I went Kohl's to look for some earrings and jewelry. They had a good selection! I got some nice silver and gold dangly earrings. Staff is friendly. Prices were good. I came across some toy stuffies based off of book characters. I bought some for my young niece for Christmas. I'll definitely be coming back for holiday shopping. They have everything! Kohl's runs consistent sales on merch for the whole family with the convenience of phone/online ordering. This visit was an in-store pickup of such order, purchased with Kohl's cash (their tiered incentive program for dollars spent between various dates). It was the only location that had all of needed items in stock. Neckties for my sons - one black, one blue - and a long sleeve shirt for me totaled $50 but only cost me $6 after Kohl's cash and a sale coupon code. Cool thing was my Kohl's cash had actually expired the previous day BUT the fab customer service reps helped me redeem it! Received an "order pickup ready" email and text message 4 hours after placing the order. Per email, I located the red online order pickup kiosk in the men's department (there was a sign hanging from the ceiling). I showed them my ID, then they scanned the pickup barcode within the email. Employee disappeared for a few minutes, only to reappear with a bag filled with the items I ordered. Total time for online pickup: 5 minutes. Sadly, the shirt appeared small so I attempted to find a bigger size to do an exchange. It was a HOT MESS! Clothes out of place with no apparent order/organization. Some Star Wars graphic hoodies, some flannel shirts, etc. I asked the pickup employee for assistance but she just pointed to the young men's department that I had already looked through unsuccessfully. After aimlessly looking again, I asked her to call an employee over to assist me. He arrived, went to the area I looked in, but couldn't find it either. At long last, out of the corner of my eye, I spotted the long sleeve on a table, buried under a myriad of short sleeve graphic shirts. Total time for finding even swap shirt: 50 minutes. One of the ties appeared a tad different than the online pic, so I continued my in-store quest to find an exchange worthy boys neck tie. Looked around myself and struck out. After I asked an employee, he honestly replied "I don't know but I'll try to help." BEST, HONEST ANSWER!! We eventually did and the exchange at the customer service counter took no time at all with no additional money spent! All in all, a good customer forward facing company with relevant brands and enticing sales, but if you go in store, you're on your own. read more

I'm a fan of Kohl's and I do frequent their stores, but this may have been a first for Chesapeake. If not it's been a long time. The store is really tucked off into a corner off battlefield and I-64. Access is off Battlefield and then you must travel past Walmart. The lot is enormous so parking should not be a problem. My visit in the early AM with a special Christmas opening had me directly in front of the two entrances. I needed a few pair of pants and shoes for an upcoming trip. I was quickly assisted with trousers by a nice staffer who first checked her hand held computer for inventory since I knew what I wanted. She then dug threw the pile and bingo found it. Now onto shoes and again immediately assisted by a female clerk who stayed with me to assist. This is much better service than my normal experience at my local Kohl's in Town Center. Granted they had no business at 830 AM. I found what I was looking for in around 10 minutes. Checkout was good and no issues. This was a top notch experience that was as smooth as could be. read more

Most of my holiday shopping is done online but I visited this Kohl's location for a bit of eleventh hour Christmas shopping. I hadn't been to Kohl's in a couple years and found it pretty much unchanged. Parking is never an issue as it has a huge private lot with plenty of space. The lot appeared to be properly maintained and free of debris, there were no stray shopping carts in the lot and the walk into the store was clear. Kohl's is a spacious department store with wide aisles. Navigating the store is nice and easy, products are presented in an organized manner and there are plenty of nice merchandise displays. On my recent visit I really appreciated the staffing level, it was easy to find an employee to ask a question and checkout lines were very reasonable. Staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient despite the pressures of dealing with the holiday shopping crowds. On this visit I was mostly shopping for some clothing and accessories for my wife and found a huge selection of great quality products at very reasonable prices. As usual, there were plenty of great value promotions and Kohl's seems to always have coupons available. I managed to find a couple of shirts for myself as well and appreciated the comfortable dressing rooms to try them on. A pleasant bonus is the comfortable seating area outside the dressing room so if you are waiting on someone trying on some clothes you have a nice place to sit. Should you find yourself in need of a restroom fear not because the restrooms here are always clean and properly stocked with supplies. I am not a frequent shopper at traditional department stores but Kohl's seems to be better than most and I enjoy just browsing the store. What's not to like about The store! Do you receive 30% off coupons in the mail, they'll give you a scratch or at the register, can you get 10 bucks back on every 50 you spend! Did you buy anything in Kohls without a coupon you got money to burn. This location has everything you need from close to kitchen where the luggage. If they don't have it you can use one of the kiosks and order it online and have it delivered to your house or pick it up in the store. Return policy is exceptionally generous. Oh did I mention they have Godiva chocolate at the checkouts? Yeah they have just about it all and a very reasonable price. read more

Khol's have nice items at really good deals! And do you know they were open 24 hours before Christmas for those last Christmas shopping. Shopping at 2am was the best! But during the other times of the year there's always good stuff and deals as well. I usually shop online and do a store pick up that's available within a couple of hours. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's a huge clearance section that I go to first. Oh...did I mention they be having some good deals?! I frequently purchase clothes for my 4 year old. They also carry a great selection of home goods such as kitchen appliances, bathroom decor and bedroom sets. They have a great selection of toys and not much stock. I took off a star because my cashier was very short and unpleasant. If you're in sales, you should be a people person. Just saying. The Rude employee working in Amazon department on 2/23/2021 at 3:35pm told me with an attitude that I needed to take it with me. Prior to the Pandemic, I frequented this Kohl's location because it is the nearest one to me. For the most part it is always clean and organized although the shopping carts are on the filthy side. Bathrooms are clean and they have a separate family bathroom with a baby changing table. They do not have a nursing room. The shopping carts are strictly for shopping items and not for children. This location generally has everything you need. Check out is typically fast unless it is around the holidays. You can find men, women, and children clothes and shoes here. I can always find what I need for children's birthday gifts as well! They have an assortment of toys for toddlers and older children. We love the book section they have also. Typically the books on display in the front of the store near the registers are books where part of the proceeds go to charity. Come holidays, there is always festive items to buy and deals galore. This store has it all, makeup, work out gear, slippers, pjs, bedding, towels, kitchenware, pretty much anything you need. I especially love their Kohl's Cash which is essentially free money once you spend a certain amount. There are always discounts if you use your Kohl's charge card and they frequently provide coupons which you can usually combine. I love shopping here! If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. Their Sephora employees are absolutely horrible. I couldn't locate one item that I had purchased so when I called, they said bring a receipt which I did. Due to the price of the item, they said they had to review their tapes. Which was fine, because if I had received it that meant I had misplaced it. If I didn't receive it, then I could figure out what happened to it. I wasted gas in traffic to go out of my way to take my receipt to figure out what happened to it I literally could not figure out where it went and I looked everywhere. Well, their tapes showed that it was in my bag. OK no problem at all!!! They could've told me that but instead I hear the lady at the register say yeah, I kind of figured that in the snottiest tone. I have no idea why they would think that I would waste my time going in there, if I knew I had received it. But instead of coming to me while I was still in the store and saying hey, it was in your bag you'll need to look at home to see where it went. They obviously just assume I'm lying which was obvious by the comment made. These employees obviously do not have any respect for their customers, and I will never give my money to this company again and will either order my items online or go somewhere else. Who wants to shop at a store where employees basically call you a liar. For those wondering, I did end up finding the item in a very random place due to my menopause clouded brain. Kohls is always a great place to shop, I like it better than Walmart and comparable stores, although it's often a bit more expensive here than in those other stores. I think it's the overall layout, the clothes they offer for mens clothing and all the cool gadgets that they have here. They don't waste a bunch of space like Walmart does on stuff I don't care about like toys, baby clothing, grocery store stuff, etc. I will say that underwear and socks are much cheaper at Walmart but I love the quality of the shirts and overall clothing here you will find for men much much better than the selection at Walmart. I guess this place is like a more elegant version of Target. This particular store is clean and represents the Kohls brand quite well. Everything is laid out quite nicely and the help is quite friendly as well. I also like the fact that they have enough people working the registers you can get out within 5 minutes or so. The day I went in was a Saturday and they were pretty busy so I may have had to wait a good bit to get checked out if they didn't have enough cashiers but thankfully they had about 5 or 6 lanes open and I was out in no time. If you love Kohls you'll find this one up to standards. I do love Kohls and will be back! read more

I usually go to the location at Landstown, but I decided to go to the Chesapeake location a couple of weekends ago to see if they would have a better selection of maternity clothes. They certainly did (although not by much)! I was able to get a pair or work pants and some capris for the summer. Too bad I couldn't find any maxi dresses though. I took off a star because it was very warm in the store that day. I don't think they had their AC on and the fact that everyone and their mama was at Kohl's didn't help the temperature situation. read more

I don't live in Chesapeake, and I can't say that I really shop at Kohls regularly, but I must say that my experience at this location today was rather pleasant!! I grew up in the old school department stores, which were always very customer service oriented, but unfortunately, some of that seems to have slipped away over the years. I know kohls doesn't really have that same ambience, but today, I definitely felt well looked after! ...Friendly smiles and pleasant, helpful employees during a shopping excursion certainly make ALL the difference, and really do prompt you to spend more money!!! It's relatively expensive compared to similar (or even exact) things online. The no hassle return policy sounds great. The store looks good. The idea of Kohl's cash, however, is not something I am fond of. Why not reduce the prices of inventory instead? Well, I know why they do it, but I don't like it one bit. I have never been so angry with a department store in my entire life. I spent close to $300 on clothes for a new job. I get them home and as usual I take off the tags and wash them. I followed the directions on the tags like I always do. I washed everything in cold on a delicate setting with the spin cycle on low. When I pulled my clothes out everything had shrank at least 5 to 6 inches. I really needed the pieces I bought and now I can't wear them and have to go spend more money to find new ones that hopefully shrink. I use to love this store and now I'm not so sure anymore. I barely found the clothes that I bought because everything was in such a state of disaster. I don't think I will be shopping here anymore. read more

I LOVE THIS STORE! Great for decor and the Laura Ashley towels are fantastic! So why the 4 stars? You have to watch the prices. One week, the prices are high, the next it is half off and then it is buy one, get one free. (pretty much the same as half off depending on what you want to get) If you aren't familiar with Kohls then it may piss you off when you see a piece of metal art go from 75.00 to 35.00 in a few days. Kohl's does not inform customers you must return items to the store and you can't ship items back. I talked with a supervisor who out right lied and said they would send someone to pick up the items I wanted to return. The supervisor (Lizzy) did not care to take care of my problem and transferred me back to the associate who I had to give instructions on what I wanted six times. The first person I spoke with Benjie, he was extremely rude and arrogant. I can't believe Kohl's have their call center intentionally lie to customers regarding returns. It should be clearly stated customer's must return to the store. In addition, I could not find anywhere on the Kohl's site where I can send a complaint or problem other the same customer service people in another country who does not provide customer service. read more

I just recently discovered Kohls Department Store and I love this place. They have everything you could want at really good prices. I have gotten countless items for my bedroom here, like pillows, mattress covers, sheets, comforters, the list goes on and on. But they have items for bathroom, bedroom, art decor, an awesome assortment of candles. I don't really care for the women's clothes that Kohls carries (Candies, Elle, etc). They have shoes for the whole family, and a great assortment of jewelry and makeup. read more

I like shopping at Kohl's, but this location was...well, how do I say it? Meh. The store is clean and the staff are friendly, but the women's clothing section and shoe section were a mess. In their defense, they had a lot of sale racks of both (as well as various other departments), but because of how extremely unorganized they were, I quickly became disinterested. The dressing room was in disarray with garments and jewelry hanging in the rooms and often no one attending it. The prices in the different areas ranged from reasonable to a little pricier than I would have expected. I may go back in this location in a pinch, but they ought to have a peek in the Pembroke location store and get a few ideas on how Kohl's ought to be organized. read more

I was very disappointed in the customer service this evening who I believe was the closing manager, Gail. I frequent this Kohls and have had enjoyable service in the past. Being a retail professional and retail instructor, I find it highly dissapointing how Gail interacted with my husband and I; I started to terminate my transaction mid service. I completely understand daily frusterations, however please take the time to educate Gail on customer service and etiquette when offering or explaining a company benefit. It feels a little odd reviewing a department store, but I had such a good experience here tonight, that I figured, why not? The store was very organized, which helps ALOT. The Kohl's out in Cali was a disaster zone! The employees were super friendly and helpful as well. I loved the changing rooms! They have separate hooks labeled love, like, and return, or something along those lines, which if you go in with a ton like I do, that is very handy. There is no annoying limit as to how many items you can try on at once, and seats outside the changing rooms where husbands like mine can play on their phone while they wait. The sale items were even clearly marked by little digital signs above the racks. This part isn't store specific, but they always offer coupons online (today I got 15% off everything), and I also received $20 in Kohl's cash for next time...that will probably be sooner than later! I don't normally write reviews on stores but after today's experience I thought it was necessary! I will no longer be going to kohls and I will be canceling my kohls charge card today! I went in with 2 returns! The associate dealing with me was nothing but rude and disrespectful. After the transaction was complete I asked to speak to her manager! I explained to the manager that her attitude and rudeness needed some addressing. he told me that she had been dealing with rude customers directly before me and that she hadn't recovered from that spat! I understood and went on about my shopping! While shopping in the children's clothes I overheard the rude associate speaking to another associate while standing in the isle! I heard her telling the other woman "if she had something to say she should have said it to my face" I couldn't believe my ears! She was talking about me to another associate! About that time she was talking about me I walked past and she took off like a bat out of hell and headed for the back room! I preceded to speak with the same manager I had previously spoken with! He told me that he was a embarrassed that she would do that! I am so appalled that she would talk about me in the tone she did! She needs to be fired and I'm sure it won't happen!
