I was a first time customer of this nail salon and I have to say I was very disappointed. I asked for a full set with Regular acrylic. The nail tech asked me to confirm twice and I clarified that I just wanted regular nails and I was not interested in the No chip. She said it will dry faster and last longer and I once again said no. A customer next to me and her nail tech laughed and said no one gets regular anymore and I once again said that I was fine with regular. The nail tech rushed through the process, which I understood because it was close to closing time but she proceeded to charge me $60 which I paid, but I felt it was a lot for regular acrylic. Afterwards, I went to the front desk to review their prices and I told the receptionist that I was charged $60 but their brochure clearly states $45. The colleague that was sitting next to us instantly jumped in and immediately and said she that she saw her give me gel nails. I said No, that's not true and I even confirmed it twice with her. She grabbed my hand to double check and then got on the phone to call my nail tech who was no where to be found. After hanging up she handed me $5 and said sorry about the mistake. I said the refund should be $15, not $5 and she said we charged you extra for the length and the shape. What length? What shape? I had the most basic medium length oval nails. Nothing special! The worst part was that it was such a rushed process and it didn't merit being scammed. She didn't even let me wash my hands in the sink. She just sprayed my hand with a water bottle and dried them with a rag so she could be done quicker. I never leave reviews, but this situation was too much to let it go. I would have been a repeat customer but never again will I step foot in that business. read more

I didn't really like this place. I just got home and noticed that nail polish is already coming off of my fingers and toes. I first asked for a French manicure and it was very sloppy, so then I asked for a regular polish. My heels still have very dry skin. Overall it was kind of a waste of money, because I feel like I need another manicure and pedicure. I will say that they were clean and the guy was very nice. I am always pleased when I come to Magic Nails for my routine "maintenance." Not only is the salon very clean, but the staff are all very friendly. I brought my boyfriend along for his first ever manicure and he loved the entire experience! Not only is it very relaxing, the staff make sure to do an exceptional job. I typically come here for no-chip manicures, pedicures, and waxing and have always been impressed with the results. I recently moved to the area and needed a pedi desperately. I was at BBB in the same lot so just popped in at 10:30 on a Saturday not sure if they would take me during prime time, but they did. The salon itself is very large and very clean. I was impressed with the decor as well. I just got the basic pedi, which was $30, but they have more involved ones as well. I've only ever had pedicures at this salon and I always make a reservation before hand because they always seem to be insanely busy. They have a large array of colors and the massage chairs are nice. They offer various levels of pedicures including one with nice exfoliating scrubs and massages but that comes at a premium. The staff has always been friendly but I cannot give a 5 stars because my polish has never lasted, it's always chipped within a week and this has occurred at least 3 times now. When I go to other salons my nails grow out long before it chips. I will say they seem to handle super high maintenance customers well so perhaps I will speak up at my next appointment to be sure my polish lasts. read more

Great space. Bright and inviting. We were taken as soon as we walked in, on a Monday at about 1:30 in the afternoon. They are a bit pricey, but the pedicures my daughter's and I received were FABULOUS. Nail art is an extra cost for little ones, and I never thought to ask before saying yes to them (I never get it on my toes) so I learned something new today. Tips can not be left on your credit card, so make sure to bring extra money for that. Magic Nails is my go-to nail salon! You know what you can expect with just about anyone there. My best experiences have been with Tony, so I try to book my appointments with him when I can! I go in just about every four weeks for my no-chip and I just started getting the dip powder which I love even more! My no chip lasts almost four week, but by then is starting to peel. Dip is a solid four! I should probably be going in every three weeks but with my busy schedule, four works best and by then I'm really ready for a new mani. Tony is the best!!!! When I went before prom it was PACKED but they still took great care of me. The technicians are super friendly and they have a great selection of colors. When I came back to have it fixed I was told it would ruin if I don't apply gel on my pedicure .. well it was not my first time at a salon to know that sure the easy way is gel but I wanted regular and somehow my regular salon never had this issue until I stepped into Magic nails. The only magic is that it is shitty product and service . Very dirty and I would not be surprised if the tools are not clean they didn't come out sterilized for fact ... It looks great however their hygiene practices are poor to non existent. #1 they did not wash their hands nor mine #2 dipped my dirty fingertips into multiple powder dishes-- the best practice is that no finger dips but powder is brushed on -- to keep germs out of the powder #3 did not want to clean out under my nails after dipping stuff filled the gaps I am looking for an alternative now! read more

This salon is newly renovated, clean, and has a huge variety of nail polish colors. They also offer dip powder manicures which last 4 weeks. They are more moisturizing and safer on your nails compared to gel manicures. No UV light necessary. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for. The quality is excellent! read more

My mom and I gave frequented this place for more than a year. Today, the nail tech Dylan was tending to my mother and all she said to him was "Good morning, I hope you're awake" and this was enough to upset him and have him get up and refuse to service my mom. I was appalled but what happened next was even more upsetting. The manager, Michael, did not intercede but instead said it was my mother's fault and didn't apologize. It wasn't until after another tech finished her nails that I approached him again and had to almost force an apology to her. Everyone has bad days but when you work with the public, there's no excuse for such a dramatic display. She eventually took the color off and applied the new color. I was there for a total of 2 hours. The following day a nail already broke. I made an appointment to come in and get it fixed. My daughter and I have been going here since it opened. It has become a factory. We went last night and had an awful experience. The dip color was grainy and rough. The owner acknowledged it was "the brand" and that WE should have picked a different brand when in fact her staff picked it to match. Spent over 2 hours there and worst dip I've ever had. Have gone here a few times and each time I'm increasingly disappointed--at this point I will not go back. My last tech cut my cuticle very badly to the point that it was non-stop bleeding. He said, "Sorry." That's all. Then continued with the manicure and told me, "You need to relax." Um, you just cut my finger pretty badly!! I paid for the manicure and didn't protest, but now that I am thinking about it, I should have asked for a discount or something. Aside from the cut, the manicure also wasn't very good--uneven/poorly filed nails and it started peeling off about 1.5 weeks later. While in the shop I told them the price was incorrect. I was told "those prices are old" , these prices displayed are all over the shop . I don't usually come to this nail salon, but it is close to my house & my friend and I wanted to get a mani pedi so we decided to try it out. My pedicure was good & I was very happy with it, and my nails even turned out how I wanted them to (I got a fill in & no chip). The problem is when it came time to pay, my nail tech, Sky, told me it was $55!! I have been getting fill ins & no chip for 3 years and I have NEVER been charged this much. I didn't have them cut down and I didn't do a shape like coffin or almond where they usually charge $5 extra. He completely ripped me off. When I asked how much it normally is, he told me "$45 but since your nails are long, i had to use double the powder". I attached a picture so you can clearly see that my nails aren't long enough to need "double the powder" I have been to Magic Nails in Countryside, and they only charged me $35.
