I have to say how disappointed I am! bef they expanded and became more of a bar than a first class restaurant there Pizza and other food was the best around. We were not happy with our first delivery pizza right after there expansion but wanted to give them a fair chance so ordered from them again. Still very dissatisfied. So today we thought let's give them one more chance and ord cheese steak sandwiche, which I had had before. Not only were the sandwiches cold with no flavor and the buns were hard. The French fries were cold and tasted like they were a day old ( see picture) I rea hate giving this review because they used to be so good! I love the amount of choices they have for the sliced pizza. While it's not the best pizza in the world, it's pretty good. I'm not a big pizza person, so I appreciate that I can get a single slice of pizza. The fries are phenomenal, by far the best thing I have had from there. I have to take them up a notch, seeing as my last order was much better than the previous and delivery was less than 30 minutes. Makes you wonder, was it because of review; do they read it, or is it just time of the week and the certain cook/chef that is working at the time? Who knows, but I do know that the pizzas I ordered were very good. Less crust and more toppings versus my last order. I used to frequent a restaurant in Austin, TX called Thai Kitchen. It is a local favorite in the area, and close to where I lived. A family from Thailand owned it, and actually cooked the food themselves. That made it real authentic and popular. However, as they became more popular they hired additional staff, especially for weekends, when it was always packed. I noticed that on those certain days, when the owners were not there, and were not cooking, the dishes were always off. My wife used to always order her favorite Thai Spicy dish called Nuclear Fishing. It was awesome hot green curry (their hand made recipe) with white fish. When we went on the weekends, it was either too salty, or not hot enough, and just didn't taste right. But on slow nights, the dish would be perfect, and we would see the owners in the back cooking. Maybe same happened with Madison Pizza, better pizza makers, and delivery on the slow night I ordered. Who knows. Something to think about before giving up on places, especially if it was your first time and bad experience. read more

Just stopped here after hours for a late night pizza after being out on the town under these COVID guidelines. What a relief that the owner was sweet and bright spirited and served us up a magnificent pie. Chewy and crunchy crust with fresh toppings. I loved that the green peppers were pickled! Yum! It was veggie and half pepperoni. It was so delicious. Thank you to the wonderful hard working staff at Madison pizza for a great pie. Can't wait to go again. read more

They don't wear masks and/or properly (nose exposed, around neck, no mask at all, etc.). I've gone in dozens of times, and left because they are breathing all over the slices and inventory, unmasked. Many customers who come in also don't wear masks, and they don't enforce them to. Shame, I think they have some of the best single slices in Albany. Lots of variety. read more

Decent pizza shop with choices including calzones, hot subs, cold subs, salads, wings, appetizers, and of course pizza. We ordered for delivery on a Saturday before noon and were told it would take about 45 minutes. They were right, it took just about that much time. The cheese calzone was a large crescent and stuffed with tons of ricotta cheese. We ordered garlic parm wings (eh, could've been better) that were a little too crisp for my taste and not juicy enough, although garlicky enough. The wings were served with bleu cheese dressing, celery, and carrot sticks. The chef salads were also large and could easily be split between two persons, loaded with ham, turkey, and roast beef. We've had the chicken bacon ranch pizza here before but it was nothing to write home about. Overall a decent place to grab a quick bite if you're around the area or want free delivery! read more

BEST pizza in Albany, really! Perfect crust to sauce to cheese ratio. The sauce isn't too sweet and the crust is the perfect balance of crispy on the outside soft on the inside. Slices are foldable just like NY style pizza is supposed to be. Speaking of slices, I'm a big fan of being able to order just a slice of something if I want to try it, but not get a whole pizza! Delivery is on the slow side, but I'm willing to wait. read more

I was at a friend's house and we ordered from here recently. The pizzas (one cheese, one pepperoni) were done quickly enough and we went to pick them up within probably 30 minutes. They were decent pizza, but not great. The crust was pretty pale and lacked salt (a lot of pizza around here has crust that lacks salt). There was plenty of sauce but it lacked acidic pop. The cheese and pepperoni were plentiful and I have no complaints in that regard. I just wish there was a bit more salt or flavor. Still, a decent option in the area. read more

There's something about their pizza that's addictive. Maybe it's the generous cheese, the crispy crust, the tasty sauce, or the combination of all of these. It's never too oily nor too salty especially compared to the pizza/chicken wings from another vendor across the street. I particularly recommend Chicken Bella and the Vegetable Ranch. The calzone is good too. Their chicken wings, however, is just okay - not special. read more

Madison Pizza subs and wings -- Poor delivery and overall customer service!!! I ordered a pizza in the past for my family. The delivery driver got upset that my husband didn't give him a tip when he demanded one. The driver became belligerent and threatened to fight my husband. Tonight we ordered and I didn't realize it was the same pizza place. The driver recognized my husband and proceeded to threaten and argue with him again. My husband called the restaurant to report the driver and got yelled at and there was no rationalizing with the manager in the shop either. My husband said he didn't want anyone from that place around our home and was concerned that they may have tampered with our meal. My husband stated he just doesn't trust them. That is deplorable and awful customer service!! Watch out if you order from them and be prepared for a fight if you don't tip them!!! I was told the customer is always right well guess this place doesn't have enough self respect to not bite the hand that feeds them! Especially disrespectful of people of a different background or race!! The owners think that they are better than us and even referenced having "slaves" in their country. I have been coming here for about 10 years now. it's a great place to stop in for a slice and they always have a huge assortment ready for you to choose from! the staff is nice and friendly too. delivery is prompt. sometimes even faster than their estimated time, which is awesome. I love anywhere where delivery is under 30 minutes! of course there are times (just like anywhere else) that they get busy, but the food is always warm and beyond delicious! whether you want pizza or a burger and fries, madison's is where it's at! ps- the baked ziti pizza is amazing! First off, anyone that puts over a three star review is either a family/friend member of an employee or they're paid bots. I finally received a phone call after waiting two hours and seventeen minutes (initially telling me an hour delivery) from the deliverer saying he's outside. I open the door and did not not see him at the door but instead at the corner, which is a half a block from me. I proceeded to wait for him to bring me my food. He finally gets to me after waiting an additional four minutes to find out he forgot a part of my order. So again, I sit and wait for him to go to his car and return with the rest of the order. After coming back to my apartment, I find that the food is ice cold (the pizza was a solid block of cheese). I call Madison's Pizza to tell them the situation and asked for a refund. They declined me and ended the conversation with "Though the food was late and the deliverer was a new employee" (which he could've gotten lost I added) "I had received my food." The wings are cooked to perfection and the garlic knots are flavorful. The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful. When you're in Albany, this is a fantastic place to go after you hit the bars or even lunch and dinner! I have had both the Cheese and Buffalo Chicken slices here and they are made very well. Good pizza sauce, tangy cheese, juicy chicken, and they have an amazing buffalo sauce. I am a HUGE fan of the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. They give you a hearty portion of chicken, and each bite is so satisfying. Their Bleu Cheese is also very smooth and rich in flavor. If you get fries here you will not be disappointed as the portions are massive, and they make them really crispy! Worst customer service I have ever received!!! I just moved to Albany two weeks ago. After an exhausting move we decided to get some pizza, but had no clue where to order it from. I went online and searched on Yelp for some pizza delivery that was close by and had decent reviews. I saw Madison's had online ordering so I looked over the online menu and ordered a cheese pizza and noticed they had 20 wings for $7.99, what a deal! Everything went smooth, our order came quick and we enjoyed the average pizza and wings. We decided to order for pizza again tonight, thought we would try The Fountain but they didn't deliver so we went with Madison's because we got such a good deal on the wings last time, but when I went to place the order online I could only pay with credit, and I wanted to pay with cash this time so I placed the order by phone. When the delivery man came he told me the total and it was much higher than what I paid last time, so I asked to see the receipt. They had charged me $14.99 for the wings, so I explained to the driver that this was not the price online and showed him the website on my laptop. He said that the price was wrong and all he knows is that restaurant charges $7.99 for 10 wings and $14.99 for 20 wings. It didn't seem like I was going to get anywhere with him, and I didn't want to shoot the messenger so I paid him and decided to call the restaurant. When I called the restaurant and explained the situation the man on the phone was very defensive and loud with me. He told me I was wrong, that the prices online were correct. (He was looking at the Eat Street menu, and when I tried to explain that I was looking at the Yelp menu.....well he didn't understand.) I asked to speak with the owner and he continued to yell...eventually I hung up. To my surprise the owner did call me from his house. He said that his restaurant was not on Yelp. I told him I would give him the web address so he could see for himself. He put his son on the phone and I directed him to the online menu. His son told him that I was right, that the prices online were wrong. They continued to speak in a different language with each other for about ten minutes before the owner got back on the phone and proceeded to accuse me of taking advantage of his business because I had already gotten the wings for the wrong price once and I wanted the wings for the same price a second time. At this point I realized I was going to get nowhere with him, and I had just wasted $30 on a cold dinner that I was too pissed off to eat. Half an hour later the manager of the restaurant(not the owner) called me back and offered me a $7 coupon for Eat Street, but I would have to set up the account while I was on the phone with him so he could send it to me. I have ordered pizza here a couple of times and coming from Brooklyn I was not impressed, However....tonight I ordered the Madison salad, mozzarella sticks, broccoli roll and garlic knots at midnight and the food was fresh, I have to say I was impressed. The salad was huge and they did not skimp on the ingredients. The broccoli roll was perfect, not greasy from the cheese, mozzarella were very good too. The garlic knots were only warm and not the best I ever had. I will definitely order the 1st 3 items again and try others on the menu next time. read more

I love Madison pizza! Oh how it reminds me of college. Now I can confirm they do in fact have great pizza because college has come and gone and now i sometimes eat their pizza when it's not 2am and I haven't been drinking so all my tastebuds are in working order. Favs? Buffalo chicken and chicken parm. I think they are better when you drop in and get a slice than when you order delivery however. It's never quite as crispy when you order in. So make the trip, rub elbows with the college crowd and get yourself some good pizza. Why isn't my rating higher? Because it's a dive pizza shop. With that being said its my fav dive pizza shop around. Skip the wings and extras here. Just go for slices. You can't go wrong. read more

I order delivery from here all the time. The cheeseburgers are the beat delivery cheeseburger you will get anywhere. I know. I was shocked too, but my roommate got me to try one a few years ago and it was phenomenal. Pretty much everything I've ordered from there has been good. My only complaint is that I ordered food online and an email that food be ready at a specific time and I arrived exactly at that time. However, I had to wait over twenty mins when I arrive there which was very annoying. Needed an emergency substitute dinner after a terrible Jamaican restaurant experience earlier that evening. We had never eaten from Madison's before, but we were starving, and most places were closing. Turns out, we made a great choice. Ordered a mozzarella and ricotta calzone. The dough was had a great texture, along with a garlic and parm sprinkling on top. Cheese was still hot when delivered. Also had a roasted turkey sub, added bacon and Russian dressing. Phenomenal. I expected a large, disgusting sub filled with ice burg lettuce, as most late delivery places will give you. Our sub was about medium, and very well put together. Tasted fresh, which surprised us.
