Chill place literally in Aurora. It has a lot of Mexican cool treats as well as hot eats. Los Mangos has a few locations in the suburbs including this one with a pretty good amount of stuff. Has a crap ton of stuff to get. The paletas are pretty much like popsicles. Because it was lunch we only got a few. It's got a lot of exotic flavors to choose, and we were again unsure what to order. The children like to take over the place, it seems. Honestly it can get pretty crazy. There's lots of the Mexican favorites, including many that are popular among those with authentic tastes. It's about $5 for paletas. The flavors include blue bubblegum, cantaloupe, cucumber, currant, guacamole hibiscus, kiwi, lime, mango, passion fruit, pineapple, strawberry, and watermelon. It's about $7 for hot eating. There's corn in a cup, corn on the cob, or petrohuates. Makes it good to come to any time of the year, even when it gets cold. There's a lot more cool stuff. Has a pretty interesting concept. It's located in a strip mall on Indian Trail. They have a lot of great products but can be slow helping or whatever. read more

I habitually try tamales from different local places, always in search of the perfect tamale. I was next door at the DMV and knew I was stopping into Los Mangos after I was done with my DMV chore. I'm so glad I did! I got the chicken and pork tamales to go. They were amazingly flavorful and moist on their own; I can't imagine how much better they'll be with a mole sauce on top! On a whim I also tried the mango chelada. Let's just say I'll be driving back for that soon. Admittedly I'll be getting it home and adding some tequila for a lovely summer drink. This isn't my first time coming to this place, but it'll probably be my last. Every time I come here, service is slower than molasses....but I kept coming bc I liked the vampiro. I've come where the line is at least 3 people deep and they have no sense of urgency and continue to move at a slow pace. I never thought I'd complain about a place for giving too much something. Overload on the chamoy in my vampiro. Too much cheese on my hot cheetos. So much I could put another bag of cheetos in there. Ended up throwing away everything after it being half eaten. read more

This place is horrible.If I could give it a zero star I most definitely would. The girl working on the day I visited this place for the first time ever had the nerve to charge me more for tap water then what they actually sell bottled water for.On top of that she lied to me in my face.I asked her before I paid if she was charging me more for tap water then what it would cost to just buy a bottle of water and she said no. Turns out once I paid and got my receipt she did charge me more for tap water then the cost of bottled water. I immediately asked her why wasn't she truthful and asked for a refund. She claimed she couldn't give me a refund after she purposely lied to me.I then asked to speak to the owner and she said he wasn't there.So I proceeded to ask for a way I could get in communication with him either by phone or email.She gave me a phone number that she claimed to be his phone number.I sat outside the establishment and called the number she provided me with. It ended up being the phone number to the buisness itself.As I sat outside I saw the girl working answer the call.At that point I was so frustrated and annoyed with her behavior that I just gave up and vowed to never return. This establishment is sickly cheap and money hungry its disgusting.They dont treat customers nice.Horrible service.I am very involved with local community so therefore know many people.They definitely lost my buisness and the buisness of all my friends and family.I made sure to spread the word and will continue spreading the word about this crummy place. read more

If it was ten, fifteen years ago, I would almost undoubtedly give this place five stars, but with at least three other places for me to get Mexican-style ice cream and ice cream treats, this place is thoroughly okay. A few minutes in either direction will get you somewhere with better ice cream. The only things I will get here, in order to make sure that I don't walk out completely disappointed, are the shake drinks, which are all good; I would even venture to say that they're pretty good. The ice cream itself is okay, but barely, being neither as intense, fruity, creamy, nor as rich as their competitors' ice cream; the prices are good, but the product isn't. Thankfully there is rarely a reason for me to come here, usually only when my nephew is at Garfield Park and wants a second helping of ice cream and has already had Banana Split. I will continue to come here periodically for the shakes and to satisfy my nephew without having to drive very far, otherwise I will go to Super Mercado El Guerro for paletas (they have the best) and to La Michoacána on Route 25/Aurora Ave for ice cream (they have the best). A couple of things to note, the inside is usually pretty clean and I've yet to be there on a day when they were very busy, and the staff is the same clueless, hapless, disorganized kind of staff you're sure to find at every Mexican ice cream shop. Also, if you're getting directions, if you're on Indian Trail and its telling you to turn on some street--don't. It's pretty much right next to the DMV, no matter what your GPS might be trying to tell you. read more

I liked this place! I stopped in bc I was looking for an authentic taco and thought I would find one in this strip mall (it's right next to the dmv). They didn't have tacos, but they do have tortas, tamales and tostadas, to name a few. I ordered a ceviche and a pollo tostada. My son said the ceviche one was fantastic - the pollo was okay (too much corn). They did put tons of fresh avocado on it and lots of lime. I also asked for some pineapple on the side and they loaded up my plate. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and wanted me to try all the ice creams and fresh fruit ices. They had every fruit flavors imaginable, including cucumber which was delicious. Prices weren't bad. I will be going back. read more

We stopped by this morning to get some tamales and atole because we saw the big sign right outside of the restaurant that said Tamales and Atole. We waited til they opened (google said 10am). We got off the car at 10:15 tried to open the door and it was still locked. One of the ladies that works there saw us trying to open the door came and unlocked it and did't even say come on in or anything. She litteraly just unlocked it from the inside and did't even open the door. Then when we came in, we ordered some tamales and atole and she let us know that they didn't have any atole, which was a bummer. We don't know how it is possible to not have what they offer if they had just opened. My mom and I both agree that they need to work on their customer service. The restaurant is big and in a good and busy area. They should really take advantage of all that and if they just work on a better customer service they would definitely bring in more people. read more
