Can you tell how good the food was?

What a pleasant surprise ! Fresh food, Incredible service (very hard to find in the GTA) and a clean, cozy , well-lit space. This restaurant checks all the boxes for me , this will be my regular lunch/brunch spot from now on . -Wandered in without a reservation and wasn't turn away . I was able to get a table after a short wait. -Ordered the breakfast dish for one and it blew me away- THE MOST PERFECTLY COOKED EGGS I've ever had in my life ! I had to order 2 more on the side . -You could tell by the taste all the ingredients were fresh! Makes a huge difference -ALL the staff were friendly and accommodating- No bad apples here Couldn't recommend more ! And I HOPE they keep up the good work and don't decline in any of these areas .

This is a new Turkish restaurant/bakery, I believe there are other locations but this one is new to Shops at Don Mills. The server greeted us at the door and was super kind. I ordered salep which is a starchy hot milk drink and kanafah, which is a sweet and cheesy dessert. The salep was really delicious and a perfect drink for the holidays. It was creamy, kind of like a liquid custard. It had a cinnamon and anise flavor. The kunafah was served warm, with syrup and ice cream on the side. I like that they served the syrup on the side so you can control how sweet you want it (not a lot of places do that). These are both quite traditional items and I enjoyed both. The service was excellent and the restaurant was super clean, including the bathroom. I will definitely come back to try the lunch or dinner.

    $14.99 hummus. So good!

Baklava (2 pieces for $5.49). 4. Turkish Tea ($2.00) x 2, but is free with a meal. A Pide is a Turkish Pizza. It came with red cabbage, gabage, pickles, and hot peppers. The pickles were too sourish. The chicken was mixed with two layers of cheese and a few slices of tomatoes. We ask them to hold the chili pepper. Adana is a lamb skewer. It was tasty and flavourful. It comes with a chili pepper and mixed salad, which was good. We swapped out the rice for fries, which was also good. The Baklava was just right; it wasn't drenched in honey, so it stays crispy. The Turkish Tea was the a good fish to a meal. Apparently, it is free when you have a dine-in meal. The customer service was good, except we have to keep asking to fill our water glasses. There is enough indoor seating. There is easy listening (English-language) music playing in the background. This restaurant opened in Feb 2024. There is free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There are separate male/female washrooms downstairs, thus not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. There is one high chair for little children. Review 2024-148

The waiter was really nice, he was friendly and smiling when he greeted me and took our order. My friend and I shared the meat doner with bulgur because we were not that hungry. When it came, it looked too good to eat. Presentation was well done with a variety of toppings and it was aromatic. Sadly we found the meat to be too salty for us. It was hard to eat when the bulgur and pita were running out as well. We were surprised to see that we were charged for $4 just for a cup of water each?? Apparently this is their norm but I wish I knew before coming here so I could say no to it as I had my own water with me...

3.5 stars A friend…read morefrom out-of-town actually found this restaurant. We arrived separately, and it's a bummer that the parking lot for the plaza is so small. It's a good thing though that we were able to park on the residential street after 6 p.m. This is a fairly small restaurant with a patio. Menus are viewed by scanning a QR code. I'm not sure if it's specified, but certain items are only available at certain times. There's a chance that what you want to order is sold out or not available, so I'd recommend having a backup order ready. It was a super busy night when we went, so the food did take quite a while and was severely staggered in arriving at the table. Luckily, the restaurant was considering adding a pasta dish to their menu, and we were given one to try complimentarily. It was pretty tasty, and so were the dishes that we each ordered. The portions are decent, so if you're not a big eater, it'd be good to share dishes. The bread is so fluffy and yummy! At the end of the meal, we were given tea. It was a nice touch. However, they should specify that it's on the house. I had brought a cake and asked if we'd be able to cut it and eat it there. The server said yes, but it'd be a $5 charge per person. I understand that they provide plates and cutlery and will have to wash it, and I'm not sure what the norm is, but $5 per person seems high.
