Searched online for new security service and selected Protectus because they had so many 5 star reviews. I spoke to Chris and he guided me through the process and did not try to upsell me with things I didn't want. He sent me the contract and scheduled installation on the day I requested. He was very kind and explained everything since this is my first monitored security service. Robert did the install and he was also amazingly knowledgeable and so very kind. He was considerate and finished the work quickly and took the time to show me how to use the system. I am so happy with the Protectus experience and I feel very relieved that they are monitoring my home. I could not have asked for better support. Highly recommend. read more

Another great experience with the tech guys from Protectus. Jason and Robert worked their butts off in the blazing heat for two days installing my new cameras and security system. Great guys too and both have been there for years which is a great sign that this is a well run company. They also took the time post installation on how to use the system on my phone and that I could feel free to call them later if i had any other questions. Thanks guys! read more

I use them for 3 of my properties. Very happy with their personalized service and the app and hardware too.

Purchased a new home in McKinney and needed to get my dormant security system up and running for my wife's piece of mind. Jason assessed our needs and delivered prompt and excellent service. I highly recommend Protectus! read more

Protectus Security - New LCD Panel - Security Systems Near Me - Irving, Texas

Called and a lady picks up and says hello. What kind of shit way is that to answer a phone at a business? Hard pass. Update to owners reply: sorry, not true. Lady was laughing on other side, then left me a message on my vmail about thinking I was asking about another business to cover her tracks. Look, it's not a huge deal, but you have someone unprofessional working from you. I am in the market for full outdoor security system. Now I have a different business coming to give me an estimate. Not trying to make this bigger than it is but shows how a first impression can make or break a deal before you know it. Cheers. read more

Installed new cameras and security system for us. Really professional and personable guys doing the install. Would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to upgrade their security system. read more

I did a lot of my own research and bought my own cameras. All I wanted was someone to mount the cameras and run network cables in the attic. I hate going up in my attic, it's such a PITA. I worked with Protectus Security and they got them installed, mounted and connected in a few hours. They even checked with me to make sure the cameras were mounted correctly by verifying that the image was what I was expecting. I highly recommend them. read more

These guys are great from the get-go. Easy to contact, great response time, show up as scheduled, great pricing, superb equipment, easy to work with... I've got nothing but good to say about Protectus Security. read more

I initially called Protectus to inquire about installing/upgrading my home security system. I bought a recently new home, and it already had a Gurkin security system installed with motion detectors; however, I wanted to find a company that could upgrade and integrate my whole home with cameras, front door locks, garage door and thermostats. After getting an initial quote with prices, we agreed on the installation date. J The technicians Jason and Rob called 30 minutes prior and arrived ready to work. They went to work right away and everything went well until two panels failed. Even with this hiccup, Jason and Rob were relentless in trying to figure out the issue and they even had the final one driven up to my home to make sure that I would have the system up and running. After the panels booted up, there was issue with the Z Wave tech and both had to figure out what was wrong with why the thermostat and locks were not connecting. After an hour, the system was finally up and running. It is a smaller business, but I feel like I am a more valued customer as compared to if I went with ADT or another bigger alarm company. I've had ADT in the past and the techs would have probably given up and not finished the job. I want to thank Chris, Jason and Rob again for doing an outstanding job and setting my family up with my new integrated security system. Thank you guys! read more

I called Protectus Security to install a new system I bought. A guy came by, checked behind the TV, pushed in a loose plug, and my old security started working. I asked him what I owed him and he said nothing----NOTHING? Wow a bargain. Places charge you $100.00 to walk through the door. Great place with great people. I tipped him with a couple of Hershey Bars. read more

Chris and his team were great from the beginning of the install to after the install ensuring we had a valid permit on our space with the city. We look forward to many years with Protectus! Thanks again Chris! read more

They did a nice job and the new system is impressive and very intuitive and I have been in that business for years

Chris did an great job recommending our system components and Jason and Rob did an outstanding job installing our security system. They helped resolve issues with our doorbell and got it working. They explained how to use all components and made sure I knew of choices to make along the way to insure it was installed to my liking. So far, system is working great! I highly recommend Protectus Security. read more

Professional service. Highly recommend. Christopher was really helpful and was open to recommend about the alarm security.

They scheduled my consultation timely and provided a quote to me. However, the quote was expensive and not competitive at all So I will not proceed to the next step with them. read more

We have been a customer for over five years with Protectus Security. They are monitoring our home and my wife's business facility. Our satisfaction with Protectus Security has lead my daughter to utilizing their services also. It's a great combination: Technically competent guidance on the equipment to be installed Prompt and professional technicians for initial installation Professional follow up after the sale. Competitive pricing. Quality Equipment. You get the satisfaction of a local company that cares about your business, not a phone call to an offshore phone attendant. Recommended from a few folks after I was stuck in the stone ages with my wired alarm system. With cell phones who needs a home phone now adays?!? With that I went with the super nice folks at Protectus and their 2gig alarm system. Had the alarm placed before remodel on my home and it saved our home twice from burglary while doing construction. Fast reaction time from the alarm company when the alarms are triggered and they are diligent about calling everyone on the list to make sure everything is OK. Super friendly staff helps you assess your security needs and has an assortment of products to offer. The website/app combination is a plus to customize your security needs and stay informed. The alarm system is easy to work with a LED touch panel with simple instructions on how arm/disarm as well as more advanced options to work with the app/website. Installation was a snap and has us up and running in about an hour and a half with training and all. Ditch the wired telephone systems. Wireless/Cell connections for alarms are super awesome and this company made me a believer in new technology. THANK YOU guys! read more

I love this company. Since I was a small child, I have suffered from anxiety, particularly at night and having them on my side makes me feel safer. All of our techs have been friendly and prompt, and they even vacuum up the mess from the install before they leave! Highly, highly recommend them for installation and monitoring. read more

We recently had a new alarm system installed through Protectus. The previous company we were with for 8 years using antiquated technology and limited our ability to remotely monitor the home. Additionally, when we ran in to an issue after a lightning strike the options to fix/replace were costly and still provided limited functionality. The new system with Protectus gives us remote monitoring/control over the alarm and doors allowing us to ensure the home is protected all the time. Great for those times when the kids are beating you home from work and you want to make sure you get them in the home and keep it secure. The system works great and is a huge upgrade from what we have had over the last 8 years. The people are Protectus are extremely friendly and take the time to walk through the home discuss options without being aggressive or pushy. The installer was on time, clean and walked us through the use and configuration of the system. I've been extremely impressed with the professionalism of everyone me worked with at Protectus! Overall, we are very satisfied the new system and partnership we had with the Protectus team. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new system. read more

I have used Protectus Security off and on since 2010. The only reason I paused service was because I was in a very secure high rise building. They consistently impress me with their professionalism and service. They always seem so available and responsive. You can tell the owner really cares about customer satisfaction, and he is always so nice to interact with. Everyone I've ever dealt with from customer service to tech support, to alarm installations, have all been outstanding. That is really tough to find these days. I highly recommend Protectus for their service, reliability, and sense of safety and security I feel from using their systems. read more

Plenty to say about Protectus. First off, they have great customer service. If you are interested in signing up with them or upgrading your current system, they'll send someone out for a consultation within a day or so to talk with you and inspect the location. Their security techs are great and will answer any questions you might have during the installation process. Then there is their products. I can't speak for their commercial products but their residential systems are fantastic. I can use my cell to control the system when I'm away. I can review the system settings online. They have features for email and text alerts and updates, specialty door locks, thermostats, garage door openers, and anything else you can imagine. They even offer identity theft products. I live in an 'ok' part of Dallas, but decided to sign up with Protectus in May 14. My house was broken into later in October 14 while I was out of town. Protectus alerted me by text immediately, called me within seconds and had the police at my house within about 2 minutes (would've been faster if I could remember my verbal passcode). If it wasn't for Protectus Security, I would have lost thousands in stolen items. The system paid for itself right there 100 times over. I'm a customer for life. read more

Same day installation, and the tech was professional, efficient, organized and taught me how to use the system quickly. Very friendly service, and I was looking for a smaller company after the awful experience I had with ADT and their equipment falling off multiple times. Really appreciate that you can monitor your home remotely, and are notified of any changes including when alarm is turned off/on and power outages in your area. Multiple codes can be set for up dozens of users as well. read more

The install went great and we absolutely love the new system.  When someone rings the doorbell, it never fails to connect.  Your installers were extremely helpful and your tech support has been fantastic.  I am so glad we changed over. read more

ProtectUS and the 2GIG System they installed were both unbelievably amazing! Their office staff is very professional and you can absolutely tell that they ALWAYS put the customer 1st! The installation technician was clean cut with a badge and a very nice Polo shirt with the ProtectUS logo. Too many times with other alarm companies you will get a tech that is wearing a t-shirt with no logo and you're really unsure as to who you're letting into your home- with ProtectUS, I can guarantee you will feel 100% at ease because they do quality work and every person on their staff that I have spoke to are all dedicated to providing their customers with the best service! Thank you so much PROTECTUS! USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR SECURITY SYSTEM - YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG!! Thanks again for everything! read more

Chris is great! I just bought a home in Irving and was looking for security. I was going to bundle with my internet service, but every time I called I ended up getting transferred all over the place and was very frustrated. Secondly, they had the exact panel I had in mind and thirdly, they gave me the peace of mind I was looking for. I could not be more happy! read more

Best customer service from any service provider I have contracted before! Chris the owner was very easy to deal with. He response time is very timely and does what he promises. Rob and Jason (the installers) were great! Very professional, personable and great at what they do. They even changed a few lightbulbs that were in light fixtures that were too high to reach. They will be back out next week to install a WiFi booster and appreciate all their hard work and explanations along the way. read more

We had an older DSC 1555 security system and were looking for a upgrade to current technology. I emailed Chris and told him what we wanted. He emailed a quote and it was a deal. We scheduled a install on Monday and Wednesday we had our upgrade. It is exactly what we needed. Rob was our tech, Chris said he would arrive between 1-3pm and 12:55 he was at our front door ready to go to work. Rob knows his stuff and worked fast and clean. He was very good at teaching us our system. Web site set up and controls, phone app setup and controls, he even reminded us to get our alarm permit with the city. So let me sum this up and why I gave them all 5 stars. 1. On-time! 2. Two hour upgrade took one hour! 3. Rob explained everything we needed to know! 4. No mess very clean work! 5. Chris gave me his cell number and answered it when we called with questions before our install! On-time, fast clean service, answered their phone no automated system press bla to do bla just three rings and "this is Chris". Oh and did I forget to say our new system looks great. Very happy with our experience and highly recommend these guys. read more

Protectus installed my wireless alarm system back in 2011 and it has worked out so well for me. Recently, I was so thankful for how it was all put together because a would-be-robber threw a rock through one of my windows but the glass-break sensor went off and stopped the robber in his tracks. I knew all of this because of text updates and calls and the swift dispatch of the police when needed. Installation was great and the equipment is very high quality. read more

This is what customer service looks like! We recently changed security companies. Our 3 year commitment expired and we thought we would upgrade the control panel to the newer technology. It didn't work out. It wasn't an improvement - it was a step back! So we had that company remove the system, and went looking for a new provider. Protectus Security popped up with 5 stars everywhere I looked, so I contacted them. Good call! They agreed to reinstall our old system for the cost of a one-year monitoring contract - at a very reasonable rate! But more importantly, it was the quality of SERVICE they provided! We have a complex system (glass breaks, motion detectors, CO and smoke detectors, a whole host of automated lights, plus the usual window and door sensors). We also have garage door sensors - which were giving us a number of false positives (usually at 2:00 am ...). After getting our whole system re-installed and working - with nary a complaint about the challenges - we couldn't quite get the garage doors working. So we tried to use a different device. But it didn't work either, without significant changes in our existing garage door equipment ... so we kind of gave up. However, when I shared that information with the owner, he wasn't giving up. Less than a week later, he had a technician back at our house - with new equipment that was compatible with our garage door AND the security system! Bottom line, they didn't have to come back. We were resigned to that component just not working for us. But this company wanted us to be HAPPY and SATISFIED! And we are!! The effort was unexpected and appreciated. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for home security!! read more

Robert and Jason from Protectus Security went above and beyond with new residential service installation yesterday. If I could give them 10 Stars I would! They had to replace every sensor installed by the GC's team and more. They stayed dedicated and positive throughout a long day to ensure all the details were taken care of while providing attention to details. They even pointed out several building deficiencies my GC missed to help finish my home rebuild. I truly valued their work ethic, integrity and time they spent with installing the alarm system. It's rare to experience such sterling service and they should be commended for their outstanding delivery! read more

Chris was great throughout the sale and install of a new system. I had an old wired system that was out of date. He came out and recommended the 2gig control panel and a few other extras. In a word: Protectus is what you want with a security system and company. They provided fantastic service and installation this week. Matthew (the installation tech) was excellent.
