In short order, we were able to identify a band & setting for an engagement ring, and Josh worked to source diamonds from several different places at different sizes & characteristics within my price range to make the right choice - sized and set on a pretty tight timeline. Avoid passport photo services at this store. I visited…read morespecifically to get a passport photo for an expedited renewal, assuming a store advertising this service would have the proper tools and trained staff. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. A week after submitting my application, I received a letter stating the photo did not meet requirements--specifically, the face size wasn't within the required 1 to 1 3/8 inches (attached). I returned to the store to request a retake or a refund. They assured me they could take a compliant photo, but after 20 minutes and six failed attempts, they still couldn't get it right. They seemed unsure how far the camera should be from my face, and their equipment didn't allow them to digitally zoom or resize the image. The face size was either too small or too large every time. Eventually, they offered a refund. I ended up going to CVS, where I could take the photo on my phone, and their system resized it correctly. They even provided a certificate verifying the photo met passport standards. Unfortunately, the expedited fee I paid for the passport processing was wasted, and I had to pay again to mail a new photo. It's shocking that a store offering a "professional" passport photo service can't deliver a basic, compliant image.
