FACTS lol. there's so much denim in here--it's INSANE! okay not insane, but there's a lot of variety in washes and fits for jeans. beyond jeans, they have a selection of other non-denim options but the focus is clearly jeans and jean products. there's also a denim tailor shop where you can get alterations, repairs, customization, and more for an additional fee. all in all was pretty impressed with the jeans selection especially since this store offers premium denim options like Japanese Selvedge in a limited number of washes. the store is really well-maintained, super clean, and well-organized. the fitting rooms are really large and mirrored so you can see how the denim actually fits and the lighting gives you a true sense of color. all in all, this Levi shop provides a good shopping experience and the staff are helpful and fairly knowledgeable. recently purchased two pairs of Levi's and pretty satisfied. this Levi store provides solid moderate options for denim enthusiasts and is a pleasant shopping experience for anyone who wants a speedy experience. read more

And after she had me try on some non-dad jeans, she also told me I have nice legs. After helping myself and finding my own fit and size, the dressing room attendant was very helpful and escorted me to my changing tent/room. I visited this Levi's store today because I'm starting to buy more durable, sustainable clothing and I wanted a couple of pairs of jeans that I knew would last. I usually buy from American Eagle but lately their jeans have been declining in quality. I wanted a pair of 100% cotton jeans which I knew meant they wouldn't have any stretch. For all of the styles that I was interested in (straight leg, flare jeans) the biggest size they had was a 32 waist. That is about a size 10 in women's jeans. This is unacceptable!! I have never had an issue finding my size in a store. I want to be able to try things on in the store because I want to love the way it fits before I buy it. Levi's -- do better!! Really beautiful layout, but I can't be surprised because it's the famous Levi's we're talking about. I just wish I could have had a better customer experience. I stopped in on a Monday evening to get a new pair of jeans because the all black Levi's pair I currently own is on heavy rotation so I need back-up. When I walked into the store, I was super excited because there were jeans everywhere on the walls, hung up, laid out on tables and they were so neatly organized that I didn't want to touch anything and mess it up because I've worked retail and know the struggle for fixing a pile just to have it all f***ed up. Any who, I walked about and saw a young woman folding. She looked up at me but simply continued folding. Not a "howdy," "good evening," "can I help you find something?" I decided to not be deterred but to keep walking around and maybe someone else on the floor would take notice. I saw more employees but they were more interested in fellowshipping with one another than assisting little ol' me find a new pair of classic, high-quality jeans. Can't say I'm absolutely sure this was due to prejudice but on three different occasions in the store, the workers (1 was a manager) (all white) greeted or asked a white person next to me if they needed help but ignored me (I'm asian). I ended up asking someone for help but definitely was a bit uncomfy. Dude working in the fitting room area was super super nice though (He was the only poc) and we had a good chat. The website confirmed that the store closes at 8pm on Saturdays. I got to the store a couple of minutes after 7 and I was told I could not go in because they were closing. When it was my turn for a fitting room, the guy working today just pointed me to a room without walking me over or helping me with my stuff, so I had to flag him down to ask him if they had a pair of jeans I'd picked up in a different size. I went in here on a Saturday afternoon: bad idea. I (tried to) walk through the store and immediately walked out. I hate shopping / trying on clothes, and jeans are the worst. Why are the boys working here so delicious? I come into a little change and decided the best way to spend it would be on some classic pieces for my wardrobe. I can't wear any other jeans for this price. It's just impossible. The cheap jeans fall apart and do not fit over the ba-dunka-dunk. So I invest in Levi's because they are built to last. I had a pair of jeans from here that I loved and lived in. And on one fateful day I I fell and broke my ankle and they had to cut my favorite pair of jeans off of me. Even in the throes of pain I begged the medic not to ruin my jeans. Sadly, we had to part. So I happily bought the same number yesterday and now I'm home and yelping in them when I could be in my pajamas. I don't care. I love these jeans. All my Levi's Even the ones that are too big for me. I can't get rid of them. There is definitely a time to go here. Anytime I show up it is not too populated so I can have a somewhat productive trip. A line to the dressing room is unavoidable. I hate waiting in it because the floor there is warped and caved in so it makes a lot of annoying noise. The staff in the fitting area ... totally useless. If you don't know what you need, bring a friend because you won't get anything back here except for some eye candy. There's a little sale section right near the fitting rooms too that makes my heart go pitter pat. I love the S word! There's nothing to really fall in love with. Epic fail, in a series of epic fails. For a once innovative brand, who for all intent and purpose influenced the entire modern world with the invention of denim pants, continues to be a once was. Let's be honest, there is really one thing these guys sell at this 'new store', blue jeans. If you sell one thing, shouldn't you do it better than everyone else? A cryptic assortment of 'cuts' merchandised in equally mysterious ways throughout a store that looks like it was designed in 1987 (that's not a compliment). I get that you were founded in San Francisco a hundred years ago, but how does the turn-of-the-century wharf-themed vernacular resonate with your customers who couldn't give a flying frick about your history and more than likely couldn't point out SF on a map? It's 2012, not 1912. Innovate or die. The 'one' sale person on the floor (apparently only distinguished by a wireless headset and nothing else) was busy doing something clearly more critical than helping the numerous confused customers. Ok, I know from the past that I want a pair of Levis 510's. Ok. Where are they? They sell just jeans here, can't be that difficult, can it? Wanna bet. Ok. 10 minutes of un-aided search, I find the minimally marked shelf of 510's. Pure merchandising genius. All folded, no prices visible and sizes hidden. Am I supposed to pull each stack apart? This Levi's store is exceptional. Big, roomy and full of Levi's for everyone in every size, shade color and print...didn't even know Levi's had prints! I like the spacious dressing rooms. They look like your own personal camping tent. This is also the only Levi's store that I've encountered that offers a selection of jeans for us curvy women. Minus a star because the so-called curvy jeans don't measure up to their claim. I tried on three pairs of Levi's for the "boldly curvy." They all fit too wide in the waist and they made my backyard look as flat as a pancake. Boldly curvy? I don't think so. Otherwise, this store is great. Very kind and helpful staff as well. read more

This is my location when jean shopping, I finally found a fit I like, the 514 slim straight. Now I just go back every 4 months or so and see if there's a new wash I like. On the last trip I saw the sale rack and super skinny 510's were on sale for $10 so I'm giving those a try. Definitely won't wear them out for a big dinner though, these are TIGHT man. Particularly around the calves. I'm no Russel Brand that's for sure. I like this location best followed by the 14th Street location. The styles here are definitely superior to what you would buy in other retail locations BTW. Go on, give it a shot. Just stay away from the acid wash, PLEASE. read more

I was here last night for the launching of the new Levi's Lens Pack for the Hipstamatic iPhone app. This place has a nice set up. Vintage Cameras, lots of photographs on the wall that are not framed, but held up with just nails. Very creative. Old man Levi is coming back with a vengeance. This photo gallery/party space is gorgeous from head-to-toe. Obviously the exhibits, but also the layout and the hipsters who frequent it (often in underwear that masquerades as shorts). It exudes downtown cool. The Levi's brand has epitomized classic, casual American style since their Levi Strauss jeans were invented in 1873 and quickly became some of the most recognizable and imitated clothing in the world. Half decent... I've been wearing Levi's for over 30 years now (things last forever) so I found myself needing a new pair and this place let me down. There just isn't much there due to the size. I'd recommend going elsewhere or just going to Levis.com, Awesome Sale... Levi's makes beautiful jeans and this store had the 531 skinny khaki colored jeans on sale for under 20 bucks. Perfect for the summer time...to secretly wear to work and then after work to hang out with friends! The store was hip and trendy, had a nice selection and a wonderful staff! read more

This is one of the few stores where my husband and I both like to go shopping. Somehow we both fit into their jeans and love the way they feel. He's tall and I'm short, and that's ok, they have jeans for everyone. Once a year we make our annual trip here to get a pair jeans we'll know we'll get many uses out of. I'm not saying these are the only jeans I end up wearing, actually since I'm short, I tend to buy jeans whenever they come in a short size that way I save money hemming them up. But I do have to say, they are classic jeans with many different colors and styles to choose from and that's what I love about this place. The people will help you find your size no problem, everything is as organized as it could possibly be, and no the jeans aren't that expensive when you look at designer jean prices. Yes, they are more money than Gap and Old Navy, but it is Gap and Old Navy we are talking about. I stopped by because I was early for a nail appointment. I purchased two shirts which took a tad too long to ring up because the registers aren't real and cashiers have to use cell phones to ring guests out. The cashier handed me a bag which was clearly a sleeve for shipments, this would be fine if the colors didn't bleed. The bag had no handles so I had to grab it with a clenched fist. After my nail appointment I realized the make shift bag from Levi's was bleeding all over my palms and my $75 manicure, luckily I was able to wipe it off. The shipment bag for purchased products is inconvenient and unacceptable. I will be returning because I only wear Levi's but I won't accept a shipment sleeve as a bag, also there were many staff members organizing and fixing displays but there was only one register available for checkout. I give three stars because I've been here many times and I'm usually pleased with the service but today there was a sale and maybe they were bombarded so I will give them a pass but they need to change that bag! read more

Terrible store, managers and employees here gave me inconsistent answers related to promo codes and caused me to carry two heavy pairs of jeans all the way there and not ended up being able to get my money back although I had purchased similar items using the exact same promo before. BF and I went to this store on a Saturday afternoon. The last time my BF had purchased jeans, Sk8ter Bois were in (yes, it's been that long) and the last I had purchased new jeans, I was XXlbs lighter (too afraid to step on a scale to quantify it- sorrynotsorry). For men's clothes, in a store with an intimidating selection, I find the best dressed male employee who is doing his job (and not just standing around ignoring you). For my BF, I found Frederick. I waited patiently for him to finish with a svelte male customer and then asked if he was free. He nodded and then I explained the problem and waved a hand over my BF. "Please help." He took one look at him and said "34 Short Athletic". He brought us over to the correct display and dug out a pair of the aforementioned jeans. He pointed in the direction of the fitting room and asked if we needed anything else. I said that we wanted to purchase at least 2 pairs so would need more help as soon as we confirmed his size. Frederck announced that he needed to go on his break but that he was going to leave us in very capable hands. When we were in the fitting room, Matthew(?) came over and introduced himself. Frederick's pick was spot on! Matthew was very nice and when my BF cautiously identified that men seemed to be wearing skinny legs, nowadays, he helped the BF find a second pair of very nice fitting skinnier leg jeans. While they were in the fitting room, I spied a wonderful courier jacket that I knew would be awesomesauce for the BF's build and I brought it over. Matthew looked at the jacket in my hand and said "very nice! That just came in and I have one, too! That's going to be great on him!" We coaxed the BF to try it on, and even he had to admit it was great when he looked in the mirror. BF bought the 2 pairs of jeans and the jacket. I asked Matthew if he could help with the women's jeans, as I only needed to get 1 pair. Perhaps the desperation and hopelessness of my feelings about getting a pair of jeans for my new fat a$$ triggered flight in him but lucky for me he said "I don't think I'm the person to help you with that but I know who can." He led me over to a woman (Darlene) surrounded by a flock of European customers and spouting sizes and cuts to her assistant(?). He caught her eye, and pointed to me. She met my eyes and said "I will help you in 1 minute. Let me just finish up with these ladies. I got you, hon." I expected dealing with 7 customers would take a while but was astounded when she proceeded to address each one's issues within about 20 seconds a piece. A few didn't have English but she seemed telepathic in her ability to know exactly what each woman needed. 1 such customer, Darlene asked her to lift her shirt and when the customer didn't understand, she pantomimed it and as soon as the customer did, she waved the customer over to a new section. "You want a 26 long." pulling a pair off the shelf, pointing to the size sticker. I was seriously impressed and intimidated. She asked me how she could help. I explained that I had gained so much weight even my current pants didn't fit (BDUs with the waist folded down). She asked if I knew what style of jean I liked and all I could reply is "not too skinny, I have freakishly large calves" She laughed, squinted at my waist (which was buried under 2 layers of sweater + hoody) and selected a pair for me and said, "ok, try these on. If they don't fit, come back to me, because I got you." I tried them on and while I was able to get them on, my heart sank because I was pinched at the waist but I could sit. I was unsure, do jeans with so much stretch need to be purchased too tight? I came back out and found her. When she asked how they were I said "I like the leg and the rinse of this 1 pair but how much muffin top is too much muffin top?" She laughed and said "I got you. We can do better than that." She explained that while I have a short inseam, if I tried one of the same waist size with a longer inseam, there would be more room in the waist. My legs are so short I'd have to hem short jeans anyway so hemming extra longs would make no difference to me. I tried on a same size waist with an extra long leg and HALLELUJAH!! Darlene is amazing. I had to hug her or cry over my new jeans and so she let me hug her while we were flush with this victory. They fit and look great. Levis should give Darlene a raise (hopefully they are already paying her a lot) and she should have at least 5 assistants during peak shopping hours. People leave jeans stores because they are overwhelmed with the choices and get cranky tired after blindly trying on a few pairs. The only thing limiting her ability to move even more merchandise is the fact that there is only 1of her but salespeople like her are VERY rare and do so much more for the brand than just push a pair of jeans. I used to buy DL1961s but you can be damn sure I'm going to this Levis first, next time, because of Darlene. read more

The store is nice enough, but I have to question the way they do business. I came in to return a 4 jeans I bought online (cyber monday sale). I wanted to exchange the jeans because I ordered the wrong sizes. The dude tells me I can exchange them but their will be a price adjustment and I will have to pay the difference between what I originally payed and what the store was selling the jeans for on the day I went in. I could understand that policy if I wanted to exchange the jeans for different types of jeans, but I just wanted a different size!? So I ended up just returning everything. Basically they lost all my business because they would not permit me to exchange the jeans for the right size. How does this make sense? I guess they would rather lose the sale than actually accommodate the customer. Sounds like a winning business strategy to me! read more

Came in here tonight to see some college friends. I don't usually shop at Levi's but I decided to look around anyways. Staff was super friendly, striking up conversation about my tattoos and piercings. Its super cool how the back-up selection of jeans are right behind where they are hanging. I ended up walking out with a pair of white skinny jeans for under $30, thanks to the sales going on. The dressing rooms were clean and everyone seemed happy to be at work, something that is super refreshing in the city. It was about an hour and a half before closing, so I didn't experience heavy crowds and didn't have to wait to try and my jeans. It was a peachy shopping experience and I will be returning to Levi's in the future. read more

Levis are where it's at - I gave up on Gap jeans. This store rules, and pretty much always has your size. It's great when they "check in the back" and the back is right behind the rack. There is some futuristic jean-sizing-machine-thing near the fitting rooms, which is scary. The fitting rooms are also a bit weird, as they're just circular curtains and not rooms, per se. The checkouts are really slow. But, whatever. Great stuff. read more
