Really friendly, great vibe, and excellent non-dairy and unsweetened milk options! It smells like delicious cookies if you are here during baking time. read more

Unquestionably the best coffee shop in the area. Stephen, the owner, is an absolute service focused business owner. As a local shopkeeper I think it's crucial to have engaging, friendly and knowledgable employees and Magic Brain has this in spades. Plus they make a mean (read delicious) Americano. Love stopping in for my Friday morning cup of Joe Thanks Stephen for creating a great shop where I can sit and have client meetings. Also, try the oatmeal for breakfast, it's a real treat. read more

AMAZING. Just AMAZING. Couldn't be more happy with my purchase. Grabbed a coffee frappe with a double espresso shot and some caramel drizzle in the cup accompanied by a cruffin. Paired perfectly & otally HIT the spot on a hot summer day! read more

I bought a coffee, thinking that with a purchase they offered free wifi! Nope! It was $6 for an hour... complete scam. The 7 mile drive to Starbucks in Rio Grande was completely worth it! read more

Best coffee shop in Cape May! We really enjoy traveling and finding the best coffee around and we found it here. The owner, Steve, is friendly and makes a fine latte. We usually try different coffee shops when traveling but stuck with Magic Brain...it was that yummy. And the bagels were the best around! So good that we ordered 2 dozen to bring home with us. We will certainly come back here when we are visiting Cape May. read more

I travel extensively for business and buy coffee wherever I go. I have never had a better latte than magicbrain's! Additionally, they gave great pastries and the staff is wonderful. Don't miss it! read more

Perfect cafe - cozy, laid back, and the brew is superb. My Americano was absolute perfection, and the chocolate croissant was fresh and very flavorful. The owner was working the counter and he made me feel very welcome. This is definitely the cafe that the locals frequent - and for good reason! I will absolutely be back. read more

We enjoyed this place so much that we came every day. Coffees were made to order, and the warm cookies straight from the oven made me feel like I was right at home. Friendly proprietor. Worth the stop. read more

I was disappointed with my coffee. They serve lavazza brand coffee, something one can find in any supermarket. The location is nice, near the beach and in the outdoor mall. read more

small business with delicious coffee... and if you like chai, try it here!!! Quick service and very clean and friendly!

Love a place that offers unsweetened soy and almond milks!! Coffee was good and service fast.

$6 for a large soy mocha is like yikes man. It was still really good though and I'm gonna come back cause you're supposed to spend a lot of money on vacation. Also thanks for accepting cards (.....@ coffee tyme) read more

All the years we've been coming to Cape May, and I've never stopped here in any of its incarnations. But, they came to my rescue today when my hotel jacked up my order yet again, and frustrated I hit the streets to get a good cup of coffee. Remembering they were nearby, I dropped in to this perfectly charming coffee shop with a very friendly owner, great coffee and pastry options, and other morning niceties. I ordered a white chocolate latte as a pick-me-up, made with three shots of espresso. It was delicious, and reasonably priced. I'll certainly be stopping here again! read more

I do not like giving low ratings to local businesses (I'm a local), but I have no choice. This coffee shop sells stale products. They can get away with that to a certain extent with some things, like lemon bars and brownies, but not with other products, like bagels. I had not been back to Magic Brain since it was bought by the current owner. A couple of months ago, I decided to give it a try. I love LeBus bagels, and this shop sells my favorite: cinnamon raisin. When I first tried it a couple of months ago, I took my bagel home, only to discover that it was hard---as in two-days-old hard. Wanting to be fair, I contacted the owner via E-mail to let him know. He thanked me for letting him know and for not posting a poor review on Yelp (as he had gotten a previous review about stale pastries and wanted to avoid another one---he indicated as much in his E-mail). He blamed the situation on LeBus, saying they must have delivered the bagels stale and offered me a free bagel when I next came in. I went in a couple of weeks later and asked for a bagel with cream cheese. I identified myself as the unhappy customer, and the owner served me.I found it odd that he toasted my bagel without me asking. That's unusual as it is always customary to ask the customer if he/she wants it toasted. That was my first indication that the bagel was probably stale. It was certainly not that day's bagel, but it wasn't as stale as the previous one I had gotten, and it didn't taste too bad because he had toasted it. This Saturday, I decided to give the shop one more chance. I asked the server to just give me a bagel without toasting it. I planned to have it later that morning. I should have felt it in the shop, but I didn't, and when I took it home, sure enough the bagel was AT LEAST three days old. It was as hard as a hockey puck, and there was no way I could eat it without risking breaking a tooth. I really should have brought it back to the shop, but I didn't want to waste my gas doing it. I know that local businesses have a really tough time making it in this economy, but the last thing one should do is try to pass off substandard products to customers. I work hard for my money, too. I will not be going back to this place as now I know that the owner really doesn't care about customer satisfaction (even if it is LeBus delivering stale bagels, the owner should check before putting them in the case). I will also spread the word to anyone I know (and I know a lot of people in town) that this place is not worth the stop. read more

Great lattes, the usual interet service ($4 for fifteen minutes). However, be careful clicking on their links...Internet Explorer got me onto a Russian website as its home page...felt like I was being web-jacked! Helpful staff resolved the issue...but you may want to keep an eye out for the home pages. read more

Best barista in all of South Jersey! These guys make some of the most perfect foam I've ever had and I miss them when I go home. Flavored drinks are well balanced and not too sweet. And I was so beyond excited to find my favorite Le Bus bagels are delivered from Philly every day! The lines can be long at times, but that only attests to their excellence. Bonus: the upstairs room is super cozy and the jazz standards in the air create the perfect atmosphere. read more

Cozy atmosphere, fast service, nice people. Great for a quick breakfast coffee or pastry, but also open late for a late night snack or drink! I Recommend :)) read more

I'll tell you in a minute why I love this place but first you gotta know that I'm a picky coffee snob who worked years in a cafe in a past life. But back to this place... The decor is perfectly balanced between cute beach town feel and upscale urban cafe. I was greeted by a genuinely friendly man who happened to be the owner. He and his barista were very kind and patient. The drinks were on point and I had this bagel... cinnamon raisin... this bagel... this bagel will be the reason I come back to Cape May next! It's fruitless to try to describe it but from a fairweather bagel fan I will say this thing made my day. read more

The coffee and chocolate croissants were yummy. It is one of the only places open at 8am. Upstairs could have been a little cleaner and cooler, but still a great place to chat and have coffee with friends. read more

Our family trip down the shore unfortunately coincided with a big work deadline, so I ended up stuck on the laptop. Fortunately I found Magic Brain. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, it felt like home. I can't recommend the place highly enough. Thanks! read more

I really wanted to like this place because it was charming and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, my cup of coffee was weak and flavorless. They do have AMAZING chocolate chip cookies which i believe they make on site. They are only available in the afternoon and evening. They were chewy, soft, and filled with chocolate. I would go back just for the cookies, but skip the coffee. read more
