Mid space inside with good amount of tables. They are open Ina afternoon but with limited happy hour menu. Service was good server was helpful in making decsion. This is review of their veg northindian food out of 5. Will come back to try their south indian food. Mango lassi - 3 - not overly sweet which is good but was not cold enough decision. Malaria paraphrase- 4.5 - good in taste but small in size Gobi 555 - 3.5 - its goby 65 in light curry. Would just prefer dry version curry was not bad but did not mix well together Special egg dish - 5 Egg Chitnanad curry - 4 - good flavour and taste Paneer kadai - 2.5 - not gravy I was expecting and paneer texture was not great for my taste. read more

Ordered delivery - chicken tikka spicy- a was good and spicy! - Andra chicken - my husband liked this only and it was spicy - dosa (this wasn't that bad, pretty sure it would be better fresh out) Will definitely be ordering from here again! read more

Really good South Indian food. The parottas (a lot like lachha parathas) are a really good must try. Chicken curry was spicy, tasty and authentic. Made channa masala for the kids even though it wasn't typically available during happy hour. Music was a little loud for my taste. Menu was a bit confusing and only available online. But quality of food made up for it. read more

Very clean. Nice music, playing. Really cute pictures on the walls. Lots of descriptions. Gorgeous pictures of the food. Comfortable casual, delicious. Decent prices. Good location read more

- Overall, the place is clean and pleasant, with good parking available. - The food was decent, but it felt overpriced for the portion sizes. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian, and it was served on only half of a large plate with no additional sides. It was confusing why such large plates were used when the quantity served made it look like part of the dish was missing. - The service was inconsistent. Some staff members were attentive, but the person who took our order often had to be called over whenever we needed something. Our starters were also served without plates for everyone at the table, and this went unnoticed until we pointed it out. - Lastly, the buffet seemed quite expensive for what was offered. read more

We were charged $19 for two parottas and some watery salan with a single piece of mutton that was so small you'd need a fishing rod to find it. To make matters worse, white rice wasn't even included. There were five people in the restaurant and yet he said he is out of beer glasses and gave plastic cups instead. When I brought this up with the manager, he claimed he asked me about the mutton sukka four times before taking the order. Trust me, he didn't ask once. When I tried to resolve it, he rudely told me my only option was to order a whole new $35+ portion of Mutton Sukka, then completely walked away mid-conversation. He processed the bill on a Toast handheld device and made me sign it without ever showing me an itemized breakdown. I had to take his word for it. We ended up paying $65 for two parottas, a little salan, and one fish curry. Terrible service, tiny portions, and dishonest practices. Do yourself a favor and skip this place--check out Cuisine of India instead. They have an incredible lunch buffet for $19, the food is amazing, and the staff actually treats you with respect. read more

Came back during another visit to Naperville. This time I tried the chicken biryani, it was a bit spicy was but definitely delicious. The yogurt sauce was a nice touch. The service today was a bit slower and less attentive despite the restaurant being nearly empty and being there super early for dinner. I would return as everything was super fresh and tasted great again. I would urge them to check on tables more frequently and be sure to check on spice levels of every dish during the ordering process. read more

It was suggested that you scan and get the menu, but then it never did load. We asked for physical menus, which they provided. It was still very confusing with very poor descriptions on the food items. They did not know if the food we ordered was available. It was all very confusing. The dishes did not come with rice so we had to order a side of rice which was flavorless. The naan was not fresh. I had tiki chicken. It actually was well seasoned and very good. My wife ordered a goat dish, which did not seem to be that fresh to be honest. the gravy or sauce that came with it was hardly warm. Overall, we cannot recommend it. It seemed like a cool place with a good vibe, but the food just not good enough Quality to return. read more

We were craving some authentic South Indian food and when I saw Madhurai Kitchen on my IG feed, I knew I had to try it! It's such a cute spot with such beautiful decor inside! They use traditional steel plates and utensils for serving and eating, which is unlike most Indian restaurants I've been to! The service was super fast and we were in and out in less than an hour! We ended up getting vegetable korma with porotha, Vada, and podi idli. You guys, everything was absolutely delicious and tasted like I was sitting at a restaurant in India! The Vada and Idli were perfectly cooked and the side of sambar and coconut chutney paired so perfectly with both. The vegetable korma and porotha was so yummy! The korma was spicy and had a coconut taste and the porotha was so crispy and chewy yet soft at the same time! The flavor is truly unbeatable, I don't think I've tasted better South Indian food anywhere compared to this place! I will say that the portion sizes are a bit small for the prices that you pay, but again - the food is unreal and I would still come back if I was craving South Indian food! 10/10 highly recommend! read more

It is rare, close to never, that I will visit a desi restaurant twice in one week - Madurai Kitchen has somehow managed to draw me back within the week. It's not somehow, actually, I know exactly how. From their absolutely delicious food, to their prompt and sweet service, to the ambiance - everything at Madurai Kitchen is top notch. Let's start with the food. These are the things I've tried in my two visits: The Veg Thaali - I mention this first because this is the item that we specifically came back for. It's very rare that EVERY item of a Thaali is delicious, and this Thaali happens to manage it! From the Kathrikai (eggplant) to the Rasam (omg, the tart goodness is to die for!) to the Veg Kuruma, each item is scrumptious and finger licking! We had Halwa one day and Payasam the next time and both desserts were delicious! The Thaali comes with chapaati which was delicious but the next time we ordered the Thaali with Parotta, just because it was so good... Which brings me to the Parotta: the Parotta is a layered, flaky bread that is so good it can literally be eaten on its own. Its flaky layers pair well with any curry, but this would be great dipped in just milk or tea. We kept ordering additional pieces of Parotta because it was just too good! Parotta/Chicken Chukka/Chicken Salna Combo: we already know the Parotta is amazing, however, the chicken chukka was exceptional. Spicy, flavorful with subtle notes of curry leaves. The chicken salna is very comforting and feels like it's made by a Nani or Dadi in a home kitchen. Mutton Chukka - we ordered this on the second visit, since we loved the chicken chukka so much. This was, again, exceptional. The meat is just melt in your mouth, and succulent, and incredibly flavorful and spicy! Andhra Goat Curry - the goat curry is delicious, but not my favorite. Prawn Masala - this was also more tomato based than I like, but the prawns were cooked well and not rubbery. Pretty darn good, especially paired with warm white rice! MK Special Tiffin - the idli was perfect, not overly spongy, and not overly dense. The sambar was delicious. The medhu vada was the STAR, along with the DOSA. The dosa was incredibly crisp and fermented perfectly. The Ghee Pongal was buttery and delicious. Lastly, the star of the show, the Lime Soda (Salt) - this beverage can be made seeet or salt or even with added masala! We went for the salty version of this, and my God, this was a flavor explosion! I ordered it the first time, then the second, and then one to go! Yeah, it's THAT tangy, tart, citrus-y, and and refreshing! Now to come to the ambiance and service. The first time we went there were a few people in there, but when we went Friday night, it was PACKED! Absolutely packed! Clearly the news of excellent food and service have reached far and wide - the power of word of mouth! The servers are young girls running around and doing their absolute best - from explaining the menu items to getting the items to the tables in a timely manner. Our server, the first time, was Liya who patiently answered all our questions and made great suggestions. She was clearly very adept at her job, and very accommodating. The next time we had Meghna, and I tell you this girl (and Liya) were just powering through the entire restaurant and ensuring everyone got their food on time. Both girls were exceptionally sweet, soft spoken, courteous and polite. I definitely had to send a shout out to both of them! read more

This is the third South Indian restaurant we tried in Naperville and Warrenville area and we were surprised to find that there weren't that many people at this place. We arrived around 6 pm on a weeknight and it was drafty! We were so cold. There are no paper menus and we ordered through their app. We tried the MK Special Tiffin with idli, vada, ghee Pongal, masala dosa, and dessert which was gulab jamun. It was good. The chutney had a little acidic after taste. The thaali had a small banana leaf on the bottom which was a nice touch. Our waiter was nice and asked us periodically if we wanted anything. When we were checking out and wanted to split the bill, they made it easy for us and didn't charge is extra for that. There are interesting images and stories posted around the restaurant, definitely cool to learn a little bit more about Indian culture. read more

Fantastic place for authentic Tamil Nadu style cuisine. I would recommend coming on weekends for their thalapakati biryani but they also have other amazing items like their chicken 65 and Porotta dishes. Service was also amazing and speedy. Everyone was really friendly. 10/10 place! read more

We had butter chicken and palak paneer for lunch, it was good! Tried this place over dinner with my husband. We started with Lime Soda and Coke. For appetizers, we had Madurai Chicken 65. Then we ordered Combo plate of Vada, Idli, Ghee Pongal and Masala Dosa. My husband tried the Goat Biryani. The food was delicious and flavorful with being spicy. Our server Meghna was super sweet, warm and attentive. The ambiance is great with all the modern furniture and decor. The place is super clean as well. There is plenty of parking outside the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this place! MUST TRY!! We visited this restaurant on a Saturday for lunch. It's pretty spacious in a great location that has a friendly service. We ordered the Onion Rava Dosa, which was nice and crispy, with delicious chutneys and sambhar. The Parotta-Chicken Chukka-Chicken Salna combo platter was a mixed experience--the Chicken Chukka, a dry chicken entrée, was tasty, but the Chicken Salna gravy was diluted and lacked flavor. Service was way too slow, and the overall taste could be better. read more

The paneer was amazing. The service was quick and great. Place was also clean. The lights are antlers which I thought was super cool.

Good Food and flavorful., Good Service, Decent Ambience. Will visit this restaurant again.

I really love this place and food. I saw multiple bad reviews about servings .... Please guys...lot of young South Indians working first time as servers with advanced degrees. Give them a break. I really miss South Indian food that too with authentic Madurai taste.... Yummy . I lived in US for very long and finally someone is taking an initiative to make our authentic Madurai food which is very close to my heart. By giving bad reviews you will discourage them to do yummy food. Team, thank you for such a wonderful tasty food read more

We thought we would try a new place today for lunch. Madurai has a very large menu, although it needs some adjustments. Some of the items on the menu are only available on the weekends, and others offer a choice of how hot you would like the spice, but it only comes one way. We ordered a fee entrees and appetizers, and they all came out at different times. It was a very odd pace. The samosa was very good, and I loved the chutney. Two of us ordered mango drinks. When our third arrived late, she ordered one as well, but they "ran out." The Gobi 65 was also delicious. We also tried the Veg korma,Bathura ,Paratha, and cheese Dosa . All were very tasty. The Paneer tikki skewers came out last. They did not look like the pictures. They were not on a skewer. They did not come with the chili mayo dipping sauce. I asked for the sauce, and it was "out of stock ". Our server was very nice, but did not clear dishes as needed or bring any extra napkins. The whole lunch seemed very disheveled, as we were waiting over an hour for our last two dishes, the paneer and chicken tandoori to arrive. I would give more stars to the actual flavor of the food, but having to ask for the sides and the eternal wait for every dish kind of ruined the experience. I will give them another try in a few months after they have some time to get their act together. Apparently, they have a buffet on the weekends also! read more

First impression when we came in was the clean, modern appearance. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala which had a good sized bowl for both the rice and dark & white chicken Tika masala. The sauce was very good with flavorful spices. We also ordered the garlic Naan followed by a cheese Naan. We had some communication problem on the cheese Naan so the new waitress switched with the bartender who thought they did not have it,, but my wife showed him the item on the menu. Well we got the cheese Nann but it did not have the flavor of cheese. The lime soda was very refreshing. They serve vegetarian dishes & have a bar for mixed drinks & beer on tap. Waitress & bartender were friendly. read more

As we walked in we were directed to a table that had old food on the ground. No one ever came to our table to greet us or take our orders. I had to hail a waiter over to take our food. We had to ask for water twice to even get a pitcher and we had to ask to get glasses to drink the water. The food was mediocre for the price. The vegetarian Aloo Gobi was extremely salty. The place is a complete mess with tables not being cleared out when patrons leave. If their dining floor is kept this messy can you just imagine the kitchen cleanliness. The customer service is horrible as well. Would not recommend this place. I would recommend A2B a couple minutes away to anyone wanting to try Indian food. read more

Our favorite Indian restaurant in the area! Love both the South and North Indian dishes, great variety!

I ordered a samosa chaat today and tried to call the restaurant to request no chutney/yogurt since there was no option to mention this in the order. Unfortunately, the staff member who answered was very rude, asking 'what do you want' and then abruptly ending the call after I explained my concern. This is not the way to treat customers. A polite response and willingness to listen would have made a big difference. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves customer service read more

It was delicious for a buffet. The food is really authentic and fresh. Soups, chicken and Naan are great.

Food was pretty good but the service was odd as food came out at random times. Definitely ask about the spice level!

Great food and attentive service. They have a wide choice of items across regions of India.

Overpriced and felt a bit deceiving as many of their dishes are served in double walled utensils so they look much bigger than the quantity of food actually inside. Food was decent, but not worth the prices and quantity. The South Indian restaurant across the main road (which is equally pricey) has better quality food read more

Excellent food and service . Ate thali veg and no veg . Mutton was good . The servers were courteous and fun loving

I visited the restaurant in Warrenville today for dinner with few friends.. the food was horrible, the Gobi appetizer dish was soggy and tasteless, the vegetable korma was watery as soup, teh talpakattu biryanis was the worst I tasted, teh mutton was boiled , over cooked and added to the rice, which was smelling raw.. overall had a bad experiance. Will not recommend this horrible place. read more
