I shopped the J Crew Factory store in Pembroke Square a few times over the holiday with huge savings up to 70% off. Staff were helpful and friendly on each visit. The selection of items were strong and the store organized. The prices were better than the J Crew Outlet in Norfolk. I found a few sweaters for myself, but passed. A sport coat was too good of a deal to pass up. I still may shop them again before the end of the year. If you like J Crew this is the best time of the year to get deep discounts. read more

I was walking around shopping today for a few dresses for a photo shoot and I wandered in to see if they had a cute denim dress I could use and I found several things on sale here for wonderful prices. Some really cute shrugs and sweaters as well as tops and dresses. Fits right in with Old Navy, Kohl's and Nordstrom Rack to this shopping complex. read more

Moving on Up! Way to step it Pembroke Mall. First Nordstrom Rack, now J. Crew Mercantile (factory store), OH MY! I can already see my paychecks being well spent... Located right next to Bahama Breeze and Old Navy. Can't miss it. Nice, clean, bright and we'll organized. Everything in the store was 40% off today and can get an additional 15% off for you open a credit card. Picked up a new tan wool winter coat for those 19 degree days. J Crew Factory - New! - Men's Clothing Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Like fellow Yelper Elizabeth stated, the surrounding area around Pembroke mall has exploded with new retail stores within the last year. Although I don't think J Crew Mercantile is officially inside the mall, but it is attached to it like Nordstrom Rack, Coastal Edge, etc. I have never actually heard of a "J Crew Mercantile" before so I asked one of the employees and he stated that it's similar to a J Crew Factory in terms of prices but they are a lot more organized and offer the same look and feel as actual J Crew store. I came on Saturday night after black Friday and they were having a 60% off store wide; I am not sure if this was a black Friday deal going on all weekend or if the store always has 60% off. The store was very clean, highly organized and bright. I wish the selection of mens clothes included more outerwear like jackets and winter accessories. I was able to find a really nice and warm button up for $30 when it was originally $75. I can definitely see myself coming back here if their discounts continue. My gf was also able to snag a new plaid long sleeve and a jacket online. The small downside is their shared lot with the rest of the surrounding businesses so parking can be difficult to find during peak hours. read more

I come here for the discounted clothes, because if I came for the customer service I would probably never come again. On every occasion that I've visited (and its been a lot since they opened) I never get greeted by anyone, or ask for help when I need to use the dressing room. Do you know those infomercials that make every small task more dramatic then it needs to be...that was me one time here (just to test them out). I walked in and in the most chipper of Stepford Wife Tone, I greeted the associate standing right next to me, but even with that all I got was a smile and nothing more. On another occasion I had A TON of clothes in my hands and again despite receiving direct eye contact from the associate, was never asked if I needed help. I took the imitative and said, I'll just help myself since you all seem so busy. Passive Aggressive much? Yes, definitely. But come on, this isn't Walmart, its still J Crew. So with that being said, come here for your stuff and leave. If you want actual service, go to the regular J Crew at Macarthur Center. read more

It's nice right now, cause it's new. But like Nordstrom Rack, the novelty wears off. The big difference in this store (versus the factory store in Williamsburg) is that they sell children's clothes. And that's my favorite part of the catalogs, so it's kinda cool to finally see that stuff in person. Because I don't have children, I'll stick with the regular non-factory/"mercantile" store in MacArthur. (They actually greet me there, btw.) But just so you know, this is a good place to kill time if you're waiting to meet friends for dinner in the Town Center. read more

Hello J. CREW Mercantile! Oh how you make me so happy. When I first saw this store at Pembroke Mall, my excitement was off the chain! For anyone who doesn't know what Mercantile is, it's basically an outlet with outlet prices but the style and season is similar to the regular J. CREW retail stores. Every single time I come into this store, someone is always there to greet me with a huge smile. Me personally, I love when people greet me when I come into any retail store. It makes me feel welcomed and comfortable. I love when employees engage with me because it doesn't make me feel like such a bother when I ask them for something that I might need. Majority of the time that I go there, an employee is always asking to set me up with a fitting room while I'm shopping. I love this place. It's probably the only place I've been shopping at lately. Always has great sales and deals, the clothes are so trendy, and the employees are so sweet and genuine. read more

I really love this store. It's so beautiful and new and organized.. but okay.. what J.Crew isn't beautiful and organized. I came here on a Friday night during the holiday season and they had a huge sign out front that said entire store was 60% off (umm...amazing!). I came here to purchase Christmas presents for my mom and I found a little too much. They had tons of their classic cardigan sweaters on sale and they had a good amount of jewelry to choose from. Again, everything was 60% off so that meant even if it was already marked down. I walked away with 3 cardigans, 3 necklaces and 1 pair of earrings for $59. I would say that is a pretty good deal. Oh, and the employees are super helpful and friendly. This location is perfect for the town center area and I will definitely visit this location again and again and again. read more
