Nike Upper East Side was a great experience today. Just as I was told on Monday when I was there they had all the new Women's Nike Zoom Pegasus in all sizes and colors. I was assisted by Jason who greeted me when he unlocked the door. He took me through the complete purchase process. He told me the benefits of the rewards program if I sign up for the email. Today I saved 15% on my total purchase. He also said I have 60 days to return them if I don't like them. Excellent information. I'm definitely returning to this Nike Store when I need new shoes. read more

I'm actually sad about the fact that I'm writing this review. The last time I shopped in this store I had an amazing experience with the salesperson and I left with everything I needed for an extended vacation. This time, I went into the store to pick up an online order though, someone named YoFranchie or YoFarley or something along those lines was ruder than I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my 25 years of shopping in New York City. It had been an hour and 45 minutes since I placed my order and since the estimate was 2 hours and it was only one pair of shoes I stopped by to see if it was ready yet. I walk in and the store was completely empty and the employees were standing around chatting so I thought sweet they aren't busy maybe they'll be able to help me out! When I asked the cashier YoFranny he rolled his eyes and completely ignored me. He asked his equally rude coworker who had no nametag to get the shoes for me, and continued ignoring me. They handed me the bag and again, you guessed it, ignored me. A shame because I live in the area and will now literally never shop here. I just had the pleasure and privilege of stopping into this store and had the absolute best experience. Elvis M. "head coach" greeted me at the door as did his colleague. He immediately made me feel welcome and very much at ease. I went to get new Nike shoes. He looked at the shoes I was wearing and even though they are about 10 years old, he knew exactly what make and model they are and knew exactly where to direct me. This store is a runner's heaven. It's a Nike store with only Nike Run stuff. They have all kinds of things from running shoes, clothes and accessories. Just keep in mind that it is in the upper east side, and that Nike in general is expensive af. But nevertheless, the quality and design of their products is incomparable to other sporting companies. This is the worst Nike outlet ever... Every time I have been there I have to wait around for someone to assist me in getting my size in the shoe I have selected.. This has occurred even when the store is quiet...One of the salespeople who might have been busy had to tell the salesman that someone(me) needed assistance... Its funny that when I walk into the Adidas store on 5th they are all over me. I have a special liking to Nike for my own reasons but this new Nike store located on the Upper East Side is cool...Unlike that of the Niketown flagship store, you will not have to deal with the overly populated crowds and madness that comes with shopping there. You can have one on ones with the sales athletes to help you choose your liking of footwear and/or apparel/equipment. The selections vary but not as much as the flagship store but if you are looking for something specific and know what you want ahead of time and possibly call in advance I am sure they will be of service especially because they are well organized and not overwhelmed with customers most of the time. I would say mostly locals of the neighborhood attend here to see about Nike wear but if you are a tourist or just looking for some running footwear/apparel I am sure you will get something out of this specific Nike store. #SWOOSH read more

This new location of Nike Running Shop opened in November 2013 and features only running products. They have lots of Nike running shoes with a treadmill inside to let you test them out, and then the full range of running gear, from performance shorts and tights to dry wicking base layers and other cold weather gear, workout shirts, and singlets. The space is large and open, in a cool building. There's a small selection of shoe laces and accessories like hats/gloves/arm warmers, as well as a few non-Nike gear necessities like Body Glide, gels, and foam rollers. There is a very small amount of casual clothes, like t-shirts, but this is really a very focused run shop. The store also hosts running groups on Monday and Wednesday night, leaving from this location. read more

Stopped in here yesterday to pick up my birthday gift to myself - new sneaks. Upon entry I met Sebastian who was extremely helpful from the very start. I told him about what I was looking for and he took me on what I like to think was my journey to the perfect sneaker. He helped me narrow it down to two styles, and then brought each style out in two sizes to be sure I found the perfect fit. After I selected the one I wanted, he brought it out in my preferred color (in stock, yay!) and checked me out with this cool little iPhone-like device - no lines or anything! This time around I didn't shop for any clothes but they've got a lot of awesome gear there too. The store is clean, bright, and well organized, and the staff is just amazing. Hi everyone. I hardly ever write a review on here but I have noticed it has helped me to make my buying decisions. This store is awesome. I went to this store because my wife suggested it. I had bought sneaker st a third party Nike shop and the sneakers destroyed both my feet and knees. I even had to have knee surgery. I went to this site and as soon as I walked in I was made to feel special. I had three people call on me. I asked the manager, Storm, a question and I was delighted by the amount of information that this young man have me. I was introduced to Ken, an amazing young man that asked me a few questions as to where was I going to use the shoes. I told him I run/walk around the reservoir. Hi showed me a pair of sneakers then another pair. I like them both. One was for stability and the other one was soft stability. He then told me he'd like for me to take a test on the treadmill. I told him ok. He took out his iPad and ask me a few questions and I was put on the treadmill which takes pictures off how you run and analyses your steps. By the time I was finished with the treadmill the iPad suggested there pair of sneakers, two off which he had originally suggested. I bought the first pair. The kind of service and the kindness of the people in this store is amazing. The best part was the price. Thank you, Storm and Ken fur your outstanding service and hospitality. read more

I went to this store about 1 month ago. Great service and very helpful staff. Was looking for good running shorts with the high tech dri-fit fabric. The only downside, some of the pants did not come in all sizes. Limited inventory. I also orders online a pair of shorts, but did not like one of them and went to this store to exchange it. So annoyed. Nike stores are supposed to be able to accept returns from Nike.com. The packing slip says, "Nike.com purchases may also be returned to any Nike-owned retail store." I went yesterday to this store to return two tops which didn't fit. But I could not return them, because they can't return purchases made with Paypal. The store manager blamed it on the register, and even after I suggested returning it to a different form of payment, said he could do nothing. What the heck! read more

This is as good as it gets with any Nike (or any other athletic gear/apparel store). I had some time to kill in UES so I stumbled in here and the store was clean, organized, and the employees were super helpful and friendly. I was looking for a sports bra and the girl who helped me offered to help me look at other colors online and order them if I wanted. I ended up buying from the selection they had in store and when I went to check out, the girl who helped me gave me a coupon for a free flywheel class after I told her how much I loved spin classes. I live downtown but if I ever need anything from Nike I will come to this location from now on! I went there yesterday looking for some running shoes and I had a great experience! (I almost never write reviews). The people who work there are just amazing --well prepared, helpful, and super nice. I also appreciated that they didn't push me into buying anything -- although I spent almost a hour there and I tried on a lot of stuff! I did the Nike+ run analysis on the treadmill and it was fun and interesting. I got some great tips about shoes and learned about all these free activities they have, from weekly group runs in CP to yoga classes. I absolutely recommend this store! read more

Was in the market for a new running shoe and decided to stop in to try some out. Chris (with the long hair) helped me pick out the perfect shoe by spending over an hour tailoring to my needs. I ran with 4 pairs of shoes and assessed my running style, and we ended up choosing the Odyssey. Had to order a different color bc the colors in stock were basic. ;) With their 30 day return policy, you can't go wrong.
