Four words - AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There is another store further down Broadway owned by the same owners that is much nicer, bigger, sells the same things and most importantly - is managed by a competent manager that won't nickle and dime you! At first, I couldn't have agreed with the other reviewers of this store more - cute finds for pretty cheap prices. The first time I went there, I liked a dress but couldn't try it on as the cashier informed me that they had no fitting rooms, BUT he assured me that the store has a 14 day no questions asked exchange policy so I shouldn't worry. As I was paying I saw that there was a small rip in the dress where the seams fell apart and pointed this out to the cashier, who immediately took $7 off my $23 dress. But when I went home and tried it on, it ended up being too big so the very next day, I took it back to the store, thinking I'll just exchange it for something else. I made 2 big discoveries that next day - 1) the store HAS A FITTING ROOM!! I surmise that i was told otherwise just the night before because the store was near closing time and they couldn't be bothered with something as trivial as customers, and 2) the cashier, who turned out was the manager of the store, flat out lied to me. He remembered me but REFUSED to let me exchange the dress on the grounds that he had given me a discount due to the ripped seams, and therefore the item was a final sale. Hearing that for the first time, I kindly reminded him of the situation - I was not allowed to try on the dress, I was explicitly told that I could exchange it for another item in the store, I could swear I was never told it was a final sale, and I was asking to exchange it for the $15 I paid for it less than 24 hours ago for another item IN HIS store! NO. That was the final answer. By then, it wasn't even a matter of the dress or the $15 anymore. It was only $15! I didn't care about that, but never in my life have I been lied to and had such an awful experience at a retail store. And by a MANAGER! I was just disgusted with what they call customer service. I wonder if that $15 was worth losing what would've otherwise been a repeat customer for life. Because for certain, that is ONE store I will never step foot into again. read more

I'm a little embarrassed by how much I like this place. And I think one of my best friends likes it even more (she doesn't even live in New York, but has been here more than I have, haha). I agree with Nicole A., it's a bit Forever 21 meets Rave meets Deb meets all of those things you wore in middle and high school because you thought your sh-t don't stink with the occasional more classy surprise. This is definitely the place to go for a cheap/trashy/ridiculous party outfit, and would probably work well for those who anticipate leaving their clothing behind. That's not exactly my style but the sequined dresses have caught my eye... But you can also get some nicer things here, if you dig. My friend found a great, lightweight coat for early spring and fall. I found a couple of interesting cardigan-type sweaters/cover-ups. The store can be very disorganized. The line for the dressing room can get very long, but if you are seriously considering bringing something home, WAIT ON THAT LINE. There is an exchange policy, but no returns! And finally, when you get to the register, you can pick up boob squeezeballs or colored contact lenses. If you're looking for these things, this is actually a place to find them. read more

What is the difference between Chill and Necessary Clothing and Mystic Boutique? I was on a hunt for an EZOO outfit and went to all three clothing stores and saw basically the same merchandise. Out of all the three, I think this was the worst one with the smallest selection and higher prices than they should be. I actually bought a crop top here that I plan on returning because I don't love it & I found it for $8 bucks cheaper at a store in NJ. When you're dealing with 14 inches of fabric.. $8 is a lot of extra money to dish out for a crop top LOL read more

Yeah, good selection of skirts. But only in the spring and summertime though. In the winter, they have lots of affordable and stylish sweaters, pants, jackets, and coats. They also carry shoes. Service is virtually nonexistent and the staff is always talking amongst themselves. This one lady was trying to get the attention of a worker and he was talking on the cell phone (and it was clearly not a business call). read more

OH man, I just love this store. I was there in March for a friend Birthday. I am so glad that i walked in the Chill. I spent about $150 and got tons of cute stuff. They have the latest fashion cloth and super reasonable prices! I really wish they have a web site so people can buy stuff on-line. Especially i don't live in the state. Chill was a find when I was in Chinatown! The clothes are cheap and trendy - like Forever 21 but even cheaper. They have lots of bright colors everywhere. You can find tons of dresses, skirts, tops, belts, shoes all for under $20. read more

WARNING WITH THIS STORE!!!! the manager of the store (a man about 50 years apparently Arabic) steal to me with no shame!. I went shopping a Saturday, unfortunately the store was very crowded and I bought many things on sale, just clothes. It was impossible for me to check item by item at the time because they were more than 40 items, all of 9, 99 or 10,99. Plus, he charged me the bill before printing the receipt....anyways, when reviewing the bill in my home I realized I was charged for a HANDBAG that I never even touch in the store. It was of 39.99!!!. Right after that i tcall him and told him what happened. He remembered me (because i was buying a lot!!) and said to go to the store with the bill. I really thought that he was going to give me my money back. The surprise was that the man didnt recognize his error (and i think his real intension was to steal). I asked him to review the inventory or the cameras and he answerd that he was not going to do that. I had a horrible discution with this man in front of customers trying to make him understand he can not treat customers like this. beware of this man. I am SURE he do this to a lot of turist....... the worst was that i try to report what had happened to an authority but I had to return to Ecuador which is where I live. read more

I love this place! I found the most beautiful white lacy cami! They have very beautiful clothing here and I hope to return and buy sun and summer dresses! I love how it is very inexpensive. I thought when walking in would be incredibly expensive being in the area, but it was not! Definetely returning. read more

This place is unbelievable. I'm a "shopper" and mostly at much higher end venues than this place. But I was wasting sometime and I thought...let me go in ans see if I can fins some cheap shirts and whatnot that might last for the season. I did find a little blouse for about 20 bucks so I kept looking and put together a pile of 6 or 8 things I was about to buy. I was trying on a last little shirt in the store mirror when the manager (I guess) came ans started gathering up my little pile to take away and I went to him and smiled and said 'Those are mine, I'm going to buy these". He said in a gruff voice that that was no good I couldn't leave them laying there (all on hangers laying neatly over the corner of a ghastly pack of colored jeans). I said ok, but give me a second to get my bag, which was on the floor. He said he would keep the stuff up front, but I was going to put back ONE of the items so I said, that's ok I'll take them and be right up. So I placed them down again just so I could go get me bag and take off the shirt I had been trying and he had a tizzy fit! NO, NO GOOD he yelled. I was taken aback and said, I was planning on buying ALL of that stuff?! And he kept saying NO GOOD. SO I said well, then I won't buy anything then. And he said GOOD, you leave, don't come back!. I was never raising my voice or anything, I was trying t tell him I was shopping and BUYING. He told never to come back. WHAT? I shop at Aritzia, Free People, Anthropology, Burberry, Wellmade, and Chanel...trust me those people will NEVER ask me to leave. I SPEND. Why waste time on a crappy little place where the African manager who can barely speak English would tell someone with money to spend to LEAVE because she laid her purchases down for a second. I'm very happy not to go there again. They'll go out of business and he won't have a job soon anyway. read more

I must say this is one of the best stores in Soho. I always find what I need at Chill at amazing prices. People always compliment my outfits which leaves me always coming back for more. I recommend this place to woman of all ages, I guarantee you will love it as much as me and my friends do :) read more
