This was my first visit to a Nordstrom Rack. The one in Union Square has a prime location right above the subway and right across from the park. Descending into the basement, I immediately noticed that it was kind of warm down there, not an ideal shopping temperature. Luckily I was able to find what I wanted to shop for pretty easily and considered the prices to be reasonable. The dressing room was not clearly marked, and it was for both men and women. The whole room had seen better days. Lastly, the line to pay was moving as slow as slugs due to minimal cashiers but thankfully some more joined to help out. It wasn't a perfect shopping experience so I'm in agreement with the current Yelp rating of 3.1 stars. read more

Had a really efficient experience at Nordstrom Rack recently. I needed to return a couple items from an online order, and the entire process super quick (was in and out in under 5 minutes). Staff was friendly as well. Also appreciated the proximity to the train station, which made the entire errand a lot quicker than I anticipated! read more

Luckily this Nordstrom Rack is close to the train station so it is very convenient to commute here. Came here to find a sterling silver bracelet or necklace by Argento and there were a few sterling silver left. I must admit Nordstrom organizes their jewelry well. All the boxes were neatly displayed on their shelves. Just the bad thing is the top shelf is very high and you need assistance or a ladder to look at them so that sucks. This is one of the most organized stores ever with all the accessories lined up and stored in an orderly fashion. There are rarely any loose accessories or misplaced product in the store. Made the shopping vibe feel a lot better. It is also very clean and carpet is nice to walk on without any dirt or loose garbage. By the checkout, there are aisles of mini and travel size lotions and facial cleansers from Kiehl's and Clinique that are almost winding down so they are that popular! I thought the cashiers were kind of slow because there were 3 of them working on the customers when there were so many cashier registers available for employees to go to. I wish they open more registers so the long line can go faster. read more

Let's talk about busy stores. This place offer really nice sales but due to their location this store is always very packed but this store is not messy at all. They do offer high end merchandise on sale here too The people who work here are on top their game making sure everything is in order. Their shoe section is where I always start first. There was a woman who was making sure all shoes and boots were neatly put back on the shelves. She was actively monitoring all the activitie in her section which really makes it a pleasure to shop here. It is definitely a nice place to shop. It's always a hit or miss for me. When I get lucky I do get some great deals. I think the only problem I have here is that they no longer offer bathrooms for customers for whatever reasons. Which can be very inconvenient for shoppers. When you have an arm full of merchandise and there is a long line to pay then you realize you have to go to the bathroom, lol what to do?! read more

They should really have a separate line for returns we had to wait over 20 minutes. So I ended up letting my son stay online and I went around to shop found a few things. But it is the holiday season so be expected to have a packed store so therefore have more staff. I've been a loyal nordies cardholder and shopper for years. I was disappointed when I came to do a return and they had relocated the order pick up area to another part of the store... When I got there, there wasn't anyone staffing that area. Despite pressing the bell several times and asking other employee if they know if the staff will be coming. Waited over 15-20mins for a staffer to be at the counter. Was told that order pick up no longer does returns and that I would need to go to the check out line to process my orders. This was disappointing as when you select to return an order, the instructions usually tell you to go to the order pick up area. As I've done in the past, which used to be easy returns. That was one of my favorite things about this location. So disappointed to see this change. I hope they will change it back in the future. Other shoppers waiting in line also felt the same as I did about this change. The line for the register was long and intimidating but moving. The cashiers worked efficiently to keep the line moving! I commend their great effort!! The cashier I got was sweet and easy to work and great to converse work. Terrible store. Never a time when the line is not wrapping around the store. It seems that no one works here. Whoever the managers are suck. Never seen them. Don't pay attention to customers. Horrible experience every time. Only good thing is convenient location but that doesn't even matter since you have to wait in line for over 20 minutes every time. read more

I bought a diamond tennis bracelet online that I received in the beginning of November 2024. The cost was over $300. The bracelet split beginning in May. I brought it back to the store in Westbury. The check out/return line took about 15 minutes to get to a casher. There I was told that it was beyond the return window and there was nothing they could do for me. The store manager told me to call the 800 number and they would send me a return label and could refund my purchase. I called the 800 number only to be told by a team leader that returning it meant a 50% RESTOCKING fee and the balance would be a gift card. It was such a ridiculous offer that I had no choice but to refuse. Ok so now I know that buying from the Rack means a very small window to return. Long lines at check out. And they will not stand behind a costly purchase that is defective. Unbelievable. read more

I was at the 14th street location in NYC on Sunday and upon stepping into the mens dressing room area with two Theory shirts in hand a young female attendant without looking up barked at me " Stand outside until somebody tells you to come in!! " She was aggressive in tone and just ugly. It takes a lot for me to actually come here and write a review, but this might be the WORST nordstrom rack in all of America... And I've been to many across the states. The lack of stock was unfortunate to begin with, but the staff was really the driving factor for me writing this review. They don't have a separate section for returns, so you have to wait in the slowest line you've ever been in because they only have 3-4 people working the registers. On top of that, because most of these people are processing returns, they wonder off to put the returns somewhere or retag them or something... By the time you actually get to a register you are greeted with unfriendly employees working at a clearly understaffed store. There was no urgency or sense of hospitality from the staff, and it felt like I was inconvenience. Will not return any time soon. read more

I loved my experience at Nordstrom Rack, but specifically there beauty section. The customer service was great, as the sales associates went above and beyond for me to make me feel comfortable and satisfied with their products. Decent selection, purchased a few items with my nordstrom card. I suddenly had to go to the bathroom- bad stomach ache( Im of a certain age) and they do not have one, despite my stressing the emergency to the cashier uopn paying. I understand not having a public restroom but Im a customer. I still bought the merchandise but needed a bathroom terribly. After making an online purchase from this company, I was (and still am) being bombarded with spam email messages offering me more of their worthless garbage products. When I made the purchase as a guest user, they decided to use my order email address to send me constant email messages - we're talking 3-4 messages per day! I contacted them no less than 7-8 times both by email and by phone asking them to stop sending the spam messages. They ignored each request to cease sending spam. This review is solely my opinion about this business and you might find that your experience differs from mine. With that said, I cannot recommend shopping at this business and highly recommend that shoppers shop elsewhere. read more

You can find a lot of great designer deals here. You can also be freaked out like I was by a plain old pair of jeans for $269.00! Made in London maybe!! The name brand had London in it! I fell in love with a North Face Jacket 40% off for $89.00. They didn't have my size. I would have bought it in a heartbeat! My daughter bought cute panties and a huge bottle of body lotion. The lotion was $12.00. It was huge. I saw a lot of items I haven't found elsewhere. Most were too pricey for me. They had Ladies Baseball Caps (Yankees and METS) for $14.99. It was tempting but I refrained! I have enough hats! These were the good brand too that I love. Well, when my ship comes in I can shop here. I feel you can make wise purchases if you use self control. You won't see me buy a piece of garbage just because of the brand name!! Stop in and check out this location. Nordstrom Rack is my go-to destination for high-quality, designer brands at discounted prices.

I love the store. They have a great selection of clothes and shoes as well as other things.

You have to look through a lot of racks and sizes (despite the signs, everything is a bit mixed up) but you can find a few treasured items amongst the bunch. I found a couple blazers and a nice shirt for a significant discount. I thought I had a credit card but they couldn't find it looking it up, offering me a new card (which I already applied for when I was at the chain last). There's not a lot of men's stuff compared to women's but plenty of shoes. read more

Bought an "Avec Les Filles" from Nordstrom Rack thinking the quality should at least be acceptable. I put it in the closest and only took it out after 6 weeks of wanting to try it out for the Fall season. To my horror, the coat fur looks "damaged". I took this to Nordstrom Rack Union Square where I bought it, and they refused to do anything about it because it's 4 days past their return policy. What do they expect me to do? Itemize everything in my closet every day to make sure nothing gets damaged. That is not what normal people do when they buy clothing from retail stores. Nothing gets damaged in the closet, heck, I bet even Forever21 or Marshall isn't this low quality. The item is not even cheap. I've been a long-time member of Nordstrom, so I expect at least Nordstrom Rack has acceptable quality, but apparently I was wrong. It totally fine I'm unable to return this item, but I'll never come back to any Nordstrom Rack again. If you buy anything from Rack, just make sure you check all the items within the return date, they may get damaged in the closet without you knowing, and they will shove you away when that happens. read more

Incompetent, aggressively negative and incredibly rude customer service snd I caring managers as well. When making a return, it was botched in a variety of ways and I was told incorrectly that things couldn't be returned at the store - when I told the obnoxious cashier that I haven't done so numerous times and that wasn't true- she copped a MAJOR attitude and again, proceeded to lie to me about the policies. She was so incredibly uncomfortable to interact with and had a major attitude problem, clearly customer service is not a good fit for the likes of this nasty, nasty, clueless and arrogant brand representative- it actually makes me long for robots or self check out which I normally stay away from. Way too many intelligent and kind, competent people without jobs are out there and need to be in this person's position instead- turn the tables please. In addition to this, she lied about other issues, again with the worst attitude. This is not someone who deserves a job let along at a classy store/brand such as Nordstrom//NR. She didn't have the people skills, personality or intelligence and clearly not only is a complete failure at her job but sense to dearest doing it and her main goal seems to be ensuring people never shop here or Lonnie at the entire brand again. I confirmed this with a manager and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Seriously?? Another fan r"manager" strikes again. The disdain for customers and for their own job is horrifying and completely unacceptable. I guess from the top down, the treatment of customers and a lack of customer service skills is the norm. This store is ruining the brand for sure. Such a shame really they need an entire overhaul of their employees- management and cashiers.. People at the top on the company chain really need to get rid of everyone here before they lose even more customers in the future. I can see by the NUMEROUS horrific reviews that this problem has been going on for quite some time, they know about it and have failed to give a s--t. I called their customer service multiple times and they refused to refund nor send me a replacement! Ridiculous I'm paying the damages for their delivery people's theft! What a joke! I really enjoyed this store! So many great items. There were a lot of designer gems. There are two floors. The first floor is for sunglasses and glasses. However the second floor is where you can find everything else. I feel like the shoe section here seems bigger than the other location on 31st. I haven't been to this location in maybe 3/4 years and it is even better than before. This has always been a nice Nordstrom but I feel like they get more designer items now then they had in the past. read more
