Spacious Turkish restaurant, nicely decorated. Went for coffee so didn't eat. Salads looked good. They offer a selection of breakfast like other spots in the city though the portion looks sample sized. Will give it a try one day. Service is ok. Sometimes they come around and hurry you up, which is strange. The day we went, there were many empty tables and a server kept coming around to take our unfinished cups. Lol.

One of the most popular restaurants in town that also has a rich history, Mado slightly disappointed me with their food but their desserts were decent! The ambiance is also pretty so no complaints there. We tried their: chicken shish kebab - a little dry but quite flavourful, comes with a side of rice and fries chicken schnitzel - was decent, nothing extra Mordinary. The chicken felt like it was overcooked. fettuccine alfredo chicken and mushroom - this is a classic pasta dish so there was not a lot of room for disappointment, tasted very mediocre. Coming to the desserts, we tried their Kunafah which was so delicious that we wanted to order more. We also got their soufflé with ice cream and this was also delicious! I would only be back for their desserts if I'm ever back.

Came here yesterday for brunch and was seated immediately. I chose the salmon eggs benedict because I was craving some eggs benny! It was good, the salmon was a lot softer than other times I've previously had but still good. Service was great and our water bottle was constantly replenished. Really beautiful restaurant and we enjoyed our time there.

This is a slightly upscale Turkish restaurant/bakery in the mall. Was my first time trying Turkish lunch. Food (4.5/5) - Menemen Egg Scramble- this was quite good. Really nice balance of eggs sautéed eggs peppers and onions. Comes with Turkish bread which was soft warm and perfect complement. - Dibek Coffee - really nice variant of standard Turkish coffee. Creamier taste and nice flavour. Comes with Turkish Delight pieces to offset. Service (4.5/5) - was promptly seated and server was friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere (4/5) - it has an upscale feel like McEwan or Eataly. Combination of tables booths with a bakery in the back. Vibey music playing in background, bright lighting and clean look and layout. Overall (4.5/5) - I was impressed with my first visit to Mado. Will be repeating to try out some of the other items.

I love the ambiance in this restaurant it's located in the mall beside Starbucks it's so bright and light it makes you forget that it's cold outside, it's modern. It is a Turkish restaurant they do not have physical menus you have to use the QR code. I found the menu to be pricey but from what I seen on other tables the portions are decent I got a chicken wrap plate and I shared it with one other person it was a good portion for lunch. The chicken was served hot temperature wise and there was some grilled peppers as well inside of the wrap, the fries were also piping hot and fresh and had a slight crunch to them it came with what I think is mayonnaise and a chili sweet sauce. The fries and the wrap were delicious it was fresh it wasn't oily but the salad- - both me and the person I was with did not enjoy, the salad it had oil and vinegar on it but it was definitely heavy on the oil which just did not sit well with me

I am so glad that I finally decided to give this place a try! After hearing about how delicious it was from a co-worker, I decided to try it myself. And boy, was I glad that I did! We had gone around 11:30 am on a Saturday, and were seated right away. The restaurant itself was huge, with ample seating for a large amount of people. I loved the decor on the wall, and the inviting table settings; very modern and futuristic! This restaurant screamed 'I'm hip and I know it'; it was truly a unique experience being here. Along with the ambiance, the food was absolutely divine. I had settled on the kofte lavash, after getting a high recommendation for it from our server. I was glad to have settled on this option, as it tasted amazing. The meat was fresh, and mixed with the vegetables inside of the pita, it was the perfect medley. The side salad and cherry tomatoes added a wonderful finish to the meal. My son had settled on the cheese pizza, my daughter the kids' meatball meal, and my mom the chicken kofte. All of our meals were received with rave reviews, which were all enjoyed to the last bite. While enjoying our delicious food, we were served by an attentive and funny waiter, who played with my daughter, and continuously checked on us. Overall, such an amazing experience; would definitely come again!

This is a filling meal. The food tasted really good. The service was very good and brought the meal quickly. Great place with friends and family. It's better to reserve on weekends

Though I was sad to see the closure of Jamie Oliver's restaurant at this location, Mado is a fabulous replacement - if you like things Turkish We tried the Cheese and Mushroom Omelette - probably made with 3 eggs and a healthy portion of arugula The Menemen is great for those who love to experiment or have tried this very Turkish egg preparation.... Delightful combination of eggs, tomatoes, onions, peppers and cheese The salmon salad was delicious and sumptuous - not many places would serve a salmon salad with such a large portion of salmon The carrot baklava with ice cream was a great way to wrap things up There is so much more to try here so I guess I'm coming back again and again PS: The staff was outstanding ... smiling faces all around ( except for this one girl behind the counter who was clearly not enjoying life this afternoon )

Good place to get a hot drink or dessert after dinner or shopping at the mall. Service was quick. Kunafah with ice cream was good but just a little more chewy than I would have liked.

A little overpriced imo, but in Turkey they are also on the pricier side. We came only for desserts as we already had dinner at home that day. Was glad that they were able to find us a table (called to reserve) despite being a last minute call. Service was a little slow (to get our orders and bill in), but overall to get the desserts, it was rather quick. Our server was new so had to go back and forth to check with the chef what's available. I'd suggest it looks more professional/better to write it down and keep track of it that way or have it put on the system so that servers don't need to go back and forth to check what's available and what's not available. Most of the desserts we wanted were not available, so we got something else. Overall, found the ice cream very good and all the desserts we got were good. The cheese roll was also good but it was mostly pastry and not enough cheese. Nice interiors and lots of options to choose from in terms of food.

I believe the desserts are definitely worth trying . There's so much more that I want to order and will come back again. We ordered: Day 1 - In House Lemonade - Turkish Meatballs - Ice Cream & Baklava Day 2 - Traditional Breakfast with Tea - Wet Cake w/ Pistachio Ice Cream OVERALL 5/5 This Turkish restaurant recently opened at Square One and I've been twice in the same week. The restaurant is divided up so that if you are looking to enjoy a meal, you can be seated in the dining area. If you are having a small dessert or drink, you can be seated near the entry which gives off a patio vibe. They have a whole plethora of ice cream, baklava, and Turkish delights. Turkish meatballs and traditional breakfasts are what they are known for. I would return here for their desserts 100%! The vibes of this restaurant are immaculate! FOOD 5/5 DAY 1 ISKENDER KOFTE - $29.99 A traditional Turkish meatball, served with roasted tomato and yogurt and bread. There was a bit too much yogurt, but overall delicious. CLASSIC & PISTACHIO ICE CREAM W/ BAKLAVA - $18.99 Turkish ice cream is truly delicious. My first time having it and it reminds me of gelato. Baklava was perfectly sweet and I love the pistachio. DAY 2 TRADITIONAL BREAKFAST - $26.99 A traditional Turkish breakfast served with cheese, sausage, tomatoes, fries, & two cups of tea. The price is per person however if you are sharing with someone and trying other dishes, I'd highly recommend getting this! WET CAKE WITH PISTACHIO ICE CREAM - $12.99 There is only one way to describe this cake and that is ...wet . Incredibly delicious and the pairing with the pistachio ice cream was just perfect. You can choose another ice cream flavour as well! Will definitely come back again, grab a box of Turkish delights, and try more dishes!

    Dibek Turkish Coffee

I was roaming around Square One and walked by this beautiful cafe. The ambiance is nice, you can order from the wide variety on the menu, from Turkish tea to different types of Turkish coffee, Latte, Americano! The presentation for the tea is nice with a small flower and a couple of almond chocolate. I ordered the brewed Turkish tea and loved it. I just ordered another one. The Su Borek with Cheese (3 slices of traditional Turkish patty with speacial Maraş cheese) was delicious. It's almost like a savoury baklava with layers of cheese. It was warm and delicious. What a wide variety on the menu, comfortable seating where you can choose from breakfast to ice cream, to different desserts.

A buzzing new Turkish bakery and eatery within the Square One complex. The place was full when we dropped in for an evening coffee and icecream. Initially was hard to catch a waiter's attention as they do not seem to have allocated staff to small sections. But once we caught one person's attention, she was very courteous and professional. I got a Dibek coffee, which came neatly presented as seen in one of the pics. We had an earlier heavy lunch so could not try more delightful pastries and goodies.

I ordered the Southwest Steak Hash with Scrambled Egg Whites (4/5). The potatoes had a nice texture to them. They were crispy on the outside yet pillowy soft on the inside. I love the addition of the fried onions too. The steak, however, was not as tender and juicy as I hoped to be. The guac could've used some more lemon. The sauce was good with its flavour tying in the dish. It was creamy and delicately spicy. I asked for tabasco sauce for that extra kick! We were seated right next to the washrooms and right in front of the entrance of the kitchen which was unpleasant. Hence, why I deducted a star. I don't think they should even offer this table to customers. Our server was great. She was attentive and friendly, and she always took the time to check in on us and top up our coffees and water.

(I also got a milk tea to drink, and it was really good. Very rich but not too sweet.) The sandwiches were both excellent. They were packed with flavor and the various components all worked really well together. The Malaysian Street Style did flirt with being just a little too sweet, but it was balanced out with the other components. Everything was decently priced, too. The bill, with tip, came out to around 25 bucks, which is great considering the quantity and caliber of food we were given.

When dining in, you order at the counter, get a number, and they bring your food to the table. Breakfast items are available until 4 p.m., and after that they serve salads, bowls, and sandwiches. On my first visit, I had a hot chai latte with espresso and it was absolutely delicious. The second time, I tried the iced pumpkin spice latte and didn't love it. The pumpkin spice syrup is homemade, which is nice, but the flavor fell a little flat and the large glass was mostly milk, which overpowered the drink. For food, I've tried the egg sandwich simple but good. The spinach feta croissant was heavy on the spinach, light on the cheese, and even though I asked for it warmed up, it was still cold in the middle. Their bowls are very fresh, but I found them a little under-seasoned and could've used more dressing or a sprinkle of seasoning to tie everything together. Overall, it's a cozy spot with an inviting vibe (I love their "stay awhile" sign on the wall). I think it really depends on what you order and your personal taste. For some, the fresh and lighter options might be perfect. For me, a little more flavor and balance would make it great.

I ordered one drink for myself and the two of us ordered two basic egg dishes (an omelette and classic breakfast with practically no substitutions and requests). We then waited almost an hour, even though the restaurant was only half full. No one informed us of any delays, and when I mentioned I was in a rush for an appointment, the waitress insisted the food was "10 minutes away," which wasn't true. When I later directly asked the waitress to cancel the order and bring the cheque just for the drink, her apology felt insincere and was followed by a defensive explanation rather than accountability ("I wasn't aware you were in a rush"). At that point, I didn't really want to argue, I just wanted to pack up the food that finally came (although it was strangely already cold) and pay. We also found it strange that they wanted to charge an extra $1 just to serve the potato sauce on the side, even though it already comes with the dish, which we found to be odd This was just a simple dietary accommodation request to not coat potatoes in sauce but only serve a little on the side, we're not asking for anything in addition to the meal. Overall, not worth it.
