It's a family owned auto repair shop, residing in a mostly Hispanic strip mall area. I don't venture out to Smyrna much so was hopeful they could get my A/C working and do a quick oil change. I've delayed getting my a/c fixed for 2 years, assuming it was going to be pricey and just not stressing over it. Guess when your gf breaks up with you, and you had saved money up for a ring, you end up having money to spare. Thank you, I guess? The waiting room isn't large and there's not much in it (a vending machine and 4 comfy chairs with magazines). No coffee or water. And it can get hot in it. BUT, there is a Wing Place across the street to chill at (which is where I went). This truly is a shop focused on the car. It took them about 2 and a half hours. Cost was waaaaaaay lower than what I thought it was going to be, like 75% lower! And when I cranked my car, cold air came out. My car had the coldest A/C prior to the issue and it felt like new again. I have no doubt any other place would have tried gouging me. Insanely happy with the work done, and would 1000% recommend them.

I decided to get a second opinion at Vol Repairs, having been there once or twice before. Ramon and his team thoroughly inspected my car and told me that I just needed to get new cv boots - at a cost around $370, whereas Dyer & Dyer quoted me $1800!! I'm still in shock, as I wonder how much of the $5000 I had spent there (between two cars) was actually necessary. I'll be taking my car to Vol Repairs from now on!

I paid for an oil change, new battery and a tune up and my car runs WORSE than it did prior to me taking my car to MR. WILLIE. First let me say that the waiting area is gross and disgusting. The area is unkept and NASTY. When you enter the establishment the first thing you smell is dog poop. And the screaming dog that is in the establishment barks constantly. Let me add that the dog is unkept and appear to have fleas. Second, I paid MR. WILLIE for an oil change, a tune up, tire installation and for a new battery to be installed. One month later, I go to 2 DIFFERENT auto mechanic because my car is shaking and puttering to get a diagnostic check from each company and with both company findings, I need a tune up. After my wife and I got new jobs in 2016 we found it difficult to make it to the shop and I started doing my own maintenance. This year we bought a 2019 XC90 and the AC went out. I decided to take it to Lance. In and out in around 2 hours. I tried to bait Lance into saying that the mechanic who did my oil change had let all of the Freon out because all the system needed was to be recharged, but he wouldn't. He stayed professional. Today I got in the car and the AC is still working. Almost 10 years later and he remembered me when I walked thru the door and he gave me the same service he gave me them!
