We came in here last night to find a Ralph Lauren shirt for my husband for an event we have to attend this weekend. The store was very neatly organized and tidy for a Friday night. We were in the store for a good 30-40 minutes but surprisingly NO ONE who works in this area ever asked if we needed any help or if we were finding everything ok. My husband tried on his shirt and we checked out. The cashier was very chipper and playful with my toddler. She even thanked us for shopping and invited us back. Had it not been for that, I'd probably give 2 stars. Next time he wants Ralph Lauren, we will go to the Norfolk outlets because there's is of course, a far better selection of clothing.

I am not a fan of Macy's, as in the whole concept of the store. It's tacky and over displayed. I do feel like I'm being suffocated every time I go in to the store because its over crowded. There is not much space to walk around most especially between floor displays because the store is over stocked. Wall displays and other features on the floor has so many products. I believe customers should be given enough room to shop and be comfortable walking around. Don't get me wrong, its absolutely wonderful store but I think its not for me at all. I like stores that are more spacious and minimal. On the brighter side, this particular store is the most organized among the other branch in Hampton roads. Without a doubt, the customer service is superb. Staffs are polite and knowledgeable.

We bought the best couch from Macy's. I'd never even thought about looking there but we decided to walk threw since we were there for something else. And we fell in love with this couch. Our sales man was so helpful and we got 0% apr on our Macy's card for 2 years. They delivered it with in days and it looks great.

And when I was ready to check out I had to move around to get someone to notice me and ask me if I was checking out and when I did get check out the associate that assist me was short with me and was not really getting welcomed vibes and when she gave me my receipt I was expecting like a typical shopping bag but I guess they do not do that or at least told me they do not. And when she was done she just kind of walked off . Overall experience was not terrible but it wasn't the best customer service interaction and I feel like as a business that serves with intent to make people feel welcome and appreciate it to find nostalgic pieces or even fashion in general should feel equally welcome and it just felt divided there . And I actually only stopped by because I was near the area and I was recommended by this by vintage store nearby. The only good thing that I can say is that the clothes options were really good and the price throughout the store was good and the way there organized the store was nice where you had a variety to pick from and I was able to find a lounge beach top with a black top and cargo pants skirt a perfect outfit for the beach or lunch date and more. Again, I wouldn't recommend going to this establishment other than buying clothes, but I hope in the future that they work on their customer service skills and treats people equally

The staff make commission so they do tend to lean towards the overbearing side by bringing you a bunch of items and trying to get you to buy all kinds of things that you probably don't need, like, or want but they will cater to your needs and bring you whatever you want or ask for while you are in the store which can be nice if you know how to handle it... Since they no longer apparently carry the Lucky jeans I now wear their BKE but I am a picky jeans gal and am particular about the style of the back pockets. They have a beachy, shabby chic, grunge-type style if you ask me... torn and rhinestone jeans with faded T's and lots of Hurley stuff... I typically only buy jeans here - I do love them - but the shirts are not my style. My husband bought jeans, shirts, t-shirts, hats, flip flops, etc. I enjoy shopping here but, as I mentioned above, make sure you are firm about what you do and don't want or like when you first start working with one of the employees inside, otherwise they will waste your time showing you a bunch of things you probably won't even like or want to wear...

There inventory was very low and the clerk apologized. They have yet to catch up from the Christmas rush. I also looked over their higher end Nike shoes. The inventory was pretty sweet and they had a deal for 50% off the second pair per the staff. I did find an exchange pair of socks and bought a three pack of Nike. There was a small issue with the return that was resolved nicely by the lady sales clerk. I would recommend and shop them again.

In my previous reviews of Tilly's and Buckle, I described Lynnhaven Mall's signature style as youthful (meaning under the age of 18), surfer, skater, preppy suburbanite. Along comes Zumiez, one of the newest stores added to the mix, and we are met with more of the same. Zumiez sells men's and women's surfer and skater brands in the most up to the minute styles. They certainly have more men's clothing and certainly all casual clothing, although there are a few really cute dresses here. The prices are on par with other stores offering similar brands. If you're lucky enough to catch a sale, you're in for some good deals.

I grew up in Virginia Beach, so I remember when this mall had two stories and a carousel inside. Ahh, the good ol days. Not to mention a much better food court than the small corner it has today. Ah well. An AMC movie theater, trampoline park, and a Dave & Busters are attached along with multiple box stores: Barnes & Noble, Dicks Sporting Goods, Old Navy, H&M, Macy's, L.L. Bean, and Dillards. An Apple store, which I believe is the only one in Hampton Roads, and a Sephora (for all those tweens who can do their makeup better than me) is inside too. In the center of the mall, they host holiday events such as getting your photo with Santa and the Easter Bunny (not sure of the price), as well as the Bra-ha-ha (a fundraiser of multiple decorative bras to support the fight against breast cancer) and trick-or-treating on Halloween at select stores. If you have little ones, the large play area with the massive whale upstairs is gone (obviously, because the whole upstairs is gone), but they've replaced it with an enclosed "Tot Lot" outside of Barnes & Noble. It's also pictured. Currently, there's still a pet shop next to JCPenney, so don't leave until you give the puppies (and maybe two cats) a wave hello...or a new home! With multiple lots and a free parking garage, you're bound to find a parking spot too.

The store is a bit musty, old looking, and derelict. It's no secret JCPenny is on the down swing - this bargain department store has some die hards among the boomers but it's not popular with younger folks. Still, they do have some good sales and cute clothing if you're willing to browse. I only went upstairs to the second floor home section to try to find these pillows. I found them, woooo, and for two it was $230 (insane I know but they're amazing) - the sticker said what looked to be buy one get one free as well as a 35% teacher discount my husband had. So we tried to verify if the signage was right and the coupon could be used. I walked the entire upstairs looking for a register to check/pay and couldn't find one or a single employee working up there. So I had to carry these huge pillows to the first floor - again - walking all around looking for an employee and a place to pay. The ladies at jewelry checked the price but said they had no idea about the sale and couldn't help me - I'd have to go stand in line and they pointed to the SINGLE register for the entire store apparently with like 12 people in line. T-shirts, wallets, keychains, stuffed animals, enamel and button pins, toys, funko Pop products, keychains, random "cool" snacks and small mystery toy boxes, great spot for gifts! They have sections of products with Disney characters, anime, a section of "The OFFICE" products (hey Dunder Mifflin folks,) Friends, Stranger Things, and many others! I only wish they had a Peanuts and Sanrio (Hello Kitty) section as well. Prices - average what you'd pay at other mall stores for licensed character products. They had a special going the day I went - "All items that cost under $10 are buy two, get one free." I did grab a Hi-Chew (Asian starburst type candy,) but said no thanks when I found out it was $4.99. I did end up getting some buttons for my bookbag. Three for $5 with the special. Service was good too! My best summarized description: a less dark Hot Topic, and a non-raunchy, "clean" version of Spencer's, combined with FYE and the Disney Store. Best thing about Box Lunch?
