I called and booked an appointment for my three year-old who wanted her toenails and fingernails painted. My mother-in-law was coming to town from Texas to take her out for nails and shopping while we painted our house. While booking the appointment, they did not mention that they typically do not make appointments for three-year-old unless their adult was getting a service as well. When my mother-in-law graciously took my three year-old to the appointment, they shared with her that they would take the appointment for today, but typically do not just serve three year olds without adults getting a service as well (which is super relaxing for the adult who is supervising the three-year-old getting their nails done simultaneously....) My mother-in-law felt very guilty the whole time as they wanted to spend their time on a customer who would spend more money. Not to mention, my mother-in-law came home confused why it cost so much, which she didn't want to share the amount, so it sounds like they made a good amount of money off her anyways. I am appalled by this terrible customer service. Needless to say, I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

I'm unsure how to rate it - I loved my nails but it's been 7 weeks and I can't get these acrylics off. I have a suspicion they're using dental acrylic which is terrible for your nails but a cheaper alternative. beware! read more

They were extremely rude to my mother, my nails turned out great other than the fact I think she sawed half my skin off... This salon is fine, but expensive. I felt like my gel manicure was very rushed and were some mistakes due to this (my gel was not cured on one hand before they added a second coat making it look smudged). For $35 in less than 30 minutes I expect a bit more. But if you like a quick manicure this would be the place for you. What really bothered me was the lack of gloves on my nail tech, in the wake of the pandemic, having some work on you without gloves and with dirty fingernails is not a great look. read more

I have lived in this neighborhood since it was built. I have tried numerous times to use this salon due to the closeness. Other salons in the area are above and beyond this salon. I write this today to state upon getting a pedicure; I was there for an hour and 20 minutes. The person doing my feet; not able to speak english; which was extremely unhelpful. After a few months of pain I have decided to review this business. I usually don't like writing bad reviews on other business's in the beauty industry, as that is the industry I am in. But alas my toe still hurts after 2.5 months, so here goes. I usually don't go to just 'nail salons' such as this and I was dearly reminded why. I only went in because it is the only nail place in my town. OK so you know those cuticle cutters? They cut my big toe about 1/4 of an inch deep. I screamed. There was no apology from them. Instead, they switched nail techs after a few minutes! I should have walked out. I don't know why I didn't. They also cut my nail so short on the side that I am fighting an ingrown nail. I was not too happy when I went in to get a pedicure and my nails redone. I just moved down to the area in April and treated myself the day after I got everything unpacked to a pedi and nail fix. I had gotten my nails done at a different nail salon and was not happy with how they were done so when I went in to Magic Nails I told the lady that I wanted them fixed and to look nice. Well that didn't happen. She had suggested a new full set but the girl that did my nails just did a rebase and shaped my nails. They looked worse than they did before I went in. My pedicure was fine. Ever since the old owners sold this place has gone down hill. Just got my usual pink and white set done and every nail looks different and the lady cut just about every finger while filing. Also idk if the guy that is always there is an owner but he is always sleeping and snoring while customers are getting services done and to me that in very unprofessional. Will not be returning!!!! Magic nails is under new ownership and management since June of 2011. The whole staff is amazing and very professional. The spa has been totally redone inside with new pedicure chairs and all new flooring and walls. The new owners keep the place spotlessly clean and sanitary, and they have all new levels of services including services with paraffin and longer massages. This was, hands down, THE BEST pedicure I've ever had. Lovely facility, great staff, and Holy Cow! the young man who did my nails gave me the most incredible foot and leg massage. Really. I've been going here for about 2 years since I moved to the area. I have had nothing but excellent service. The owners, Rumen and Tran are always friendly, kind and accomodating to their clients. I have also noticed that there is always great music playing and I love just chatting about life while getting pampered. A majority of the time I make an appointment I am still waiting about 15-30 mins, as they take eyebrow waxes and everyone else ahead of me. I mean, why even make an appointment? Really annoying. Just moved to the area and needed to get my nails fixed. Came in an hour before they closed, so I felt bad coming in without an appointment. Lisa greeted me with a smile and happily sat me down! I would not recommend having your nails done here. It is a waste of your time and money. I went in just for polish and I understand that it doesn't take a whole lot of effort but I do expect the person to do their job. They didn't remove all my old nail polish and told me that it was because I painted too close to my skin. I dont care what industry you're in, you dont do a less than perfect job and if you do dont expect a pat on the back. They have notes posted saying tips are greatly appreciated, well I have no problem giving a tip if you do a good job. I might as well had a five-year-old do my nails. I hate having to write this but they just dont care about their customers, they're just looking to get paid and do as little as possible. read more

The new owners and staff are wonderful, and they do a fantastic job of acrylic nails. I get many compliments on my nails, since I've been having them done here. The salon has been redecorated, with new furniture, new chairs, new pedicure chairs, and the owners keep it immaculate. I had quit going here under the previous ownership but the entire experience and quality of service is now excellent. I highly recommend them. read more
