. It was a total rip off and I am baffled at the overwhelming positive reviews. I wish my experience matched theirs. read more

Horrible! It is pretty on the inside, but the staff is under qualified. I have been there many times, and I suppose I was giving them the benefit of the doubt of what technician I had. Last time my toe nails were un even, polish appellation was sub par. I called tonight around 4:20 to see If I could walk in, did they have time? Their response was yes, see you soon around 5pm. When I arrived at the said time, ( they did not take my name or appt. time on this phone call). I was turned away, and not kindly. read more

After giving a ton of other nail salons a shot and them just not being up to par, I decided to go a bit further out of my way and it has definitely been worth the extra travel! At other salons, I feel like you just find that one nail tech that ends up being your go to because they just do your nails exactly how you like, but honestly I've had someone different here almost every time over the last 7 months and have NEVER been disappointed!!! They are well known for their dip because they last so long that you honestly have to come get a re-dip because you have so much nail growth and not because they begin to chip or separate. They also have a ton of color options which is a huge plus.....or a huge issue if you can't make up your mind like me. lol. Rarely a wait here either! They have a tons of chairs, 18 main chairs and 20 pedi chairs if I'm not mistaken and they are getting ready to open a second side of the shop with additional chairs as well. Give them a try....you won't be disappointed!!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would... my husband and I go in about every month for a pedicure, and the $65 one! We just left and will never be back, I am in the industry so I appreciate the hard work they do... in he past this has always been the best pedicure relaxing, and we'll done. Today we were in and out in under an hour, steps were skipped, and when I talked to the manager she was not willing to make it right, and seemed to not care. My husband got aggravated (very rare) paid the bill and told them we'd never be back! They didn't care... we have 3 daughters and have spent a TON of money, no more!! read more

I don't understand the reason for the good reviews here. I am new to the area after having moved from downtown chicago. I have been 2 times. The first time I got a mediocre mani / pedi (polish lasted 3 days) and was charged A LOT more than I've ever been charged in the Gold Coast. The second time I got a dip manicure which I have gotten probably 25 times before and this time the dip was so thick it literally looked like (in the words of my husband) "someone chewed bubblegum and stuck it to my fingers". I said something to the tech and also to a manager. She told me "it's just the way my nails are" lol. No. Then she told me that I could come back in a few days if I still didn't like it. I called days later to ask about it and she said they could "sand them down" which I asked for when I was there originally and she told me if they did that they would "shatter". She also said they would charge me to redo them. I then told her I would just find a new salon to do them if they were going to charge and she said "ok!" Bad customer service. read more

Wasted my time. Made an appointment for a mail fill they had me standing at the counter and girl was talking to her coworker playing with her hair did not acknowledge me at all, then after 10 min of that I waited another 35 min and nothing. Clean and classy! That is exactly how you describe this Magic Nails location. All of the employees are friendly and they do a great job. The decor is nice, they keep a smooth moving flow & the owner is normally around to ensure that happens. My go to nail place, definitely. read more

I've been a customer of the Magic Nail group for a long time, ever since they opened the shop Naperville and my regular stop is now the Countryside location. It was the first time at this location, on a whim driving down Kingery. It felt weird here. I don't even really know why - maybe it was the over the top decor, or the less than friendly hostess or the side eye from some of the clients as I walked through the joint. The pedi was ok even though my tech seemed a bit amateur, however very sweet. I have no complaints about the service itself, just a strange vibe here I won't be back. read more

So angry. Went in on a Sunday morning for a pedicure as a treat for my birthday. Arrived at 10:40 and they were packed, which is fine, I don't mind waiting. But. I was given a spa seat and someone set up the foot bath for me. I soaked and I soaked and I soaked. And I soaked. 10 minutes passed, then 15, then 20. At 11 a.m., a man was seated in the seat next to mine. Almost immediately a technician came over and began work on his pedicure. I waited ... another 5 minutes, then 10. At 11:10, after I had been waiting for 30 minutes (and the man next to me -- who arrived 20 minutes after I did -- was well into his treatment), I stood up, dried off my feet and left. Several staffers immediately sprang to attention -- "someone is going to be right with you!" "just another minute!" I don't mind waiting -- but I do mind when a treatment is started and no one is going to be able to do my service for a half hour. And I very very very much mind when someone comes in significantly later than me and is given immediate service. The whole experience spoiled what I had planned as a lovely birthday present for myself. I walked out so angry and hurt. read more

Very bad experience, me and my sister went to this salon for pedicure , our pedicure was really joke, I have no words, the nail technicians, didn't ask how we want the pedicure, bad polish , shape, nothing good...they didn't ask , if we want to drink some water , really , bad job ...... never back !!!!!! Hands down the best nail salon in the area. 2 towns away, and I will make the trip every time.

I had a great experience at Magic Nails. I had a French no-chip manicure and French no-chip pedicure. Tony did my manicure and Leivy did my pedicure. I would highly recommended either of them! To save time while Leivy was doing my pedicure, Tony was doing my manicure. I love no-chip because I can walk out of the salon and not have to worry about bumping or smudging my nails. They made my experience here memorable and I will definitely be coming back again! They are a little pricey, however you get what you pay for and the quality of the service was amazing! read more

The reason i drive 30 minutes and pass 2 other Magic Nail locations on my way - is because this spot is huge, well staffed, tons of chairs (Hands & feet) , BOTH OF THE OWNERS are always here and at least one owner is here EVERY SINGLE DAY. They care about your experience. You keep your receipt for no chip - and if your nail chips off!? - go in with receipt w/in 2 wks - show them - and get it fixed!! They'll do it no problem. Those of you who have complained about a chip in 1 day????? I've got a genius idea for ya ... go back n' fix it. you complained ya paid "an over priced amount" right??? so why didn't ya go back?? Also, the fumes someone else complained about - like you're not going to a tropical oasis...you're going to a nail salon! i bet that person also complains about the smell/smokiness when they go to a steak/BBQ place too. Those complainers are not to be trusted. Haha. They're just ridiculous. Lol. Prices are as expected : - ....30$ for base spa pedicure - ....40$ for no-chip nails - 45 for the dip i think - ....50$ for new set pink&white - ....37-ish$ for re-fill pink & white - ....30+/- $ for Acrylic full set - ....27+/- $ for Acrylic overlay Those complainers on Yelp who think it's over-priced here - i get it- times are tough - but instead of complaining and leaving 1 star about someone's business who puts their blood sweat and tears into keeping it a float - employing many people and making tons and tons of people happy for several years which is why they have 5 locations - and have had to make some spots even bigger - YES , no lie, because THATS how much people love Magic Nails.... i mean really y'all are going to JUST leave 1 star because you think your manicure was over priced? or it chipped a day later? like bring your ass back in and ask them to re-paint it - i can promise you they will!! The happy people keep coming back....that's why it's ALWAYZZZZ busy here because it's a fine establishment and they take pride in their work. If you don't want a new-trainee then ask for an gray haired experienced tech....i mean seriously...i've been coming here for years and i can't believe i didn't leave a comment sooner ... but i felt compelled after reading these bad 1 star reviews... I'm happy and so are all my friends and even my Fiancé and my friends a husbands! they come here for a pedicure now and then and you'd be surprised how many men come here by themselves even... even the guys like this place. Lol. 5 stars i give this place. read more

Usually I have an amazing experience at Magic Nails. I guess that only applies to the Countryside location because every time I go to this one I am shocked by the unprofessionalism. LENA was so rude, aggressive with my nails, kept on talking to her associates and laughing, unsure what it was about but they kept looking at me, my nails, talking some more in another language and laughing and it just felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I didn't want to pay $20 more for no chip so when I asked her to do my request with regular polish she seemed very annoyed, and normally I don't like to complain but it came out HORRIBLE. I'm honestly so sad, it looks like a toddler did my nails. I feel like she was being petty to prove that no chip shouldve been the move? She did nothing to address my concerns and did it very rushed, didnt even do a 2nd coat so its super light, and it was just an overall extremely unpleasant experience. For a $70 full set I would hope to leave satisfied, but unfortunately not. If you want nicely done nails, I would look elsewhere, or at least steer clear of Lena. read more

Excellent dip manicures at any Magic Nails location! They are very clean, stylish, and professional.

Called for prices and was told acrylic nail fill in with no chip polish would be $30.00 imagine my surprise when I was charged $50.00!!! Plus I had to ask for one more coat of polish since you could still see thru the color! I will never go back and will spread the word... read more

I've been coming to this salon religiously since they opened and I have to say as they've gotten larger and more popular, their service has suffered as a result. Today I came to get a dip manicure and a regular pedicure. Pedicure was great. I asked for the technician to find a matching dip color for my manicure. After the dip was completed, the color looked extremely grainy and thick. Literally looked like I dipped my wet fingers in sand. I brought it to the technicians attention and they replied, "that's just how that brand is." For $45+ - not an okay excuse! The owner then came over and instead of offering to make it right by re-doing it or taking it off, she also blamed the brand of powder. I flat out told her I was unhappy with my service and she stated, "next time pick a different color." VERY disappointed in a salon I've been frequenting for MANY years. read more

I walked in and was pleasantly surprised with the decoration and the wide array of color choices for both regular nail polish and no chip. I had one person do a pedicure and one do a manicure at the same time so I was in and out in no time! All utensils are clean and packaged individually. They didn't really remove calluses and I see that it costs more. For a $30 pedicure I sure expected for callus removal to be done! The no chip was $40. On another occasion, I had asked for a simple nail design but they said they couldn't do it. Maybe there are certain people who are good at it, do remember to ask before to get someone good at nail designs. I would come here for special occasions, otherwise it's expensive!! read more
