Had a latte, americano, cheddar and chive biscuit, as well as the croissant cinnamon roll. Very tasty pastries and solid coffee.

Great place to sit and relax while playing games or reading a book. I love the iced matcha latte here. read more

Magic Brain Cafe - Enjoying a matcha iced latte and a mean game of checkers. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Cape May, New Jersey

Finally made it over to Magic Brain while visiting in Cape May. I got a large medium roast (organic) coffee and a chocolate chip scone. It was less than $6 for both which was an awesome deal. I stopped in the middle of eating my scone to write this review because it is PHENOMENAL and I didn't want to forget to post about it. Wish I had taken a pic first. Darn. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it! read more

The best cafe on the island. I have been coming here for years, and only received the best service, while also the most delicious, freshly brewed coffee. I come here so often that the barista knows my morning and afternoon orders. The staff is quick, extremely polite, and efficient. Magic Brain Cafe, I love you guys!!!! read more

MAGIC BRAIN IS THE BEST IN CAPE MAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/5 stars from me! best coffee, best cookie, best service, and the nicest people you'll ever meet. been going there for 3 years never been disappointed read more

The coffee was smooth, robust and created with care

Was visiting Cape May and found this awesome coffee shop with a ridiculously long list of flavors and an extremely efficient and friendly staff! Had to go back next day. read more

Excellent cold brew! The cashier and barista were both welcoming and friendly and the cafe itself is cozy, with a rustic and homely feel to it. Not a lot of seating, but I don't think many people drink their coffees there, as the beach is nearby. This cafe is inside of a small shopping center, so I'm sure people grab a drink and walk around. They offer coffee, refrigerated beverages and even blended drinks. read more

the iced matcha latte with oatmilk was the most divine thing ever. seriously the best matcha latte i have ever consumed

I'm in love with lattes and was in search of my iced dirty chai with coconut milk. My legs decided to lead me here. I was instantly impressed with the atmosphere and the comfort that came along with it. Baristas were extremely pleasant and greeted me with a smile. I saw them making fresh whipped cream for someone else's order and was even more excited for my caffeinated concoction! To say the least, even at receiving my finished product, was served with a smile. I thought my drink itself was delicious and made me a more pleasant person instantly. Totally would come back to try other beverages! Worth a try if you are fickle about chai tea or chai tea lattes. I'm guessing their other drinks will be yummy too because of their dispositions making your drinks. You know how they say...made with love and in a good mood, good/drinks taste better? Well, totally applies here! read more

Best coffee in Cape May. Have very high quality scones and cookies. It's a nice quiet place to hang out for awhile. They also have a tic tac toe board that kids like to play. A nice spot overall and highly recommend. read more

This is my usual place to get my morning coffee in Cape May. They make a very nice cold brew. The staff is always friendly. Got myself a delicious cinnamon chip scone this morning to go with my coffee. Nice scone, moist and still slightly warm. read more

New owner starting this summer, big improvement. The bagels are awesome and the coffee is coffee.

Coffee was great! I am a little bit fussy about my coffee and this place suited my tastes just fine. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Such a nice little cafe in downtown Cape May. It's got a lovely cozy feel and some pretty good brew as well. There is a good selection of baked goods too. Great for a pick me up when exploring the town. The service here is incredibly friendly as well. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon the Magic Brain Cafe today. I got an iced latte with soy milk because they didn't have organic milk and ain't nobody got time for the hormones in regular milk. It was yummy, but not super worth +$5. Nothing too special. I'd go back and get something a little stronger next time. read more

New owner as of May 1, 2012. Any review before April 2012 is not valid. WiFi is free for an hour with purchase. Coffee is very good (new brand). Options to milk and an occasional gluten free pastry as well as the usual pastries. Owner is very experienced in restaurant business and has high hygiene standards. Owner is also pleasant and welcoming. Cozy upstairs with couches. Computers are working. No sandwiches as shop not allowed to compete with nearby restaurant. A very good place to hang in Cape May. read more

The coffee here is very good - always fresh and hot. Have tried several of the baked goods - the scones were fresh and very good. I had saw a review on how good the bagels were so I bought one of the raisin cinnamon bagels and toasted it the next morning. One half was just buttered and the other with cream cheese. The bagel was very, very good! Very nice place to take a break and just chill after shopping! read more

I wanted to love this place so much. The decor and vibe is just up my ally. The only downfall: the girl could not make a decent latte if her life depended on it. They desperately need a properly trained barista behind the counter. That would change everything. read more

In a burger & fries shore town, it was so nice for a NY coffee snob to find a place to get a $6 soy latte (that may be the best I have ever had) Thank you! read more

Any way to add this place under coffee and espresso. So far out of all the places in Cape May Magic brain pulls the best double shot of espresso. But when you search coffee magic brain only comes up under Internet cafe. Staff was very friendly even when had younger family members with me to let them try some of their iced chai teas. As far as food it's ok. I wish sometimes cafés would just limit themselves to 2 or 3 three things and do them perfect instead of having a bunch of desserts that are just ok. As far as coffee and tea products they are top notch. As far as having snacks and pastries they are average. They are not your local bakery or bagel stores but it works. read more

Good coffee, good service, happy workers, what more could you need? Great place to stop in for a quick coffee on the go or stop in for some free wifi to beat the heat. read more

Coffee was watered down and the blueberry scone was flat and had no flavor Im sorry but I hope this review motivates the staff to do a better job read more

Mighty muffin? methinks not. The muffin top may have been mightier than any sword attempting to slice it, certainly my teeth. So, that's alright, they have coffee. Columbian espresso roast, hmm, filled half my cup. Topped it off with another blend. Result? Ever been to a bar where they watered down their liquor? No? Use your imagination. Okay, fine, internet cafe. Let's use the internet. If it were working, I would have to pay ... a tidy sum ..., but thankfully it wasn't working. Poured the coffee onto the street and biked down to Perry. Argh. read more

Got iced coffee all flavored and the syrups tasted kinda off. Sorta like some fake sugary chemical. Prices are good and service is good

I wanted to like this place but the coffee was tasteless. Maybe it was just an off day. The unapologetic employee offered to throw a few shots of espresso into the coffee, to enrich the flavor, but quite frankly I just wanted a good cup of coffee. read more

Super friendly staff! Yummy coconut coffee :)

Very nice place. We got regular coffee and an iced latte. The barista was friendly and fast. He was able to make it half caffeine which is always a plus. Everything was very good. Going upstairs to the "coffee lounge" is a must. Very relaxing! read more

What a treat! My Mom and I hopped in to this cafe after doing a little perusing downtown and it was quite magical, indeed :) Steve, was awesome and made us two stellar cappuccinos ! I had soy, Mom had regular. We also split an oatmeal raisin cookie which was super scrumptious and are made in house. Yum! The cafe is very cute, great vibes, and lots of ground bags (I bought a personal unique favorite flavor- bananas foster!) and I'd love to explore the yoga studio right upstairs. :) I can tell I'll be back many times and am so pleased to find some excellent downtown brews. Highly recommended for locals and visitors! Delightful :-) read more

I'm a little late writing this but wanted to do so anyway. I happened up Magic Brain Cafe while hanging out in Cape May earlier in the summer and was so happy to have found them. First of all, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Steve, who was awesome and full of GREAT customer service, which is hard to come by these days. Although he was very busy, he took the time to make me feel right at home and served up deliciously FRESH pastries and piping hot coffee. Magic Brain Cafe is clean, cozy, friendly and refreshing with excellent quality products. If you make it Cape May -- definitely give them a try. read more

Cool little spot complete with a reading nook. Delicious coffee. Friendly staff.

I had a cup of hot chocolate here, you cant visit Cape May without going here! This cafe is inside an interesting/different kind of shopping mall and remember Cape May can get windy in the evening so it was perfect! read more

Great regular coffee and lattes. Lots of syrup selections. Scones are delicious. Wish they had more pastry selections, but I was there in offseason and I have a feeling they offer more during busier times of the year. read more

Coffee is good. This is probably the best place in Cape May if you want good coffee. Remember: good coffee does not need cream and sugar.

I only go there for their croissants (I think they are from Le Bus in Philly), Internet is cheaper (free) and coffee is better elsewhere, but if you need a computer to look something up or love Le Bus's baked goods, I'd say go there. Took 2 years for them t get nutmeg for their cappuccino read more

I've been here twice in a week and both visits were great. Mocha latte and iced mocha were both good. Even more so than the coffee I enjoyed the location and hipster vibes. Cute! I'll keep coming back. read more

Weak dark coffee with bitter notes. Price point good if you factor a second cup for 1$ but can't you do better?

This is the best cafe in all of Cape May! I go here around 2-3 times a week to get a Frozen Hot Chocolate because it is so delicious! The owner is super nice as well as all the other employees! read more

Great coffee shop under new management in 2012. Stop by and relax with an excellent cup of coffee in a comfortable store and chat with the new owner. Also serving bagels, cakes and other goodies. We stop here whenever we are in the Cape May area. It's a nice place to stop and recharge. read more
