I was shopping today for business appropriate clothes. The store is over-crowded with displays, there is little to no signage to help you find the department you are looking for. At one point I was on the right floor, but couldn't figure out where to go, so I tracked down a staff member and she just pointed and said "over there." In the department, one staff member was almost off her shift, and made some comments out loud within earshot of customers about her long day and how she had to get out of there. I don't fault her for wanting to leave work the second her shift was over, but no complaining in front of customers! The department was under-staffed, and I had little to no help the entire time I was there. Weird side note: I was wearing my whimsical/hip "Future Rock Star" shirt, and the woman at the counter thought that meant I was actually a future rock star, as though rock star college only gives these out to promising matriculants. read more

REGISTRY:I live right around this corner from this location and shop here frequently. My fiance and I are doing our registry here. We thought we were only able to get crystalwear at places like William Sonoma. This location has the widest selction of any Macy's I've seen. It fits anyone's budget. The associates who are in charge of the registry were very helpful and even offered us a coffee. When the associates show great customer service, I know management is doing well in training them. MENS: @Korey P. You probably just had a bad experience. Associates always approach and asks if I need assistance. The number of associates scheduled depends on the time day, day in the week, season, etc. If there is only 3 assocites for men's they probably won't know about everything. If you were in suits asking about jackets, shoes asking about slack, or pj asking about jeans, chances are, none of them are going to be able to help you. I was really surprised at the low stars this place had. I came here to have a quick look around and buy some Lancome, as they had Gift with purchase. As you know ladies this is a great time to buy. I had to wait awhile before I was offered help. But, if are ever in the situation the best secret way to get help is.... Just take the expensive face cream and use it as hand cream. If you have short selves on you can even put it on your arms. Then in no time you will get a ,"Can I help you"? Why yes you can. It is not starting trouble but, they were just standing there talking among themselves. Any who!! After that I bought a few things that I needed and got my gift with purchase. I also looked around in the jewelry dept. They were selling Christmas Betsy Johnson for only 50% off. Good Heavens we are at the end of Feb.put it to 75% off . Get rid of it. I am very disappointed and shocked at macys. I ordered some UGG shoes on line. I was so excited they finally had my size. when I got my order they send me 2 different pair of shoes. I was so mad and disappointed and angry all at once. how can someone send 2 different pair of shoes to their customer. don't they open the box and look to make sure its the correct order. then I of course take it to macys in gallaria for a refund and ask for corporate number. the employee there had the nerve to tell me I don't know look it up on line. really WOW. what a customer service. read more

I don't know why every Macy's I've been to in the recent past looks like the day after Black Friday: everything in disarray, racks of clothes disheveled, etc. I don't think an employee at this store has ever offered me assistance. The bathroom here looks like what you'd see in a store that was abandoned five years ago: dirty walls, broken fixtures. I guess this location isn't turning much of a profit so they haven't updated anything in forever. The whole store is very dated and looks like it's been all but forgotten by corporate. read more

I am not normally big on shopping in department stores, but took a trip to Macy's at the Galleria with my husband today to help him find a suit and Erin in the men's department absolutely blew me away with such top quality customer service! He was going above and beyond for us and was so attentive to my husbands likes and dislikes. We had such a good experience that we ended up buying everything in 1 go - suit, tie, shirt, shoes, belt... That never happens! Erin's help was so valuable and it's not every day that you see such exceptional customer service. We will definitely go back now that we know you can actually have a great experience in a department store! read more

Andrea the manager, is completely unprofessional. Asked her if I could have corporates number and she gave me a smart ass comment back. Here's the break down. -had a 30 minute break, went ahead and shopped around Macy's for some sheets for my bed since I'm sleeping on nothing. -found a nice one and continued to check out, nobody on the second floor so I went ahead to the third floor. Third floor a nice lady was helping a women with online ordering (no big whoop 15 minutes left on break) -2 other cashiers, both helping individuals quite slowly. (Understandable, it's a slow day) -Manager (Andrea) walks up, apologizes for the wait. Thank you! Actually appreciated it. -Kept waiting to be helped. -finally made it to my turn and cashiers leave to go help other customers on sales floor including manager, customers that came AFTER ME. -I started walking around looking for someone, specifically the manager because she was nice. -Another lady from out of nowhere comes and helps. -By that time Andrea has reappeared and apologized again for the wait. (It's been 20 minutes past my break at this point) -I asked for a higher superiority's number and gave her my reasoning nicely. (I'm not rude, I understand customer service but I just felt like it was needed that they can do something about the cashiers not being at the register) She said "if you only have a 10 minute break maybe you shouldn't be shopping with us to start with" -blood started boiling over. -Finally got a hold of another manager and explained the situation. Be aware Andrea couldn't look up and kept walking to the back when I was by the register after speaking to the other manager. I work in the mall so Macy's just got a bad rep on my end. I use their restroom since it's closest to my job anyways so I'm pretty sure I'll see her again. read more

Arrive and they state that their inventory is off and don't have any left, refer me to Northpark and extra 50 min round trip. Not apologetic at all, no discount offered for the extra hour of my time driving even though I went to the trouble of confirming that they were supposed to be "in-stock" at this location. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I purchased a Queen size Simmons Beautyrest mattress set from this store on November 14, 2015. Here it is not even 3-years later and the mattress has a sink hole in it that's causing me back and hip pain. I reached out to Simmons and they advised me to call Macy's Bed. I called them and they scheduled a technician to come out and look at the mattress. He came today, 4/21/2018, and called in to Macy's to report a 1" depression on the left side AND on the right side of the mattress. The representative at Macy's stated that since it was only 1" there wasn't anything they could do about it until it reached 1 1/2" depression. I expressed that I was already having back and hip pain from this and the representative put me on hold. She finally came back on and said because it's a contract with Simmons they can't do anything about it, even though the mattress has a 10-year manufacturer's warranty......Essentially Macy's is willing to let me have continued pain over a 1/2" difference. The representative said "if it gets worse I can call and they'll send another technician out and then see about replacing it"...... read more

I have always loved Macy's...until this evening!! Myself and my 2 adult daughters were shopping in the shoe dept and could not get any assistance. We finally got the one and only sales representatives attention but the phone rang and around she turned to answer the phone!! You have live, in your face consumers and you decide to answer the phone!! Wrong decision!! You just lost $$! Left that department and went upstairs to ladies clothing...again...could not get any assistance! All I wanted to do was buy a pair of slacks without walking thru the whole floor to find a cashier. The employees in the Men's section were useless! Came in looking for a specific brand and design of shorts that we knew Macy's carries. Asked 3 employees for help and none of them were helpful! Each of them stated that they only know about the brand in their section and told me to go ask someone else. After ~ 20 min of looking, we found them, in the clearance rack labeled 50% off. They were still priced at full retail at the checkout. Great to try them on, but will be ordering online now... Way to go Macy's! read more

i have been coming to this macy's for all my clothing needs. they often have special sales on discontinued items that i like to pick from time to time. overall the customer service is very friendly and accommodating. during one of my recent visits i liked a pair of pants which did not have a price tag on it and was sitting on the pile of clearance items. i thought it was on clearance. when the cashier scanned the pants the price was not what i was expecting. i told her that i found it on the clearance rack and she explained me how customers sometimes just throw clothes all over the store and would honor the original price. she was kind enough to give me a 5% discount for inconvenience. store itself is clean but i just wish the north parking lot entrance right into the macy's was bit more crowded. it looks pretty shady. read more

Attempted to buy a dress at the Dallas Galleria location today using my Macy's charge card which I admittedly haven't used in awhile. (I now remember why I haven't shopped at Macy's in some time.) Of course, using the Macy's charge is the only way to get the discount. The account is apparently inactive because the transaction wouldn't go through. The employee suggested I use another card, but I would no longer receive the discount. I asked if she could check to see why the transaction was not going through and she said I would have to call the 1-800 on the back of the card. I asked where customer service is located, and I was informed that they no longer have a customer service department in their stores. It's via the website or 1-800. Macy's isn't interested in my money, in providing impecable customer service nor in having me as a customer with a charge account. No problem, bye Macy's!! read more

buy a bed from macy dept store even though my husband was set against it the bed I choose is not the same bed I texted at the store iam angry sad upset the bed don't have enough padding in it it feel like youre sinking at top of my bed thread come out string everywhere as if they rush it. to make the bed.so fast.iam so angry cause I cant sleep.i go from the foot to the top but find I sleep better at the bottom the middle and the bottom of the bed is even the top huge sink and the threading pulling away from the mattress. the material the cover is loose not fitted around the side as it should be the bed I choose suppose to be cool it hot iam mad for AS MUCH MONEY WE PAID IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT NOT THREAD COMING OUT COVER ON MATTRESS LOOSE AND SINKING AT THE HEAD OF THE BED FROM NOT ENOUGH PADDING INSIDE , WHAT I WANT IS THE BED I CHOOSE ARE MY MONEY BACK REMAKE IT RIGHT.IVR AWLAYS SHOW MACY BUT NEVER FOR A BED AGAIN NEVER. read more
