Four words - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There is another store further down Broadway owned by the same…read moreowners that is much nicer, bigger, sells the same things and most importantly - is managed by a competent manager that won't nickle and dime you! At first, I couldn't have agreed with the other reviewers of this store more - cute finds for pretty cheap prices. The first time I went there, I liked a dress but couldn't try it on as the cashier informed me that they had no fitting rooms, BUT he assured me that the store has a 14 day no questions asked exchange policy so I shouldn't worry. As I was paying I saw that there was a small rip in the dress where the seams fell apart and pointed this out to the cashier, who immediately took $7 off my $23 dress. But when I went home and tried it on, it ended up being too big so the very next day, I took it back to the store, thinking I'll just exchange it for something else. I made 2 big discoveries that next day - 1) the store HAS A FITTING ROOM!! I surmise that i was told otherwise just the night before because the store was near closing time and they couldn't be bothered with something as trivial as customers, and 2) the cashier, who turned out was the manager of the store, flat out lied to me. He remembered me but REFUSED to let me exchange the dress on the grounds that he had given me a discount due to the ripped seams, and therefore the item was a final sale. Hearing that for the first time, I kindly reminded him of the situation - I was not allowed to try on the dress, I was explicitly told that I could exchange it for another item in the store, I could swear I was never told it was a final sale, and I was asking to exchange it for the $15 I paid for it less than 24 hours ago for another item IN HIS store! NO. That was the final answer. By then, it wasn't even a matter of the dress or the $15 anymore. It was only $15! I didn't care about that, but never in my life have I been lied to and had such an awful experience at a retail store. And by a MANAGER! I was just disgusted with what they call customer service. I wonder if that $15 was worth losing what would've otherwise been a repeat customer for life. Because for certain, that is ONE store I will never step foot into again.

I agree with Nicole A., it's a bit Forever 21 meets Rave meets Deb meets all of those things you wore in middle and high school because you thought your sh-t don't stink with the occasional more classy surprise. This is definitely the place to go for a cheap/trashy/ridiculous party outfit, and would probably work well for those who anticipate leaving their clothing behind. That's not exactly my style but the sequined dresses have caught my eye... But you can also get some nicer things here, if you dig. My friend found a great, lightweight coat for early spring and fall. I found a couple of interesting cardigan-type sweaters/cover-ups. The store can be very disorganized. The line for the dressing room can get very long, but if you are seriously considering bringing something home, WAIT ON THAT LINE. There is an exchange policy, but no returns! And finally, when you get to the register, you can pick up boob squeezeballs or colored contact lenses. If you're looking for these things, this is actually a place to find them.

I had an exceptionally positive and inclusive experience with Jazmin S at the Nordstrom Men's store…read moreon West 57th street. I was looking to purchase a present for my boyfriend. Specifically was looking for recommendations for a beard/mustache product - however I needed some guidance picking a product out. In the past I made the mistake of picking a product my brothers used and realized not all products are designed for all skin and hair types. I explained to Jazmin my prior mistake purchasing products and that my partner is half black and showed a picture to illustrate his facial hair type - so I was looking for a product designed for his skin and hair type. Jazmin could not have been more helpful and showed me two different facial hair grooming kits to choose from - and explained the price difference between purchasing the individual products vs. products as a kit. She was both knowledgeable and transparent. Also, she paid attention to details while not making me feel rushed at all. She noticed when I walked by the YSL colognes that I wanted to purchase a YSL cologne for my BF but he loved certain scents of the brand and strongly disliked other scents and I did not recall which one was which. So I commented in passing "I'll have to bring him back in person to get the cologne". While I was checking out Jazmin dropped some YSL cologne samples in the bag and my BF ended up really liking one scent- so now I know which cologne to purchase! Jazmin did me a great job with the facial kit recommendation, my bf LOVED the kit we chose and his bandmates were a bit envious- one said "my girlfriend doesn't buy me stuff like this after my performances!" You did me a solid!!

Over the past few years, I have purchased several fitted dress shirts and two $2,500 Canali suits…read morefrom this location. My last shopping experience for my second suit, unfortunately, made me not want to return. My first experience was with Michael G several years ago. He was extremely nice and helpful, showing me options and explaining the differences in the fabrics and where they were made. The fitting experience was great. I felt good at the end, making a big purchase. Later, I called to get some fitted dress shirts, and they had all my information on file. I trusted Michael and had him ship them to me; I didn't even need to come in; it was a very premium experience. The second time I purchased a suit, the experience was exactly the opposite. The woman who helped me seemed uninterested. She really didn't want to help at all. Given her brash, unenthusiastic behavior, I was hoping to go through the process myself, so I asked if she could pull up the profile Michael had made for me. Turns out they only save the customer measurement details for a year now. Seems ridiculous to save money on basic data storage rather than keeping customer records to expedite and provide good service. When I was trying on the suit, I felt rushed, and she never made me feel confident, which is always appreciated when making a big-ticket purchase. She didn't show me options or explain anything beyond saying the old color I had was no longer available, and the one I was holding was the new version they carried. When I received the suit 2 weeks later, the alterations were sloppy as well. Loose threads and not packed well. You'd think it was a $200 means warehouse rental I received. Just got another suit this month and found out I can get a made-to-measure custom suit in Soho for 30% less! They lost a lifetime customer, as I have been buying suits from Nordstroms since I lived in Chicago starting in 2014.

I have bought shoes from them before because they were reasonably priced and looked great plus lets fave it every other store on Steinway has ugly selections and cheap looking shoes except but this place. But this is the 2nd time I walk in to buy clothes and see shoes I really love and they are OVER PRICED. News flash same shoes you are selling for 98.00 in your store are on different shoe websites and all over IG for 59.99. Even with shipping they won't amount to the price you guys have in your store. If I walked away twice and I don't only buy one pair I usually buy 2 or more there are other clients that are walking away as well. Saturday alone you missed out on not only me buying shoes but my girlfriend too. That would have been a good sale for the store. You have a great small selection but I won't over pay. My suggestion is before you price your shoes do research and instead be reasonable. I would have totally given you 5 stars but the shoe part kills it. Either way I love this store.
