I love this Macys. The store is big with great selections at a amazing price. There is discounts all the time. The store has greatly improved since I shopped there when I was a kid. To all the people complaining about this place, I understand your views of this Macy's. However, sometimes as customers, we can cut them a break. Everyone seems to be doing there best to help and I can vividly see improvement. The mess is bad sometimes because there are just so many people shopping and leaving stuff all over the place. Here is a tip for the Customer Service staff. When you ask a non-English speaking person if they want to apply for a Macy's credit card, make sure there is someone else at the register to deal with the growing line of frustrated customers behind them. Especially when the credit applicant's wife keeps bringing things to the register to try on, while everything has to be translated and explained. read more

I can't rave enough about a girl named Katherin who works at Lancôme. I went in to buy a foundation and she was such a great help. She erased allmy makeup and sat me down to make sure the foundation color matched my skin color. She then showed me their new peeling serum (with the two different phases) and showed me actual pictures of her face after she used it. She never pushed me to buy it or anything. She was just sharing her knowledge with me. I ended up buying it with the stick foundation and my skin cleared up so much and my dark spots cleared up immensely. She is such a sweet lady who really cares about her customers skin and never forces or pushes you to buy anything if you don't want to. I told her I'll come back with no makeup just to show her my skin. If you ever need anything from Lancôme- ask for Katherin. She's amazing. read more

Definitely not the best queens location, but not the worst. Every time I go to the MAC counter, the service is consistently quick and efficient. Yesterday I went to pick up a highlighter and the associate was friendly and helpful in finding the right product for me. She didn't make me buy anything else to go with the product and gave me time to look around before ringing me up. This is what the service should be like art all MAC locations. read more

This Macy's is right by 7 train & bunch of buses & taxi stand. Therefore you really don't need.. no.. You REALLY should not bring your car since the traffic conditions (cars & people) are crazy. Decor is what you'll typically see at many Dept stores. Elevators are bit dirty and slow & escalators are not functioning sometimes. But biggest problem is the lack of cashiers & customer service. Whether you're returning an item, picking up items purchased online, or just have questions, help is so hard to find. They'll open up like 1-2 registers for entire floor while other associates do.. stuff. I'm not saying thety shouldn't fold clothes left messy by customers but if you see a long line, get back to clear it before heading back. Customers don't want to stare aimlessly at nothing. I had the best experience here Monday 10/12/15. It was 9:15pm and I just went on a whim to buy a new electric blanket. I was told go upstairs... and I was greeted by the helpful louona (? I think thats close a spelling, louna? ) she not only showed me all the different blankets but she knew I was sad they were realy expensive. She assured me they were on sale, and checked 10 or so of them scanning the sale prices... we found one that had been $100, marked to $70something.... and she ended up letting me nab it for $43!!!! Coupon, gift card.... she nailed the savings AND was extremely helpful and sweet- even though I came in near closing. Id recommend this location they have great employees. There was a young women named Kisha or Ikisha trying to remember her name, she gave me such great service I'm still shocked. She went out her way to let me know where the beach towels were aswell suggest which colors look best with my swimsuit. I'm so pleases with her service. After reading all the negative posts, I figure I'd cut Macy's a little bit of slack. Yes, the store may be messy in terms of clothes, but some of the other departments are neat and doesn't look as if a tornado hit. I especially love the bedding department when I occassionally buy new comforters for our home. The overall sale prices are great and you can't beat some of the discounts. I went to this Macy's to try to return a pair of Ray-bans I ordered from Macy's online. The return policy did not say I can't return it in-store and I confirmed with a customer service rep through e-mail that I can return it. Therefore, the sales associate at the sunglass hut in Macy's clearly lied to me saying that they stopped accepting sunglass returns since last year. She claimed that they only accept it if it was purchased from their specific store which also is probably a lie. I feel strongly that she did not want to process my return (maybe it will make her look bad, who knows?). But what a waste of my time. I went into Macy's in Flushing on Saturday September 30th at 11:15 in the morning. I wanted to buy a few jackets for the fall. Before I was going to start shopping I went to the bathroom. I went to wash NY hands. Is Macy's doing so bad financially that they can not afford soap. I went to wash my hands and there was no soap. I walked right out. I will not shop in a store that does not have soap in the bathroom. Macy's is going to get there customers and employees sick because there is no soap in the Means Room. go to their clearance section! mens additional 50-70% off. found insane deals - 5 linen sports coats normally 300+ for under 40$ a piece. didn't get to do too much exploring of the store itself but man, the clearance area for men was a huge hit. went to the womens section and it was so so- NOTHING compared to the mens side. The layout of the store is confusing too. you have the ladies section spread out across 3 floors. There's only one section for men and that's in the basement. The Flushing Macy's store is very messy, merchandise all over the place, especially clothing on the floor in women's departments, shoes scattered everywhere on the floor. Went shoe shopping today and couldn't find an empty seat to try on shoes! Looks like there are many people who spend the day there just hanging out. Sales rep said it's the same people who spend the entire day sitting in the shoe department. I've seen people eating sandwiches and food in containers, like they brought a packed lunch from home! I've seen people dropping orange peels and nut shells on the floor. People taking up seats with luggage like they're waiting for a bus. Sales reps are unfazed, they could care less. Macys is always a great place to go when you want quality and variety. I was visiting my daughter who lives in Flushing queens. I decided to do a little shopping at Macys. I walked in to the cosmetics area. I was looking at some things and noticed a 30ish Asian man following my every step. I went up to the second floor and was in Ralph Lauren dept and low and behold there was that same man right there. I said wow!! do I look like I am on a spree to shop lift. I walked over to the shoes with 3 shirts over my arm that I intended to purchase. I asked to see a pair of KC shoes in a size 7. I sat down to wait and try on the shoes as I looked over to my left I just could not believe it. The same man that had been following me all over since I walked in was right by me acting like he was shopping for womens shoes. I have never been so disgusted and insulted. I could not imagine why he decided that I looked like a thief but I got up and was to angry wait and try on the shoes. I was going to walk right out but I loved the shirts I picked out so I walked up to the register and purchased the shirts. I visit this macy's very frequently. Often they would have good selections and okay sales. But the customer service is really bad. If you're buying something the sales associates are willing to help but if you have a return they're not afraid to give you attitude. Today I had a return the sales woman in men's made a remark that I bought the item in a different macy's which is none of her concern it was one item for $25 and I was doing a favor for my brother I provided the receipt and the item had the tag. Then I went to Juniors to do my second return and that sales associate also gave me attitude because I didn't have the receipt but I had macy's card and the tags were on the items mind you it was only 4 items other customers do a lot worse. I work customer service and I understand people's frustration but if macy's associates got replaced by machines and computers their setting their own future they suck at dealing with people. read more

My family and I were passing by this store when we went to flushing for Chinese food. And I was shocked by the rudeness and incompetence of the staff here. My mom wanted to get a Coach bag and but they locked it on the shelf. So one girl told us she couldn't find the key and she's gonna get it, then she never came back. This is only my third time in this Macy's in Flushing. It's been here forever and when I think Flushing, I just never think of Macy's. It just feels like a really odd place to have one. It's one of the emptiest Macy's I have ever seen. It feels very cramped and narrow. From the exterior, you would expect a super store but's really not. The first two times I came here was years ago. 1st time was with a friend to buy some gift, 2nd was for some Levi jeans because of dramatic weight loss at the time. This week, I came to check their children, infant section on the 4th floor. There was only 1 elevator in this entire Macy's apparently. Pretty lame for a department store. The children section was poorly advertised. The clearance racks were not appealing at all. The discounted prices were pathetic. This review is only in regards to the BOBBI BROWN cosmetic section. I went to their counter on NYE to get my makeup done and I had the worst experience ever from a makeup artist. I'm a young Asian woman with hooded eyelids. Hooded eyelids can include people of all different races but the majority of hooded eyelids and monolids are on Asians. The makeup artist that did my makeup was this white lady with glasses and a double chin. She looked like she was in her mid to late 30s. As she was doing my makeup I could see the nervousness on her face that what she was doing did not suit my face. I kept telling her what I wanted and what to fix..I mean I'm not the makeup artist! The MUA should have experience and the SKILLS to work on any face...but this woman did not! What really ticked me off was that she made an inappropriate comment about my eyes. She said that it was funny that my eyes were absorbing the colors. I was thinking "WTF?!" Have you not see Asian eyes before??? You work in a neighborhood filled with Asians so you should have at least have the knowledge of the different kinds of Asian eyes as a damn MUA! What an ignorant comment. What made it worse was that she kept saying it again and again....like she would use my eyes as an excuse as the reason why the makeup didn't look good on me. I tried to laugh it off and explain but she was being so ignorant. I sat there irritated. She also picked the wrong color of foundation for my skin. I looked so dark and ugly. I didn't even recognize myself. How can someone who works with such a prominent brand do this to my face?? She ended up drying my skin as well with all the rubbing on different products. My skin got irritated. That was the last straw for me. I had to ask for another makeup artist. When I picked the other makeup artist, the old hag told me to go to the bathroom to wash my face. I was thinking, "are you kidding me??" You just messed up my face and you don't have the decency to take it off for me? Also, I can't just wash this waterproof makeup off with water. I need makeup remover!! I'm so glad the Asian artist said that she can take off my makeup. The Asian mua fixed my makeup and she was so nice and let me explain what I wanted. She kept asking for my opinion and if I liked it. I LOVED IT. My friends and the other asian mua who did my friend's makeup approved. So I have decided to shop at Macy's today because I needed a red shirt for (Lunar New Year) so as I was doing my shopping, I came to a blouse that stood out to me so I took it and look at it, (nah uh) didnt like it so I throw it at the side and keep on looking for other clothing. Hi good afternoon. I have purchased a shirt from Calvin Klein at Flushing Macy's. It was a good price and I loved the product however the shelves were not organized, unclean, several clothes were off on the floor and I felt like as if I was purchasing from 99 cent store. I'm pretty sure nobody is conducting rounds. But it doesn't really bother me that much because it happens everytime I go to Flushing Macy's. What I really mad was about the customer service. What happen was when I put a shirt on the counter, The lady who was standing at the counter have me to make a signature 5 times. She never said any greetings and just was standing there being cold. I don't even know her name because she even had no ID card what she supposed to put on while working. She didn't tell me how much was that and just said "Sign here." I didn't say anything only because I checked the price already but she supposed to say how much am I going to pay. I can't just pay whatever she put in there. She swiped my care and I signed on the screen and press accept key. And screen was saying 'sign here and press accept key'. She repeated, "Sign here." Well, I know sometimes it happens due to technical problem or something else. So I signed again and press accept. After a second the same message popped up. She said it again annoyingly "Sign here." Since I was bit annoyed I said to her "I did it twice already." She was staring at me and said "Just do it again, it didn't go through." At least she supposed to say she's sorry for inconvenience because I'm not supposed to make a sign several times to make just one purchase. I signed again and she told me to do it again and it was repeated until 5th attempts. Finally it was approved and she just printed the receipt and passed it on me without any word and she immediately took another customer's product. I have never felt like this before. She was totally rude and her attitute was unacceptable. Large companies today spend billions to manage their public image. And it is most important that how people think a company's customer service is. Customers want good customer service. But I don't even expect good customer service at Flushing Macy's. Because I have never seen any good clerk here ever since I have used this store. I just want them to not too rude to customers. I understand that some people just want a job but I have never had any worse customer service than Flushing Macy's. They never make customer happy even they ruin every single customer's day. It is very unpleasant to use this store. And I can't really understand how the chain of high range department stores cannot manage/instruct their employees properly. I have used this store not because I love their service but because I love Macy's products and I had no other choice. However I don't really want to use this shop any longer. I have to say there's a snobbery employee in the Flushing macys store. (136-50 Roosevelt Ave, Flushing NY) I have walked in the Flushing Store around 6:45pm, Thursday, 03/03/2016, looking for a Ruby Ring. There's only one Chinese woman worked at the jewelry counter. I have asked her politely to show me one of the Ruby ring. However, she asked me if I'm gonna buy it now. I was surprised about the question because it looks like she wanted me to buy a $8500 ring before I can even try it. So I asked the employee that May I see it first? She told me that they didn't have any discount today so I have to tell her if I'm gonna buy it, otherwise it looks like a waste to show me the ring. I was shocked by the answer, and she didn't show me the ring eventually. Obviously she didn't think I can afford a Ruby ring so she's rather not wasting her time. I was shocked by her attitude to screen the customer and treat them differently. This is definitely and insulting and discriminating experience from Macy. I can go back to the store to get her name and employee ID if you need. And definitely need a feedback from Flushing Store Management. I purchased quite a few jewelry and fur coats form website, and the orders always worked well. This is the first time for in-store order, I was insulted because the store worker didn't think I can afford the merchandise.
