Before the installation, I shared my concerns below with the sales person/installer: 1. The size of the inwall speakers the recommended would not likely reproduce the full range of sound desired (especially midrange frequencies) 2. The soundstage produced by the front three speakers needed to anchor vocals to the faces onscreen - not localized to a speaker (especially not to the center channel located below screen). 3. I wanted clean but very strong bass performance that you could feel but not localize to a point in the room. After the installation I received a full demo and sure enough - they failed on all three points. - There is minimal midrange reproduction - The voices are localized on the center channel speaker (despite adjustments) - The powered subwoofer cost over $1,000, but lacks any real impact and it is easy to place where it is in the room I spent time afterwards with the installer sharing my concerns and asking for adjustments to be made. He made some efforts, but the equipment and configuration still produces very, very thin sound reproduction. There is no full range of deep rich sound in action movies (vehicle engines, explosions, etc.). Music on soundtracks sounds like it is playing out of a hand held radio. I told him I was not satisfied and not happy. All he could offer was to sell me additional speakers (left and right tower cabinet speakers and a second subwoofer), and he would give me credit back for two of the in wall speaker The amp is likely not adequate - should have gone with something higher current (Denon, Marantz or similar?). I trusted my money with their expertise/recommendations, and really feel like I failed to pick the right Home Theater company to accomplish a simple HT set up. The room is a dedicated HT room, only 14'x21' with 10' ceilings. I should have done more research. Lastly - on a personal note, I believe how an installer approaches "wire management" (see photos - no methodology) is an indicator of their attention to detail what standard they set for themselves. There is also a photo of their teeny tiny "premium" in wall speaker.

Had a network cable run to my office. The installer went through the few options available and did everything I asked in a quick and professional manner and everything regarding the network drop looked good and worked like a charm. During the process, Murphy struck. While crawling in the attic looking for where to drop the wire, he touched a flexible plumbing pipe a foot away which rubbed against a piece of wood and scrapped a tiny hole (I do not blame the installer in any way). Scott (the owner) had a plumber out to fix the pipe 2 hours later, but they could not get to the tiny hole, so hey had to cut a hole in my wall :( . Then 2 days later, Scott had a Painter out to fix the hole in my bathroom and you would never know it was there. Scott was in constant contact as they took care of the extras, and charged me only for the original network drop. I'm sure he lost money on this stupidly simple job, but for going above and beyond, I could not recommend them more. read more

I needed a ethernet connection installed in our new media room. I called on Tuesday and they were able to squeeze me in on Thursday of the same week. When I spoke to them and explain the situation they informed me they did have a similar installation that same week and we were able to do it. The appointment was for 9 o'clock. They showed up on time explained what they wanted to do. He went to work after surveying was done . The young man had excellent customer service explained every step of the way. Once the network jack was installed, we did a speed test I went from 83 MB to 833 MB with the wired connection. Great improvement very satisfied with the work that was done would definitely recommend. "I hired Madison's to overhaul my home's wireless connectivity and install a full-home audio/video system, and I couldn't be more impressed. We were struggling with abysmal data speeds and dead zones, but Scott and Nick recommended a Deco mesh Wi-Fi network integrated with my existing ethernet. The results? I'm now getting 900+ Mbps throughout the entire house. Prior to meeting him face to face I was already extremely confident in his knowledge and qualifications. When I did request him to come out initially, it was on very short notice (next day) he was very punctual including a call prior to let me know he was in route. I have used Madison Home Theater for a major project on a new house I purchased three years ago which turned out flawless. I spend at least once a day in my new media room. As we were moving back into our house, we hired Scott and MHT to rehang our TVs and to get them all connected including a new wifi, setting up the smart Tvs, setting up our preferences, upgrading our sound system, etc. He is efficient and was able to problem solve when we did not have all of the equipment we needed. He even helped me remove some old satellites and equipment from my roof. I've used Big D Audio video for 3 jobs now and they have delivered every time at a great price…read more The first time I used them was to hang my flat screens on the wall. They were half the price of the Best Buy squad, both for service and parts, they brought the hardware and wires needed, and they did an awesome job even re-routing some wires in the wall to make it work. I recently re-hired them to put in a home speaker system, including patio and pool speakers. They took care to try not to make a mess, trying to catch all the dust from the ceiling. They recommended the right speakers for the right price. They got it done quickly, and again for a good price. Plus Hector and crew are just genuine, honest and family people. I would and have recommended Hector and Big D to all my friends and family.
