I loooooove Macy's because of the friendliness, the high fashion, the prices, and the displays. I am only 22 years of age and I feel Macy's is timeless and appeals to ALL ages, but this Macy's has left me disappointed. I came into this store to buy my mother some slacks since other stores don't sell them. I was in shock by how the store was unorganized. We couldn't tell which side was for juniors or women because there were no visible signage. Once we were able to find the women's section, we could not tell the difference between plus size and petite because everything was mixed together. This makes it difficult for someone to shop, especially if they are on a budget and pressed for time. I really hope this store gets it together because it may close in the near future. read more

Poor selection, we've seen better. Not sure what's wrong here. Stopped by while passing through, just was not impressed with the selection or the service. It was all un-present, it was a dull and depressing visit for some reason. The sale associates were into themselves (either working together or single handedly) and the music was sad. All reviews for this Macys have something in common and that is service is not very good in this location. No one was around when I was looking at some jackets. When I was ready to be rung I stood at the register for a few minutes before I asked to be rung up. The associate who was ringing me up scanned my item several times and said for some reason the register and that I needed to go the other register to get rung. So I walked over to the other side of the store aand waited the associate never came over. He eventually waved me back over to the original register. Come to find out he just know how to use the register. Only gave them 2 stars because I liked the jacket that I bought. read more

GIFT CARD BUYERS BEWARE! Macys has been having an issue with some internal fraud with gift cards. Someone is stealing gift card numbers and using them. I had a $200 gift card that I tried to use but it was cashed out. The manager at the SF location claims she saw this same problem happen 2 months ago. Fortunately the person that gave me the gift card saved the receipt so we could prove we didnt use it elsewhere. The gift card I received was issued in Arcadia and cashed out in Riverside. My concern is once the back is scratched you can't prove or disprove you didn't spend the cash yourself. My fatty recommendation is to stop using macy's gift card services because they can't keep their shit safe. It took over an hour to get a new card reissued. Buy these gift cards at your own risk. I finally went up to one of them and asked where I can find the foundation and she said "over there, you can grab the one you need in the drawer" I looked at her and walked away. I like Macys Dept. Store and I shop there often. It's difficult to write an accurate review in regards to all Macy's Stores. Depending on the location and type of area that Macy's is at, has a lot to do with what kind of name brands and designers the store will have in stock. At this particular Macy's in Moreno Valley, you won't find everything that other Macy's have in stock. For instance, The Macy's in Orange County and most of LA will normally have just about everything that the company sells, no matter what the price, because people who live in those areas can afford the merchandise. The Moreno Valley Macy's won't carry very much high end merchandise, based on researching how much in particular high priced items are being sold. If you don't want to travel a little and you are looking for merchandise that you know some of the upper scale Macy's have in stock, you can always find anything online at Macys.com or you could possibly go into the local Macy's and have them ship the item from another store. Don't just settle for what is available, when with a little effort, you can buy exactly what you want. All Macy's have great sales and present a peaceful environment for a pleasant shopping experience. read more

Wanting to purchase anything at this MAC counter is like preparing yourself to go to the DMV On a Friday morning. Last experience I had asked a girl for a particular eyeshadow. She grabbed it and told me it would be up at the counter for me. I waited in a long a** line and when I finally went up to the counter this girl tells me she accidentally sold my eyeshadow to the girl in front of me. What's worse? Is that now they're all out! She apologized and insisted on "matching me" with another color. No thank you, sephora here I come. At least there I can grab my products and go stand in line. read more

Few month ago I went to Macy's Moreno valley. I went to domestics dept. (Bedding), I was looking for a duvet for my comforter. I asked a lady for help and she told me we don't carry that. I knew right away she doesn't even know what a" duvet " is.. which is fine , BUT for someone who works in bedding and not know what's a duvet is unbelievable!! and on top of that lie and say we don't carry it !! I looked for myself and I found many duvets. Macy's used to have knowledgeable, caring employees. I enjoyed shopping at Macy's... not anymore !! Few days ago I went to buy a meat grinder attachment for my Kitchen aid stand mixer. This lady named Joanne didn't even know what I was talking about... she told me I have to order it on line because they didn't carry it in the store. I asked to check the price for me... she got on the internet and asked me "which one do you want?" I said, "I thought Kitchen aid has only one." She said "no.. they have 3" I said, " let me see " ..i look at her screen... and I see one for "cuisenart " and 2 for different brands !!!. I looked at her and I said" none of those are for Kitchen aid !!" I got my phone and I checked on the internet and showed it to her... she then checked her computer and told me" riverside has one"..i asked if she can call and have them hold it for me... she got on the phone and was put on hold... few minutes later she asked another employee to take over because she has to go to lunch !! There was 2-3 customers behind me !!! This doesn't even happen at K mart !!! The quality of customer service, the knowledge , the efforts are not there anymore !!! I used to love going into Macy's but lately I have found the customer service to be less than stellar in the shoe department. I've stopped by this department several times and the experience has been similar to this: When I arrived it was as if I was invisible and no one acknowledged my presence. I proceeded to shop even though I was ignored thinking to myself that once I made a selection that someone would acknowledge me. Well I was wrong. I selected a pair of boots which were laying out and positioned myself near the entry door to the back room so that someone could see that I made a selection. Well I was wrong again. Several people walked past me at least five. I then saw someone who was headed my way. I tried to make eye contact and she avoided doing the same. So I said "excuse me do these boots come in wide" and she replied "wide can only be ordered online and the system is down". She then walked away. If I could submit this review with no stars I would. I was there to purchase $200 boots and revived .01 penny service. I would not recommend Macy's Moreno Valley shoe department to anyone. read more

I love this place and i love how it carries the makeup i need. But the other day i purchased some foundation and noticed it was a little too dark so i went back in the next day to exchange it. I had it in the same small bag that they givin me and my boyfriend and i heard the lady at the cash register tell the other girl to "watch my bag" as if we were stealing. I came in straight to the executive office to drop off my resume because I applied online and nothing was open. But I wanted to be proactive and leave a resume anyway. What I came upon was four obese managers in the office who were not even willing to pretend to take a look at my resume, but kept pushing me off as if I was a burden to them. Take in mind that I was a GM at Macy's in 2006, and I left the company because I was disapproving of their ethics. Before going to the office I had already walked the floor of the entire store looking for a manager but did not find one on duty but found them all huddled in the office and not at a meeting. Shame on you! For always expecting and pushing your associates to push and push and push while your lazy managers are up in their office pretending to be busy and blaming their own associates for their weekness. This is why I left the company in the first place because I didn't want to be a part of a company who doesn't value its employees. This company is based on lies! Mac cosmetics is the worst!!! I stayed in the lipstick area for 15 min looking at them and trying them on myself! I went to the counter to grab someone's attention 3 of the girls just walked away from me until I said excuse me! Then they said someone will be righ with me. One of the girls finally came to help me she said sit down in the chair I can help you get color match! I wait 5 ,10 ,15 min and nobody made eye contact with me until I asked the girl color matching someone which was next to me where did the darker color girl go and she said oh she probably went on lunch!!! So I waited 20 min in a chair for no reason! This review is strictly for impulse beauty. For about 3 days now, I've been trying to track down a makeup brush by Anastasia. The first time coming in, I asked, the gentleman at the counter let me know that he has to wait for his manager to check, and that she is upstairs taking her lunch. It was around 10:30am. I did some shopping and came back around 11:20am and asked if she was back. Another girl was at the counter and said she wasn't here today and asked what I needed. I explained the situation. She went ahead and checked the bottom drawers of stock that they have and said we didn't have any. She went ahead and checked the system and it said they have X amount in stock and to call back later because they can't check if it's in stock. I said OK thanked her, and left. I called back around 1pm as told and I guess I got another girl and I had to once again explain the situation. I didn't mind, and I did so. She said she would check the bottom drawers and see, and unfortunately there weren't any. 2 days later, today, I call and ask to place a Palette and hold and if they have it, then brush on hold as well. I was told they had the brush and to come in within the next 48 hours. I came in and yet another cashier greeted me and said they have the Palette but not the brush. That kind of bothered me since they said they did, but I tried to let it go. I explained how inconvenient this is, and they don't really seem to care. Tried to return an item bought at another Macy's store. Lady refused to even try and return it as they don't have it at that store. She was at the customer service counter. For customer service she was horrible. Then told me I had to drive 125 miles back to the store it was purchased from. I had the item and the gift receipt but still would not even scan it at all. I went to another counter in the kids section and she returned it and gave me the money no problem. Seems like the customer service lady was just to lazy to do her job and just wants to collect her check for doing no work. If she swore it could not be returned without scanning it, how was another lady at a different counter able to do it? Why even have a customer service deck if they don't even scan it and try and help customers? LAZY workers who do not want to even do their job. Only have it 2 stars instead of 1 since another lady there knows she is being paid to help customers and actually helped me. First and last time at this Macy's. This review is for the makeup department, specifically the MAC counter. I recently went to the MAC counter. There were 2 ladies working there. One was helping a customer the other just stood there at the other end of the counter from where I was waiting. She saw me standing there waiting to be helped but didn't do anything so I thought maybe she was just an assistant or something, I don't know. So then another customer walks up and this woman helps her right away! So now they're both helping other customers as I continue to wait. Other customers one by one walk up to the counter and all them only have to wait a few moments before being helped. I literally stood there at the counter for at least 45 minutes with not one person asking me if I needed help! I was completely and intentionally ignored! I finally just walked away without ever being helped! And no one cared. The other problem is that at other Macy's locations if an employee from another counter or general employee sees that a customer isn't being helped, they usually try to help them. Not this place! I have never been so angry trying to shop before! read more

Worst customer service ever! Before you hire cashiers, make sure they are trained to do simple things like scanning barcodes! I was ready to get behind the register myself because the girl who was working there didn't know how to scan our items. We had to come back a second time because she overcharged us, then she didn't know what to do to fix it, so I had to tell her that she needed to issue a refund first then rescan the items! It took us about 45 minutes to fix her mistake and when the manager finally came, she didn't even apologize for what her employee did wrong. On top of that, they took our $25 coupon for the first transaction and said that they couldn't give us the $25 off anymore because it didn't apply to our purchase after the mistake had been fixed. Since the girl already threw away our coupon, my mom had to call Macy's customer service and beg them to mail her a new $25 coupon. I wish that was all...when I got home to remove the tags from the clothes I had bought, there were three ink release tags latched on to my items! The girl forgot to remove them! I will never shop at Macy's in Moreno Valley again. Please reconsider the positions of an employee named Marina and her manager, Jessica. read more

One lady on the floor was working with a customer & told me she'd be right with me. No problem. There were a couple other ladies working there, but most of them were chit chatting, I didn't know if they were on the clock or not, so I decided that I would let them come to me. I was holding the product that I wanted to purchase for a good 20 minutes, walking around trying to get the others attention. Finally, one of the ladies that have been chit chatting came to approach me & asked if I needed help. Well duh. I told her, "yeah, I want to buy this product but I'm not sure what color I am." She took the product out of my hands and replied, "oh this looks fine." & I was like, "oh okay, it's not too light or dark?" I wanted her to try it on me and show me. It's her job to find me my shade. She replied, "nope, it's fine to me." I thought whatever. I bought it anyways. I'm just annoyed that these ladies were talking to each other for 20 minutes and when they decided to help me she just shooed me off, wouldn't even try the product on me. Order online or go to Tyler. My mother, along with my whole family are frequent shoppers @Macys & we've never had an issue like this recent one. *story behind the review* My mom purchased a ring for herself on Black Friday for $1200 with change.... she loved the ring! She did remove the tag but never actually wore the ring as she was saving it for Christmas. Couple days later my dad surprises her with an almost similar ring, one of better quality & certified. My mom then decides to return the ring she originally bought, since it wasn't used... today she goes into Macys & was assisted by KENNY who through out the whole interaction is rude, speaks condescendingly to my mom & also implies she couldn't afford the ring & that is the true reason for return. Lol oh KENNY, I promise you sweetie nothing is furtherest from the truth but we'll let you think that. My mom was ok with the fact of not being able to return the ring due to the return policy being all merchandise must have original tags. But when she asked for a phone # to form a complaint about KENNY'S awful customer service she was denied & given a false number. The problem here KENNY & Macys isn't the fact that we couldn't return the ring, it's where do you get off profiling people & making assumptions of people's finances & blatantly being rude about it???!!!! This review is for the MAC inside of this Macy's. The girls are extremely rude and lazy. I seriously stopped going there and even buying the product because of them. I once waited 15 minutes to get help by the lipstick section and nothing. So I gave up and waited in line at the register and was finally attended. I told the girl I wanted a Ruby Woo lipstick (which wasn't even for me) and started ARGUING with me about how I'm supposed to have a lip liner or lip brush or else I CAN'T WEAR THIS PRODUCT. My family and I are very frequent shoppers at Macy's, almost everything we have is from Macy's. So last week, I go and not only did I wait over 30 mins in line, which is already ridiculous for Macy's, but when I asked the cashier if she can request some back up she rudely said that everyone was busy on the floor. My issue is: I was never thanked for being patient after waiting so long in line. She did not apologize for it. I was given attitude when I asked, politely, if she can get back up. But the biggest issue was I was the ONLY person in freaking line! She took that long on 1 customer. I mean PLEASE can you properly train employees or can they be instructed to request back up when their customers have been waiting more than a certain amount of time. Annnd her name tag was not visible, this was in the children's dept. young chick with light brown shoulder length hair. Also this is not the first time I receive poor customer service, I had an associate at the sunglass dept. ignore me for 30 mins while she chatted about her personal life. I was returning a pair of Anne Klein shoes because I changed my mind and would love to replace it with Michael Kors. I was patiently waiting in line and was actually impressed by the Cashier's way of treating Macy's customers. He was very friendly , he spent some quality time with the American couple and ending it with a nice handshakes and smile on his face. He spent 15 minutes to ring the American couple. So there I was, am next in line after 15 minutes of listening to his very friendly treatment. That's why I was so surprised when he did not even look at me and pretended that he did not see me when I was right behind of the American couple. He left the cash register without acknowledging my presence and telling me that he will be right with me or at least say Thank You for waiting and I will help you in a moment. That would have been fine with me because I am the most patient customer Macy's could ever have. By the way, I only shop at Macy's wohen I'm home here in Moreno Valley. I usually go to Rodeo Drive to get my stuff. It may not sound real just for the fact that I live in Moreno aka Moron Valley. I lived in Woodland Hills for quite sometime but decided to move here so I can be closer to my Sister. I paid my Moreno Valley house cash and in full. Everything I've said here can be verified through the Public Records. I kept mentioning AMERICAN couple because I couldn't justify why he treated me like I was an invisible woman. I could have waited another 15 minutes if he really had to go to attend on something or maybe a lunch break. What angered me is he went to the bench where my teenagers were seated and LOUDLY ask them if anybody needs help in finding their shoe sizes. I felt so violated and insulted when I was still standing at his cash register. By the way, I am a Filipino and I don't dress fancy when I'm shopping in Moreno Valley for an obvious reasons. So there, those are the possibilities why he did what he did. I am ASIAN and I looked like spending my welfare money at Macy's. I got so angry and followed him to ask for a Supervisor since his behaviors were NOT ACCEPTABLE! He told me that he is the Supervisor and the Store Manager which I did not buy cos a Boss will never act like that and jeopardize the company's name. His name is TOMMY W. and was manning the Finish Line of your Shoes Department. I may be just one of your millions of customers and my concern will not matter but with this incident, you just lost a VERY VALUABLE CUSTOMER unless disciplinary actions are taken.
