As a native Peruvian this bakery is amazing! If you aren't Peruvian I urge you to try this place. It will be a new experience and the food, pastries and desserts are very good. The alfajores are some of the best I've ever had, the Lucuma cheesecake is amazing, the Peruvian crème buler and piononos are also very good. I also recommend to try their papa rellenas and empanadas. This fairly priced bakery is authentic , delicious and a new experienced for someone who has never tried any Peruvian culinary. Para todos los peruanos que viven en Chicago, esta panadería peruana vale la pena y la manejada. Le he comprado postres a muchas personas en Chicago pero ninguna persona haces los postres como Fabiola. Sinceramente la mejor y la manejada vale la pena.

The matcha flavor was excellent rich, smooth, and consistent from start to finish. It's the kind of drink you can enjoy at your own pace without the flavor fading The staff was very friendly and attentive. One of the employees appeared to be in training, but the service was still great overall. In addition to their drinks, they also offer a selection of food items on the menu, which is a nice option if you're looking for a snack or light bite. The location has convenient parking and a drive-thru as well.

Ten minutes later, as I'm driving past the drive thru windows to park and go in, I notice both windows were covered entirely on the inside with paper. When I greeted the barista inside and inquired about the drive thru, I was assured the drive thru was open. No explanation was offered as to why there was no response to my presence in the drive thru lane. SERVICE (inside): I ordered a Bloom & Buzz (hot) latte. There was a four top of guests already seated and waiting for their order when I paid for mine. 20 minutes later, with the four top now served, the barista picked up a plastic cup and proceeded to make an iced coffee drink. Upon completing the process, she took the cup and walked out of my direct line of sight, standing behind a pole with only her hair visible to me. After standing there for a minute or so, she returned to the counter and started to address me. I approached the counter to better hear what she was saying. She explained that she was unable to make my hot latte because the hot coffee machine was down. When I pointed out that she had just served three of the four customers ahead of me a hot coffee, she said, "yeah, but those took hot water.". She went on to ask if it was okay if she made me an iced latte instead. Having already waited more than 20 minutes inside at this point, I said that was fine. She then reached to her side (where she'd previously hid), grabbed the iced coffee I'd watched her make before the claims of the broken machine and handed it to me. Instead of owning the fact that she'd mistakenly made an iced latte instead of the hot one I'd ordered, she'd chosen to cover what was an innocent mistake with a lie. I told her as much and left. AMBIANCE: This is a darling little cafe. If the service hadn't been so atr, I'd have enjoyed drinking my coffee there. COFFEE: Way too sweet for my liking. If I were to go back, which I won't, I'd order my next one half-sweet.

I've been a longtime fan of Area 51 Cupcakery, so naturally, I trusted them with one of the most…read moreimportant desserts I've ever ordered -- a custom cake for my brother's first-ever surprise 50th birthday party. Two weeks before the event, I came in person with a printed cake design, a clear color theme (green, cream, and white), and a macaron accent order to go with it. I was flexible on the design details, just committed to the vision. On the day of pickup, I arrived a little late -- my fault -- but there was no cake waiting, and my order couldn't be found. Hannah behind the counter did her best, and when owner Robert walked in, I calmly explained everything from the start. I won't lie -- I was heartbroken more than angry. This was a big night. What happened next is why I'm writing this review. Robert and his team didn't hesitate. They snapped a photo of the design from my phone, asked every detail, and promised to make it right -- with Robert personally delivering the cake to the venue (thankfully just 5 minutes away). And he did. He showed up with the cake designer in tow and delivered something truly stunning: a handsome, elegant cake that fit the theme perfectly and genuinely wowed my brother and guests. And the flavor? Their Atomic. Banana (pudding), strawberries (jam), and chocolate, vanilla & banana cake. YUM! It was incredibly moist and delicious. What could have been a devastating hiccup for such a milestone night became one of the most memorable parts of the celebration. That's a testament to Robert and his team's character, dedication, and craft. Thank you, Area 51 Cupcakery. We've loved your cupcakes from day one, and this experience only deepened our loyalty. We'll always come back.

Yuuuup, I'll be here on a monthly basis. They also have a punch card system. Every 12 cupcakes will get you 1 cupcake for free. The inside is super cool, there are numerous spots for photo ops and they even have a ring light and camera holder if interested in using it. My first time visiting I tried the following cupcakes: chai pumpkin latte (daily special and DANGGGG DELICIOUS), Almond wedding (my least favorite but still good, I think almond cupcakes just aren't for me), cookies and cream (divine, rich, 2nd favorite), and the Boston cream (also 2nd favorite lol). All of the cupcakes were moist, fluffy, and full of flavor. They are made daily and you can feel and taste the love. Area 51 is definitely my favorite cupcake spot of all time. I've gone to Area 51 probably every week since finding em and I can't get enough. They also made cupcakes for my baby's gender reveal. They were extremely accommodating and everything turned out perfect! I highly recommend them for custom cakes, cupcakes, or even just grabbing 1 of their daily made cupcakes. SOOO GOOD!

Those items are a bit pricier than the rest but they are quite unique. The cruffins are flakey, sugary without being overwhelming, creamy but subtle, and very satisfying. I have a strong sweet tooth and I am greedy. So I generally like to try more than one item in one sitting. These portions are not small and I would recommend sharing if you want to try a variety. I have monthly appointments in the general area and I try to plan it so that I will have enough time before or after my appointment to make a quick stop at Fiene's. My visits are usually during the week and I would be in and out within 10 minutes.

I love that the amount of sweetened condensed milk was just right where the coffee didn't end up being too sweet. I do want to point out that the drink didn't seem like the strongest coffee around, and the taste closer resembled tea with a little milk added. I should have gone to the Vietnamese coffee the cashier offered! I also tried a piece of their sour cream coffee cake. Warmed wonderfully, and with just the right amount of sweetness, crispness, and just a little tang from the sour cream. This was terrific, and something I would absolutely get again. The vibe is classic with lots of wood, and plenty of comfortable seating. However, if you choose to take advantage of their WiFi, you are asked to buy a drink first, and then every 30 minutes after an hour. I understand where this comes from, and it serves as a deterrent from someone buying one drink and spending a working day in here. However, it also makes Sweetwaters seem like less of a spot to chill and catch up on Yelp reviews (for e.g.,), as I'd have to set a stopwatch to not break the rules. Final verdict: while the Dragon Eye could've had some coffee flavors, the coffee cake helped bring the experience up. While the vibe is classic, don't expect to sit and work without keeping the drinks coming.

After finally locating our box, we discovered it only contained croissants with bacon and ham. We explained that one person in our group cannot eat pork and asked if there was any possibility of exchanging an item, especially since every other stop on the AmazeCo experience was accommodating of dietary restrictions. The response we received was simply, "That sucks," with no attempt to help or offer an alternative. The lack of customer service and professionalism really left a bad impression, especially considering the positive experiences we had everywhere else that day.

I also did not see a sign for how much their donuts are. I stopped in on a Saturday around 830am and it was BUSY. A couple came in to pick up their custom made wedding cake while others were there for a Saturday sweet treat. Staff members were friendly and on top of their game. I got 2 donuts, Boston cream and maple pecan. Both were delicious and fresh. The Boston cream donut is a show stopper. It was thicccck and filled with a generous amount of custard. The dough was fluffy and the chocolate on top was not overly sweet.
