When it comes to automobile service in Atlanta, it's like a crapshoot of inflated prices, long wait times for vehicles from good service providers, bad communication, etc - make for a really tough time finding a good place to take your car in the metro area. Magic Muffler is quite the opposite. I drove in at 5pm on a Thursday to see if they could look at my exhaust leak and I also was curious if I could increase performance by replacing some of the system. As I pulled in, there were customers everywhere and the lifts were full. Victor, the owner was slammed with work but still took time to get my car on the lift within 10 minutes and have someone talking to me about options - not in the waiting room , but under my car showing me everything that was wrong and options to fix. WOW! by 5:45 I had my new exhaust, paid up (alot less than the quotes from other places) and on the road. Being rush hour I had enough time by the time to get home to also realize I was getting about 2 MPG better than I was before. Does it get any better than that?? 6 stars if I could. read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! Came in for a simple request. The guys spoke with each other for 15 minutes came back and decided to tell me they didn't want to do the work because of a fuel leak which was not present. The car smelled because the exhaust wasn't connected. I've used Magic Muffler before and everything went smooth with the work quality and scheduling. Today 9/4/24 I show up to my appointment that was set the day prior 9/3/2024 for 4pm. I show up right at 4pm and both bays for exhaust are filled, No problem they get my car in about 15 minutes later. The owner comes out after we discussed what I wanted (super simple, re-run new pipe exactly how the factory exhaust pipe was ran, and add an exhaust tip), $340 for that, a little high but it is what it is. I let them know they are good to go. My car sits on the lift in the air for another 45 minutes (now being right at 5pm), the shop manager comes out to tell me that they will not be working on my car at all because the job I wanted was going to take 2hrs+. So me and my 3yr old daughter have been sitting here for a little over an hour just for them to tell us we have to go home. Rude disrespectful. They're full exhaust system is terrible. After they put a dual exhaust system in the car and started driving funny. They said this is a custom performance exhaust. I went to a mechanic and told me isn't bad exhaust. He unbolted one pipe. He couldn't put it back on because the pipe is not lining up. The exhaust twisted my frame of my car. My car has never been the same. I bought a full chrome performance exhaust on eBay for half the price. These people do Mickey Mouse jobs. If someone refers you to this place, they hate you. These ppl fixed something that didn't needed to be fixed and when they finally find the problem they told me the part I need is no longer made and that they could order a special piece of metal to cut, patch, and weld something together. I almost had to pay $2500 at my Honda dealership just for the catalytic converter, but I found Magic Mufft and only paid $900 for the converter and install with labor costs. Good day everyone. Today's bad experience with this place has forced me to type this review. I have been a customer to this store since 2006. I have brought 4 cars here total with over $2000 spent at this place since 2006. I have referred and brought many of my car fanatic friends here to this shop. That all ends today. I will no longer support this shop. My most recent service from them was for them to install a catalytic converter into my WRX with a $6000+ Steamspeed turbo build. It has a 3 inch catless Tanabee exhaust system. I decided to finally have a converter installed. They installed a 2.5 inch converter into my 3 inch inner diameter exhaust system without consulting with be that they would do that. I contacted them over the phone about it after discovering what they did. The older gentlemen argued with me rudely on the phone. I brought it into the store today. At this point, I am already unhappy. When I came in to discuss and show them what they did and that I was not happy about it, I received nothing but rude comments and disrespect. Smart mouthing to a customer rudely is not very smart. Especially when that customer spent thousands of dollars and referred many people to your shop. I stayed calm throughout the entire visit. I do not care if you guys(store owner and associates) think "it's okay" for your work. I work with licensed pipe-fitters and mechanical engineers at an industrial plant. We deal with high pressure gasses and liquids. The engineers build cars from scratch and race marathons as one of their major hobbies. I showed them what these guys did, and they agreed that shoving a 2.5 inch into a 3 inch system was not ideal and especially on an upgraded turbo charged vehicle. There is now far more restriction, as expected. The feel of it when I hit the throttle now is horrible. Having the tighter fitment made the feel far worse. The whole point of all this is that I am extremely disappointed in their service recently and will end all support for this shop. They are not able to handle an unsatisfied customer experience well. Took my 2005 Sienna AWD (bought from North) to these guys for noise around muffler due to rust. They are really honest and told I dont need new muffler and they could repair the part of exhaust pipe that's rusted. The whole job took around 30 mins and I left with silent vehicle from there. Great! Stopped by today around noon with no appointment. They appeared pretty busy yet was immediately greeted. After explaining my issue, the guy told me to give him about 10 minutes and they would take a look. Less than 5 minutes later, they brought my truck in and put it on the lift and had me come out with them as they assessed. Ended up leaving my truck with them and about 3 hours later received a call that it was ready. Everything looked and sounded great. Cant say enough good things. Great, honest business. I took my car to a dealer that quoted me an outrageous price to fix my exhaust system ($4500). Turns out the dealer was lying to me about my problems trying to scam me for a quick buck. I was able to come into Magic Muffler immediately and get a diagnosis in minutes. They revealed that what the dealer had said was broken was in perfect condition and my real problem was a small job that only took 20 minutes and costed waaaay less ($60)! Literally within 10 minutes of me walking in the door they had already identified the problem and explained the repair. They got it knocked out in no time and the price was very fair. Can't express how happy I am with my new shocks and struts! Magic Mufflers made my entire car repair experience so much less stressful and definitely less expensive. Quick and fair. I knew I needed a muffler but thought maybe I needed a tailpipe as well. The co-owner was honest and said unless I just wanted a pretty tailpipe, mine was working fine. My assumption was, if the tailpipe was rusted I should replace. He was patient and explained that is should be fine for quite awhile and also let me know my muffler could be going bad due to an engine problem. When I said I had been replacing many engine parts, he didn't try to up sell or angle for a diagnostic. I really appreciated his honesty. Never go here!! They completely ripped me off. I had to get my catalytic converter replaced and while doing that they then told me my other one had gone bad. I could tell something was up so I took my car somewhere I could trust. The gentlemen at a different muffler shop told me that this place had cut my O2 cord and moved it around. I went to this muffler repair service and I have a cat back borla kit on my 2003 GMC Envoy. I installed it about 12 years ago and it's an amazing product. But I noticed that the pipes in the rear of the vehicle were uneven and saggy. I get my truck serviced at Lindbergh Automotive up the street and Marsh the owner referred me to Jose Antonio muffler service. They were on time I even waited until they leveled out my exhaust tips and these guys are honest trustworthy and professional. I highly recommend them ! read more

I went here last than one year ago to fix a catalytic converter because I didn't pass an emissions test. They changed my catalytic converter, and they charged me $493.20 plus $75 for a sensor. After that, I went to the emission test again, and my car didn't pass once again, because of the same problem. I went back at 9 o'clock in the morning in order to be the first in line, but the people at the front desk told me they had four customers ahead of me. I made an appointment for 2:30 in the afternoon that day. I came 30 minutes earlier to my appointment. I waited for an hour and thirty minutes. But another customer who came without an appointment only waited fifteen minutes, and his car was fixed. They told me they were busy because they only had one mechanic. I'm not surprised if they treat their mechanic the same way they treat me. Nobody wants to work for them. They'd run away from this business. I need anybody who wants to use this business to run away the same way I did. And they didn't leave me a choice but to transfer all the paperwork to my lawyer.
