I'm so glad there's a Sam Moon in Arlington. I really enjoyed walking around, looking at all the merch. There's lots of jewelry to look at, there was a handful of people when I was browsing and we all seem to be looking at the same stuff and going in the same direction, you know how that goes. Lol. Hats and Belt were 20% off. I was looking for a Floppy Hat. Sam Moon offers a variety of Hats. Even though Sam has a variety of Hats, I was not able to walk out with one. oh well. One employee was really nice. He helped me get down a Hat that I wanted to try on. He watched me try on the hat and said, I was ready for the picnic. Lol. Hats off to the Woman Customer in the store who showed me how to wear a hat. Check out is right in the center of the store and in the back. There is a bit of a line too. I would definitely recommend Sam Moon. It's a lot of fun, they have good customer service and the prices are competitive too. They have just about everything that you can think of. read more

I was in town and wanted some sparkly hair clips. I just love Sam Moon although I have a nickel allergy that's bad so I cannot wear fake metals. I cannot even west the earrings but I like looking around and they have luggage shoes...everything and the prices are so reasonable. Live this place. I always pop in if possible. Some of the quality isn't the best but you get what you pay for. You could certainly get some great party or evening pieces and even dramatic pieces for a fraction of anywhere else and they look really good! read more

I use to shop in here all the time. Haven't been back for a while since in no longer live in Arlington. Went there this past weekend with a group of ladies, two of which never been to a Sam Moon store. We were followed around by this old man everywhere we went. The women behind the counters rolled their eyes at us. Saw the old man say hello and smile at other customers in the store, but they were not black like myself and my group. I put back every item I had, made note of it, and did not purchase a thing. Went on Amazon that night and found all the items I wanted at the same prices or cheaper. Hey, I tried to support this business but if they don't want it fine. My thinking is, they don't like black people, better curve that attitude. I went in to purchase a clutch for my daughter's prom but did not appreciate being followed around like a criminal. I used to work at Macy's and learned years ago that the ones who you perceive to be crooks do not look like your stereotypical idea of a criminal. I'm not sure why I was targeted, besides the fact that I am a black woman. Not that it matters, but had just gotten off work and was in business attire. I don't know what caused the gentleman to follow me around from one side of the store to the other, but I won't be back. Wow. Staff is insanely rude. One blonde cashier yelled at my disabled mom and grabbed her cart from her bc she sat down on the bench, because she's disabled and they have nowhere for her to sit which is fine if you need to tell us we can't sit there with our cart but not yelling at us and grabbing our cart. The other blonde cashier rang up our stuff wrong after we had told her how we wanted it rang up then blamed us for her mistake. Super freaking rude. read more

Did not know this place open up around here! I remembered Sam Moon was THE pit stop in Dallas. Basically this is a large, store that sells EVERYTHING, at a discounted price. From purses, to necklaces and bracelets, to watches, scarves, and even tiaras. They have all every accessory that you could probably imagine. If you've ever been to an open market, that's what the inside looks like. Purses are put out on open tables in the masses ranging from different styles to different colors. Walk down another isle and you're in the scarf place, with tons of color selection! You could literally spend all day in here browsing from one section of the store to the next. The best thing about this place? Price is cheap! You could get a purse for around $25, an infinite scarf for $7, watches/necklace/bracelets/earrings for $5! The bad part about it? You get what you pay for. Since it's cheap, you're not going to get the best quality around, so don't be surprise if whatever you bought ripped/broke/tore on you. I recently purchased earrings at Sam Moon, and as soon as I took them out of their package they broke. I went back to the store simply to return or exchange them for another pair and the manager, Ester, refused to do either and claimed that it was my fault like I was some criminal trying to steal money back from the store which made no sense. The manager was so beyond rude to my mother and I, and as we were leaving another employee approached us and apologized for her behavior. I came in to buy a pair of earrings for an event. I knew actually what I wanted. Granted, I came in 10 minutes till close because of traffic and work. i didn't know they closed at 7. I walked in and a guy greeted me by saying, you have 10 minutes until we close. they followed me around and made comments like "you have 5 minutes". I understand wanting to close on time but when a customer is finalizing her purchase, there is no need to follow them around, rush her, and remind her of the clock. I felt very rushed and the employees were very rude. they were all staring at me the whole time I was shopping. I have worked a serval places where I had to stay late because a customer wasn't done shopping, eating, etc. I understand wanting to get off on time, but this was excessive and unnecessary. read more

I don't see what the big deal is... but then again- I don't carry a purse or wear jewelry. What I do like about this store is the variety of colors the items come in. I tend to need alot of odd items for work- we recently shot a video for breast cancer awareness and i was able to find a lot of pink items here. I have been going to Sam Moon for years. I know they aren't super friendly but I don't shop here to chit chat. But I will never darken their door again. I bought some reading glasses in Austin last week. When I got home, I noticed they were scratched and I couldn't clean it off. I went today to exchange them, with tags and receipt, and since they did not have it in stock, they weren't going to exchange them. Their stock rotates so quickly, of course it wasn't in stock; plus, I bought them in Austin. I had to make a scene before they would just give me another dang pair of $7.99 readers. The staff was very slow and made way too many mistakes. I get a belt from a box that says "buy one get one free" but the lady wouldn't give me the deal. She also gave me the wrong change, my amount needed to pay was $34.54 but I give her 54 dollars and 54 cents, so she was supposed to give me $20 back but she gave $15. I've heard friends raving about Sam Moon for years but never managed to visit. I always shied away because of the crazy crowds they have on weekends. I finally managed to visit this location on a week day and it was pretty much what I expected. They have lots and lots of purses, wallets, scarves, TONS of jewelry, and a lot of other miscellaneous items. The prices are very cheap but quality-wise, you get what you pay for. I'm an earring fanatic and saw so many pairs I wanted to get but managed to keep to my budget and walk out with just one. This is a good place to take out-of-town guests who love to shop. Heads up this is a lil long....I'm visiting Texas from California. I met My daughter in laws relatives at my grandson bday party, they saw a scarf I brought her from a B-iconic store in Las Vegas (Excalibur hotel/casino) they said it made them think of Sam Moon, a store I'd probably like since I loved her purse & the style of the scarf! The next day they came over & picked me up to take me shopping, (can't beat this Southern hospitality) and now I can't count the total hours I've been there to Sam Moon 2 days in a row! I would give 5* but after spending $80 the first day & over $160 the next, I have to return tomorrow (twist my arm) due to a defective bracelet from day one & broken earring back also the lady charging me "twice" for a bracelet today. The selection is great, the place is clean & the people are ok/friendly (overall). It was truly more than a 4* but it's not letting me give a 41/2*. I didn't find a white purse, however!, I DIDN'T find what I was looking for at the Coach Outlet either. Well I didn't come 1200 miles to go shopping though this will be on my list from now on (each time I visit). I wish there were things for my grand boys. I ran in on my way to the airport to exchange the bracelet & earrings I purchased on day 2 & clear up the over charge. It was actually the back of the earring piece that was broke, she tells me it's not broke you just have to squeeze it, yes I know how they work & might loosen but yes this was actually broke. I was just going to pick up more backs anyway so I told her don't worry about it, I should've been more clear cause I didn't inspect the replacement earrings she brought to the counter, I saw they were the same but now these are missing a rhinestone. They were acting as if they were going to do a full investigation lol but truly thought they were going to check the cameras or if the register came up "over" that day for the overcharge. There were other things I couldn't get my mind off of so at the customer service desk I asked if I could leave that stuff there as they were 'doing their thing' so I can pick up something else I wanted to buy, Long story short she tells me it's my word against hers (in regards to the cashier from the day of overcharge) no cameras she says. Sorry to advertise that Sam Moon, it might have been cheaper to refund me! Or simply see if that register came up "over" that day. Anyway not a big deal it was still a lot of fun, this place is like a craft store AND accessories store combined. My suggestion is check out your stuff before you buy & pay attention to how many items you buy, it will have a total # of items sold at the bottom of your receipt above the barcode. At that moment it left a bad taste in my mouth after spending over a couple hundred dollars on a bunch of things I didn't need, I probably would've had my December trip (for stocking stuffers) scheduled by now if it weren't for their petty attitude over such a minute lil amount "they over charged me" on. oh well it was still memorable! This is not a high end place by no means but very fun unique items & huge variety. Oh and tiaras, wedding accessories even (Kentucky) Derby or tea party hats!, luggage, cute sandal & boots, clothes & hats and saw white purses that day but rushing to the airport ! Truly a stocking stuffer kinda place. This is a great store but they need a new manager the current manager Candy is very rude and unprofessional was just in the store today and saw an incident that she screamed at one of her employee's in front of everybody not the first time I have witness her doing that.
