It was ok. Attentive service, very friendly staff. Good presentation of food. Food was decent just kind of bland, not super flavorful. Still new and might be working things out. Huge menu and that could be part of the problem as well. read more

We have been to Maggie McFly's twice now. The first time we sat at the bar and it was a good experience. Good service & good food. We enjoyed it! This second visit was this week and it was a very different experience. It smelled awful - like moldy dish cleaning towels in the whole restaurant. I wonder if because the "garage door window" was open our first visit it aired it out or if things have really gone downhill already. Our service was mediocre. The dishes were dirty. Everything seemed sticky. The problem with a larger menu is they don't clean all the pages. Who wants to pick out what they want to eat while prying sticky pages apart? Food was still delicious. Kids meal was a waste of money. $6 for a small side dish of macaroni and cheese. No side no kids drink to help with the $6 price tag. read more

Our family tried it here on Saturday. My husband was expecting a 50's diner like in Back to the Future. It wasn't but we were so impressed and loved it. We will be back. I had the French onion soup sandwich. Forgot the actual name. My husband got a chicken sandwich with the avacado and loved it. Our waitress was nice and kept my drink full. I will say it's difficult if you have a stroller as we had to be put near back so it wasn't in way of other customers or staff. read more

Went to grab a quick bite at Maggie McFlys the other day. Got seated right away and were pleasantly surprised with how nice the restaurant was inside. To our surprise the waitress was anything but. Brianna was super slow and seemed to rather talk to her coworkers than wait on us. A quick lunch turned into an 1hr and 30min waiting game to see if she would actually bring us our sub-par food to the table hot. We were able to see our appetizers sitting in the window ready for about 15min, then having to flag down the waitress because she brought them to the wrong table which added another 5min. Luckily a very nice gentleman named Chris saved the day and sped the process along quicker. He brought our food, our check, and made sure we were being taken care of. We didn't say anything to him but he knew and apologized for the inconvenience. I made sure to tip him because Ms. Brianna didn't seem too interested in getting us in and out‍ Appetizers were good I'd go back for them Don't even try ordering anything off the entree menu its practically like ready the Bible it's so big. With having that many options for food we should've known it was going to be anything but great read more

It is a neighborhood gem. I had been anticipating their opening, and when they opened their doors, I was so excited. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. Their food is so natural and delicious, and they have a very extensive menu. I still have not tried everything on the menu because it is so extensive. read more

Does Maggie McFly's Springfield have great food? Some folks say so...some other public reviews reflect that opinion. I wish I could tell you if the food is good OR bad...but after we waited TWENTY MINUTES after being seated in a booth with ZERO acknowledgement, with no less than FIVE DIFFERENT WAITERS passing (and a couple subsequently ignoring) us as a newly-seated party, we finally got up and quietly left. We passed the hostess on the way out who started to ask why we were leaving, but we silently brushed past her and kept on going -- which honestly, was the quality of treatment we received during our visit. This was a TUESDAY evening, June 18 -- and yes, Springfield Town Center's "Restaurant Row" is typically a hot mess on most evenings, but we didn't expect it would be so bad on a Monday or Tuesday night. Except, it WASN'T that bad...about two-thirds of Maggie's tables/booths were filled, but I wouldn't have termed the place "busy" -- just VERY POORLY managed, with apparently the most inept servers that could be found/hired in the Northern Virginia area. I've received rude treatment from servers in the past...but have never received the degree of cold shoulder in 40+ years of dining that I received from Maggie McFly's on this particular evening. Too bad for them that they'll never get a second chance to change my mind...I won't be back to this location, nor any other Maggie's location ever again. We voted with our feet...and you should, too, by walking right past Maggie's down to Zinburger, Chuy's, Yard House or Maggiano's, a bit further down Restaurant Row. Yeah, you might wait a bit longer, for food that may not be quite as good...but I'm pretty sure you won't be flat-out ignored in any of those other eateries, as you're very likely to be at Maggie's. Consider yourself warned. read more

The food was good but the service was not!. We had people who didnt get their food till others were almost done, we had wrong orders ( both food and drinks). I had to send my check back 3 times to get the right check and so that it reflected the happy hour prices. Will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone I know! read more

The outdoor patio is nice. But the restaurant seemed like it was in a soft opening yet has been operating for months: understaffed, long waits on food, drinks that never arrived in time. Our group noticed the huge menu tries too hard, much too diverse to do alot of dishes well: dim sum, tacos, pasta, steak, fish, bbq, quinoa and so on. All of our entrees seemed mediocre: goat cheese pizza dry as a cracker, salad bathed in dressing when asked to be on side, chicken that was dry, and fibrous fish (n chips). Trying to ohard to be so much to so many. Find a good niche. read more

I grew up in a Hispanic house hold so I'm used to flavorful food. That being said all I can say about this restaurant is the food is bland bland bland. I had horrible service and asked to see the manager (twice) and out of three managers on the floor I was still unable to speak to one which led me to contact corporate. Only thing they did was discount the item that was wrong. I wish them the best but I do see them out of business soon. read more

Food was not good. Turkey meal was poor. Dressing was not good. Potatoes had lumps. Only thing good was the corn. Fish and chips were not good. Fish was greasy and fries were not cooked done. Cooks did not have nets over their long hair. Service was even worse. Waitress did not check on us to see if we needed anything. Waitress acted like it was a chore to get additional items. Waitresses need customer service training. Will not be going back. Would rate less than one star, if I could. read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. NOT WORTH IT. GROSS AND DIRTY. I wish I could give a negative star. I ordered for an onion. The first time it came to the tabel the cheese undercooked so I requested that it be cooked a bit more well done. The second time the soup was brought out to me it was cold, yet the cheese was cooked. I then called the manager and explained the situation and asked him to pls take care of making sure the soup was prepared properly when returned to me. Well...I had no idea that the third time around came with a surprise. The manager brought the soup to me and it looked great and it appeared to be hot. I started to eat it and by the third spoon, I found a foreign object in the soup. Not only was I disgusted but extremely frustrated and upset as the rest of my family had now finished eating. I called the manager over and showed him the strange plastic object and he asked me "what is that?" and "where did that come from?" When I told him that it was in the soup, he laughed, and took it as if I was lying, making the whole thing up. He took the soup bowl and returned to tell me that the kitchen staff was in trng and that he would give me a $5.00 discount on it. Outrageous! I didn't want that, seriously, I wanted him to take it off the check (comp it). He flat out refused! The food is disgusting, overrated and overpriced, but it might come with a surprise. The staff lacks training in customer service, manners and professionalism to include the so called managers. read more

My first experience at Maggie Mcfly's was awesome!!! The food was exceptional and the waiters were so patient and helpful. Because my experience was so wonderful, I returned two days later to bring a friend!!!!! We were not disappointed. I love this place! My friend also loved this restaurant. read more

This is my new favorite restaurant at Springfield town center. Not only do they have outdoor seating, which is a huge plus, the level of service is wonderful. We continually come back because of the amazing food and service. Yesterday when we went to eat and grab some drinks we again had another wonderful server, Bethany. She continually checked on us throughout our time there to make sure we had what we needed. While we were there, Don, who is a manager stopped by to say hello. He remembered is us from our previous visits and ensured we had everything we needed and we were taken care of. I love Maggie McFlys and will continue to come back. I highly recommend this restaurant. I also want to give a huge shout out to Don for always making us feel welcome and to Bethany for taking care of us last night. read more

It was a very good experience and a nice environment. The food was excellent and I would not hesitate to go back.

Was not quite sure with such a big menu how things would taste - turns out, things are pretty average on the side of good. Slightly expensive but comes with the area. Server came out spilling my French onion soup all over the place and onto the table. Would try again. read more

This place was pretty good. The drinks were good and the food came out pretty quick. The menu was a little overwhelming

Brianna, Sidney, and Jackie are the best bartenders! Food and service is excellent! Did a few appetizers at the bar, which were all excellent. On previous visits, we did dinner which was all very good and started our regular visits. I would recommend! read more

First I would like to say that the food is great. I would strongly suggest not to sit at the bar thought. Some of there bartenders staff have very poor customer service. read more

We have had dinner there twice the last month. The service is slow, our entrees come out at different times. My first visit was good except for the slow service. Second visit, very disappointed in the entrees. I had the teriyaki bowl, there were very few over cooked vegetables, not at all like the description in the menu. The side salads were very small iceberg lettuce w a few croutons. They charged 5.99! One of my dinner partners said her chicken entree was not as good as it was the first time. I believe the restaurant needs to iron out the kinks. I will not return for awhile, I might try it again in 6 months to see if there is any improvement. read more

Just enjoyed my second meal at Maggie's and am now writing my first review. What a great restaurant - great ambience, an extensive menu with something for everyone, very attentive staff, and superb food. The service was attentive and even though the restaurant was fairly crowded, the food was delivered quickly. The food was as amazing as it was on our first visit; onion rings as a starter, Fettuccine Alfredo with blackened chicken for me and Cheese Tortellini with grilled chicken for my wife. With this much going for it - along with a super convenient location, we will definitely be returning soon! read more

We were sat right away but after that it went down hill. The problem is the food. First the appetizers and entrees were provided out of order. We ordered the poke stack. The crab cakes, and the tacos. I do not know how you have a name of poke stack when it is one layer poke on a top cole slaw to deceive you. I asked the waitress if the crab cakes were breaded and she said no not that much and you will definitely enjoy them. If you love crab flavored bread crumbs then this is your dish. Lastly the tacos. It was all cabbage in a tortilla with a thin layer of meat. The rice that came with the tacos was very bland. The peas in the rice had more flavor then the rice. On top of all that the prices are very high for what they offer. I reccomend choosing a better place for the cost. read more

Menu is huge. Waitress in bar area booth had no reommentions, didn't ask us if we had any menus questions. Drinks came out sloowwww. Had to ask twice to change TV's from commerical stations. All TVs in bar was same station.. finally got some sports. The flavored tea was just ok.. for over priced 4.50. beers good selection. The fries with aoli are very good. Asked for blackened chicken on dish, didn't get blackened and had to ask to have bill adjusted. So, it can be good. But it's the little things. No enthusiasm regarding helping choose from a cheesecake factory sized menu. read more

I don't know which I enjoyed more, the food or the service. Both were excellent. I went on a cold rainy evening and ordered the Pot Roast. It was excellent and just what I needed for that weather. The lunch combos are great and the selections are numerous. I took a large group of my friends and they all agreed with me. We will be back. read more

I wanted to give this place better but I have to go on this experience. Wednesday night and no problem getting a table. Took an exceedingly long time to get drunk order in and then drinks. Even with a margin of error for busy, it was still long. For some reason, they tried to seat a group of 10 at the six-top next to us. Rather than be crowded out, we moved over a table. Again, forever placing food order. Food was good. I had the Cuban and my wife had the turkey platter with sautéd spinach. Pulled pork was a tad dry but still a solid effort. Turkey platter was good. Had to wave down for water refills, get the check and actually took the check to the server. So, food was good. Not amazing but good. Service was slow and frustrating. Friendly but not good. Who charges $7 for a cupcake? That's crazy town. read more

I really like the restaurant and enjoyed myself. There were lots of options to choose from and try. The server was nice too.

Expensive mediocre food served cold with slow service. Although the restaurant has a beautiful layout and can take large parties, when it came to the service my family was disappointed. Not only did our food take forever to come, it came cold. If you do have the time and stop by I recommend the grilled salmon with red quinoa rice or the nyc steak. I understand this restaurant is new and getting settled down and hope they only improve overtime. read more

We have had lunch at Maggie's 3 times since the Springfield site opened a couple of weeks ago. This is an offspring of a well-known group in Connecticut. It is just a great place for informal dining. The menu is extensive and comprehensive -- must be 20 pages long. Something for everybody. The service was attentive. The food was delivered quickly, even though evidently word-of-mouth publicity about the new restaurant was working -- there were a large number of diners. Today we had soup and sandwich (her) and fish and chips (me) -- both were generously-portioned and delicious. We will definitely return. read more

I had came in again and yes I was more impressed then the first time. The hostess was so nice and kind. The one who was in the front was so delightful even though she was running everywhere. She had took the time to walk my friend and I to the table and even was patient on waiting for us to sit. Our server was AMAZING I forgot how to spell her name but I think you spell it like (moonie.) sorry if I spelled it wrong. She is such a sweet and loving server. She was so kind and patient with us. She treated us like it was our first time here which is not. So thank you especially during a busy night like Sunday! Maggie McFly's I see BIG potential and will be coming back! read more

Fantastic food and drinks. Our waiter, Winslow, was fantastic and we wish he could stay.

This place was beyond disappointing. On a holiday weekend they didn't have ANY chilled bottles of white wine. We opted for a glass which was given to us as a complimentary drink. The food was tasteless and we didn't finish it. How you can mess up a side order of bread sticks is beyond me. The men's restroom was filthy- which coming from a guy you know it must've been bad! It also makes me wonder about the state of the kitchen. When we informed the Manager that we wouldn't be staying for the bottle of wine (that had been put in the chiller) while he was very apologetic, I watched him inform our server, who eye rolled then spotted me watching her and gave me a fake smile. Having worked in many bars and restaurants over the years, I simply can't understand how on a sunny, holiday weekend why you wouldn't have the white wine in the chiller. And for the number of employees who were just standing doing nothing, one of them should've checked the restrooms. Needless to say we won't be returning or recommending it. read more

Spent about $150 on a meal for two only to be told around 9:30pm that our server was leaving and can we settle up. She said we would have another server take over once she leaves. So we settle up and no one shows up at all and just after ten pm I go inside to ask if the place is closed. Majority of the staff are sat eating Chipotle sat down by the bar. Remaining two tables outside with us are sat with empty glasses and wondering what is going on. One table bangs on the window to get someone to bring them their check. Sad state of affairs at such an expensive place. Food is ok but service was shocking. Went to Chuy's and Maggianos the days leading up to tonight and for a lot less money you get much better service and food. I mean if the majority of the staff are eating Chipotle at 10pm on a Saturday while their clients sit outside with empty glasses it tells you something. Won't be going back and I recommend you go to the neighboring restaurants for value and service. read more

I was thoroughly disappointed with this restaurant. After a 45 min wait (liked the text service), we were shown to a table that patrons from the bar had taken over... back to waiting for another 15 minutes in lobby. (By the way this happened twice to tables next to us during dinner where bar patrons just took tables and guests waiting weren't able to be seated...) Then ordered Sangria flight and fried pickles to start. Sangria is more than putting a piece of fruit in a glass of wine - none of them tasted like sangria or good wine. The pickles lacked seasoning and had calamari pieces mixed in... thank goodness I am not allergic to calamari... dinner did not go well either: my husband picked three tacos but what he got was not the ones he ordered and my southern fried chicken was bland. Bacon mac and cheese has very little flavor other than the bacon pieces. Server tried hard (only reason for 2 stars) but seriously disappointing for the cost of eating here. Won't go back... read more

Late review - My family went here on my birthday last March 20. If you want a hundred page menu, you come here! I ordered the Paella and ended up returning it. It was basically mexican rice and they poured over salsa sauce. It was pretty disgusting so I returned it. Then I ordered the ahi tuna and camarones tacos. Taco is pretty simple dish, I said Maggie McFly's can't ruin this. But they did! The flavor and the beauty of the ahi tuna was destroyed because it had so much sauce poured into it. And the camarones was overcooked. I didn't eat the tacos, so much food and money wasted. I was disappointed and hungry on my birthday. I will not be back here until this place can shape up. It needs to tailor down on the menu and focus on the best dishes it can offer. Instead of a 100-page menu, perhaps bring it down to 10. And tone it down on the lighting. The restaurant was so bright that I can see it from 395 freeway! It's not a good ambiance when everything is lit up. Lastly, the wait staff should be trained and must know the products. They need to be able to make recommendations from the 100-page menu because it's truly overwhelming. read more

First time going here. Went with 2 friends. Ordered the cheese platter for our appetizer and was told they were out. I ordered the seafood bake or whatever it's called. 4 out of my 5 clams weren't opened so I couldn't eat them. I flagged down our waitress and she offered to replace the clams which she did. The octopus was a little chewy so I think it was a little over cooked. My friend ordered the burger with blue cheese on it. He said it was really good. Other friend ordered the veggie burger on a lettuce wrap. Right before our meals come out they inform my friend that they are out of veggie burgers; don't know why they couldn't have informed her sooner. So the manager offers her a salad while she decides what she wants. So she just has the salad. We all order desserts. One friend has the gluten free cake which she said was good. Other friend had the cinnamon roll cheesecake which he said was good. I had the apple crisp which was delicious. It was weird though that the brought our bill before the dessert came out. Checked the bill and they charged us for the veggie burger even though we never got it. Informed them and they took it off. Might come back again to see if they change so we'll see. read more

This is really a 31/2 star review. The place is beautiful. The menu is massive! If you can't find something to eat here, you're already full. My server was Sara and she was very friendly and attentive. Hard to find people this upbeat and outgoing in the service industry these days. I started with the mussel appetizer. They were large and the quality was good. Unfortunately they were poorly prepared. They had so much sand that it totally ruined what would have been a great starter. Nice sauce. Sara asked how they were. I told her. She apologized and said she would make the manager aware of the problem. Next the tacos. I had a fish, a pork and a shrimp. They were excellent. I will be back to try it again but won't do the mussel app if that's the best they can do. The manager never followed up even though he walked by my table several times throughout the rest of my meal. So all in all the service was great. The food hit or miss. Bon appetit!! read more

Came in Sunday night for my very first time and it was overall a great experience. For being it open for only a couple of months now I was very surprised. Let's just start off with the obvious. They have a HUGE Textbook for a menu. At first I was hesitant but, when I went through it they actually had some really nice options such as the chicken and waffles, fried Mac and cheese, tacos, pastas, and etc. There was so many options for everyone. Also, it's locally source!!!!! Who would have knew. Anyways, when we walked in the hostess at the door was polite, nice, and had lots of energy. Don't see them as often. Our server was Fenan and he was amazing amazing. I notice what he said to us in the beginning he had also said it to his other tables. He said he's new but, I wouldn't have even guessed. The food was phenomenal however the drinks were okay. Maybe some small tweaks but that's all. Other than that my experience was great. I will be surely to be back. read more
