Originally I was going to order the Steak & Frites but found out that all their steaks are marinated in milk. Due to my allergies I couldn't have that. When the burger arrived hubby's burger was dripping with grease when he took a bite. My burger was dry but I didn't like the seasonings they put into the burger. Our fries were fine. Hubby didn't like his burger either. We didn't finish our burgers, which is unusual for us. For dessert we had the red velvet cake which was delicious. Service: We had a very friendly young lady who was our waitress. Unfortunately her service was absentminded at best. I had told her my allergy to dairy & immediately after wards she asked again: you have an allergy? I wonder if she wasn't listening to me or couldn't hear me. When we went to order dessert I asked if they had the chocolate lava cake. She said no. Then I asked if they had the red velvet cake. She said no. But hubby could see the display case behind me & saw red velvet cake there. He mentioned that to our server. She said: Where is my mind, oh yes we have red velvet cake. Both hubby & I were not impressed with the service. Ambiance: The decor is in blues, whites, and green pastel colours with medium wood tones. It looks okay. Not the prettiest place but also not a junky looking place. There is an outside entrance that leads to the parking lot. Some people came into the restaurant from that direction. Most of the people eating at the restaurant seemed to be muslim. I saw ladies in hijabs. Actually when we first came into the restaurant & were shown to a table some guys sitting nearby had their shoes off. That is a bit gross in my opionon. Overall I would say that I wouldn't come back here. I wasn't impressed with the service or the food. I can't eat any of the steaks also. We were only in Square One for a store that isn't anywhere else near us. If we go back to Square One I would try a different restaurant. read more

We visited one afternoon and tried the wraps. It came with a small side of salad and fries. I had the Chicken Lavash wrap while my partner had the Beef Lavash. It was very good but with all honesty, you can find other places that serve delicious wraps at an affordable price. The baklava we had was okay buy I truly enjoyed the tea. This branch is spacious and beautiful and the service was fast. We will go back and try the kebabs next time at a location near us. It's at Square One so expect tons of parking spots. read more

Beautiful place with delicious, home-style food. I ordered the Adana kebab and it was absolutely delicious--felt just like a comforting homemade meal. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly quiet, but it quickly got busy. We placed our order and received our food in good time, but after that, the service disappeared. There were only two servers trying to handle the entire restaurant, and unfortunately, that meant a long wait for our bill and Turkish coffee. I also noticed another table having an issue with their dessert order. The food is worth trying, but they definitely need more staff to keep up with the service demand. They offer a selection of breakfast like other spots in the city though the portion looks sample sized. Will give it a try one day. Service is ok. One of the most popular restaurants in town that also has a rich history, Mado slightly disappointed me with their food but their desserts were decent! The ambiance is also pretty so no complaints there. We tried their: chicken shish kebab - a little dry but quite flavourful, comes with a side of rice and fries chicken schnitzel - was decent, nothing extra Mordinary. The chicken felt like it was overcooked. fettuccine alfredo chicken and mushroom - this is a classic pasta dish so there was not a lot of room for disappointment, tasted very mediocre. Coming to the desserts, we tried their Kunafah which was so delicious that we wanted to order more. We also got their soufflé with ice cream and this was also delicious! Came here yesterday for brunch and was seated immediately. I chose the salmon eggs benedict because I was craving some eggs benny! It was good, the salmon was a lot softer than other times I've previously had but still good. Service was great and our water bottle was constantly replenished. This is a slightly upscale Turkish restaurant/bakery in the mall. Was my first time trying Turkish lunch. Food (4.5/5) - Menemen Egg Scramble- this was quite good. Really nice balance of eggs sautéed eggs peppers and onions. Comes with Turkish bread which was soft warm and perfect complement. - Dibek Coffee - really nice variant of standard Turkish coffee. Creamier taste and nice flavour. Comes with Turkish Delight pieces to offset. Service (4.5/5) - was promptly seated and server was friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere (4/5) - it has an upscale feel like McEwan or Eataly. Combination of tables booths with a bakery in the back. Vibey music playing in background, bright lighting and clean look and layout. I love the ambiance in this restaurant it's located in the mall beside Starbucks it's so bright and light it makes you forget that it's cold outside, it's modern. It is a Turkish restaurant they do not have physical menus you have to use the QR code. I found the menu to be pricey but from what I seen on other tables the portions are decent I got a chicken wrap plate and I shared it with one other person it was a good portion for lunch. The chicken was served hot temperature wise and there was some grilled peppers as well inside of the wrap, the fries were also piping hot and fresh and had a slight crunch to them it came with what I think is mayonnaise and a chili sweet sauce. The fries and the wrap were delicious it was fresh it wasn't oily but the salad- - both me and the person I was with did not enjoy, the salad it had oil and vinegar on it but it was definitely heavy on the oil which just did not sit well with me read more

I am so glad that I finally decided to give this place a try! After hearing about how delicious it was from a co-worker, I decided to try it myself. And boy, was I glad that I did! We had gone around 11:30 am on a Saturday, and were seated right away. The restaurant itself was huge, with ample seating for a large amount of people. I loved the decor on the wall, and the inviting table settings; very modern and futuristic! This restaurant screamed 'I'm hip and I know it'; it was truly a unique experience being here. Along with the ambiance, the food was absolutely divine. I had settled on the kofte lavash, after getting a high recommendation for it from our server. I was glad to have settled on this option, as it tasted amazing. The meat was fresh, and mixed with the vegetables inside of the pita, it was the perfect medley. The side salad and cherry tomatoes added a wonderful finish to the meal. My son had settled on the cheese pizza, my daughter the kids' meatball meal, and my mom the chicken kofte. All of our meals were received with rave reviews, which were all enjoyed to the last bite. While enjoying our delicious food, we were served by an attentive and funny waiter, who played with my daughter, and continuously checked on us. I went in with lower expectations but it wasn't bad at all. So I was here on a weekday afternoon just after noon. The restaurant was pretty full considering it was a Monday. I was quickly seated. You can choose between the dining area or the ally that faces the mall, since I was alone I chose the latter. I wasn't in a mood for something super heavy or eggs so I decided for a kofta wrap. It was basic the quality of the meat was fantastic and the overall taste was 8/10. If you're looking for a spiced up super flavorful wrap this isn't the one for you but if you're looking for a meaty basic wrap this is it. In every bite you will taste the meat. The fries however were a bummer quite store bought taste. The salad was basic with lemon/olive oil dressing. The portion was generous. The service given was fantastic the server kept checking a few times. The pricing is on the higher side but not crazy expensive. The decor and vibe is pretty cool. Overall I had a great experience nothing really that I didn't like. This place is known for their breakfast maybe next time I will try that and some of their desserts and Turkish tea. I was really disappointed in the food here. I did have dinner and have heard breakfast is a lot better! I'm also a vegetarian so I understand the options werent great for me to begin with. A little overpriced imo, but in Turkey they are also on the pricier side. We came only for desserts as we already had dinner at home that day. Was glad that they were able to find us a table (called to reserve) despite being a last minute call. Service was a little slow (to get our orders and bill in), but overall to get the desserts, it was rather quick. Our server was new so had to go back and forth to check with the chef what's available. I'd suggest it looks more professional/better to write it down and keep track of it that way or have it put on the system so that servers don't need to go back and forth to check what's available and what's not available. Most of the desserts we wanted were not available, so we got something else. Overall, found the ice cream very good and all the desserts we got were good. I was roaming around Square One and walked by this beautiful cafe. The ambiance is nice, you can order from the wide variety on the menu, from Turkish tea to different types of Turkish coffee, Latte, Americano! The presentation for the tea is nice with a small flower and a couple of almond chocolate. I ordered the brewed Turkish tea and loved it. I just ordered another one. The Su Borek with Cheese (3 slices of traditional Turkish patty with speacial Maraş cheese) was delicious. It's almost like a savoury baklava with layers of cheese. It was warm and delicious. A buzzing new Turkish bakery and eatery within the Square One complex. The place was full when we dropped in for an evening coffee and icecream. Initially was hard to catch a waiter's attention as they do not seem to have allocated staff to small sections. But once we caught one person's attention, she was very courteous and professional. This place is brightly lit, modern design, exposed ceiling, caters to large gatherings as well as an intimate seating. There are two entrance (mall and outside) There is an ice cream bar at both ends of the restaurant. They have a large selection of dessert / dry fruit which is displayed for purchasing. The service was quick in terms of receiving our food, however, we had to get our servers attention through out our meal to get items like water, sugar etc. We got the grand breakfast for two as it was recommended. There were alot of smaller items like cheese, olives, hams, fruits, cucumber and cherry tomatoes, dried fruit, eggs, sujuk and bread. There was alot of food that it was hard to finish every thing on the table. It did come with unlimited tea but our server didn't around with tea often. Overall, I would return to try lunch or dinner. The people were quite nice, and I was doing take out but the atmosphere seemed good. But, for the price, I wouldn't recommend. I seemed to get a less than what I paid for. I ordered the dessert mixed plate, and when it came it seemed very small. I inquired, and was told that this was it. I later looked online at the description 1 slice of dolama with pistachio, baklava with pistachio, baklava with walnut, homemade baklava with walnut, 1 slice of plain kesme ice cream, powdered walnut and pistachio. - all I got was 4 small baklava. That was a bit disappointing. They charged me the same. I could have taken a small ice cream in a cup, and the walnut/pistachio, or been charged a touch less. Or at least been warned. For $20 that seemed very steep. The meal, Begendi Kofte, was tasty. It says that it is served with a green pepper...turns out it is a HOT green pepper, warning (I was told the dish was not spicy, which is true, except the hot pepper). High prices, pretty good food, nice people. But I would probably not go again nor recommend. read more

AT ALL COSTS. so here i am, on a monday morning, visiting the square one mall. after getting a starbucks coffee, i passed next to the MADO bakery who seemed inviting, deciding to get some pastries to try. out of the 30 tables here, only 2 are occupied by patrons at 11:00am. so i order three baklava, for 5$ a piece (really expensive but ok) and take a seat. After 30 seconds an employee ask me (politely) to leave the place, because "outside drinks are not allowed". on a monday morning, on an empty restaurant, i got kicked out for wanting to try their pastries. so now, there i am, eating on a public bench, 20$ worth of "luxury" pastries. worst service ever, overhyped but empty place. oh, and the baklava were bland, and tasteless. it looked like i was eating a handful of sand. but hey, at least my starbuck coffee was good. I am writing a paper letter to Square One Mall Management Office and complaining that they allowed such a disrespectful restaurant to replace Jaime Oliver Restaurant. 1) No Menus anywhere - must use your own smart phone to order food, yet no sign at entrance warning you of this 2) Waiter fails to help you order food 3) So much socializing between wait staff, lots of pinching, tickling, sitting on couches and joking around, while my family cannot order food. Went for the first time today! We got a few wraps and they where ok. Nothing special. The fries were awful. They where Costco coated fries. Go to Europe they don't serve u that. They are fresh and homemade fries. The service was ok but not the best. She was pleasant but very slow. The coffee was good. The deserts are ok. Nothing special and the baklava I have had way better at other Turkish places and etc. Overall I would not go back again. The good is way overpriced for what you got. There are way better restaurants out there than us and on top of it. We paid $60 for two wrap meals and with desert we got a small box of baklava 6 pieces. And 2 round Turkish bars. Mediocre food and desserts, tasted bland overall, loud ambiance, service was slow. Washrooms were quite dirty. Cashier service was very slow and automatically added tip, which made me pay 18% on self service by default. Prices were very overpriced for the overall quality. Will not be returning. read more

Food was good on its second time trying, so highly recommended. Waitress 'Eylul' was terrific. She made the whole experience so pleasant. We all loved her smile and the food recommendations she made. The restaurant manager, on the other hand, was very rude and obnoxious. He would be a reason not to go back there again. So upsetting when someone like that ruins a great outing. read more
