They convince you that it's the "most popular perfume" in today's market. And they would throw in samples for you to try. AND THEY SAID THAT IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, I CAN RETURN THE ITEM AT NOT HESITATION. So after purchasing the flowerbomb lotion and perfume bottle, I am no longer infatuated with scent after a week or so (very sickening scent). I went back to the mall and request for a refund. The sales associate spent 5 minutes examining the lotion bottle as if I poured it out and filled it with something else. She literally stuck her disgusting finger into the bottle and sniffed it several times. Then she proceeds to talk to her associate and said, "WOW, THIS GIRL USED A LOT OF THE PERFUME ALREADY". Are you effing kidding me?? IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL PROFESSIONALISM?! I've never encountered such inexperienced sales associates. I love Macy's. You can really find good stuff at good prices, especially during Friends and Family Day. This is the closest Macy's to my house. They have most things I need here. There are about four levels in this store. The ground floor has watches; jewlery; women's shoes, purses, and perfume; and some clothing. The second floor has women and children's clothing. The third floor has bedding and home goods. The basement has men's clothing, coats, shoes and cologne. It can get messy and disorganized during peak season, but when I went there today, it was raining so there were not many shoppers and the place was neat. The staff are generally nice; however, they can be slow. Some of them are so nice that they help you get the lowest price by using available coupons. Parking sucks in this area, but there is a parking garage in the mall. read more

Don't tell me the store closes at 10:30pm and when I get there at 10pm to purchase something, you tell me I can't because that particular item is in a section that is "closed" for inventory. WTF? This is my local Macys and I usually get there when the doors open with coupons in tow. You can get some great deals on sale racks combined with coupons. The salespeople are pretty friendly but it gets crowded quick. I can see how people say its not clean or unorganized because once the crowd attacks, its all over. I rarely come here on the weekends unless its early. Like any other department store, the fragrance dept can be quite aggressive but if you're not interested keep it moving and keep walking to the shoe or handbag dept like I usually do. read more

I don't know if I am being biased but to me nothing compares to the Macy's in Herald Square. I love coming to Queens Center Mall just on a chill day but shopping at Macy's here is not always best, at least for my taste. For one some of the clothes seem to be all over the place at times like how Century 21 used to be in lower Manhattan. Not to mention that in a few of he areas their barely are any associates in the cashier area. Don't know if they are just low in coverage or laziness on part of the associates but the shopping experience at Queens Center Mall Macy's compared to the experience at Herald Square Macy's is completely different but that just may be that Herald Square is more so aimed and to accommodating tourists to have customer always come back to that SPECIFIC Macy's. read more

This Macy's is connected to the Queens mall. I don't really like to shop there much, but usually stop by when I go to the mall. It can be such a mess in there, a lot of times it's hard to find your size because clothes is all over the place. Once you find your size and you wanna try it on, most likely you'll have to wait in a line. If you decide to purchase something, well good luck! There is enough cash registers, but only few of them are open. The line moves so slow. Mens department is way better than womans. Whenever my husband and I go there, he comes home with few items.. Me, empty handed. Avoid on holidays, best time to go there is in the morning during the week. read more

Unlike other reviewers, I didn't experience bad customer service here at all. In fact, the cashier who helped us was very personable and friendly. The line wasn't long and we were in and out pretty quickly. This Macy's is large, well stocked, and organized. There was a variety of clothing for us to choose from and my boyfriend found two outfits effortlessly. They also had killer deals, which is a nice perk of shopping right after Christmas. It was a little crowded but not outrageously so. The thing I don't really like is the layout. There are many floors and it got really confusing trying to figure out where the different sections were. The same confusion occurred when we were trying to leave and could only find an escalator that goes up from the outside. With the help of an employee, we found the down escalator, but it was just weird to me that it was so difficult. I'd definitely come shopping here again and, in time, I'm sure I'd grow accustomed to the layout and find what I need more easily. read more

I went shopping at this store with my 93 year old neighbor. Sabiha Ali, the Cashier in the Ladies Department was so customer friendly and helpful, I had to commend her and the service. Previously, I was in the Manhasset Macy's and could not say the same thing about the salesperson there. My neighbor also purchased cosmetics at the Clinique counter, and the Cosmetician there was also terrific. The day was so nice for both of us because of the Customer Service at this store. read more

First, I would like to say that the one star DOES NOT focus on the entire Macy's store at Queens Center Mall. The one star represents the ABSOLUTELY POOR SERVICE I experienced at the M.A.C. counter inside the store. I wish there was a way to give those 3 girls a ZERO! I walk up to the counter and the three "customer service reps" for lack of calling them worse stood there and continued their conversation as if I was not standing there. I patiently waited, then leaned forward a little like, "ok, maybe they really don't see me standing here" and still no response or acknowledgement. I wait a little bit more, then I say, "Hi, can one of you get something for me?" They all look at me with disgusted faces like 'how dare I interrupt them' then one asks what I needed. I told her and she walked over, looked in the drawer quickly and said, "we don't have that!" with a rude tone in her voice. I figured that would be the answer since I "cut their conversation short"... I wanted to find a manager and make a complaint, but I was so upset I just left the store. The reason they have the job is to serve and please the customer. If the customers are NOT HAPPY, that's bad for business and reputation. I should have been welcomed with a greeting. Shisheido counter service! AVOID THIS PLACE! RUDE EMPLOYEE! I went to return a face powder and the girl was so rude saying they do not take used products back. So I was stuck with a product that I could not use. She continued to show me attitude and told me to go to the Shisheido in 34th in Manhattan. Also I asked her to give me some information about some other face powder case and she was so confused saying they did not have have! Then she looks it up online and says they are sold out! SMH! I don't know where to begin with this particular Macy's location. The workers seem miserable even before speaking to you. Some try hard to not make eye contact with anyone but their phones. The few encounters I've had here were memorable in a frustrating way. I definitely try to avoid coming here. I came separate times to either return or exchange items and the reception was terrible. Right after the Christmas holiday, while trying to take advantage of after Christmas sales ( I had 2 gift cards), I went to Macy's at Queens Center Mall. The shoe department was out of average shoe sizes. The linen department only had twin size sheets on sale/in stock. However, I was given the option of ordering/paying/having sheets sent to my house. This made me think of online shopping, but they should have considered that if I wanted to shop online I wouldn't have been in the store. But here's the best part: In the women's department there's an area called "last stop, final sale, clothes cemetery." You must be desperate or something like that. Anyway, the clothes are piled on racks with no rhyme or reason, just all Willy nilly: shirts, pants, sizes, everything piled on top of one another. It would have taken more time than I had to give to Macy's without being an employee myself. I believe the clothing area was designed to look exactly as it did because Macy's no longer places value on their customers. I did speak to the floor supervisor who stated the area is cleaned weekly. I told her that not only was she insulting my intelligence and de-valuing my money, but also de-valuing my time because by assuming I have nothing else to do but spend hours looking for a size that's not even in the store. I have been shopping in Macy's stores all my life and I must say this has been the most degrading experience of all time. Terrible customer service. Once I tried asking an associate there if they were working there since I couldn't really see their name tag on them and they don't have a vest of Macy's or something for me to actually know if they work there. With an attitude she just shows me her name tag instead of politely letting me know that she is indeed working there and that she would be available for me to ask a simple question. I'm sorry but I'm a sales associate and whenever a customer comes up to me for help I usually respond with a "yes I work here, how can I help?", this lady didn't say a single word, once I asked my question which was "where do you guys have more coats?" So, I tried to purchase boots today but the Box only contained one boot in it and was told that I had to look through a bunch of rows of boots to find the other one. That's not my job as a patron and a customer. How dare you! I can't go through rows and rows of boots to find a needle in a haystack. That's just incredibly inappropriate! Macy's customer service at the Queens Center Mall is awful. I can take the cluttered & over crowed store, but being poorly treated is not acceptable. I have many complaints about this store, but they are minor compared to one incident that will forever be embedded in my memory It was 6 or 7 years ago and I had been ill for a few weeks, unable to do any shopping until Xmas eve. Because I preferred shopping in person verses online, I called Macy's Queens Center Mall who confirmed being open until 6:00 pm. But at 4:45 pm this Macy's made a sudden announcement that instead of 6:00 pm, they would now be closing at 5:00 pm. I had many items in my arms going floor to floor trying to find one open register to pay. I was on the escalator when a manager shut it off. The sudden jolt sent me down a few steps on my knees. He did help me up, apologized & took the many items from my arm. He took me to the shoe dept. where I could pay. He told the girl to close when she had checked me out. She smiled and said no problem As he walked away, she took each item and stacked one on top of the other. Once he was out of sight, she took my Xmas gifts and dropped them behind the counter. She told me it was 5:01 pm and Macy's was now closed. I reminded her of what the manager had said and these were Xmas gifts for family & grand kids. She told me it was not her problem and maybe next time I will remember not to wait until the last minute to do my Xmas shopping. I could not believe my eyes and ears when her kindness suddenly turned obnoxious. I did not see that coming. I had been in that store for a few hours and it was all for nothing. That rude girl prevented me from giving Xmas gifts to my family and most important, my grandchildren. That is the one incident that cost Macy's my trust, respect & my business. Today If I do purchase from Macy's, it's online, but just like ordering online from many stores, it can come with many problems. I recently ordered a very expensive Blender from Macys.com. It arrived in a non sealed, open & damaged box. It was also missing parts. I probably received someone's return. My husband returned it because I am still unable to enter that store. Everything is a mess in this Macy's. Nobody here seems to care about their job or care about customer service. The lines to each register stretches a mile long. The men and women's shoes department is ridiculous. Good luck finding someone to get you your size. Every Macy's employee I asked for help, their best reply was "find someone who has a scanner". This Macy's is located inside of Queens Center Mal. This actually use to be an A&S, and Macy's use to be where Target/Best Buy is on Queens Blvd. I doubt anyone remembers that in Elmhurst. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years. I'm quite surprised that even after the major renovations to Queens Center Mall, Macy's would still look like crap. The biggest change to Macy's are their floor tiles but even with that change, a whole bunch of those tiles now are cracked and damaged. I hate this Macy's with a passion. I received a MK watch as a graduation present from the MK station back in May. The guy was semi-friendly but knew that I was definitely making a purchase and wanted commission so he jumped on it. My step father picked out a flashy watch to purchase for me. The guy insisted on getting my watched sized to fit, I said ehh no I'll come back later. He insisted again, pushy I'd say, and finally I was like I guess. He began resizing it as my step father pulled out the money to pay. Transaction over. Later, I received another MK watch with a basic gold face and preferred that over the flashy one and wanted to return the UNWORN watch. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes while they joked and 2 associates help a lady look at watches. Finally the lady was like, "yes?" like I was a lost child or something. I told her that I wanted to return the watch and her whole face was twisted. She immediately asked if I'd worn the watch or had it resized I told her I hadn't worn it but it was resized. She closed the box, slid it to me and said it's final sale once you resize it and turned back to her conversation. I said, "excuse me, I was never told that!" You put links on and take links off what's the big deal. The man who was helping the other customer barged in and rudely said, "It says it right on the receipt." I told him that he should continue to help his customer and not worry about my affairs. They called the manager and she basically said the same thing. I told her that the employee never mentioned that to me ever. She said, "no all of our employees tell the customer's that." Just like all employee's wash their hands after using the bathroom...right. I told her that he did not, I would have know being that I was there and she wasn't. She continued to dismiss me and say that it was nothing she could do about it. Let me remind you MK is sold in home good stores like Marshall's and TJMaxx, you guys are not Chanel. Horrible customer service, employees push resizes so they are safe with their commission and the store is always a maze. RIDICULOUS! read more

Cashiers are the laziest. In the INC section, there were 3 cashiers and 3 customers, including me, trying to pay. One cashier says I will do some cleaning. The other finished the transaction with a customer and said " I will go to get ready". And the other one was with a customer and was soooo slow. Probably they get paid by hour. Went there yesterday to get a mattress. Not crowded at all. Really nice sales people. I was able to try different mattresses from the display at first I thought they wouldn't have much on display but it wasn't bad. It was very quick and I was happy with my purchase. My only problem was I came with a coupon stating that with every purchase of mattress you will receive $200 gift card. The sales lady that was in that dept informed me that this was a mistake on all the coupons that were printed and that she's going by what they told her and there's nothing she could go about it. There was a small sign printed out by the cashier but still this is not making any sense. You don't print out falls advertisement and get people to come and get it and then expect them to go by the sign.
