Great clothes and service! The location is convenient too. It is definitely a good store to check out when in NYC.

Would probably give them zero stars for customer service. DO NOT buy from this place! Not only do they jack up prices of stuff which are pathetic in quality, they are a pain when it comes to return. The person selling the item will tell you you could return it within 14 days with receipt, only to come back and they tell you you have to buy something worth this price. The woman at the counter was extremely rude and she snapped at me. When I told her she was being disrespectful she said no And that she was just doing as per policy. This place is absolutely shit Beware and next time you are in NYC stay away from these guys. The store is empty most of the times read more

Great bags here!! Love it custom crystal bags i got this gorgeous gold black basketball purse!

The workers were very helpful! Beautiful clothes!

Absolutely the most interesting and original accessories i've seen around. In midtown Manhattan it's easy to find flashy and expensive stores selling cheaply made stuff. Not this one !!! Superb customer service too, a must stop for me whenever i come back to NYC. read more

Love this store especially that is has stylish stuff and the customer service is amazing with Malick

I was doing some last minute shopping and I came across this store I was looking for a fashion belt to accessorize with. I found my belt and then took a look around and found so many cute blouses and pants and left with a bag of clothes. Malik was such a great help with putting together an outfit for me!!! read more

Went to Barami for the 1st time today looking for an evening party dress. The ladies that worked there (probably owners) were super helpful & lovely! Honest opinions and not pushy. Great prices, great quality. Was selecting between 2 dresses and the prices were so great I got both. I will definitely be going back. read more

I had a similar experience as the woman with the fur. I bought a bag at the Brooklyn location and the saleswoman there specifically called this Manhattan location to make sure I could return it there if I wanted to since this location is more convenient for me. I went to return it and the woman at this Manhattan location told me accessories were final sale and she wouldn't accept the return. This was obviously the opposite of what I had been told. She also said the policy was stated on the receipt. When I showed her it clearly wasn't she still wouldn't accept the return. Finally she said she would "make a very special exception" and give me a credit. Pretty shystery. read more

Really like this location. There is a sign by the register that notes the return policy. Great selection and sales!

They don't exchange furs and don't tell you when you buy! It happened to me with a 41:30 hairband still in the package. Things on sale that is everything cannot be returned only exchanged. read more

So I got off early from my practice today and saw that there is a new Barami Outlet store that has just popped up right across the street from where I live. I was really excited to go in and start shopping, I saw a couple of things I like and was going to buy them, the total would have probably been at least $350.00. (I wanted to buy some bags and a couple of necklaces.) When I first walked in I was greeted by a nice woman who told me that all bags and accessories were on sale. Great vibe, she also told me that the store is going to permanently stay there--I was excited about this! I was intrigued by the bags which were near the display window, and I wanted to see the front design of them. There was a mannequin slightly blocking them. My purse accidentally brushed the side of the mannequin (which I caught, it didn't end up falling because i was holding it.). An African-American woman (I don't know her name so this is the only way to describe her) came over and looked at me and said the following: ''You know, I'm going to TEACH you something today, if you want something in the display ASK." I WAS IN COMPLETE SHOCK. Are you freaking kidding me lady? I'm sorry (I did apologize to her TWICE) for accidentally brushing into the mannequin. Also, ''display window'' usually means an item or items which are inside of a window, not on the freaking FLOOR''. This woman had no right to speak to me like that--i'm sure there's a lot you have to learn in your life too...like the fact that you will never be able to work at a high-end store with that kind of pathetic attitude-also, stop taking your job so seriously, the max you're making is $10.00. Your manager should teach you how to talk to customers before even allowing you to be on the floor because with that kind of behavior it's very trashy and makes a customer that has money to throw down on your store very upset and wanting to never go back. Again, lady, DON'T EVER, ever (Can I stress ever) tell someone, that you're going to teach them something--always remember you have no idea who you're speaking to. Barami Manager's--your selection isn't bad, but please, fix your employee--she needs some serious tutorials on customer service and what it means to be in the retail business. I wasn't your burden, i'm part of what's getting you paid each month. Dr. Andrea Stein, MD read more

I went into Barami on 519 8th avenue today during the sale, to look at the 30% off bags and accessories. The sales associate, an older Caucasian brunette woman (called herself Carrie) , was shockingly disrespectful and inappropriate. I browsed for 15 minutes or so, until she said to me in a snarky tone" you still haven't found anything?" I was so shocked, I put a bracelet and a pair on earrings on the counter and decided to pay and get out of there... but she was not done..... When i politely asked when the sale would be over, because I would like to come in next week when I have more time... she replied "the sale is over when it ends"- I then asked for a business card so I could remember the address, when she signaled with hand gestures to a location on the counter that was in front of the register... rudely insisting that the cards were right there, in front of me.... when in fact-- there were NO CARDS in that spot.. the cards were on the oppos8ite end of the counter, hidden behind merchandise. You think she would be done... NOPE.... Finally, she bagged up my items and handed them to me. I asked for her to remind me again what the original prices were for both items, since one did not have any tags and I was trusting her..... she replied " read your receipt!" .... but she DIDN'T EVEN GIVE ME MY RECEIPT YET! She then pushed the receipt over tome / in my direction with a ton of attitude,. She then backed away from the register, as if to say " i am done helping you or talking to you"... I most likely would have spent more money in Barami today and I would have gone back again...... but I will never step foot in that store again now, and all because of some old wrinkly half wit with no respect for herself. her job, or anyone else. read more

The Barami store on 8th Ave in Manhattan is a store I visit all the time. I get good customer service no matter the time or day. I go there and shop and the customer service especially with one particular worker is above and beyond the call of duty. To be honest, if I go to the store and she is not there, then I will leave and come back when she gets there. That is how much I trust her judgment on the clothing that I purchase at the store. In all my time of shopping at the store, I have never seen any of the employees treat any customers with any rudeness and or disrespect and customers coming in for the most part have always been decent and respectful. Expect for yesterday. Yesterday was the first time I saw an employee of the store acting out of her normal good natured self, and to be honest, if I was in her situation I would have acted up too. So this was what transpired. Three young ladies came in the store. Once they walked through the security sensors they started beeping. The worker proceeded to ask the ladies if they wanted her to check to see what was setting off the sensors. However, they declined. The worker then proceeded to tell them they could shop t is ok, however, when they are leaving the store if the buzzer goes off then she will have to check them as this was the policy of the store. This to my knowledge is customary in any store if you are passing through the sensor and the beep goes off. Security will have to check your bags. Then one of the young lady(customer) just stop and was just standing there staring down the worker with a nasty look on her face as if she wanted to start a fight and a quarrel. The worker ignored her and continued to do her work while she kept a watchful eye on the young ladies. Upon them leaving the store, the sensor went off and they again started to beep. So the security guard stopped them check their bags. Of course nothing was found in the bags however, they kept on beeping. I mean it was quite obviously that they had something on that the sensor was picking up One of the young lady clothing on her was very bulky so my guess is that they had something on them before they came into the store. The guard checked the bag. The guard said its ok you can go as he found nothing in the bag. I for sure thought they were gone and overheard one of the worker whom I think also thought that they were gone started to tell the guard what happen when the ladies came into the store . While the worker was talking to the guard one of the young ladies walked back in the store pretended she was looking at something and started cursing and yelling at the employee. I thought this customer was a bit crazy and her actions were that of someone guilty of something. I don't know why she flipped out on the employee as she was merely doing her job and following the company policies. If you walk in a store and you start beeping and know you have nothing to hide, then what is the big deal in having the employees of the store check your bags etc to see what is setting off the sensor? IF you have nothing to hide then that shouldn't be an issue. The worker honestly was doing her job and got cursed out, yelled at and ridicule by these three young ladies. Customers are not always right.... Anyway love the store and will continue to shop there especially if Fern is there. She is the best. Excellent worker, great customer service qualities and she knows how to help you pick out the right outfit. She is very welcoming and sometimes you hear her welcoming you into the store before yu even see her. Great Empoyee....Great Asset to Barami read more
