Be extremely careful using "Star Money" rewards here. I bought an online item for ~$35, got a $10 reward, and used it on an in-store item (paying ~$25). My total credit card out-of-pocket spend was ~$60. Because the product wasn't as advertised, I returned both items at this store. The return system glitched and only refunded me ~$50 total, essentially keeping ~$10 of my actual money. To make it worse, I escalated this to an online customer service supervisor who acknowledged the software glitch but refused to do a manual adjustment because I "didn't have a prior purchases with Macy's." Unbelievable. Denying a factual refund based on loyalty metrics is crooked. Corporate needs to audit this and contact me immediately. read more

had the displeasure of witnessing an employee in the restroom--showing absolutely no respect for customers--take off her socks to wash her feet in the sink. I've recently had a bad experience with an online purchase at Macy's. I never received my order but because tracking shows it was delivered, Macy's refuses to do anything to credit or reship the item. Ive contacted them three times about it and they refuse to help. I've never had such lousy customer service from a major retailer. I won't be purchasing from them again and will spread the word to everyone I know. read more

I arrive with my teenage daughter on Friday evening to buy her some shoes for her birthday party the next day. Macy's tend to have good deals on shoes and clothes sometimes. I'm hopeful! They do! Yay! Great shoes with even better prices. The problem: Friday evening+crazy crowds - employees= a LONG wait to get the shoes her size and for her to try them on... After 30 mins or so finally two employees start working the floor and they were back and forth. We get the shoes the teenager loves them and now another line to pay for the shoes. Finally we paid them and we tried to walk out and on to the mall but I have to admit I love sightseeing at Macy's. The purses, perfumes, kitchen items and the clothes got me all cray to shop some more. But then I remembered I was throwing a dinner to party to my 15 y/o the next day so I decided to leave without buying more! The things we do for our babies!! read more

Cosmetic department needs much improvement. I was excited to try a new foundation & concealer. I wanted to get color matched for the Too Face Born this Way foundation & concealer. After only seeing two workers. I finally got the attention of one. I told her what I wanted & she kept trying to get me to try Mac brand. I know it's new to Macys. But that is NOT what I wanted. When I said I wanted to get color matched. She literally gave me two sponges for me to do myself. Not what I was expecting from a well known department store. I threw them in the trash and walked out. Plus super disappointed in the display. Hardly any inventory available. Headed to Ulta where I was matched by their beauty experts. So disappointed in MACEYS! Went early Black Friday shopping at Stonebriar mall on Thanksgiving. When I went to purchase a gift set of La Vie Estebell perfume by Lancôme I was shocked to be told the 3 prices on the box were not what they portrayed them to be. The first sales clerk, Carrie was quite rude about it and said she had to add two sticker prices together or break up the gift box set. I followed up with a manager on my to get more double talk. Called at approximately 1015 am on Saturday. Unfortunately I was unable to get a hold of anyone in the furniture/mattress department. I was forced to leave a voicemail. They did not respond to me until 8:16 PM. Ridiculous when I wanted to buy a mattress so I went elsewhere. Couldn't Wait all day for them to call me back, beware! I went to Macy on 12/26 at 6:30pm. The employee, Erika, was in charge of the Lancôme area. I showed her a Lancome promotion 20% off from the Macy's website. She said: "Where is it? Is it from Macy's website? Let me check." DID NOT Erika know about the promotion that was under her duty? I checked online, and Macy could give me a gift if I buy over $100. I asked Erika. Then, she replied that she did NOT have a gift there. I asked her to send me a gift if she did not them in the store. She told me if I want a gift, go online. Long story short, I've been here in Texas since April, needed to get prepared for work needing shirts and etc . Have been a Macy's customer when I lived in the Midwest and wasn't bad so I had no issues grabbing my clothes before here . Lady was SO RUDE and acted like I should know where everything was and acted like I didn't belong there, 2nd and 3rd time were both UNWELCOMING and never could find help, and it never went any better . YOU WILL SEE ME SPEND MORE MONEY WHERE I CAN LEGIBLY GET SERVICE NEXT DOOR OR ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE ! My verdict ? Go anywhere but here . Useless people to where I might as well self-serve myself if I wanted to get something that bad from Macy's . Seriously corporate needs to train these people again . Horrible experience today at the jewelry department, the lady that "assisted" me was extremely condescending. Went there to look for a Christmas gift for my mom, I was in the mind set "if I like it I'll buy it "... she keep insisting on wanting to know what my budget was, she wouldn't stop until I said an amount, after I said the amount she directed me to the fantasy jewelry that's in the middle of the isles. I was ready to spend whatever amount it cost whatever I liked. Price was not an issue. After I told her that those items were not what I was looking for she then proceeded to tell me about the sterling silver jewelry on the other side of the counter, as she walked away I followed her and she didn't realize I was behind her when she approached another coworker and started to make fun of me, to her luck the coworker made it even more obvious when she looked at me and started laughing. I got very upset and walked away after she asked if I still wanted to see the jewelry. I said no and walked away to complain at another salesperson, expressing how rude and lack of costumer service his coworker had by making fun of what I wanted to buy. I could not find anyone working there to help me with looking for sizes or to checkout. I am new to the area and usually shop at the Macy's NorthPark. So I actually worked at this Macy's as a seasonal employee during the 2016- 2017 holiday season. Over all my job was not horrible I worked merchandising for the home department my only complaint about the actual work itself however, is that I had a manager who seemed to just dislike me and therefor would schedule me to come in at 5 in the morning at the age of 17 while I was in high school despite the fact that it wasn't in my availability to do so. And if I didn't show up I ran the risk of getting fired. For all those who have stated that they could never find some one to check them out, that's because they would only schedule like 5 people to work registers on the whole second floor. I wish I were kidding. I wasn't even allowed to help people check out despite the fact that I was capable for fear of again losing my job as I had been yelled at over it once or twice. CS on the 2nd floor is slow! The women are often snarky, rude. No need to say ma'am 10 times in 30 seconds, with snarky attitudes! Dont even say ma'am - just thanks. Many customers have NO clue how to return - then take 2 minutes to get their wallet oor other info out. One gal brought something back with no tags. CS warned her they cant accept it next time. Luggage - 2 female associates acted annoyed to be asked the price of a piece. Luggage had no price tags! She said there is a self scanner - but I dont have 30 min. to look for it. This is pretty much your standard Macy's. Service is all over the place. I've had some of the nicest people as well as the worst. They have a pretty decent selection and it's easy to maneuver the store. They always have huge clearance racks and you can find some pretty sweet deals in there. I once found a Ralph Lauren polo for my husband knocked down to $19.99. I had to scan it to ensure it was really that low. The shoe department is always a hot mess though. I don't even bother looking for shoes here because it's always packed, shoes strewn about the floors, and you can't find anyone to assist you in the mayhem of shoe-topia. They have a really sad selection of athletic shoes as well as mens shoes. And who knew that Macy's doesn't carry childrens shoes? Never realized that until recently. read more

I've been to over dozen Macy's from New York to Guam and the one at Stonebriar has to be one of the worst. I get that it is close to Christmas and things can get hectic. They have a lot of nice things but it is so disorderly in this store. Clothes are just jammed onto racks you can barely pull one out so items have just fallen to the ground to get trampled on. It is hard to find specific brands because everything is just jumbled together. This store is just one big overcrowded mess. I came on a Tuesday afternoon and every register had 3-4 customers waiting with frazzled cashiers struggling with returns and Macy's coupons. I'll revisit them again after the holidays but if things don't get better, there are other retail shopping options. read more

This is a decent Macy's location - nothing particularly special about the store. As always with Macy's stores, there are great deals if you come on the right days. Some departments, such as men's suits/shirts/shoes have sufficient staff, while others, such as athletic clothing or cooking supplies are usually understaffed and it can be quite a chore to find someone to assist with questions. None of this is atypical for department stores though. One gripe I have is that I wear an 18/36 dress shirt, so I am stuck buying my shirts in the back "larger sizes" rack where I spent far more time than needed trying to find shirts that are actually larger sized. They should do a better job maintaining the racks since they turn into dumping grounds for any shirt anyone picks up and decides not to purchase. Oh and... no, I would not like to open a Macy's credit card account to save 20% - thanks for asking me every time I stop by. read more

I really wanted to order a pair of shoes I liked but thought they were too expensive. I looked online to see if I could find a better price. I found them for half the price at Macy's. I decided to place an order. I received the box two days later which is pretty fast. I was happy with the fact that I received my order so quickly and for half the price. However.......when I opened the box and looked at the shoes it was clear that someone had worn them for quite some time and returned them to Macy's. The bottoms of the shoes were dirty and inside the heel of one shoe had dirt on them. The inside of the shoe!! I'm usually not a snob as I know people try on shoes and scuffs can happen. But did anyone even look at these before sending them to me?!! If you need to wait a few days and get a nicer clean pair from another store, let me know. I can wait, it's ok. I cant believe that no one has said this yet but there is a giant cell phone dead zone that covers most of this store! If you are intending on using a coupon from your email you better pull it up before you enter the dreaded cell phone DEAD ZONE! LOL But eh..the store is always packed and the sale racks are always trashed and full of damaged clothing. So...if you shop the sales make sure to really look over your pieces and double check that you have ALL of the pieces included with your garment purchase. However the non sale racks always look nice. I like this Macy's quite a bit for clothing. They seem to have a larger selection of women's clothing here - specifically dresses. The store, overall, is just fine. This is review is mainly about the furniture section. We recently went to the furniture department and, unfortunately, we were a little disappointed by the selection and general appearance of the area. The lights are dim and no one came to greet us or offer help. After wandering around and pawing through the rugs for about 10 minutes, we noticed an older gentleman sitting at his desk about 50 feet away. He never said anything to us until we walked past him. The selection is rather small and although they had some nice pieces, there was nothing remarkable about it. Other Macy's locations that I have been to, have had a little better presentation on their furniture, so I was somewhat surprised by this one. read more

Ginger at the jewelry counter is wonderful. She was helpful and accommodating unlike her co-worker. I had been looking for twenty minutes with the help of another saleswoman who had misled me saying I couldn't get a chain in gold (I said it didn't need 100%, coated was really what I was looking for) for under $200... I left feeling disappointed, and as I was wandering out I say chains that were exactly what I was looking poking for- on sale under $100. Got what I was looking for with Ginger's help for under $30. Impressed with her but I had to find what I wanted by myself-kind of kills my trust in sales people here... And I'm a card member- Macy's generally is my favorite place to shop read more

I waited in the men's she department for over 30 minutes with no service. I went to several associates who all told me that someone was on the way. I spoke with the manager who told me the employees were all on break and that someone was on the way. No one came. The manager did not try to assist me or any of the other customers who were waiting. The store was a complete mess and I will never be shopping here again. This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. read more
