God forbid you make a mistake on your order. I needed to change the shipping address after I ordered my clothes and they wouldn't let me change the address while the order hadn't even been processed. All because I called 40 minutes after and not under 30 minutes after I made the order. What kind of rule is that? So not only could I not get my clothes, I didn't get a refund either and I'm out $80. They said take it up with the delivery service, even though THEY wouldn't let me change my address. I've shopped here for the last 15 years and I'm absolutely done. read more

I have been shopping at Express for about 10 years now, and of course have had mixed experiences, but I must commend the girl who helped me on my last visit at the Galleria location. I bought a super cute sequin skirt at a different location and I was very excited about wearing it since I recently lost weight and can now fit into a small! After trying it on again at home, I noticed that there were a few holes in the side seam and a couple of the sequins were loose. I went to the Galleria to exchange the skirt for a new one but they had already sold out in store and online. The tags were still on the skirt but I couldn't find the receipt anywhere at home. Thankfully the girl helping me was able to pull up the receipt since I have an Express credit card. After realizing she wouldn't be able to exchange my skirt, I asked if there was anything she could do since I bought the skirt in that condition unknowingling. She quickly and politely responded that she would give me a $20 credit since that was the difference between the price I paid and the now sale price of the skirt. She was also very empathic and pointed out that I was going to have to have the skirt repaired and she didn't think it was right that I pay for it. Kudos to this employee (sorry, I wish I knew her name). I had a bad experience at a previous store and was not in a good mood when I came in and she was able to turn that around completely by doing the right thing. I am in the hospitality industry and truly appreciate efficient and thoughtful service, especially in a retail setting. read more

What a great experience in the Galleria Express. I went to North Park to spend about $300 on some work clothes and I spoke with not one associate. They didn't have my size so I went to see the what the Galleria had and met the nicest sales associate. I can't recall his name, Alejandro maybe, he was short and Hispanic and adorable. Well he greeted me with a big smile and asked to help me find my size, which is such a hassle for me, and he let me know they don't carry much 34 inseam anymore in store. I'm 6'2" after all. When he explained it, he even said, we can't all be so blessed with your height. Lol. He ordered everything for me I liked in my size online right in store, and it was delivered that week. Very cool. I stopped in here to find some new winter clothes and this place had a great selection! The staff was very accommodating and made sure that I received help when I needed it. I only had 1 small problem; a girl was supposed to be looking for a shirt for me in a larger size and after waiting 5 minutes in the dressing room I left the dressing room and found her leaving the store to take her lunch break. Not a BIG deal, but I do wish she would have said something. Overall the look of the store and the friendliness of the staff make this a retail store I'll be visiting again. read more

I walked into the Express at the Galleria mall and started looking at some pants that were on a table on the women's side, in the front of the store. I was approached by this middle eastern guy ( he had dark brown skin with an accent, he was wearing a navy blue button up that day) he asked...." Did you find your size?" I replied, I am not sure what size I am now, I used to be a 0, do you think I am a 4 or a 6? He replied, " I can't help you if you don't know your size". I couldn't believe he had said that to me, I looked at him and said well I will try a 4 and a 6 to see which one fits me. He looked through the stack that I went through and I told him that all of the sizes in the stack were 0's. He then started walking to the back and said " I'll look in the back". He was not only very rude with the comment he made to me, but also the way he was interacting with me, he made it seem like he didn't want to help.Im standing in that area upfront waiting on him. I waited about ten minutes when I decide to look for him to see what is going on. He was standing by the door that goes to the back and he was talking to some co-workers, it seemed like they were all joking around so I decided to take the initiative to find what I need, I wasn't going to wait on him any longer. I actually found the pants in another section in the middle of the ladies section in the store. I grabbed them then headed to the fitting room. I walk over and no one is attending the fitting room. I look over to the register and see the manager standing by it, another sales person there with a customer, and the guy that helped me earlier is going in and out of the back talking to whoever was in the back. I then try to open the doors myself, all the doors were locked, I looked for the key to open on of the doors myself and I didn't see a key anywhere so I stood at the front on the fitting room waiting for someone to come help me. A few minutes later, the guy that "went looking for the pants", comes up to me while I'm standing by the fitting rooms and says " We don't have the pants in a 6 in the back", I replied, " you guys have another stack of those pants in the front of the store, on that middle table...He looked at me and goes " we do?" he was very embarrassed then tried complimenting the color of my eyes, it was strange. At that moment I asked him if he could open one of the fitting room doors for me, he replied" oh, you need a fitting room?" I mean, it was pretty clear I would think, I'm standing in front of a fitting room with clothes in my hands and just asked for him to open a door for me but I guess that wasn't clear enough... I then told him "Yes, I would like to try on these clothes". He let me in then walked away. In my fitting room on the floor was a sensor ( the side with a tack on it) faced up. I moved the sensor out of harms way, then tried on the clothes. I went out of my fitting room to get a few tops and noticed that there were customers everywhere on the floor. I pass the register and the manager is still up there, this guy was white, had brown hair and a leather jacket. I assume he was a manager because he got on the headset a few times. I walk over to the ladies section to find a few tops and there were a few employees standing there just chatting. I was very surprised because the manager wasn't busy, why was he not managing his floor? It didn't seem like anyone was actually working, just talking to each other. I actually passed a customer that was facing the register asking for help and no one responded to her, so she walked out of the store. i grabbed the shirts I wanted then headed to the fitting room. there was only four employees on the floor, counting the manager, at least on the women's side, but that seems where the heavy traffic is usually since the fitting room is located there, along with the register. I get back to the fitting room and no one is around. I even left my door open so I could get back in without bothering conversation to get help. After selecting my clothes I headed to the register. There was only one girl at the check out at this time, she was hispanic, wearing white, long hair. the manager was up there again, he wasn't ringing customers up, he just kept walking up there and would look at some paperwork then walk away. There was then a line forming behind me so then the manager called for help on his headset to check out, finally--- The door opened from the back and 4 employees walked out at the same time and got on the registers. That just didn't make any sense to me. You sent 4 people on a break together while your store was busy? The store seemed poorly managed, actually, it didn't seem like there was any managing at all. read more

I recently came in to find some work clothes, and two employees (Jasmine and Jo I think) checked on me in the fitting area multiple times, swapped sizes when I needed it, and kept a chipper attitude the whole time. They took the time to work with me and type in all of my info and coupons when they had trouble with their system checking out, and tolerated my indecisiveness like champs. read more
