The absolute worst Macy's I've ever shopped at. I was shopping for over 2 hours and was never offered help. When I finally asked for help I was treated as if I was an inconvenience to the employees. I placed a dress on hold in the formal dress department and came back an hour later around 8:30 pm and couldn't find any employees in that department, or my dress. Closed my credit account with Macy's today - not over petty boycott politics, but because you reset my account "Your macys.com profile was locked for security reasons. To unlock your profile, you must create a new password. A link with instructions on how to reset your password was sent to the email address associated with your profile." - except I didn't reset it in time and your site wouldn't send another email and the password link wouldn't work for that kind of reset. 30 minutes on the phone trying to explain this with zero help from customer service means I gave up and closed my account. Awesome. Customer service can close my account, but not reset my internet access to it. Super secure. If you stop selling Ivanka's line, I'll never set foot into Macy's again. read more

The store is always trashed and sales people suck. I went in during the Christmas holidays to purchase some perfume. Went to the Lancome counter to make a purchase. I must admit I wasn't looking my best. The Lancome counter lady says to me, "these are very expensive. Are you sure you want these?" Ummm excuse me??? My father spent 10 minutes in the men's shoe area before I got there. Meanwhile two employees were 10 feet away neither ever asked him if he needed help. Once I got there about 5 more minutes and nothing. I had to go up to them and ask for help. Not only that the man that "helped" had the worst attitude, not friendly in ANY way! Several people working in the clothing department, but only one of them is capable of going in the back to look at boxes for shoes that you want. One guy cannot find shoes or ring up a sale. Horrible service. Every time you go to a register they tell you they can't help you and to go to a different register.

Pathetic customer service. I went there to return an unused bottle of Bleu de Chanel as I didn't like the fragrance very much. They refused refund because the outer plastic cover was open. According to them, they couldn't resell it so they would not return and refund the item! This is completely against Macy's policies! Way to go Macy's. Because of your staff at the Frisco Stonebriar outlet, you have LOST one of your biggest promoter and proponent!!!! 2 women in particular were really bad in customer service. One at the men's perfume counter and the other, an older lady at the customer service counter. They were just outright rude and unprofessional! read more

Store employees could care less if you need help. Men's restroom had 6 toilets all of which were stopped up and overflowing poop onto the floor. Told the lady at the service counter on the 2nd floor. She call a male on the phone to report it. I could hear him literally yelling at her over the phone "I'm not going to call a manager out for that !!" Her reply was "You're probably going to have to shut it down." I turned to walk away and could still hear the guy screaming at her. My wife went into the lady's room on the 1st floor and toilets would not flush there either. Guess the manager doesn't need to know about that either. read more

Went to Macys to purchase a mattress. Knew exactly what I wanted literally just needed someone to ring it up. No one in the furniture department so I went to the nearest register, she said she could not help me and sent me to a register in housewares. That salesperson also said they could not help but pages someone to furniture. Went back to furniture and waited and waited...15 minutes no one came another customer also wanted to purchase something and she was also trying to get help. Went to customer service they told me they could not help either they paged again for someone and I again went back and waited another 10 mins...no one showed up. Went back to housewares and asked her to page the store manager. She tried the store manager, she again tried to page someone to furniture, she walked back there herself and could not get anyone to help me. I left frustrated and without a mattress. Would have been an easy sale for anyone that wanted to help. Their customer service department is a joke. You would think in this period we are in they would be grateful for a sale but I guess not.... read more

Rhonda in the furniture department is hands down one of the kindest and goes above and beyond to assist her customers. I don't think that I will ever need to go anywhere else for furniture. I ordered a pressure cooker online and when i opened the box the pressure cooker has a big dent. I was disappointed to receive the defective merchandise and decided to exchange at local store. I stood in line with big box in hand for return, waiting to ask the lady behind the counter to finish checking out customer ahead of me, i noticed that the employees were really slow moving. About five minutes passed, me standing there with a big and heavy box in my hand. The cashier looks at me and looks away and cringes. Im thinking, "are you serious? do you think im blind and didnt see that cringe?" Well i get to the counter and she moves away to help customer behind me to help her find some sheets..The customer behind me told the counter lady "why don't you check out this lady first then help me" and she replied "No, its OK". . ARE YOU SERIOUS? ITS OK TO SELECT WHICH CUSTOMER YOU WANT TO HELP BASED ON THE COLOR OF THIER SKIN AND HOW THEY LOOK...lNOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE???? This is such a sad excuse for a macys. The clothes are ALWAS on the floor or in the wrong section. The clothes are never organized on the shelves either. The bathrooms are the worst I've Ever seen! We went to macy on super saturday to look for clearance clothes. When we went to checkout, we tried using a 20% coupon but the cashier said i cant use the coupon on clearance items but whatever. Then we found a shirt with no tag that we found in the clearance area and when we went to go check that out, the cashier, without asking any managers or searching it up, she stubbornly says i have to pay the original price for this item and she was sure the item was not clearance. This particular Macy's is nothing particularly spectacular but nothing particularly terrible. They do tend to get quite disorganized due to the largeness of the store and people walking around and shopping from area to area. The clothes racks can tend to get a little crammed together when they have more products and it can get a little messy. However, the clearance section is some of the best clearance I have seen, and they always have generous sales, allowing you to shop easily. The service also tends to be very good, as there are registers all over the store, allowing for an employee to be available at most moments. The employees tend to be nice and friendly, but it is not the most consistent customer service ever. They do try their hardest to make it a pleasant shopping experience though, and they have quality products. read more

Recently my wife encounter a horrific experience from one of the traditional style representative who was impatient, no propet skills in honoring coupon, wasted 30 mins and then literary threw her stuff due to frustration and walked away. I used to love Macy's and it was my go to store, the last several months that I have gone there it looks more like a low end discount store. The store is a mess, with clothes scattered all over the place, in the dressing rooms I literally carried two stacks of clothes out of there just so I could try things on. I wen to this Macy's with my parents to buy some Estee Lauder makeups. Our final purchase was about $801, so the sales lady started to encourage me to open a macy's credit card so that I could get 20% off on $801. Oh yeah, she kept telling me the final bill would be around $640. Sounds great, so I opened one credit card. Two weeks later, when I checked the bill online, it is about $701, rather than $640, so I called Macy's credit card service. They told me that I could save 20%off up to a total of $100. There was no way to save 20% off from $800, which would be around $160. Well, I appreciated the help from that credit card service lady, who explained everything in DETAILS to me. About that sales lady, she should be fired forever !!! WTF !!! If you don't know anything about what you talking about, please just shut the fuck up !!! I bought a cute pair of Michael Kors boots and they last maybe 6 mos. I went to Macy's tonight to see if they would replace, however, they don't carrier them anymore. So I wanted my money back. The manager over that area said they don't return used shoes anymore!! Plus, the manager needs a lesson in Customer Service. They said they wouldn't be able to see those shoes. Of course not they ripped. They should send them back to the manufacture to let them know they need to revisit the making of those shoes. I paid a lot for those boots!! It nice to know they don't stand by their product. At least Nordstrom's stands by their products. I have bought a lot of items at Macy over the years. I will never step into another Macys stores. Went today for children's dress clothes. Clothes on the floor everywhere. Displays in complete disarray. No staff to help beyond someone at the cash register. Dressing rooms were a disaster, and smelled bad. Got home after purchasing a blazer for my son and found they had left the security tag on the item. Very frustrated. read more

I love Macy's. It is my favorite shopping department of all time. However, I have to give 1 star at this Macy's at Stone Briar Mall in Frisco. I went inside to shop for my mom makeup. I stopped at this display of Estee Lauder gift set and thought it was very pretty. Since my mom doesn't live in America, I decided to take a picture of it so i could show her later on. I usually do that on everything because i want to make sure she likes it. All of sudden these two blond ladies came up to me with very ugly look. Looked at me all ugly and said "You are not allowed to take picture here? What are you planning to do? Are you trying to copy it? why are you taking picture?" I was freaking shocked by all these attacking from them. I said "well, i want my mom to see this becuase she doenst live here. And I dont know i'm not allow to take photos in store, plus, if i plan to copy stuff, i Could just go online and pictures are all over internet, i didnt have to come in here to do this in front of you." Regardless whatever i said, they kept questioning me with all these doubts "are you sure? do you even have MAcys' credit card? are you sure you do?" I started get even more angrier. I told them is this how they treat their customers instead of saying it nicely. After they saw i was upset and they changed their attitude and told me "we 're just messing with you,and we have a lot of Asian customers." What the heck does that even mean? This is so retarded, and racist. Do they assume i might stealing their ideas because i'm Asian? and they accused me for something they don't even know about. I don't care if it's a joke. Monday I was shopping in the ladies shoe department and my husband and I noticed the most disturbing thing with one of the employees. I was in disbelief to find out that he was higher up (in more ways than one) than a sales associate. I kept repeatedly hearing a dry cough every few seconds, constant sniffling, unusual throat sounds (as if he were dry heaving), and once I got closer I noticed he kept chattering his teeth. I sat and watched for a few more minutes and noticed he we was real fidgety and kept pacing. All of the other employees seemed very uncomfortable and so did the other customers. Customers kept asking him was he ok, because it was very apparent that he was not. I asked one of the employees if they drug test during the application process and was shocked to find out that Macy's does not. Now I can see how he is working there with that type of druggie behavior. Everyone else can see it, but clearly whoever interviewed and hired him did not. Makes me question what is going on behind corporate's closed doors. I understand he needs a job to fund his toxic habit, but don't let him bring your store down. I didn't feel like I was shopping at Macy's but I definitely recognize that feeling when I shop at Wal-Mart...late at night. As tough as this is to say I will be taking my money to Sears (and Sears hasn't seen a customer in decades).
