The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because their pedicures are decent. However, I just had my acrylics done and I'm extremely disappointed. I specifically asked for my nails to be curved downward, but they ended up pointing straight up. After I made that request, the tech began talking to his coworkers in their language, pointing at my nails and the tips while laughing and making questionable faces, which made me feel really uncomfortable and disrespected. I also requested a simple design: solid red, with a red-and-white candy cane design on my ring finger. Even if the design was a bit challenging, paying almost $90 for nails I'm not happy with is really upsetting. On top of that, I never asked for any extra details, yet he added gold without asking. When I said I didn't like it, he insisted it "added something" because my nails were "too simple." If I ask for something specific, I expect to get exactly what I asked for. If I wanted an opinion, I would have asked. Pedicures here are fine, but I do not recommend this place for acrylic nails whatsoever read more

They up-charge you for absolutely everything. I went in asking for a rebase on my already almond nails, said it would be $55 (already so much for a rebase). Understood that because I had a broken nail that I would be charged $5 extra (very normal). Asked for a French with chrome wanted to charge me $15 for chrome (the chrome takes 2 mins and the powder costs MAYBE $10 a jar) and $10 for French. Told them I would just paint my nails myself so they just needed to do the rebase. I finished and went to pay (expecting the $60) and magically the amount was $65. I asked why and she said because I had a "reshape" to get almond nails that were already almond??? Total rip off, and the fact nail techs think they should be paid $60 an hour is absolutely ridiculous. Will not be going back. The only plus is my shape is very good. read more

DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. This is the FIRST time I have attempted to leave my house after having back-to-back femur surgeries with two legs that I cannot stand on. When I arrived, the space was so tight that I had no idea if there would be room for my wheelchair. One of the ladies came up to me and asked what I wanted. I explained that I had called and spoken to a gentleman who quoted me $60 to remove the current dip and paint a solid nail color. She then said, "No, it will be $70." Are you freaking kidding me? What a joke! If this is how you lure people to your salon, then you should be ashamed of yourselves. I went out of my way to have my mom drive me 20 minutes from my home in Commerce City to come to your salon, and then you want to price-gouge me for dip nails with a solid color at $70. Wow. My favorite place to get my nails done. They always do an amazing job, and the techs are all super nice. If you're the type of person who doesn't make appointments and just walks in, you might be waiting awhile, because this is a great nail salon. I've been coming here a few times there's something's that can use some work , but overall it's not a bad place to get nails . Their appointment system can be a hit or miss which is annoying actually . I had made an appointment a while back . There was about 3 of us with around the same time and 2 walk ins that came in they basically did 1 walk in and 1 appointment. Vibe was nice I usually just put earphones on and enjoy myself and don't get bothered with is totally fine . Never had any complaints on how my nails end up looking like . I dropped my 16 year old daughter off here today to get her nails done. Neither of us had been here before as I have a regular nail shop I go to but it isn't close to where we live and they had no appointments for today, so we thought to give this place a try as it is just a couple of minutes away from our house. She asked how much a full set was and they said it depends on what you want. my daughter wanted a very basic set of nails so she didn't think anything of it. BIG MISTAKE! She got black French tip, maybe medium length, nothing special. She was charged $85 DOLLARS!!! and that wasn't even for shellac, just regular polish! They weren't horrible but also nothing spectacular, certainly not worth $85 dollars, the French tip wasn't even clean! The nail shop I go to, I get chrome, designs etc., and am never charged over $65, and they do an amazing job. I have no problem paying $85 for nails that are well worth the price but these most definitely were not! Needless to say I am extremely disappointed and wonder if my daughter wasn't over charged on purpose because she looked like some kid that just didn't know any better. I will never go here again!!! I'm actually really impressed.... Kathy was my nail technician. She did an amazing job!!! The shape is perfect!! I did a simple color since it was my first time going there... did deduct one star.... seems like they don't sanitize much of anything's except the brushes by the sink and she really didn't take her time. Jennifer is really talented. She can do some really beautiful nail art and the shellac always stays. I am always happy with a results! Very messy place, every desk is so over cluttered with items there is only enough space for your hands to fit. As you walk in you are asked if you have an appointment very loudly (which to somone that doesn't know you need appointments Can be embarrassing since there are people in there) . I was told my wait was 15-20 min but after 40 min of waiting in the waiting area I was going to walk out until I was promted to sit at one of the cluttered desk. I asked the woman working on my nails for French Tip acrylics with clear powder , yet I was asked about 4-5 times if I wanted the pink powder. The woman was very rough with my fingers throwing my hand out of the way when she wasn't working on it and in general very rude. I was charged $60 for a simple short French nail set and the smallest tip you are aloud to leave when paying with card is $15. My nails are disgusting she started the white tip way off my nail. I walked in for a gel refill and felt great until I got in my truck and realized how terrible my nails looked in the light. This was my second time ever getting gel- the first time I loved it, my nails looked amazing but I decided to go to this place instead of the place that did them originally and I very much regret it. It was dark in that so that might have had a lot to do with it, but there's things stuck in my nails, she filed down one side so much it started hurting and still hurts on day two. I've had to put a bandaid on it because it feels so raw. I should say however- the tech didn't seem bothered by my asking her to fix the little things I saw, like my shape, she seemed happy to fix things I asked for but it was frustrating that I even had to ask her to make all my nails look the same shape. Worst experience ever. Had a 2:30 appointment with a girlfriend. Another friend decided to join and added to appointment. When we got there the front staff was immediately rude and put off. We got out very expensive pedicures which mine was horrible. Crooked French, nails bleeding, and heels rough. Then we were scolded because we added a friend that we would have to wait for a manicure. They accepted the 3rd appointment . 4:15 rolled by, they put walk ins ahead of us, and I had enough. The place was dirty, full of flies, and bad attitude. Find another salon. The employees do not speak English and they converse in front of you in Vietnamese....it was very rude. The pedicure was less than 30 minutes and they don't even talk to you until it's time to pay. Brighton needs a better salon for nails and the Health Department needs to keep a closer eye on the fact that they use many tools on the next customer without cleaning them. The cheese grater thing and the sander they used on heels. I watched them take it from customer to customer without disinfecting it. But they wear masks... what a joke. Save your money. read more

Is anyone else tired of paying so much for a nail experience that doesn't go well the majority of the time? I just had to walk out of Magic Nails in Brighton because I was so poorly and rudely treated. My daughter and I came in for a manicure and pedicure and while we were getting our pedicures, I could tell my technician was already in a crabby mood. A few things happened prior to the incident that made me walk out that were already creating a negative experience and I was trying to look past them. Towards the end of my pedicure, I accidentally spilled my water onto the little table between the chairs and it splashed my technician. You would have thought I kicked her in the face by how she reacted. I apologized and helped clean up the mess and asked if there was anything more I could do to help. She ignored me and pouted the entire time. When all was cleaned up, I was sitting back down to finish the so called "massage" part of the pedicure when she told me I was done. I kindly asked if I could have the rest of my legs lotioned and she proceeded to hand me the bottle of lotion so I could finish it.... I was appalled. I slapped some lotion on and was figuring out what I should do next when another technician told me to come sit at her table for my manicure. At the same time the manager guy explains that a new technician will help me because the other one I had "doesn't wanna help me anymore"!!! I was so taken back and suddenly realized they had forgotten about painting my daughter's toes. When I asked about her, the manager ROLLED HIS EYES AND HUFFED AT ME while asking what she wanted done...?! I paused taking all this in, I couldn't believe what was happening. I looked around and decided we needed to go. I told the manager that my daughter and I were going to leave now and he simply said "ok".... I have been getting my nails done for the last 10 years and within the last couple years, I haven't been able to find a good place that doesn't treat me poorly or do a bad job. I am not the type to usually say anything and will just take what I get but I'm tired of paying over $100 to have a bad experience half the time. I'm so sad to be writing this and I'm so sad my daughter and I were treated like we were over some spilled water. I would not recommend this place, the odacity of the manager and all the technicians is beyond me. After today, I have seriously contemplated being done with nails in general and not wasting my money anymore... Hope this review saves someone from having a similar experience. When he found out that I just had shellac and wasn't getting something more expensive, he pushed me to the side for a client with a full set that had walked in well after I did. Not only did he push me to the side, he left the foil on my nails for 45 min! I ended up removing them myself because my hands were shriveling and they started to hurt. So........... *sigh* I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, especially one star reviews. I hardly ever write one star reviews. I just don't like putting that kind of negativity, even if it is well deserved. First off, the mani pedi shellac is $70. Standard pricing imo. Maybe even on the cheaper side but it's pretty average. What is also average is the quality of the work. Actually, the mani pedi quality is much closer to subpar. I'm being generous to make up for the fact that this is a one star review. The coats are not noticeably uneven but it is most definitely uneven. The manicurist applied these subpar uneven coats on my hands was Michelle. However, it is not the unevenness nor the misshapen filing job she did at shaping my nails that makes me want to scream in terror when I think of her. Michelle is pretty damn rude. You want that stereotypical Vietnamese manicurist who talks sh** about you because she think you have no clue? Then go see Michelle. She will point at you while she talks to her coworkers. She will roll her eyes at you when you say something. She makes you reach across to hold your arm up in the air to make it comfortable for her. Instead of her moving to your side or sitting her ass down, she will have you hold your arm across to the other side while holding in place in the air at her working level. She will rip away at your cuticles repeatedly even after you gasp "ow" unintentionally because it actually quite fu**ing hurt and you are rather scared that if you speak up, it'll only get worse. I went after work to de stress. I didn't want to have to waste any words to get into a possible argument. I am normally vocal but I just didn't have the energy. Tracy, the lady who did my pedicure was much more calmer, more patient, and didn't flip out because I took too long to choose colors. Michelle was very unpleasant and in my face while she pushed me to pick colors. Michelle, if you don't want to wait for customers to choose colors, then don't be a manicurist. She actually pointed her goddam finger right in my face while she shouted back in Vietnamese at co workers. I am also Asian. I am also an immigrant. I might not be Vietnamese but I am familiar enough to know that she's just inexcusably rude. I thought Lynn, who did not do my nails today, seemed nice. She had good taste and suggestions for colors when others seemed lost at my request for a "pastel yellow." Moreover, she didn't seem to engage in Michelle's rant of sh**talking about me in Vietnamese because Michelle thinks I am clueless. Just because I don't speak your exact language, it doesn't mean I lost digits from my IQ. I have been to plenty of Vietnamese nail shops. My regular place back in San Diego is with a Vietnamese girl named Loni. I love Loni. She does exceptional work and isn't a rude...dare I say it, no...I do not want to use that c-word but it really seems fitting considering my experience just now. I also don't like that Michelle perpetuates negative Asian racial stereotypes. These types of experiences are pretty subjective, which makes my unforgettably bad encounter very difficult to describe. Take everything with a grain of salt. Maybe Michelle had a bad day. I honestly don't know. Also, I always thought people who complain about the lack of service were whiny consumers. When the customer service experience is really bad, to the point of being down right offensive, it actually DOES matter. Even if the nail painting is subpar and almost average on a good day, you still get one star. read more
