Magic Cup has a delicious caramel chai latte. While ordinarily a latte contains two shots of espresso, this brew does not. They are dog friendly! I have my favorite boba standbys - Kung Fu Tea, Gong Cha and Sharetea. They are successful chains for a reason. So, I'm always a little hesitant to try new places (eg. the disaster called Fat Straws). But I'm really glad I came here. They have a ton of boba options - I opted for the mango with chamoy. They had fresh diced mango and for a small charge, they will fan fresh mango on top (like zero degrees but cheaper). I found the drink not too sweet and the flavor to be excellent (not too watery, the perfect amount of ice). I loved the dice mango. They have some really interesting drink options (like guava) and can add anything from boba to protein powder. The employees were super nice and helpful with making drink selections. The place is fairly small inside but they have some seats outside. I also liked the general location. It is within the same plaza as Saigon Block, which I love. The more I come here, the faster the ratings drop. My fav drink here is the tropical paradise. It does vary though bc they use fresh squeezed orange juice. So if oranges aren't in season, the drink can be sour or bitter. Also I ask to sub some of the fruit to accommodate my braces due to some fruits get stuck in my braces very easily. They always get my order wrong or not understand what I want. They will either over charge me or not give me any fruit at all. Milk tea: when i ventured out of my fruit tea, this is my second choice. It tasted horrible. Very bitter and burnt tasting like the tea was over brewed. Today I got a caramel frappe. And today the service was at its worst. I hate to say it. But the workers are just not very competent. At some point. My frappe spilled EVERYWHERE on the counter. The worker just STOOD there and looked at me. I was covered with the drink. And had to ask for a wet napkin or towel. In which he replied, Oh. Ok. And went to go grab me an extremely dirty and disgusting towel. It only spread the frappe around and made everything sticky. So far, this place is pretty decent. Their slushes are very good. I can't say the same about their teas. So this review is mainly about their slushes. The strawberry-mango slush is a fave. It taste like fro-yo. But what I wish they do is put sweet mango chunks on top on the slush instead of tart. The tartness is not bad, but I would prefer sweet over tart. The mango-kiwi slush tasted a lot like green apple. I wasn't expecting that, because I've been wanting a drink that is similar to 9 Rabbits. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I ordered a large. I am a regular at this place. It is very convenient for me on my way home, and their flavors are great. My favorite flavors: Vera Blossom, Jasmine tea w/boba, Mango/Passionfruit tea with boba, and their Mango smoothies. (Yes, I love mango!) I only have two criticisms: 1. They don't add as much boba as other places I've frequented. 2. Their prices are a bit higher than other places, too. I always tip the baristas as they work hard when they get busy. They also welcome people from other businesses use their venue, so it shows that they want to have more community awareness, which is awesome. Is Magic Cup the best boba tea place? Not necessarily, but the staff is friendly and they make sure that the drinks are exactly what you need. Hope this helps! read more

Can't speak for the milk tea and other teas but DON'T get coffee here. We got lavender latte and black viet coffee and both were pretty nasty. The latte was very watery and had a gross aftertaste. They offer so many "out of the box" drinks that will tickle your taste buds! - Cha Mango: Mango smoothie with Chamoy flavoring infused in the smoothie that topped with cubes of mango and it comes with a fat straw that is covered in the Chamoy powder! FYI.. if you don't want a mango flavored smoothie but want to have the Chamoy flavored straw, you can just ask them to "Spice it up" for you and you will get the special straw. - Tropical Paradise: Fresh fruit tea that is infused with mango, pineapple, watermelon, orange, and strawberry. I love the tiny pieces of the fruit! It's refreshing and not overly sweet. If you have the fruit tea from "Juice Box" then you know what I am describing. -Taro milk tea- pre-made milk tea that is probably made from black tea and taro powder, this is the typical approach to the taro milk tea so nothing too special about this.. Overall I enjoyed all of the tea and options they have here. I hope they keep up with the cleanliness of this new shiny spot, customer service, and quality of their products up to par. This location is a bit hidden near the apartments, but if you just slow down a little bit, you'll find this hidden gem. For me, Magic Cup is a fairly close distant from where I live. Since I have some buddies living around the neighborhood, we can just grab a quick drink and hang out there. The area is spacious, modern, and they've got outdoor seating. There is wifi, so you'll be able to browse the web, play your games, and bring your laptop in for some studying if you want. Magic Cup has some board games like Banana Grams, monopoly deal, and jenga (my favorite). The drink I get usually is the boba milk tea, but I decided to live on the edge today and try the avocado with popping lychee. It is the middle bottom one in the "Popular Drinks" section. The cashier was very nice and helped me find the drink for me. I really felt welcome there with her cheerful attitude. I got my drink at a decent amount of time and it was pretty good. I'm pretty glad that I was introduced to this place by my brother. Magic cup is a neat little tea house with adorned decorations and a very appealing interior. I'm usually picky when it comes to Vietnamese Iced coffee because many Tea houses tend to make them very sweet. Magic Cup however avoids the excessively sweet aspect and the bubbles had a good texture to them as well. It's not the best Iced coffee ever, but hey it won't disappoint so no complaints. I also tried the Kimchi fries. I love Kimchi Fries and the ones at Magic Cup are very tasty. Get them with the Bacon Bits! I also leeched a bite off my brothers Breakfast Burrito and man was it good. I need to come by again and grab a quick breakfast. The Service is also polite and won't rush you to make an order. The Manager/Owner(?) was very sweet. You can tell she cares about her customers and stands behind her products. I'm really glad I found out about Magic Cup. It's a great place to study or hangout with friends. You know how your mouth starts watering as you think about something sweet/sour...well it's happening to me RIGHT NOW..as I'm reminiscing that Cha-Mango!! Hands down..must have while in Dallas...not just once..not just twice..but every single day you are visiting!!! (well at least that was the case for me) Ok..so my cousin has been raving about the Mangonada she gets at a Mexican snowball joint close to her house. She came across Magic Cup while grocery shopping at a nearby H-mart. She told me it's the best Mangonada she every had in her life! So, during my trip I decided to give it a try. The place is a cool joint. There's lots of seating area to sit and enjoy your drink as well as some small "bar-bites"/tapa style foods. We tried the Voodoo Chicken, Fried Dumplings, Sweet Basil Chicken wings, Fried Calamari, and Beignets. The small plates are all made to order so they come out piping hot! I LOVED the Chicken wings, perfect seasoning and butter glaze. I do recommend maybe tossing the wings with the sauce so there's not a pool of sauce sitting on the bottom of the cup. Fried calamari was amazing, and the fried dumplings are ok. I was a little disappointed bc I thought they were the Chinese style pan seared dumplings. They are still really good just the Chinese dumplings are better. Drinks: I pretty much tried every flavored teas they had on their menu (only bc I would order 2 cha-mango...one to drink there and one to drink on the road back and a cup of tea drink) I LOVED the Passion Blast and my mom really enjoyed the Tropical Paradise. The Passion Blast was a great balance of sweet and sour. I love the fresh diced fruits inside the tea as well. CHA-MANGO....AMAZINGGGG!!! Blended with fresh fruits...swirled with Chamoy sauce and Chamoy Candy straw. It's seriously the perfect balance. I'm literally chewing off the candy coating the straw. My ONLY COMPLAINT...I NEED TWO CHAMOY STRAWS!!! lol... Ok so this place deserves 5 stars. The owner was super sweet. I tried something new that I did NOT like (coconut taro slush w/soy - tasted like vanilla ice cream, but not in a good way) and the young lady graciously replaced it with my old faithful - thai tea w/soy & boba - which was perfectly sweet, strong, and the boba was fresh!!! Good customer service is everything!!! Also, I had the bacon & egg burrito and I was surprised at how good it was!!! There is some special sauce on it, the bacon was crispy, and there were onions on it. BUT what has really drawn me in is their grass jelly.. It is soo good! It's dense and sinks to the bottom unlike a lot of other places. My go-to drink here is the jasmine milk tea with grass jelly! I love Magic cup's Thai teas! They have 2 varieties, the normal thai tea and a green thai tea. They are the best in the DFW area. I also love that there is an option to adjust sweetness! The Magic Cup is my occasional study spot as they have good quality boba drinks. I like the fact I can get my milk tea with milk alternatives like soy milk and unsweet with tasty boba. I do have to say that it can get loud because of their music. I wish it they lowered a bit. It echoes really well in here and it can be hard to study so I do not come here often but overall it is a great place to get some good quality boba drinks. I always find parking and they're open late 'til 11 some days which is a plus for me. It gets busy but it isn't overbearingly crowded. read more
