Turkish coffee
Bobby T.

Came across a small cozy Turkish cafe that I really like and would highly recommend. Very unique food with a simple menu. Excellent service and the staffs were very friendly. The bread is very tasty and goes well with whatever food you order. I find the price reasonable when you compare with most brunch cafes. The five star is for the overall experience. Food I will give them a 4.5 Service I will give them a 5.0

Came here for breakfast with my husband and we were not disappointed! Some of the best Turkish coffee I have had! And the owner was so friendly and even taught us how to make it. We had their Turkish breakfast platter that comes with your choice of omelet. The bread is served warm and everything was fresh and delicious! Will definitely be back to try their pastries!

I love the brunch scene. If your looking for a more hip cafe more modern Turkish this is the place I loved the atmosphere a little hard to get in but it was worth it right off the subway and a nice 5 minutes walk you are there! Delicious and healthy!

Great and simple ambience with items for sale such as teas and Turkish Delight. The music playing in the back was at a low setting and relaxing. Pleasant service including the explanation of the dishes. Very well presented with colorful ceramic dishes. Two of us had the Turkey sausage omelette - quite a flavorful sausage. Really good coffee - from the drip to the Turkish coffee. For the American, need to check the temperature of the hot water as the coffee came lukewarm. As this was our first time at Galata Turkish Cafe, we were presented apple cookies as a dessert to finish off our coffee. Very nice short bread like cookie surrounding an apple filling. We parked in the front (very limited parking) and there is parking in the back.

This place is so quaint and with great service. Surprised more people don't know about it because the food is fresh and all the drinks we had were fantastic. We tried the tea, saleb and Turkish coffee and all of them were just the right blends of flavor. Seriously best coffee of my life! There wasn't a single plate that wasn't finished. Highly recommend visiting and man now I wish this was closer to where I live.

Fit Cake - Tiramisu Cake ($9.00)

Fit Cake

Etobicoke

This cafe/bakery focuses on desserts that are sugar free, lactose free, gluten free, vegan, and…read moreketo. I was curious how it would taste. They sell bars, cakes, additives, hot drinks, cold drinks, desserts in jars, lollypop cakes, and tortes. They call themselves a non-bakery. This company originated in Poland. They have been slowly expanding to different countries. This location is the first in Canada (and North America), opening on 2025-07-16. We ordered the following: 1. Tiramisu cake ($9.00). 2. Vanilla Cheesecake ($9.00). 3. Granola on the Go with Tropical Fruits and Protein ($9.00). 4. Almond Apple Pie ($9.00). All items were subtly delicious! Each item is as it should taste but less sweet, but sweet enough. Now i can have dessert without the guilt! The Tiramisu had a good taste. It is even topped by a few coffee beans. The cake contains eggs, coconut milk, buckwheat flour, espresso, cocoa, sweetener, erythritol. The Vanilla Cheesecake was so very fluffy and light. It contains chicken eggs, cottage cheese, gluten-free pudding, natural skyr (yogurt), vanilla, fruit, sweetener, erythritol. The Granola on the Go was so colourful because it had so many different fruit flavour layers, like mango at the bottom. It would be best to scoop the layers separately, rather than mixing all the flavours together. This Cup contains mango, passionfruit, banana, pineapple, yogurt with increased protein content (cow's milk protein), coconut granola, sweeter, erythritol. The Almond Apple Pie was amazing, and the strongest taste of all the four items I had. It must be because Almond and apple have their own strong tastes. It contains apples, almond flour, rice flour, potato flour, coconut flour, coconut oil, cinnamon, sweetener, erythritol. The customer service was excellent. They know how to explain each items and the main ingredients in them. There are six small tables, enough to seat two people each. The vibe is modern, clean, and splashes of colour. They do not sell breakfast items even though their website says so. The website is generic for all worldwide locations. This location is franchaised. There is free WiFi (but not set up yet). The bakery is wheelchair accessible, but there is no door-open button. There is one gender-neutral washroom which is also wheelchair accessible and has a baby change table. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-140

Everything is sweetened with erythritol which like xylitol is a sugar alcohol. It definitely…read moretastes less sweet but still sweet. I think that if you don't eat sugar this will be an excellent place to go to. However if you do eat sweets whether it's homemade or store bought you might find it less satisfying cause sugar does hit a certain part of our tongue and our brain. When I've baked not using sugar I found I need to add just a bit in even 1/4 cup to satiate the sugar fix. I got a tartlet with plum and peanut butter and it was good. The other item I looked at also had peanut butter. I did not try a cake and was hoping to find cookies to try but no luck. I don't live anywhere near here and I'm not sure if I'd go out of my way for it. I thought they were dairy free but it is a selection of items plus some are keto and a few things as marscapone cheese in it. I think they might also have vegan options too. It was a smorgasbord. I think the main thing is you're avoiding sugar then yes here it's worth it. I'm not 100% sure if it's all GF. I was surprised to see keto and dairy as I thought it was dairy free too but nope only some things. So it's a gamble what you can eat depending on what they make that day. Perhaps if they had a schedule for each day that would be very helpful.
