It's not the most presentable building from the outside. I'll admit that. It's right across Bull Gogi off Spalding. I didn't even know it existed until a friend used them. Then another friend used them so gave them a try. I feel like Chris is a mechanic you can trust. Just seems like a no frills kind of guy who does his work. He said he opened the shop in the late 90s with his dad but now he just works it himself. I don't think he gets super busy but always has a steady flow of work. For example, I called about 5 days before to get my 4 brake pads replaced. I brought it in at 8am and picked it up by 11:15am. It was $170 for set so $340 flat (taxes included) for genuine Honda brake pads. I know Curry Honda does it for $190 a set so it's a slight discount but I know I won't have to wait forever. I do wish I could have gotten a shuttle. I had to walk 45 mins each way for pick up but good exercise I suppose. The store can benefit from a more visible sign but maybe he doesn't want that. My parents brought their Hondas and Acuras to be serviced when I was growing up in Norcross in the 90s. Now I live all the way down next to Ponce City Market in the Highlands and still drive all the way up to Norcross to have Chris work on my 2007 Honda Accord when it needs minor or major maintenance, so I have been a customer here for over 20 years. All of the other reviews here are 100% spot on. Honest, reliable, great price, and has often fixed my problems for free. Just to test out the difference between Rio and a major chain, I went and got quotes to compare and not only was I paying 2x more at a major chain, I would have potentially had someone working on my car in which I had no idea their experience level so the choice was a no brainer. Approximately seven years ago, I was driving to my office in Technology Park when a small rock managed to become lodged in a brake disc, causing an excruciating, ear-piercing, screeching sound. I pulled over and called a tow truck, unsure as to what had happened and where I should even take the car. The tow truck driver told me it was a good thing I owned a Honda because the best mechanic, and an honest one at that, was right up the road on Spalding Drive. At the time, I was frustrated with the situation of having to spend money on something I could not have prevented nor avoided. Immediately following my initial introduction to Chris, I realized that everything does happen for a reason. When he told me he had located this little piece of gravel, and did such a great job explaining where it was and what it did - I knew this incident had a silver lining. It was the first time a mechanic did not try to scare me or sell me on anything. Chris has been nothing but honest since day 1, and seven years later, he has continued to keep my 157,000 mile, 2002 Honda Civic in top notch working order. I have sent three co-workers to him, one of which said that Chris quoted him nearly $1,000 less than a Honda dealer for work he needed on his Accord. He said Chris did an exceptional job on his car. Another co-worker has a Civic about the same age as mine, but with about 100k less on mileage, and she was told by a well-known auto service center that she needed a rather expensive service that Chris does not actually perform, but he was able to determine she did not need the new parts at all. Another co-worker with an Acura is also happy with Chris, his professionalism, and excellent prices. I am grateful for the rock that wedged its way under my car that fateful day, because the small amount of money I spent on that rock has saved me, literally, thousands of dollars over the past seven years.
