Drop everything you're doing and come here! My brother took me here and I'm not crazy about Elotes specifically the mayonnaise, but these elotes are top notch. So delicious! You can either get a traditional elote that comes on a stick or you can get your elote in a cup, I chose to get the cup. It was so good, I couldn't even taste the mayo. I also got their nachos. I only got Doritos with melted cheese but I'm pretty sure you can add extra toppings! Even though my nachos were plain they were so good. Especially the melted cheese. It tasted so high quality, much different from your standard melted cheese. If you don't come here for anything else come here for the horchata. They have so many different flavors. Original, mango, strawberry, the list goes on! I got the pina colada- my absolute favorite drink. It was incredible, they even threw in a few cherries. Everything filled me up. I felt like I ate a 3 course meal. I was stuffed, in the best way possible! I definitely have to come back for the banana split, I saw someone order it and I was practically gawking at it when it came out! The menu is vast and you have plenty of options. It's not really a place where you can sit and eat it's more of like a grab and go. Everyone was super friendly. I will definitely be back for more. read more

4 stars. It's a small local business located on the east side of Aurora in a residential area with narrow street parking. They serve a mean Elote. They have 3 sizes small, medium, and large. It was really good. A had the small Mexican corn with everything (mayo lime, butter, cheese, and chili powder. We also had a Mangonada, which is a mixed fruit salad that can come with your choice of ice cream or not, with chamoy, and I asked for a tamarind chili stick. It was yummy. They also serve nachos, ice cream, and other fast snacks. They have alot of workers there. read more

This place seems to be quite popular judging by the long line. The elotes comes in 3 different sizes and either on the cob or off. The large is about $4. The elotes is pretty good and is loaded with mayo and cheese, but gets watery at the bottom since they don't really drain the corn before putting it in the cup (for the off the cob version). They also have something called Mangonada, which is mango flavored smoothie, spicy tamarind syrup with mango on top. It's quite tasty, but I can only drink so much because it's very rich. It comes in 3 sizes. The large is about $5. I didn't see a price list anywhere, but they had signs for ice cream, nachos, burritos, tortas, hamburger, fries, nuggets and wings. I believe they're cash only since I didn't see anyone pay with a credit card and there's an ATM machine inside. Parking might be hard to find if it's busy, but there are a few spots on the side and the rest on the street. Referred to by a friend, my friends and I came by one night due to goose hunt for a group meeting we were trying to find. We gave up and decided to celebrate failure in spirit of elotes. Following my friends because I still don't know my way around Aurora, I noticed that the streets were getting darker and much harder to see the signs. Eventually there were a light at the end of the corner, big and bright! I didn't see a banner or sign stating their name, but then again it was pretty dark out. My friends and I walked in and saw a single bright room with merchandise along the perimeter. There's no seating either outside or inside. Along the walls showcased their baked goods, ice cream, fruits, and some foods such as wings and Cheetos con queso. That night I was a mission to try their elotes. The servings come in 3 sizes. I tested out my Spanish and ordered a small with the works. Growing up in a Spanish household, I knew this kind of elotes would hit home and it sure did!! For a size small, roughly 10-12 oz, only being $2.75, I went back and bought a second one! Overall, I highly recommend Elotes Gomez for authentic Spanish food. read more

So I'm convinced that they must sprinkle some kind of fairy dust in their elotes that makes them so addicting. Only downside is that they only accept cash so make sure to bring some, otherwise they do have an ATM onsite. We always ask for ours with no juice and extra cheese and it's perfect every single time. If you're looking for your elote spot, I promise once you try them here, you wont want to go anywhere else. Ola! Como esta! So i was driving around between meetings and see this place across a beautiful church on a raised structure, like the only way to enter is through a ramp. By the time I parked 5 car lengths down, the line had reached the door. I walk in and it was like a busy street in Morocco well not quite but you get the drift. So I go live on facebook and people start telling me what to get and 'how' to get it. I walk out with 2 large 'elotes' which were amazing. I have only had elotes in chicago before from a city peddler and a couple of places in Aurora. This place blew them all off the face off the galaxy. Better quality cheese I think is the biggest difference. I also had a fresa con crema with granola. This is very sweet but the strawberries were quite tart. The first half of that was very enjoyable. I couldn't get the mangonada this time. But this place is less than a 10 minute drive from my house so I might be back today! Come to Aurora try them. I know one place isn't enough for you to leave the comforts of your corners but there are plenty of places to discover. read more

Seems all the rave was from way back. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for elotes! I got several cups and all of them were filled with water... they use canned corn and all the water that comes with it ... ugh disgusting! I was always a big fan of this place and remember them when they started at the Diaz store in Aurora. I was a loyal customer until just recently I had the worst experience that cost them my business. They have done what typical businesses do. They started cutting corners and the prices onto us to increase. The sweetness of the corn is gone, the cheese is different the overall product has been ruined. Very disappointed to see this happen as they were once very well known for their corn. Hopefully they can adjust quickly and serve the quality product that made them who they are. As for now they have lost our business. read more

Damn I love this place! Despite the fact that they don't take cash and have a very limited vegetarian selection, I just can't help but somehow end up stuffed whenever I stop by here! This little shop is located across from St. Nicholas Church in Atown, kind of tucked away in a neighborhood on the near East side of downtown Aurora. I always go here with girls from my work during lunch, and have tried a lot of things..they make these awesome deserts called either mangolada or mangolasa..idk. Typically they're made with mango sorbet but last time I tried one of these with the strawberry, and it was amazingly refreshing. In the summer they offer a selection of aqua frescas, served out of giant glass drums. I've had the pina, watermelon and strawberry and never been disappointed, although pina was my favorite!! I usually get elotes as well, which come in several sizes ranging from little baby cups to cups the size of a typical medium drink. Basically, it's a cup of corn with all the fixings, mayo, cheese, chile...mmm..so good!! The people working there are really nice as well. The other things I've tried here include nachos and a torta de frijoles. The torta was good, although kind of falling apart when I got back to work. I like the pan a little more crunchy and thick but it's still delicious. They pack the bread with onions, tomato, avocado, crema y mas. The nachos were a little soupy (too much cheese) and weren't packed with as many ingredients as places like Jalisco or Taqueria El Tio. They also offer a large selection of Mexican treats such as chips, candy, and breads. My favorite things here are definitely the cold treats and the elotes but I doubt you'd be disappointed in any selection you make here. read more
